Following Shun over to the log Mitsu knelt down in front of him as he rolled up his pants leg. Her immediate reaction was the cover her mouth in surprise, her eyes widened with concern. "Shun, these look horrible." She said softly touching his leg gingerly. Without asking she took the bag he had brought and pulled out a bottle of water. "I'm going to flush out the wound a bit more, bare with me?" Slowly she poured the water over the larger gashes to wash them out, trying to be gentle and not agitate the wound more than it already was.

"Do you have anything we can use for bandages? Or a knife? I have an extra shirt on so I can use that if I need to."

"That's okay this should work," Before she took the knife Mitsu pulled her arms back into her hoodie and maneuvered her shirt off so that she wouldn't have to undress. Pulling the shirt through the top of the hoodie and over her head she laid it out over her knee. Taking the switchblade, Mitsu fiddled with it for a moment before it finally opened. Once the blade was out she started to cut up her shirt into one long strip. It didn't take her too long to prepare it and once it was done she went about wrapping his leg. The wrapping was firm but still allowed the blood to flow to the foot. It appeared as though she had been taught to do this properly.

"Sorry, I guess I'm just bad luck on a hike," Mitsu said softly still concentrating on wrapping his leg up. Once the wound was bandaged Mitsu tied off the end and tucked in the extra piece to keep it out of the way. "That should do for now. We'll have to change it to real bandages when we can."

"Y...you call this a small injury?" Mitsu looked a little perplexed as she stood back to her feet. "I would hope...people would try to avoid getting hurt but.... guess....your right." She did know a great deal about general first aid. She had been required to learn it because she had helped out at the pool during the summer with all the kids. But she had liked learning it so she had taken a summer course thanks to her brother's encouragement.

"Do you want to rest for a little bit before we move on?" Mitsu looked up at the sky. It was getting dark pretty fast, it would be dark well before they hit the path so it didn't matter too much she supposed. Looking around she didn't see anything besides the deer up ahead, glad to be in the presence of peaceful creatures.

Mitsu immediately remembered all the scars she had seen. A fair amount of them were large so his claim was probably true, which hurt a little to think about. She didn't like to think of her friend being hurt so badly, especially when it was all because of his 'job.'

Seeing how he decided to rest for a bit Mitsu moved around the area though she was sure to stay within a ten foot radius. She didn't want to stray far, not out here, but she was getting cold again and just couldn't sit still because of it.

Her attention had focused back on the deer for a time. She was rather fascinated by the creatures. They were rather cute but she knew from camp she couldn't get too close. Once she got within a certain distance they would only bolt off and she rather liked being able to see them...so when they seemed alerted by something and bolted off anyway, Mitsu's eyes went wide as she scanned the forest for the cause.

It took her a moment but her eyes settled on a wolf in the distance...and then another and another. It seemed there was a pack of them and they looked to be coming in their direction.

"S..Shun?" Her interaction with actual wolves was very limited, she barely remembered the one at camp though it had seemed friendly enough. Slowly she backed up toward the assassin, her eyes looking over the large canines curiously as they broke off into smaller groups to surround them. One in particular kept a straight path toward the wolf girl, eyes locked on her and nothing else. It's pace slowed as it got near and it started to sniff at the air as it got closer, curious about the scent of a pup.

At first Mitsu cast nervous glances at all the wolves around them, her general posture turning very submissive. She tried to stay as still as possible as the one wolf continued to approach, it's nose bumping into her hand to give it a sniff. Flinching a little, Mitsu closed her eyes expecting to be bitten but that never seemed to happen. Opening her eyes slowly she looked back at the wolf who was still sniffing her over curiously, its posture not at all aggressive.

Looking back at Shun with a furrowed brow, Mitsu could hear the growling coming from the other wolves. "M..maybe it would be best....if you put the knife away?" She asked taking another step back toward him. They seemed to be curious about her but she wasn't sure if that curiosity carried over to Shun.

"I..I don't know." Mitsu was a little too far outside of where she was comfortable so it was hard to focus. Looking at the wolf in front of her again, Mitsu dared to hold out her hand toward it slowly. It didn't seem like it was going to move as it watched her hand approach, so slowly she uncurled her fingers and turned her palm out toward the creature waiting. Curious, the wolf sniffed at her hand again but there was nothing there but it did give her palm a lick.

"I...I think they like me," She said slowly her hand moving a little further to run her fingers through the fur by its head. It seemed to like that idea as it stepped even closer, its head tilting up toward her hand.

Another wolf stepped closer as well, this one sniffing the air around Shun. It was curious as to why he had the scent of the pup on him but still obviously smelled of human. It was confusing enough that it made the wolf wary to approach any closer, circling around the pair to re-approach at a different angle.

"W..what do you think we should do?" Mitsu asked still not sure if quick movements were a good idea. She didn't feel like she was in danger, the general feeling she got from the wolves around them for her was that they were curious and concerned like a parent would be for a lost child. The feeling she got from them for Shun was a bit different, they were confused and not entirely pleased with his presence but not sure if they should be hostile or not. It was hard to explain how she knew but it was a feeling she got coupled with how they were acting around them.

"I...can try," It was different than dealing with Tobi, though the Shiba was much easier to predict. Trying to think over what would be the best way to go about showing the pack that Shun was a friend, Mitsu slowly took a step back trying to avoid stepping on the wolf that had maneuvered behind her. Once she was back to back with Shun she grabbed for his hand. "Just...relax and...trust me." She said softly.

The wolf that had been in front of her had followed her, curious as to what she was doing. Slowly she reached out her hand again to coax the wolf forward, that hand scratching under the large creature's chin. While it seemed content with that she tried to pull Shun's hand around to do the same, being sure to keep her hand over his so the wolf wouldn't be tempted to bite.

"That's a good boy," Mitsu said softly to the creature as she brought Shun's hand to rest on the wolf's neck. The wolf seemed a little confused at first, its head tilting to the side but it didn't move, instead it leaned into the hand scratching under its chin not seeming too bothered that Shun was touching him.
