Barney murred as if to say fine. The driver said, "You could just say he's annex if anyone asks."

Outside I'm smiling,
"Look kid. I've known her for many years and same with this old guy. The cat would like it better. If she questions why, tell her old man Jack said to. I'm older than all three of ya! So she should listen to me. She just pays me to drive around. Just so happens I gotta drive you today." He said, with his scratchy old voice. He had an English accent... He was a good hundred years older than Elizabeth. That meant she looked up to him.

Jack sighed. "Kid, she actually saved me from there. She may come off rough at first, but that's just for show. She kept me around, let me live on my own, and only ask for help a couple times like now. So just leave the cat out. You're new though. She may question why, but she won't send you back just for listening to my advice. She may ask me why, but Barney here would rather have it that way. If you don't want him to walk, carry him. But you don't need to hide him. Just remember, she won't send you back. If anything bad happens and you might, call me up. I'll let you stay at my place till you can go back where you came from or start a new life."

"Crappy...." She said softly and held Barney who laid on her waist so he wouldn't hurt her stomach. "I'm high on drugs, asses won't let me out and they put silver lining along the door so I wouldn't try to escape again.... Jack told you to keep him out? I don't care.... Just if his advice seems weird don't take it. Present times aren't like old times.

Elizabeth stuck her tongue out. "Twice actually. First time I reached the lobbyist thing or whatever and the security guards caught me. Then the second time I made it to the elevator an they dragged me back and put silver on the door. It's the gray sparkly stuff around the door and windows. I'm not gonna jump out the window though so I don't know why.... But now to leave I need them to remove the barrier of it or I'll burn."
