I'm not addressing you I'm talking to the others who argued the point but didn't look at the OFFICIAL source.

Then if it's open to speculation, we're free to believe what we want, right?

There is nothing saying he's NOT decended from Unicron.
Yes you can think what you want but also just look in to the information a little more properly does help before you make up your mind on things.

Dear lord, are we still arguing about that?

Let people believe what they want to believe. Hasbro has dropped the BW line/story, so it's open for the imagination now.

Not arguing just saying next time you go posting, consider all sources of info first before making a final opinion.

Who said I didn't look at all sources?

All I ever said was that people are free to believe what they want. Why are you arguing that? Because I was trying to give an open-ending to the "Tarantulas" debate?

"The source..." So the question is which is the "right" source? Wikipedia and a person's synopsis. Who is this Ben Yee? Is he even in the credits for BW?

Those questions should be asked before anyone claims anything. Now my thoughts are if you really want the TRUTH you will probably have to find the writer of the story. Not a person who's "helped with the production" because who is that person? A nobody in short. He helped but the thoughts, ideas, story, are all from the writer not the assistant. If the Assistant knew the answer then he would be the writer, no?

So I think Trantulas and his "other origins" should be settled not in the fact that there are all these sources stating where he came from but settle in the belief of the people who took that statement and the other "hints" within the show. Evidence should be pulled from the episodes created not through what so and so says about what and what.

I hope that puts out some of the tension regarding this topic smile

So for those interested I think a notepad, a pen and a few hours of work is needed to record the details (points) that will put insight in this debate.

If YOU look at the credits he's listed on the credits as Ben Yee Transformers Consultant.

Here's the crast&crew link.
http://www.bwtf.com/bw/tvshow/cast.shtml

I dare you to check the credits of ANY Beast Wars episode and look for that name in the credits at the end of the episode as soon as it starts.

EVEN if he's there, he's not the writer now is he?

He's a consultant thus he only gives his views. The ultimate answer must come from the writer not what someone else says. That's my opinion anyway, because if anyone can give a statement even if all you were doing was coloring then there would be many different versions of a story that they didn't even write.

I was just wondering, when does the events prior to the Beast Wars: The Gathering comic take place. It's mentioned that the events called the Beast Wars already occured and Razorbeast was aware of the threat Megatron posed when he had him at his mercy and could have ended it, but choose to respect the timeline. Does this mean that he's aware of what Megatron has done during the events of the Beast Machines or is he stating the threat he posed during the Beast Wars?

I took the series as happening before Beast Machines, while Megatron was still gone from Cybertron. However, I don't think it was ever specifically stated. Since no one is in techno-organic forms, though, it seemed the most logical to me.

I thought Beast Wars was pretty funny. I was rather surprised when it got to Beast Machines and everything got all dark and cyberpunkish. But happy! I actually really liked Beast Machines! It had some definite plot holes but no more so than Beast Wars did, as far as I could tell.

Does anyone know where I can read a script of Dark Glass or whatever it was called? You know, the ep that never got aired. The one where Rattrap tries to download the old Dinobot's personality into the clone and it kinda...backfires?

I guess this is just one of those topics that can never be fully explained because there are so many possiblities to the possible universe setting or ending of the story. 3nodding cool
