EdwardYaitsIII "Ahh," Denise said, "They said an advance for Vahn would arrive with the sword. I don't know how much for, it's none of my business, but tell him I said congragulations on his new job, whatver it may be." Along with his sword, Vahn would receive a card cedited with 100,000 gain credits, he would also receive a credit line for a low interest loan of up to 1 million credits. "Hmm..." Lucind pondered on that option, fishing a hair band out of her robe's pocket and tying her blue strands. Somehow, that was too complicated for her taste and the woman changed her mind. "Denise, are there any other clothes here in the hospital Vahn and I could borrow? Just something plain for the way back." Then, they only had to wait for his sword to be brought back, while she would make a call to arrange the transport.

"Give me your sizes and preferences and I'll have something bought up, as the stuff you came in just won't do," Denise said with a smile. "Don't worry about it, I can get just about anything I want since you've been here. If I ordered cavier and said it was for you, They'd bring it. I hate cavier, just an example."

Vahn Kyonuske Standing in the room, he removed the last of the bandages from his right arm, letting the blackened and damp material hit the floor. "...." Just a little further I keep telling myself... just a little more.He flexed the arm a bit, before pulling off the hospital gown completely, not liking the sensation of wearing such a thing... hopsitals really put him off. And the contempt inside me can be squandered...His flesh, it would look almost completely healed, the stitching closed. The stitches were special, designed to meld and integrate with his flesh. He would notice black lines across his arm. It would look like someone had taken a black sewing thread and wrapped it tightly, but that would be all the worse it would look. Contempt, the very word made his arm pulse with energy, dark energy, darker than the voids of the universe. Fill yourself with hatred and wrath, then know your true power.

"Ungh..."
Lowering his arm, he looked away, feeling unsettled by something. His chest throbbed... and a cold sweat had broken out over his nude body, nothing but the linen from the bed covering his lower waist as he waited for the Siren's return.
The more I stay here... the more I just don't feel right..

"That's really kind of you Denise, thank you," Lucind smiled. She wrote down her own sizes - but due to the fact she had an eye for clothes and fashion plus that she'd talked with Sun during HoH about the team's outfit, she was also able to give Vahn's measures more or less precisely. A size larger might be better though, she thought, at least for the pants.
A minute later she gave the nurse the piece of paper, her list containing underwear, socks, plain jeans for both of them, a dark coloured sweatshirt for him, a blouse for her (black, blue or white), black boots - did Vahn still have his greaves? Lucind didn't know, so she ordered a pair for him, too -, some sportive short jacket for him and something alike or a blazer for her. A side note asked to just make sure they wouldn't run around in partner look, with a winking smiley next to it.
Thanking the woman again, Lucind asked for the number of the transport division to find out which way of travelling back the could use.
After that, she'd return to Vahn's room. She frowned inside. Obviously, he didn't only want to leave as soon as possible because of Sunstrike, he also seemed to suffer from a general...dislike of hospitals.

Hearing her come in, as well as sensing her body heat, he turned towards the door, a slightly surprised look on his face.
"Well-- how'd it go?"
He kept himself decent in front of her of course, although little was left to the imagination.

Not caring for his quasi-nakedness, she stepped in and leaned against the bed frame. "Well, we will sit in one of Yait's helicopters in around one and a half hour, bringing us wherever we want to head to, if there aren't any unplanned delays or problems of any kind.
Also, I've ordered us some clothes which should arrive together with your sword...by the way, what's with your own boots? Maybe they come with the fang, too."
During her last words, the woman's eyes rested on Vahn's right arm, then - "So...how are you doing?" - they stared right into his yellow ones. Patients got to hear this question everday. But Lucind seemed to be quite serious about it, thinking of what the man had told her, that his body more and more refused working properly. She remembered most things Ezekiel had told her. And what had happened at the docks.
Maybe taking a flight wasn't even a good idea.

"As well as be expected." He broke away from her gaze, finding himself deeply trouble by her look. "Can't expect the Gods to favour us all the time, can we?"
He drew the sheets around his body a bit better, before seating himself on the edge of the bed. "As long as we can get out of this blasted hospital."

"The gods, eh...?"
Finally, she let her look wander through the room, made a few steps to switch out the still protesting machines.
"I know you'd rather not speak about it, 'bout what happened at Latent...with you. But I might have to come back to it later on. I'm only a halfblood, yet playing with fire items should better be avoided."
Or being lifted up by black flame tentacles, she added to herself.
"It's unlikely, but still there is the possibility of an error caused by the contact. Especially in combination with the attack of that Behemoth... -
But right now, I'm craving for something sweet...and coffee. You wanna have something, too?"

"....."
He listened to her words, choosing to keep quiet and avoiding her gaze. He pretended to busy himself with the fabric on his body before her question came.
"Ah... yea, sure."
...Truth be told, I don't even remember much of that day.

She was well aware of his aloofness and just paid him one last, silent look before she asked if he was fine with coffee and donuts as well or if she should bring something else.
Lucind returned after ten minutes, also bringing a bottle of water and from then on, she would only chatter about rather trivial things: about what she'd found out about Yaits Corporation, what she'd ordered for them and that she hoped the clothes would fit and also about her shop, that it was really good she'd made her friend Kara becoming her business partner since the number of unplanned events like this had been going up recently...

"Slaughtered by the Sons of Anak."
He suddenly intterupted, finally speaking. But from the tone of voice he employed, it was more of an afterthought, as he gazed towards the far wall. "That's what they declared when my brother killed our father."

"...
So, he did it?"
She took another sip from her coffee after finishing her second donut, as if it where some everyday comment he had just made.
Anyway, the woman had this distinct feeling that it wasn't only her messed up mind which refused to give a clear statement, but that it had given her some confusion before: the question who had killed the man called Draeger, possessed by Efreet.

"Yea... the first time he died... it was by my brother's hands. He was still.. human then. But of course, death rarely has a hold of people in this world."
He lowered his head, a hand massaging his temple as he shook a headache off.

"Well...in the end, even death won't be unemployed any soon." One corner of her mouth curled into a smile, she quoted from somewhere:
"Only at the end, it seems to go fast, and always have gone fast."
She put the donut-box onto his bedside table.
"You should allow their painkillers to work. For a while at least."
