Kemuri smiled a nervous smile and patted his hand on Lily's head. "don't you have relatives to see?" he said in a 'please leave... your embaressing me' tone of voice.
Lily turned around and looked at the ever so tall herald. "nope~ they're out shopping somewhere. for clothes and stuff. i'd much rather bother you than go shopping!" she said with a sweet sinister smile~
Kemuri looked away with a pout. he didn't like being annoyed by his young guardian.

Subo snorted, not bothering to hide her amusement. "Well, bothering can be more entertaining than shopping most of the time."
Lind wrinkeld his nose atht hemention of shopping. "Bleeeh."

"yea. it can be. unless you're with your friends going hyper at the mall." lily said as she giggled at the little boy's reply to what he thought of shopping. he might not have liked shopping that much, little boys don't take much interest in that.
"shopping is boring. all you do is walk around looking at stuff." Kemuri said bluntly at her with a half emotionless face. he hadn't gone shopping with Lily or anyone before. but he knew the basics. "then why do you look interested in shopping? nee? nee?" lily said nudging him on the arm a bit. "i do not!" he said in an annoyed tone of voice.

Kotatsu came into town, pulling Guinevere along by the hand. She didn't understand why Guinevere was acting so sullen, she was the one that had wanted to come. "You SAID you wanted to come to town." reminded Kotatsu, looking at the black haired girl.
Guinevere was disappointed. Was this the town? She had expected something more interesting. Well at least she had her new dress and shoes. "I knoooow that." she whined in her soft voice. "I thought it would be more exciting." Then she saw that thing. THat masquearde thing. With the black feathers. Ooooo! There was a kid and people with him though. But the black feathers were so magical looking... "Let's go that way." insisted the child, tugging on Kotatsu.

Kemuri heard foot steps from behind him. he turned around with a gentle smile with Lind still on his arm, and saw a small girl, looking younger than Lind and an older girl. Kemuri smiled at the young girl that seemed to might also be interested in his feathers... everyone was interested in his feathers. 'oh, please don't say something like, ZOMG! you're the kidnapper!'Kemuri thought as he looked at the little girl and guardian.
"what's wrong Kemuri?" Lily saidlooking to where he looked. 'oh! it's a little girl and her guardian!' Lily thought as she smiled too. lily didn't want to creep anyone ou with her first time to town with Kemuri.

ZOMG, that was the kidnapper! Kotatsu clutched Guinevere's hand just a smidgen tighter, but Guinevere wrenched her had from Kotatsu and ran up to the winged man. "Guinevere!" she called out worriedly, watching as the Herald ran up to the people over there. She ran to catch up, stopping when she reached the child. Seeing two oler women and a child along with the kidnapper, she nodded to them and said "Hello. Nice day, isn't it?" in a cheerful tone.Guinevere looked up at the man... And promptly forgot everything she was going to say. People were intimidating up close! She was probably going to say something about witchcraft. The words were there, but she couldn't... get... ahold of them! Sentence structure failed to happen in her head so instead she blurted out whatever came to mind. "I tried to collect the black feathers you dropped but Kotatsu gave them to the gypsy man!" she said. That wasn't what she meant to say! Guinevere bit her lip. The black feather man must think her slow.

He laughed quietly and kneeled down on one knee towards the little girl. "well, you have pretty feathers too. all white and ribbony." he said stroking her feathers lightly while still holding onto Lind on his arm. his feathers were not as soft as hers. his feathers felt harder than her's. his down feathers were softer though. but they looked soft. The young girl's feathers felt softer than anything that he had felt before.
"yeah. it's a nice day today." Lily said to the older girl that came along with the younger girl. "what's you're nme? i'm Lily and that young man is Kemuri" she said as a smile came accross her face.

"My name's Kotatsu." responded Kotatsu. "And that is Guinevere. A pleasure to meet you." she said, flashing a smile. "I saw him at the masquerade but I didn't know Kemuri lived with you."
Guinevere pouted inside but her face smiled when Kemuri laughed at her. She didn't like that, it meant people weren't taking her seriously. She wanted so badly to be taken seriously. However, she couldn't tell this man to stop laughing. It was different from Kotatsu. He'd think the worse of her while she was pretty sure Kotatsu wouldn't hate her even if she blew up the continent. "I don't like them." she said honestly. "I want to be a witch and Kotatsu says they make me look cute. Witches should look mysterious, not cute." she said emphatically. "And they should have black cats with yellow eyes but we only have Pucci and he's white and black with blue eyes but he's at home now." Now that there was something to talk about, her ideas came out more easily. She looked at Lind. "Who's that? And what's you name?" she asked Kemuri.

he smiled and said, " i'm Kemuri. i think you'd make a wonderful witch. with the Best potions in the world. and the most black kitty cat. why don't you like your wings? they look wonderful. and are treated very nice. what's your name, dear?" he asked also. he thoguht she was quite wonderful. and a very nice little girl. she would grow up to be a nice young lady with the proper witch skills.
Lily laughed a bit and said, "he just sorta followed me home... like a little stray kitty cat. but, tall, has big navy blue ish black wings and navy blue hair. then... he just started to live in my room... it's alright though..." she had a kind smile. she wasn't bothered by him, and he wasn't bothered about being a secret in the house.

Kotatsu smiled. It sounded like they were happy together. Hearing Kemuri, she was glad he was humoring Guinevere. To Kotatsu it sounded pretty ridiculous that the little girl should believe in witchcraft and magic like in fairy tales.
"My name is Guinevere. It's nice to meet you." said Guinevere, suddenly shy again at all the compliments. She wanted to tell him how she thought his feathers belonged to a raven or a witch's familiar or a huge demon at first but thought that this might sound silly to the big man. So instead she said "Are you a wizard? Kotatsu says they're not real but you look like one."

"not one ounce of magic in me. so i'm no wizard. but there are many people who don't have magic that can mix something extraordinary. like, chefs, or scientists. they make good stuff with what their specialty is." he said to the little girl. he stroked Guinevere's dark black hair. it was lushious and deep in colour. it seemed so natural. he put Lind onto the ground, but made sure he got his balance first.
Lily looked over to see if Kemuri was doing anything weird to the little girl. he really liked pretty girls. no matter how young... he was weird like that... he wasn't doing anything bad, so, she left him be with the little girl.

Guinevere looked at him. But he looked really mystical! How could he not be magical at all? Maybe it didn't matter whether you looked mystical? Then... then she mightn't be magical at all! Panicking, she changed the subject. "Scientists?" she asked, unfamiliar with the word. She knew what a chef was. A chef was someone who cooked better than Kotatsu.

"scientists are people who are good at science... they do all these equations to find out reactuins to chemicals. it's sort of like mixing weird stuff to make a brand new thing. like witches. but scientists don't mix frog eyes and newt tounges and stuff. they mix real chemicals. " he said to the young girl. he wasn't sure what scientists mixed together, but he knew they made great discoverys!

Lind clung to Kemuri's arm as he knelt down so he didn't fall. "I'm Lind." His head craned around to peer at Guinevere's wings. "Waah! Your wings are pretty tooo!"
Subo nodded back to Kotatsu. "Nice to meet you, Kotatsu."

"you two seem to get along well." he said with his eyes closed and a bright smile on his face. he felt distant from the children. maybe it was because he was almost 15 years older than them? no that couldn't be it. he was still glad to see that the two didn't get in a fight the moment they talked to each other. that would be pure chaos. and if both of them were stubborn to stop fighting too... kemuri guessed that they wouldn't do that. they were really nice kids after all.
