Notwen was feeling the intense vibrations of the resonance all over his body. Blades of aura formed all around him. They were attached to astral chains that was connected to his spirit body. The Uchiha smiled a toothy grin and lunged at the target dummy. He was surprised at how fast he was going, so surprised that he forgot to stop himself from sailing right into a wooden crate. There was a loud splintering crack, followed by the sound of spilling foam pellets. Notwen got up just in time to see the dummy disappear around a corner. He expected to feel the pain of running into the solid wood, but it never came. We are in the enlightened state, Notwen. The long-haired blonde's consciousness was taken back to the subconscious realm. This time however, he was floating over a vast sea full of lush, green islands. Some had volcanoes, while some were crescent-shaped, but Notwen wasn't able to enjoy the view since he was dragged down by some unseen force to a star-shaped island. Once he had touched down, Notwen noticed that he had landed at the foot of long stone pedestals that led to a small shrine-like building. Looking at the panorama while climbing the stairs, the long-haired blonde wondered how all of the scenery got there. The scents, the textures, the sights, it all felt so real, and so... alive. The young Uchiha got to the shrine and beheld an intriguing sight. There, sitting cross-legged on an altar was a replica of himself. It seemed like the doppelganger was burning with a golden flame. He opened his eyes, revealing a three-tomoed sharingan. " Welcome back, Notwen. How do you like the scenery?" said Drow, folding his flaming arms over his chest. " Come up here and join me, we have a lot of work to cover." Notwen obeyed the command and sat cross-legged on the pedestal facing his replica. " Now hold my hand again like you did before." After locking hands, Drow continued. " This is the form i take when our astral bodies resonate. It signifies our bond, and the flames signify its strength. Since we are now connected, you can control your body from here. Just think about what you want to do." Notwen smiled. The power was overwhelming. He shot around the corner that the dummy had turned on and found that it was still skating away. How much time has passed? he wondered, but put the thought from his mind. Focusing his attention to the dummy's back, Notwen launched one of the astral blades at it. Yuki had woken up, in a hospital bed. His eyes were barely open as he saw dark shadowy figures mumbling odd phrases. A few more minutes of concentrating brought color back to the world, and the shadowy figures had turned into some familiar faces. Masaki, Mrs. Yamanaka, Hisaki, Notwen, and Aya were all staring back at him. "How could you?" Were the first words out of anyone, which originated from the Elder Yamanaka. Yuki didn't have time to respond as his father grew red in the face as his voice elevated in volume, "How could you disgrace the Yamanaka Clan with your rubbish performance in the exams?" The son was stunned, he knew he wasn't doing that well in the exams, but what exactly happened that he was now in a hospital bed? His father had always told him that doing the best he can was enough most of the time, so where did he get his new hot-headed temperament?
Masaki spun around and briskly walked off as his mother came closer. "I cannot believe I gave birth to such filth." She said in such a convincing manner that it made Yuki's heart sink. "If I knew I was going to have you as a son, I would have killed you as soon as I could." Mrs. Yamanaka fiercely grunted before she shifted to the side for the three other Genin in the room. Hisaki and Notwen were side by side, an arm around each others shoulders as if they were best friends. "Hey Yuki," Hisaki began, with his signature grin planted on his face. "Hisaki, what the hell is going on?" Yuki whispered, trying not to get his parent's attention, "Well, you failed the Chuunin exams. In fact, the Hokage even demanded that you were to evacuate the area before you made Konoha look even more pathetic. Notwen decided to come to our village to take your spot. He's so cool, and so much smarter than you too!" They both turned towards each other and high-fived, before the Hyuuga leaned in towards Yuki's ear. "I'm also banging your mom." He whispered, giving Mrs. Yamanaka a wink. She returned the wink, and then blushed.
That's it. That was the last straw. Yuki reached towards Hisaki, planning on punishing him for such a rude comment, but his hospital bed began to vibrate hysterically. Chain slithered from underneath it, causing Yuki to be chained down to his bed. It wasn't as erotic as most people would think, as they began to burn. The heat coming from his new chains was outrageous, the Yamanaka began to sweat profusely. "What the ******** is going?!" He shouted, frightened by the scene. "Wait! This is just some stupid Genjutsu! Get me out of here! You're not real!" The blond shouted, yelped, and even barked continuously, until his friends and family gathered around the pained Yuki and laughed, chortled, and giggled until they sounded like hyenas. Tears even began to form in his eyes.
Then it was all gone. He felt the earthy ground underneath him as his partner freed him from whats left of the net. The smell of rotting vegetation made it's way back into his nose. It was all gone, the genjutsu had broken! The Yamanaka crawled forward a few feet before opening his eyes. His head was aching horribly, as if he had a wild party and grew intoxicated beyond belief. Yuki mumbled something, before shaking his head and standing up, wobbly again. He stared at his Hyuuga friend, before launching himself at him, throwing a punch towards his friend's face. "That's for talking about my mother." The Yamanaka said cooly, before turning towards the compound slowly, "Now, let's get rid of this target. I really need to relax after this strenuous mission." He murmured, as he shook off his headache and charged towards their final objective.

The Yamanaka crawled a bit, still in a daze, before shaking his head and trying to stand up. Hisaki could tell he was totally out of it, so he tried to comfort the lad, "You need a moment to get used to reality?" Suddenly, the blond's face turned from dazed confusion to relentless anger. Hisaki barely managed an "Oh s**t," before he had a fist in his face. Hisaki fell backwards, gripping his visage, "DAMMITALL! WHAT WAS THAT FOR?" Apparently, it was for something he said about Yuki's mother. But wasn't he out of it when I said that stuff?Yuki turned towards the compound in his usual sulky way, and said that he wanted to get it over with, because he needed to relax after a mission like this. Suddenly, Yuki sprinted ahead, leaving Hisaki in the dust. Again. The Hyuuga pulled himself off of the ground, threw his hands in the air, and yelled, "AWW, HERE IT GOES!" Before ninja-sprinting into the compound behind Yuki. Once inside, Hisaki found that they were in a large storage building. Notwen had already gotten started fighting against the target. There were broken crates and foam pellets everywhere. Hisaki motioned to Yuki, then sprinted ahead, following the trail of destroyed objects. It didn't take long to find the battle. Again, the target was a dummy, just like the sentries outside, except that this one seemed to have much more agility, and feet akin to Rollerblades. Like the sentries outside, it had a net launcher built into it's arm. However, Notwen had scored a hit on this one, there was a large chunk missing from its back. The dummy jumped and skidded away from Notwen, and straight towards Hisaki. A deviant grin stretched across Hisaki's face. He flicked his fingers, and oil from his mini-gourd come up into his hand coating his fingers in extra flammability. As the dummy barreled his way, Hisaki roared, "Scorn chastity and spite purity! These are the Claws of the Succubus! Second Realm: Talons of Eros." Red chakra covered his fingers, then ignited to make foot long, flaming claws on each hand. Hisaki jumped forward, thrusting his hand and those deadly talons in front of him.

The target's area was quite large, and had the look of a shipment factory or storage container. Broken supplies littered a few spots here and there as the Yamanaka and Hyuuga examined the area, before the latter of the two motioned forwards. Yuki followed the other Leaf Shinobi as he headed closer to the battlefield. The blond saw their target, a sentry that looked like a close cousin to the one's outside, it was obviously more fortified however. Then again, it seemed Notwen had already struck it once, but didn't bring it down. "Scorn chastity and spite purity! These are the Claws of the Succubus! Secod Realm: Talons of Eros." Hisaki announced. Yuki gawked at his new technique, "I don't remember him having that technique, how long was out from that Genjutsu?" He murmured to himself as he watched Hisaki make his move. The Target, however, easily dodged the attack to the side and continued forward, not even giving Hisaki the time of day. The Yamanaka quickly measured where exactly the Target was heading, and it's destination was towards the escape route! "It's trying to escape!" Yuki called out as he dashed towards the exit as well, hoping to overcome the speed of the dummy. Quote: Attempting to stop the Dummy from using Flee. (Agix2) + awareness buffs vs 50 (20x2) + 0 vs 50 40 vs 50 = 49% + 10% (SUPAH MAPAH!) = 59% or 59 or lower RNG, I LOVE YOU 47! The feeling of love is mutual! Yuki, surprisingly after his latest failure when it comes to physical ability, ran ahead of the rollerblading dummy and reached the exit before it. He spread his arms wide, as if trying to scare a flock of birds away. The dummy swerved a bit, then launched his net at the young Yamanaka. Forming together the handseals of the simple jutsu, "Wind Scythe!" Yuki roared, tearing the net in half as the dummy turned tail and ran back towards the center of the compound. A sinister grin appeared on Yuki's face as he stood guard near the exit. It didn't flee! I know I'm not worthless. I may have gotten caught up in...all of the Genjutsu traps so far, but I will not let us fail this mission! With renewed confidence, he sprinted towards the dummy, ready to assist his allies. (Sorry ssa, bad habit I guess :C )

Notwen turned around as the dummy tried getting away. The aura sword had struck it in the back, and was now lodged so wherever the dummy went, the long-haired blonde would know. Two bright blips appeared on Notwen's thermal scan, and due to his sharingan, he was able to identify them as Yuki and Hisaki. So Hisaki was able to free Yuki after all... thought the Uchiha as he followed close behind the dummy. Notwen had to jump away as Hisaki activated a larger version of his 'Talons of Eros' in the hopes of striking the dummy, which dodged the attack and kept going for the exit. Yuki got in the escaping dummy's way. The dummy tried using a net on the Yamanaka, but the latter used his 'Wind Sickles' to tear the net to shreds. The dummy turned tail and ran back towards Notwen, who was now clinging to a wooden crate using his chakra control. On the pedestal in the island within Notwen's subconscious, Drow began explaining the next course of action. " It seems that you are starting to get used to the vibrations, because i feel less turbulence now." The Uchiha nodded as he also felt the vibrations were more subtle than before. " Your team mates are going to have to be careful. If they get too close to your body, the aura blades can cause serious damage." " I'll tell them. We're going in for another attack on the target." Drow nodded in agreement. Both astral beings closed their eyes and intensified the resonance. " Hisaki, Yuki, make sure you don't get too close to me. If you are going to attack the target directly, make sure i'm not close to you. And another thing. It seems you were right Hisaki. If Yuki wasn't here, the dummy could have escaped. I was wrong." With that Notwen charged at the dummy again, this time sending most of the remaining astral blades at the dummy. FATALITY The chained blades struck the dummy repeatedly, severing all of its limbs and head. With a wooden all of the appendages landed on the ground, rolled a few inches, then fell still. It was over.
"We did it, Drow!" said Notwen excitedly, releasing the light-man's hand. Upon doing so, Drow returned to his original rainbow-hued form.
"Yes, we did. Congratulations on passing the exam." As he spoke, the light that had been shining on the world began to fade, along with the resonance.
"Wait, why is the light disappearing?" asked Notwen as he began to float skyward with the light-man. He gazed down at the diminishing world of islands, which was soon covered in an impenetrable blackness.
"This world will only gain its light when we are resonating. Do not worry, you can explore this world any time you please, but for now, it is time to return to the conscious mind." Again Drow released a flash of light that transported Notwen back to reality.

Hisaki jumped back as Notwen blasted through the wooden dummy. Blades of chakra shredded the fake body, and sent shards of wood all over the floor, as well as a sizable amount of oily lubricant. As the warehouse quieted down again, Hisaki said enthusiastically, "WELL THEN! Glad to know that I was of service. People should listen to me more, you know?" He finished the sentence by crossing his arms.
"Oh yeah, before I forget." Hisaki fumbled through his pocket, and drew out a very thin scroll (basically a stick with a connected, wrapped piece of paper around it), and unfurled it. "Hey, Notwen! Before you go anywhere, take this!" He grabbed the pen from his pocket, and wrote an address on the back, "I'm hosting dinner at this restaurant tonight. Just go there and say that you're with the Hisaki Hyuuga Party. My treat." Hisaki wrapped up the scroll, and tossed it over, "Oh, and on the back side is a seal. Just press it sorta, and it'll make a bowl of Ichiraku Ramen, from their Leaf Branch. Just in case you don't feel like eating out or something. Yuki, you're going to, but I'll just show you were it is or something."

Yuki fell back, as Notwen told his two other comrades to watch out for his next attack. The Yamanaka turned a corner and hid behind some boxes, peeking out as to why the Genin instructed them to back off. He had released what seemed to be blades made out of some kind of energy towards their target. It exploded in a shower of wooden debris and globs of oil. Silence filled the battleground, until Hisaki ruined it with his arrogant remark.
The Hyuuga invited the Uchiha to a dinner party that he apparently was having. The Hisaki Hyuuga Party? when the hell did he have time to make dinner reservations? I'm glad he has his priorities straightened out. Hisaki then explained quickly that Yuki was coming too. "Wait, what?! I never agreed to going to dinner! I need to rest, I'm mentally exhausted from all those damn traps!" Yuki whined, before finally submitting, "As long as you're paying, its fine with me." He stomped out of the exam area, utilizing the the target's escape tunnel.

Notwen took the thin scroll from Hisaki, listening to the information about the dinner party he was throwing, and about the snack sealed on the other side.
"Gee, thanks Hisaki. I'll be there for sure." he said, walking with the group towards the exit. Notwen turned to the Yamanaka. "Yuki, you did great. You saved the mission with your quick thinking." When they had reached the village. Notwen parted with the two, heading to his cabin for a short nap.
