 H a w k p a w“Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow.”___________________________(( Cute, too. o wo<3 ))
[Hawkpaw widened his eyes as he heard Thunderpaw rouse. He glanced at Thor as he bounded off to fetch his daughter food. He tentatively stood up and padded closer to her, examining the blood that caked her pelt.]
“Thank StarClan...Okay, I have to get you over to the stream...Let's hope this doesn't hurt you too much...”
[Sighing, he gently bit into Thunderpaw's scruff, then hauled her up, and, twisting his head, tried to get her onto his back. He succeeded, though it stung like an adder's bite. Nonetheless, Hawkpaw began to gently pad towards the stream, making sure to keep his belly brushing the ground in case Thunderpaw slid off of him.]
“Hang on, we're almost there...Don't try to speak just yet...”
[He mewed softly, hoping that she couldn't catch the pain in his voice. Her weight and his crouching strained his wounds, but again, he fought back hisses of pain. Soon enough, they arrived at the riverbank. He tried to lie down and left Thunderpaw crawl off of him so that her muzzle would be wetted by the gentle stream of the shallow water.]
“There. Now lap it up...Your father will be back soon.”
[Hawkpaw meowed, his eyes flashing with worry and joy. Thunderpaw was back, but she was still in danger. He sat down right next to her, making sure she didn't suddenly feel faint, StarClan forbid.]___________________________

     ❧  ♨[Galespirit shuddered. He padded over to Thunderpaw and Hawkpaw, mouth full with herbs. He put them down gently.]
"I pray you make it back alive, Thunderpaw," he said softly. "You did very well on this journey. StarClan knows you are a worthy apprentice. I hope Silverstar makes you a warrior soon."
[He dipped his head.]
"You too, Hawkpaw. That was a very dangerous move to do, but it was very brave. And very honorable."
[He blinked warmly at the pair.]
"BreezeClan must take our leave now...we have many infected cats needing treatment."
[He turned and yowled as loud as he could.]
"BreezeClan! We take our leave! We must return home to help our infected clanmates! Grab as many herbs as you can, and then come quickly! We will run as fast as we can, with only a few rests!"
Turning to grab his herbs, he blinked at Thunderpaw and said quickly, "Good luck," before running off.
[BreezeClan warriors followed his lead. Embergaze bounded at his side, his mouth filled with the herbs as well.
Don't worry, Dewburst, Doveflight, Icepaw...and every infected BreezeClan warrior. We're coming home! he thought cheerfully.
Thunderpaw blinked, feeling smug, and lapped at the cool water.]
"I'm doing...better," she said softly, strength returning to her voice. "StarClan forbid I should die on the way back, though...what are we going to do, Hawkpaw? I don't think I can walk."
[She looked at him, worry in her eyes. Thor came bounding back with a freshly caught hawk in his mouth and caught the last bit of what Thunderpaw said.]
"For now, you eat," he commanded. "Build strength. Then I can help you home. Perhaps you can help too, Hawkpaw? I need a second cat to stand on her other side. We will have to be her brace."
[He blinked, then called out to Silverstar.]
"Silverstar, Thunderpaw is injured and cannot walk. I will help her home with another cat, most likely Hawkpaw. We might be behind StormClan...certain cats should run home with remedy, and also other cats who want to go home.
It depends on if the rest StormClan is willing to lag behind with us...other predators might attack, seeking an easy meal..."
[Thor's eyes narrowed worriedly.]
(( Actually, yeah. It's gonna be difficult to get home. owo Sorry, didn't mean to hinder anyone. D:
...Boy, is Galespirit going to have a heck of a wake-up call when he gets back to BreezeClan. D| ))

[Silverstar nodded in ackowledgement, bounding over to the injured apprentice, her green eyes gazing into blue.]
"Thunderpaw, be strong. StormClan will wait. At this point, none of our Clanmates are infected, I pray to StarClan. And we have strong, formidable warriors. We will trsvel alongside our wounded comrades, and that includes you, as well as any other warrior. Thunderpaw, you are ready to become a warrior," Silverstar meowed determinedly.
[Then the pain hit her like a boulder. Her legs buckled as the full effect of her wouds inflicted hit her like a rock. It was her and Thunderpaw that the lions wanted most, and they surely inflicted their damage. Silverstar's spine bones showed from Comet's teeth, and her whole body was covered in deep rivers of blood from the lions' claws.
She gritted her teeth against the pain, keeping in a yowl of pain. Her paws ached, her body shuddered. She was inevitably suffering from loss of blood, wounds, and spirit. She closed her eyes momentarily, praying to StarClan that she wasn't losing another life.] _________________________________________

[Hawkpaw dipped his head in respect and gratitude to Galespirit before the BreezeClan deputy bounded off with his two warriors. Hawkpaw turned back to Thor.]
“I'll be glad to help you home, Thunderpaw. Besides, with Thor and me by your sides--literally--no predator would dare cross us.”
[He grinned, then turned to see Silverstar approach. He felt happy for Thunderpaw. She was going to be made a warrior when the StormClan cats returned! The joy was short-lived, though, as he saw his leader collapse and shudder in pain. Aside from Thunderpaw, she had the worse wounds. It made sense, though. The Slayers were after her, mostly.
Hawkpaw gaped, not knowing what to do.]
“S-Siverstar! O, StarClan...Does anyone have any knowledge of herbs?!”
[He yowled to NightClan, SeaClan, and the rest of StormClan, praying for some cat to know where to find cobwebs or poppy seeds.]___________________________

[Skyepaw sighed, relaxing her musscles as the lions dissapeared. Skyepaw looked around and grabbed as much of the remedy as she could to bring back to Seaclan. She went over to Mosstar, her eyes apologetic.]

[I blinked, dismayed.]
"Here, Silverstar, lay down next to me," I said softly. "You can share my hawk that my father-I mean, baba-caught. It's a little too much for me to eat, anyway..."
[I glanced at Thor apologetically, but he nodded, smug that he had caught the giant bird that would benefit both his daughter and his temporary...or even permanent...leader.
I turned to Hawkpaw, amused.]
"Though, in the end, Hawkpaw sure showed them he was a force to be reckoned with!"
Purring, I said, "They'll surely go for you next time.
Ah...but I guess that's not really a good thing..."
[I had confused myself. I shook my head, glancing at Hawkpaw apologetically. I wasn't sure if I had insulted him.]

“Don't worry, Thunderpaw. If the Slayers do go for me next time, though, I'll make sure to rip off Ravage's paw altogether.”
[He smirked weakly, his gaze falling back to his injured leader.]
“Yes, Silverstar, listen to Thunderpaw. You need to rest as much as she does.”
[He mewed comfortingly, though sternly. If his leader were to push herself too far, things might take a turn for the worst.]___________________________

___________________________________________ [Silverstar blinked gratefully at Thunderpaw and Thor. She drug herself beside Thunderpaw, taking small bites of the hawk and drinks of the stream. She chuckled weakly at Hawkpaw's meek order.]
"Yes, o Hawkpaw." she joked weakly. "But I'm guessing we'll have to rest the night, so we can travel tomorrow. I'm afraid that we won't be back in time for the Gathering."
[Silverstar finished her part of the meal and slowly staggered over to the nearest bush, settling herself in a makeshift nest. She raised her head.]
"Thor, tell Brightspirit that she is in charge temporarily, until I have more strength. If anything happens, don't hesitate to wake me," Silverstar mewed groggily.
[She let her head rest on her paws in the shade of the bush. Her eyelids closed themselves, and eventually she slipped into a deep, peaceful sleep.] _________________________________________

[I watched Silverstar fall asleep, my eyes narrowed contentedly.]
Thor ran off to Brightspirit, dipping his head and whispering quickly, "Silverstar says you are in charge for now...she is injured, and we will rest here for the night."
[He then bounded back, worried for the injured cats.]
He sat down and said, "I will stand guard as long as I can. I don't think I will sleep for some time, after all that!"
[He turned and walked a few cat-lengths away, glancing back once to blink affectionately at me.
I blinked back, grateful to him for giving us privacy. I sighed, my bones and muscles aching and tired. I rolled my shoulders, trying to ease the pain away.]
"I suppose that means we should sleep, eh?" I mewed to Hawkpaw. "After all, we need to walk all the way back...and it might take twice as long...although, maybe it won't. We were going pretty slow before to keep all the cats together..."
[I chatted nervously. For some reason, I was nervous to be alone with Hawkpaw. Well, technically alone. Silverstar was asleep, so I didn't think she counted.]

[Hawkpaw felt his skin tingle with embarassment. He hadn't realized how his words sounded like an order, and of all cats, to his leader. He let his head droop as Silverstar fell asleep. His ears twitched and he looked up at Thunderpaw as she spoke.]
“Oh, uh...I guess so. At least, you and Silverstar do. I'm fine, for the most part...I'll make sure to guard you two while you sleep...Well, uh, me and Thor both.”
[He mewed softly, hoping not to disturb Silverstar's sleep. He felt a bit...awkward. With Thor away and Silverstar asleep, it was the first time he had to talk to Thunderpaw alone since...Well, since the drama with Moonkit and her. That reminded him. Moonkit. He hoped she was doing well and learning all she could from Starpelt. He'd find out soon enough.
He flicked his ears, dismissing the thoughts.]
“Well, anyway, sleep. You need to build your strength back up before we go.”
[He smiled, shifting on his paws as his tail curled around him. His back still stung mildly, even though he sat. But, he chose to ignore it once again. Thor kept catching all these hawks and eagles, which meant that the predatorial birds would try to snatch Thunderpaw away if given the chance. Hawkpaw had to focus on protecting his leader and friend.]___________________________

((OH yeah owo I forgot to mention that Thor has a sort of enemy with every predator bird around xD Since he always catches them. D|
That's actually quite humorous. owo ))
[I nodded quickly, relieved to be left alone, then paused.]
"But...your wound..." I protested, glancing at it worriedly.
[I had seen, between the leaves of the bush, Ravage rip Hawkpaw off. I knew he had strained himself, dragging me here. I blinked again, worried.]
"You don't want to strain it even more...you really should sleep."
[I stared up at him stubbornly. It seemed I was returning to my normal self.]
"In fact, you should sleep. Or at least take turns with Thor...he isn't injured at all. It's different than you guarding us."
[My jaw set in a stubborn manner, I glared at him, half-commandingly, half-teasingly.]
(( Lulz, Thunderpaw's getting bossy. owo She's only thinking of his well being...xD ))

[Hawkpaw defiantly, yet playfully, glared at her.]
“No.” [He mewed stubbornly, turning away from her with his eyes closed. He hesitantly turned back and saw the look she was giving him. Sighing, he rolled his eyes.] “Oh, fine. If you insist...”
[Hawkpaw slid down carefully, trying not to strain his back, and lied down beside Thunderpaw. He licked on his forepaws that still had traces of Ravage's blood encrusted in the thin fur. He threw her a sideways glance.]
“Satisfied?”
[He sarciastically mewed, lips curling into a smug grin.]___________________________

((oh boy D| I think I'm gonna have fun with that in the future...

[I grinned triumphantly.] "Yep," I purred, eyes narrowed contentedly.
[I blinked and sniffed at his paws curiously.]
"I wonder what lion blood tastes like..." I said softly. Wrinkling my nose, I said, "It smells terrible, so I'm guessing it's nasty."
[I chuckled, shaking my head.]
"You'll have to clean off in the morning. We all will...we're covered in blood."
[I blinked, chuckling. I had just noticed just how sticky my pelt really was. I felt slightly embarrassed to have Hawkpaw so close to me in this state, but I ignored it.
Sighing, I rested my head in my paws and stared up at the glittering stars.
Thank you, StarClan, for guiding our pawsteps as we played with fire here tonight... I thought, blinking.]

And, lol, true...But blinking can mean a lot of things. ;D ))
[Hawkpaw drew back his lips in disgust and stared at his bloody paws. The taste of the lion's blood still lingered in his mouth.]
“It is nasty...” [He swiped his tongue over his jaws and lips, trying to remove any traces of blood. It was bitter and rank.] “But I guess the taste and smell of the blood suits them, right? Bitter, nasty and rank, heh.”
[Hawkpaw chuckled, listening to what she had to say about washing the blood off.]
“Well, at least you don't smell like a lion...Anyway, see you in the morning...”
[He mewed, yawning before burrying his muzzle in his paws. His let out eye open just a crack to watch the sky. Silverpelt glittered endlessly above the earth, almost blazing with triumph over the lions. Hawkpaw looked over at Thunderpaw. She too watched the stars. Hawkpaw breathed in deeply, closing his eyes, slilently sending a prayer of thanks to StarClan before finally succumbing to sleep.]___________________________

Brightspirit&Willowheart
[Brightspirit surveyed her Clanmates. Taking in Silverstar's sleeping form, and Thunderpaw and Hawkpaw. Those two are too cute, she thought, smiling. She didn't want to disturb Silverstar, so, instead, she turned to Willowheart]
"I guess this is good-bye"
"I guess so," Willowheart said sadly.
"Don't be sad! I'll see you at Gatherings. You'll have to keep me posted on how that whole mate thing is going" She said, smiling.
[Willowheart smacked her with her shoulder]
"Oh shut up"
[She cracked a smile]
"I'll see you the next time we're both at a Gathering, and I assure you! I'll have a mate by then!"
[Flicking her friends ear with her tail, she ran over towards Lavenderrain]
[Brightspirit smiled, and turned back to keep watch over her Clan]
