Emily smirked. "I'd love to see her try, but there's no real reason to worry about that. I'm not interested. But you're right, back to Amy". She was glad that she was able to take the officer off track like that. If she could keep him occupied with other things she'd be able to formulate a plan to get out of there sooner. Besides, she was getting a headache and she had done what she had come to do.

Jack looked shocked and moved to sit down. "she's..... was all he could get out. she was dead. "how?" he asked eas in his eyes. he couldn't beleive it...Amy..

Jeff managed to hold back a smirk, see he was good at lying. At least when a lot of it was truth. The girl was really pretty, it's just he would have been slapped upside the head by Alfred much sooner than she would have noticed any blushing. Honestly, sometimes he thought Alfred could read his mind. God he hoped not. He nodded to her, his face clear once more, "About Amy. And yourself, you just got here didn't you say? How do you know anything about the crime?"
Eric's knees wanted to buckle as he sat down beside his lover. "We don't know yet." He rested his head on Jack's shoulder closing his eyes. Inhaling his personal scent, he relaxed slowly before adding, "You know, I wasn't, you know, saying it. She really is a ghost now." He kept his eyes closed and his body against Jack's, so he could feel any movement he did.

Emily looked at Jeff blankly. "I thought I had explained myself thoroughly enough, well I'll spell it out for you again. As I came to her house, I saw her body carted away. I did a small investigation and gathered a few facts". She looked at her watch, ready to leave. She smiled, seemingly gliding out of her seat. "Well I must be going now", she said. She collected all of her documents and walked towards the door.

Jack placed a hand on his head and patteed him a minute. He had gotten over the anital shock and would cry later, he needed to comfort Eric now. When Eric said she was a ghost he tenced.
Was he just saying that because he was in shock and wanted to beleive it,...or because she was a ghost.
"A ghost? he asked...."how do you know?" he said slowly.

This time Alfred actually interrupted. "Sit back down Miss Perkins. We are not through. You don't have to give us your information without a court order, you're correct about that." He stood up, walking around the desk to lean against it, in an almost bored stance that matched his monotone voice, "But like every other citizen, we can still hold you for twenty four hours as we know you have information concerning our case." He met her gaze as an equal, acknowledging both her strength and his own. "But I'm sure none of us really want to do that. So now, sit and let's actually talk. Jeff, coffee."
Jeff mentally sighed in relief when Alfred took over. He thought he'd been doing good, but apparently not. Sigh, he really did find this bad cop thing really hard. Only when he hated the person was it easy. Well, he trusted Alfred to fix everything. Still, he couldn't contain the twitch that came when he was treated like a lowly uniform, not his partner. He realized it was to give the two of them time alone, since Emily probably hated Jeff right now, but still. "What do you want Ms. Perkins? The stuff here's barely liquid enough to be considered anything but slime, but it has caffeine."
Eric considered tell him because Amy was possessing him at the moment, but that seemed a little too mean, /Right Ams?/ So he just answered in a simplified way, "I've talked to her./

Amy was listening and mentaly nodded, "You're right. do you think I should come out yet, or do want to try and convinve him ffirst?" she asked him softly, her voice seemed strained. she hated seeing Eric and Jack upset.
Jack looked at him blankly and then looked around. "You talked to her?" he asked surprised...well...what did she say?" he asked. He was trying hard to beleive Eric.

Eric sighed and murmured, mostly to himself and his sister, "See, I told you he'd think I was nuts." For a split second he tensed, wondering if he truly was. Could he not handle his sister's death so instead his mind created her as a ghost? It seemed logical. He would never be able to tell if he was crazy or not. But wait, that girl, the cousin or whatnot of theirs, she saw Amy right? Or was she just pretending, to hurt him like their dad did? She was related to them. He lifted his hollow eyes to Jack's blinking slowly. In a quiet voice he whispered, "She said a lot. She's been with me all day." He sounded young, timid and unsure of himself. He wasn't totally positive she was real anymore. None the less, he said, "Hopefully you can see her," and to Amy he said softly, /Let's try it, and see what happens, okay?/

Amy was shocked at her brothers thoughts. she couldn't speak, she just felt nnumb and shock. He thought she was fake..unreal, he thought he was insane. She followed his orders and silently slipped away from him looking hurt and alone. She didn't look at Jack, she looked to Eric
(should Jack see her?)

((I think Jack shouldn't and thinks Eric's gone crazy. Later he should be an obstacle, someone who's worried about Eric loosing his mental health. That's my opinion.))
Emily smirked, finding the whole situation quite amusing. "Well, I certainly wouldn't want to have to share a cell with Bubba now would I?". When Jeff asked if she wanted something to drink she shook her head. "No thanks, I have something of my own". She unzipped her backpack and reached into it. She pulled out a lockpicking kit, a fingerprint kit, and a handheld radio tuned in to the local police channel before she found her green tea. Placing the other things back into the bag, she sat back into her seat. "I guess I might as well sleep here tonight", she said plainly.

Jeff watched her find her own drink and asked jokingly, “A little Moody-ish aren’t you?” He said it with a grin; he had a little brother who loved Harry Potter, and therefore understood every reference possible. Shaking his head, he left the room for Alfred and his slime while she was taking out all of her belongings. He couldn’t help but think she had enough to rob a bank later this afternoon.
Alfred kept a blank face as she shuffled through her bag of random items. Women and their purses, it always amazed him how much stuff they could keep within it. That thing must have been heavy as a mother f**ker. Hearing her comment, the older man frowned, “You’d prefer sleeping with Bubba to helping us out?” It was not only preposterous, it was going to hurt Amy. There was one thing dancing around, but it reached a point where the victim needed to come before their own asses.

Jeff looked confused. The air suddenly felt cold to him, but he didn't understand what was going on. "I don't" he said softly and confused. He was worried for Eric..could he possibly be in so much shock that he would make this up? "Jack I don't see anyone" his voice was barely above a murmer.

Eric waved his hand at Amy saying as he turned to face her, not looking at Jack, "Go on, say something. That girl, Emily heard you." Though he looked hopeful when he turned, his face fell upon seeing his sisters'. "What's wrong Ams?" He got up and walked over to her, gently placing his hand on her shoulder. He'd done this before, ignore Jack for his sister, and thought nothing other than trying to figure out what happened. Realizing what his thoughts were, he sighed, "Amy, I'm sorry, it was a fleeting thought. I know you're you." He wish he could actually feel her, to hug her for real.

Amy didn't say anything to him. She had wished she he hadn't doubted it at all. Maybe he was right..maybe he couldn't see her..maybe she was dreaming to. She looked to Jack.
"Hey jack" she said softly.
Jack looked confused at his boyfriend. "eric.....what are you doing?"
