Sora cocked her head at him for a little bit, wondering why he seemed almost... nicer? No, that wasnʻt the word... more confused than anything. No doubt, he may have gotten a concussion from his sudden sleep. But pushing that thought aside, she couldnʻt get over the fact that he was so much taller! Now, instead of being feet shorter than her, he was now inches shorter. His hair had grown out, too, just so that it was barely touching his shoulders.

"Itʻs me, David... Sora?" she whispered quietly, just loud enough so that he could hear her. She may have to reintroduce herself, reacquaint herself with the boy. The thought should have scared her, but it didnʻt. She actually felt... almost comforted. She wasnʻt sure why, but she had this warmer feeling in her heart. There had only been one other instance when she had felt this way... but that turned out to be a bitter-sweet moment.

"Aah, you think so?" she asked, running a finger underneath her eyes. She hadnʻt realized how dark the circles had become, how little she had slept. "This may sound kind of creepy, but I was kind of worried that you werenʻt waking up, so I was constantly checking up on you." Her breath caught in her throat slightly as she waited for his reaction. The old David would have kind of freaked out and walked away, but what would this new David do?

"Respect all, Fear none"

David blinked a few times at Sora's statement about constantly checking on him. Now, normally one would assume she meant she was dropping by a lot, which was fine, but if he put that together with the timing on her words... It would mean she was dropping in often enough to never get any sleep at all, which was a bit weird. The fact she did it because she was apparently worried about him was a bit comforting though. "Thanks... I think? That is a bit weird." The boy chuckled a bit nervously. "Sorry about not recognizing you, it's just a lot different. I guess I'll probably be the same with everyone won't I?" He sighed, that was going to be a bit annoying, trying to identify everyone after a full year, from such an altered perspective.

For a second, David froze as he realized something. If he was seeing them so differently, how different did he look himself? If Sora was checking up on him that often she would obviously recognize him, but would anyone else? With that thought, he began looking about the room, trying to locate a mirror. But, there were none. There wasn't even a bathroom door or anything, to find one in there. Though that should have been obvious. Why would they put a coma patient in a room with a bathroom? It wasn't like he'd be using it. Turning back to Sora, he gave a wry smile. "Do you have a mirror?"

The old David wouldn't have freaked out like that really... He'd probably have about the same reaction as this one did. He was just always angry all the time cause every time he turned around something happened to irritate him. That's one thing I want to fix using this, so he can be a bit more fun to play. He was fun to play when he was angry, yeah, but I didn't like how that was his constant mood. Hopefully this time will go better, cause he takes on his state of mind from events around him. Notice during the chuunin exams he was actually pretty happy, exploring the world with Zin. It was just far to easy for him to fall back into being upset.

Sora laughed lightly, an embarrassment apparent in her voice. He had agreed with her, just as she had predicted. The only person who would have thought that perfectly normal was- NO! You are not going to think about HIM at a time like this! Sora corrected herself mentally before she broke into a near mental break-down. "Donʻt be sorry, David. I almost didnʻt recognize you!" she confessed, motioning toward him with her hand. "I mean... you literally grew about two feet! I donʻt mean to point that out so blatantly." Aside from the fact that he was taller, there was something different about David. It had nothing to do with his attitude at all. In fact, it was something else, something physical... it was so tangible that Sora felt as if she could pull it out of thin air, but she couldnʻt put a name to the difference! This frustrated her, but she pushed it out of her mind. She would figure it out later.

At Davidʻs request for a mirror, Sora nodded and held her hand out. "Thereʻs one down the hall. Iʻll show you where it is," she smiled. It was a true smile, not one of the those faked ones that doctors and nurses put on for their patients. One might say that Sora had trained herself to smile on demand so much that her faked smiles looked natural. But of course, Sora never smiled unless she really meant it. And recently, ever since that "incident" in her apartment room a year ago, she had found it difficult to even smile for the patients. It had effected her that much, unfortunately.

Once David had taken her hand, she gently led him out of the room in the direction of the bathroom. This felt odd for her, especially her, since she usually had to reach up in order to hold his hand. Now, she just had to let it dangle leisurely at her side, and her shoulders thanked her a thousand times over for breaking the relationship off. "Here... thereʻs a full-body mirror on the left wall," she finally stated as the duo came to a stop in front of a large metal door. "Iʻll wait for you out here," Sora whispered quietly, letting go of the boyʻs hand as she stepped back and smiled.

After Sora said she almost hadn't recognized him, David kind of went blank for a minute. That didn't make sense... She claimed to have been checking on him constantly, but hadn't recognized him? How did that even work? He'd have thought she'd recognize him more easily than he'd recognize himself, circumstances considered. Before he could come up with an answer to that question though, she had taken his hand and pulled him out of the room. He probably wouldn't have noticed, except he almost tripped over a box someone had left in the doorway. he didn't have time to examine it though, as he was pulled towards the bathroom. Normally he'd have avoided this hand holding thing, but he didn't exactly want to upset the girl who apparently had been nice enough to keep an eye on him all this time, and he suspected pulling away would do just that. Thus, when they reached the door and his hand was freed, he simply thanked her and opened the door, walking into the room.

His first stop was the left wall, and the mirror thereon. Just as he suspected, it took him a few seconds to fully grasp that the person looking back was him. His hair was much longer now, and seemed to be limp rather than sticking up as it used to, and his face seemed different too. Older really. He didn't look like a little kid anymore. Maybe now people would listen when he talked? He had often wondered if the reason people dismissed his opinion so easily was because of his looks. he spent a good minute and a half just staring at his arms and legs, and even his fingers, somewhat fascinated by their new found length. Instead of the practical stubs he had before, these were long, fascinatingly so. He couldn't resist the temptation to flex his arms and see if he had developed muscles as well, but found himself sadly disappointed. All the chemicals and things they had pumped into his body, and not a one to boost muscle growth? A shame.

Glancing to each side to make sure nobody else was around, he - BLANK PARAGRAPH -

Finally done with his personal inspection, and rather pleased with everything overall, he turned and walked over to the sink, planning to finally get rid of the flavor from that disgusting tube. As he stood there however, he couldn't help but let loose a grin. A year ago, he would have had to find a stool to even reach this sink, but now? It only reached his waist! He felt almost giddy from it all! It was every child's dream to get big one day, and to him, it felt as if he had gone to sleep and woken up fully grown! Turning on the sink he ran some water into his hands, swished it in his mouth, and spat, repeating the process until he was sure that brown gunk was all gone, and then took a drink from the faucet to wash out his throat.

Satisfied now, he toweled his hands dry and left the room, still feeling rather happy with himself. And he was right about one thing, he could probably walk right past anyone that used to know him and be completely unnoticed, which, considering some of the people he'd rather avoid, was probably a good thing.

"Well that's not good." David muttered, also watching the nurse walk away as the bathroom door clicked shut behind him. He wasn't sure why the nurse hadn't noticed him there, maybe she had, but didn't recognize him? Either way, he'd heard the statement that Sora didn't have a home. "Well, I suppose I'm the same way actually. Didn't have a real place even before all this. They've probably reclaimed my room in the facility by now too huh?" He asked, looking back down at Sora. It didn't matter to him much really. He didn't need a house all that much, just a place he could rest. Houses were for sleeping and cooking meals, but he never slept, and meals could be bought, so what was the point of wasting money on a house? That almost lead him into a whole new train of thought, specifically, how they managed to keep the Ichibi contained while he slept. Maybe he should go back and grab that string for himself... Nah, he'd make do.

{ Just so Sora can answer the question, it's a yes. I decided to do something else for him to rest in than having a designated room in the facility, so I got rid of the thread. They cleaned up the room he took and put it back to use as main facility space. }

David scratched the back of his neck, letting out a small smile at the offer. "Thanks, but I'll decline, Odd as it sounds about now, I don't really... Sleep much..." He ended with a light chuckle, it really did sound insane didn't it? The kid who'd been sleeping for a year claiming to not sleep. Yet it was still true, odd as it sounded. "I'll probably dig myself a hole or something. Thought about it a few times before actually. Can do whatever you want in a hole. Free rent too." He knew that his words probably made him sound more like a hobo than anything else, but it was also true. With his abilities, he could probably make a hole under Suna the most comfortable place around. Lighting might be an issue, but he could probably arrange something.

David blinked at Sora's words. It was night already? Boy, that was gonna throw his bio-clock way off wasn't it? "Drunk? Hadn't heard about that bit. I heard she was the woman who helped fight the monster though, which is good." Actually, from past experience, he kind of wondered if maybe she was the only one people thought of as having fought it. People didn't tend to give credit for something to someone they didn't trust or like. And he hadn't exactly gone out of his way to promote trust either. Probably all people really thought of when they imagined the beast's defeat was the blinding flash of lightning, and then nothing. He wasn't personally sure which attack had actually killed the monster, but he was sure breaking it's spine had to have done something. Oh well, that was something to think about another time.

"That was probably going to be my next stop anyways." David agreed. "I guess I'll go on ahead if you've got to find a victim then." He said, smiling slightly at the thought. About two seconds later he realized he was in an unfamiliar place, but he wasn't going to let that stop him. 'Let's see, I was in room 42, and over there is 35... So I go this way to find the exit.' He deciphered quickly, and using the room numbers as his guide, made his way to the exit, waving behind him to Sora as he left.

Sorry about leaving without you, but you gotta admit it'll make it easier for both of us since our time zones are so different. You're just getting on when I should already have been in bed a lot of the time.

Tachi

In a sudden blur, Tachi appeared in a sealed off section of the hospital, where less than humane operations took place out of view of the general public. In his arms, he held the motionless body of Uchiha Cody, the traitorous sannin. There was no doubt as to why he was here. Throwing the man down on a steel table, he quickly applied the various straps and clamps necessary to hold him down in case he miraculously awoke. Brutally ripping the various blades out of his chest, the ANBU tossed them aside, smirking behind his mask at the gushes of blood that followed. He cared not for this man's life, and the feeling was quite satisfactory. Unfortunately, the pleasure of removing the man's eyes would not be his own. No, that would fall to an experienced transplant medic, to avoid botching the procedure. Standing back away from the table, Tachi melted into a corner, watching over the body until the procedure was done. If he did manage to wake up, Tachi would simply end his life then and there. It wasn't like they needed him alive.
