Louie smiled when his hair was stroked it instantly calmed him. He looked around and held onto toe Esqyn. "I'm pretty sure I trust you more than that bridge." he said. "You will keep me safe if we fly over it I know it." truthfully deep down he just wanted another excuse to be in the others arms.

Acelin watched in shock as the stairs seemed to turn back in time. He would've thought it was more amazing if it wasn't for the nausea he was feeling but hid it but grabbed onto Mona for support. As the acended the stairs, he noticed rubbing his hand against the wood. He thought for a moment, he didn't have anything on him he could use to pick the lock with. "I could try and blast it open" he said but wasn't sure if they would get in trouble for breaking the door.

Ahkra noticed Jackal's reaction instantly, frowning deeply in worry. He held the boy close, and as the boy thought to himself, it was easily 'loud' enough for him to hear. "It's not your fault, Jackal. I highly doubt it. Do you... want to talk about it at all?" He wanted to held the boy, although he was unsure how. ******** Esqyn blushed a bit, hearing Louie's response, but was relieved. He was terrified of the prospect of the bridge giving way beneath the boy, or a precipitous fall, and would rather ensure his safety personally. "I will, I promise." he kissed Louie's forehead, and picked the boy up carefully, cradling him close bridal style. For a moment, he just stayed like that, enjoying the closeness with a smile, but after a few moments, he let his snow-white wings out, and they spread to full span. With a couple of powerful beats, they were in the air, and he began flying across the chasm. He couldn't even see the bottom of it. After just a few minutes of flying, he landed gently on the other side, holding Louie close. ******** Kael considered the door for a moment, and shook his head. "I can get it, I think," he told Acelin. He set a hand on the wood. It was ancient. To be honest, he would have to be careful not to accidentally destroy a part of the lock or door in the process, though. He didn't want to use time magic, though, after seeing Acelin's reaction. He glanced back momentarily at the boy, a bit concerned. I hope he'll be all right...
Rather than use time magic, he focused on the lock of the door, envisioning it in his mind. It was rusted horribly, but he was going to have to work around that somehow. He began moving the small parts carefully with delicate amounts of spirit magic, although each part protested moving, due to age. An ancient whining sounded from the lock as he worked, but finally a loud 'click' resounded to show that it had finally been unlocked. There was a small magical lock on the door as well, but that only took a couple of moments to unlock. "All right," Kael said, looking over at him. "We can go through, now."

Acelin watched unaffected by the magic Kael used this time. Pushing the door open small streams of light piecered the darkness. As much as the light burned his eyes, it was relief to him. He put his hand over his eyes letting them adjust as he took another step forward only to hear a sloshing noise. Water. Taking a few more cautious steps, it didn't seen that deep. He looked down light flooded in from both ends. "Which way..."

Louie smiled and wrapped his arms around the others neck as he carried him. He allowed himself to remain in the others arms even when it was over. He wished he could be carried like this forever and sighed dreamily before blushing red. If he had been transparent before he wondered how much he was now? Esqyn obviously cared for him but was it in the same way he was started to care for him?

Kael considered both ways, not really sure himself. "I don't know," he admitted, gently squeezing Acelin's hand. "Let's try going left." He sighed miserably as he looked at the ground, which was flooded with a couple inches of water. He winced faintly -- it was a strange pet peeve, but he couldn't stand stepping into cold, shallow water or puddles at all. Nevertheless, he had to get them both out of here, so there was nothing for it.
He led the way to the left, small magical lights glowing began to appear along the walls, and they came to yet another door. When he tried the knob this time, it turned easily, unlocked, and they were back to the main staircase room, with the narrow bridge leading over the chasm. They had come back out through one of the other doors, and even as Kael tried to orient how they had possibly ended back up here after taking the route they had taken, he wasn't sure it was possible, physically. This certainly was a strange place. "Finally," he said softly, hugging Acelin close. "We can continue exploring if you want, but... maybe we should stick to the main and upper levels. To be honest, this place sets my nerves on end...."

Esqyn smiled softly, gently as he saw the blush, and continued to hold Louie close. He enjoyed the closeness, and was reluctant to set the boy down. A bit hesitant, not wanting to make the boy uncomfortable, he leaned a bit closer, until their noses just barely touched, and shyly stole a sweet kiss from the boy's lips, hoping it would be all right. He stroked the boy's hair gently, setting him down on his feet, but still keeping him close.

Kuroki Mitsuko Esqyn smiled softly, gently as he saw the blush, and continued to hold Louie close. Louie felt the kiss his heart was pounding now. It was sweet but oh so short. He stared up at the other with his big blue eyes. "I..um...I..th..thank..you." he managed to get out. He was still uncertain of what was going on he had been mislead before but he knew Esqyn wouldn't do that to him. He did not pull away merely enjoyed the embrace despite the fact that his heart was pounding in his ears now.

Acelin followed Kael through the tunel, the water was grown discomforting for the boy. He didn't know how long the tunel was looking behind him, Mona was still following close behind. He felt slight relief as the water got shallower until they walked through a door comming back to the main level of the under ground. Okay the route baffled him it was as if the two walked in a very confusing circle.
As Kael hugged Acelin he relaxed against the man, Mona comming up next to them wrapping a wing around him gently. At the question of wanting to still explore he shook his. "I had enough exploring for one day, and I wouldn't mind to never come down here in a very long time." he murmered.

(Wow, you guys work it don't you? lols, sorry about being gone. Even though I'm on like I usually am. sweatdrop BTW, Perry-! I like your new sig!)
Amune giggled once again, one hand coming up to stroke the ferret on his shoulder. He moves slowly, putting his feet on the floor and slowly standing up. He wobbled a little but was able to remain upright, "......I think I'm alright....." he smiled warmly at Sam, "Are we really going to explore the school?" It sounds kind of funny to say! But this place is so huge, what secrets did it hold? It was impossible to guess, but just the thought made him shiver with excitement. He reaches out to Sam, "Come on, then! Let's go! Just don't let me fall, please!" he winked, grinning. He just hoped they didn't end up anywhere too scary. He often had issues with dark places, considering. He stroked Elan once more, "I wonder what waits for us in these halls, huh?"

Esqyn was blushing, although happily, as he held Louie close. He was instantly relieved to see that the boy wasn't mad at him, but rather seemed happy, instead. Summoning his courage, Esqyn leaned in for a bit more of a lingering kiss, his lips pressed against Louie's, kissing him softly, sweetly. He stayed just like that for a bit, everything else forgotten, holding the boy close, white wings gently wrapped around him. When he finally did pull back, he gave a small, wry smile, kissing the tip of Louie's nose. "My pleasure." He winked a bit playfully. ******** Kael relaxed contentedly with Acelin in his arms, and took a few minutes for the three to rest, before attempting the stairs. "Me too, I think," Kael said. "Next time let's stick to the floors above ground," he suggested wryly, with a small grin. He led the way up the stairs, and light slowly filled in around them from the windows on the levels above. Finally, they came out on the main levels, back where they had originally come in, sunlight filtering in around them. Kael glanced over at Acelin and Mona. "What now..?" he asked curiously, wondering if he should escort Acelin to his room, or if there was anything else the boy wanted to do. ******** Elan chirped happily, looking forward to the adventure, wondering what they would find. Or where they would go. The underground would probably be too scary for Amune, since it was so dark and creepy.... The ferret snuggled close, hoping that the boy would be okay, especially worried when he wobbled, and Elan nearly lost his perch. He snuggled as close as possible, though, and managed not to fall off, chirping worriedly in Amune's ear.

As they walked up into the main room lots of sunlight poured in, too much for Acelin already acute eyes. The nice part was the light wasn't pure afternoon, more like late afternoon it seemed. At the mention of sticking to the upper levels for exploring he nodded in agreement. Acelin thought about what the three could do, he shruged, "I don't know." he said.

"What the hell are you talking about?" A part of him didn't want to talk about it, while the other half was in distress. "If it wasn't my fault, then why the hell did they die by those crazy dark magic users?" His shoulders shuddered, pulling out of Ahkra's arms with clenched teeth, the cigarette falling to the floor and burned out.
"I studied the same arts for years, and things happened all the time. But then I find this strong book, and before I know it my house was attacked the same night!" Jackal's hands fist up at his sides, and tries to calm himself down as he takes sudden deep breath. His mind was believing it was his fault, yet at the same time knowing it was the guys who broke in that night who were at fault.

Kael paused, thoughtful as he considered what they could do. They should probably be back in time for Acelin to do the homework, but he probably still had ample time, at this point. "Well," he said, "I guess it depends on what you feel like doing. You could meet the other teachers, or we could go swimming or head back to your room..." he shrugged, not really sure what to suggest, and feeling like a bad host because of it. ******** Ahkra frowned in concern, not wanting to say anything else to upset the boy. He pulled Jackal close tightly, wings wrapping around him as he hugged him, wishing he knew the right words to say to make everything better. All he could say was, "I'm sorry." And then, "Jackal... please trust me. It was not your fault. I really am sorry, I shouldn't have said anything, before. Please forgive me." He sighed regretfully, keeping the boy close, the feeling of wanting to protect the boy and help him to find happiness once again overpowering within him.

Louie smiled big after the kiss despite the fact that he was red as a beet. He clung to the other tightly nuzzling against him. He started to cry rather suddenly but it was obvious because he was so happy. "Thank you." was all he could seem to say but this time he meant it for the another reason. "Thank you..for showing me...such kindness and affection you have no idea how many cruel men..If...had to lay with just so I didn't have to sleep alone. Thank you..thank you." he cried out.
