-When you say "Ow!" Whenever your instrument or case hits or bumps something, then apologize to it.

-When you make up songs about the bugs attacking you at band rehearsal

-When a bug can attack you at band rehearsal, and you will care so little you mkae it your new friend and start petting it

-You get sad when the above bug flies away

-You stat crying when your special band-bug gets squished by your petting(Poor Paull. I now sing Paull's song to mourn him.)

-When your favorite thing to do is run a difficult part in the show, because you find it fun

-You are the only one to find aboe part fun, and the rest of your section thinks you are crazy for the rest of your life

-You get excited for regionals/honor band/solo and ensemble...Before you even audition

-You have a list of about 200 songs that you think would be fun to play

-You suggest said songs to your bd for next years show

-You make a new one when he says no

-You can tell the difference between a band actually playing in a movie or tv show against fake playing

-You stop watching said tv show or movie because of it

-You like the smell of music stores

-You go to a music store just to smell it

-You end up buying a load of stuff at said music store

-You refuse to go into a certain music store because it doesn't smell the same as another

-You yell at the cashier at said music store because it smells different

-You keep a metronome and/or tuner with you at all times

-All fo your teachers know you have said metronome and/or tuner.

-Before class even starts, your teachers tell you "no"

-You know why

-You know what I mean by the last 4 bullets

-You fight over a chair in band(We don't have "chairs", just spots, which is pretty much sit with your part, otherwise nobody cares where ou sit)

-You fight over said seat because it is where first chair sits in the other band class

-You have more then one band class

-You think you know what "Accelerated"(GroupXD) and "Systematic"(start slow then go fast), but really, they mean different things(BD's fault. He made us do this thing he called "An accelerated, systematic approach to *insert song ere*, which is a group practice session where we start slow then go fasterXD)

-Without a metronome, you can tell when people are rushing or slowing down, and get mad about it

-You can tell when someone is out of tune without a tuner

-You squeal in terror or wince when you hear a wrong note or someone plays otu of tune

-Everytime you think you have thought of all of these lsits youc an, you find more

-You do the above by reading other people's lists

-You call your instrument by anme and gender.


Yeah, i'm guilty of all fo these. I think i need a life. Note the "need" isn't a "Want". I need a life, but I want to keep my current band geeky one moreXD

-You look up songs your band is playing on youtube(currently listening to regionals songsXD)

-Your life goal is to make regionals/allstate

-You read through your band music during a boring class

-Your teacher gets mad at you because youa re looking through your band music during class

-You don't listen and start humming as well

-Your teacher yells at you(as well as the rest of the class) because youa re humming

-Instead of English work, you write measure numbers in your music because your bd asked you to.

-You ask your band friend next to you if he can help you number your measures because you can't add 15 to 85, or 16 to whatever number that isXD

You know you're a band geek when:

whenever you are sitting in the car at a turn, and get mad when one blinker catches up with the other, but then only stays for one or two blinks.

I always do that... It's annoying.

yah my first set of band parents put me up for adoption and 1 of my DMs adopted me. there are 2 guy flutes in my band... so ummm i do see that every day... xp

When you skip one band event to go to another one.

When you call your BD and say "I'm not coming to Pep band today. My fingers hurt to much from yesterday."

When you BD says thats okay and you show up anyways.

When you walk in step with that person in front of you who has no idea you're even there, and then get frustrated when said person changes their step rate (and correct yourself to stay in step with him or her).

when your at Disney land and you want to talk the people who play the instruments in the middle of the park and when they say they dont have you instrument you actually consider working there later in your life
