Damien Casnes Damien grins now. "Well, if we are finished here, I will just pay the check and we can get out of here," he says, putting his other hand over hers and squeezing it. "Who knows? It could be fun. And, you might get something out of the it, as well," he adds. Quote: 'Well I'm finished,' she left her crumpled and used napkin on the plate and pushed her chair back. 'If you are ready we can go.' Quote: 'Well I'm finished,' she left her crumpled and used napkin on the plate and pushed her chair back. 'If you are ready we can go.' Damien Casnes Damien nods, and stands. He then leads Rhiannon to the podium, so that he may pay the check.
Once the check and tip are paid, he takes Rhiannon's hand as they walk outside. He watches all the people scurrying around, either shopping or heading back to work.
"My favorite store is quite a walk," Damien starts as they begin to make their way through the people on the sidewalk. "It sells books, as well. Something I need more of. I am rapidly running out of reading material. Just a bit of trivia for you," he flashes a grin at Rhiannon.
"But, if a store along the way catches your fancy, just say so. We can always make some stops in between." Quote: 'Thank you for paying,' she smiled, squeezing his hand. 'Thats ok. Its nice to just walk with you.' she laughed out loud. 'Okay did that sound as sappy as I thought it did?' Rhiannon blushed. 'You like reading I remember. What sort of books do you like?' Damien Casnes "It's no problem," Damien replies. He then moves his arm to be around her shoulders, squeezing her gently. "And, I like sappy Rhiannon, thank you very much," he teases.
He sighs whistfully before continuing. "I like all sorts of books, actually. I will read anything put in front of me," he admits. "But, I have been reading more on magic these days. I don't want to let my mum down, slacking in my studies and all," he chuckles. Then, in another teasing tone, he says, "I can see you sitting in your room, late at night, reading those harliquin romances. . . ." Quote: Rhiannon laughed, an arm snaking around his back; 'Well I dont read as much as you. And I certainly dont read romance novels.' She grinned, the light in her eyes meaning that she was going to tease him again. 'You can see me in my room huh? You'd be more likely to see me running around the woods, skin to the wind.' she giggled. Damien Casnes Not missing a beat, he waves off the comment with his free hand, almost hitting a passing man. "I have been stalking you for ages, now, Rhiannon. I have seen you running around naked," he says, as though it is nothing. Still continuing to look straight ahead, Damien adds, "It is one of the reasons I fell for you. You have a very beautiful . . . running stance," he says, giving her a crooked grin. Quote: Well that backfired on you didnt it! Rhiannon thought as her cheeks flushed red. 'Oh I do, do I?' she said, trying not to look at him otherwise he would just continue to tease her. 'Just a nice running stance?' she regained herself and grinned. Damien Casnes "Well," Damien says, not looking at her again, for fear that he might blush and ruin it all. "I noticed quite a few other very nice things about you, but a gentleman does not comment on such things," he replies, brushing back the bit of bangs that never wants to stay out of his face. Quote: Rhiannon tugged on his hand to get him to stop and looked up into his face, smoothing the hair from his face as he had just done; 'A gentleman wouldnt spy in the first place I think,' and she tilted her head up, kissing him firmly on the mouth in the middle of the street. She broke away and smiled at him. 'Lets carry on shall we?' Damien Casnes Damien feels a little odd, being kissed in the middle of a sidewalk full of people, but he doesn't show it.
He merely give her another crooked smile, and says, "You make a valid point," before he starts to walk again.
Then, his face lights up in an entirely different way. "Look, there is the bookstore," he sighs happily. "Ah, it might be crowded, just to warn you again," he adds, looking over at Rhiannon. "But, it will be fun. They have all sorts of stationary things, and books on every subject imaginable." Quote: 'I have you to protect me,' she giggled, squeezing his arm and nudging him with her hip. She secretly thought that it was darn cute how he got excited over a bookstore - maybe a little geeky but truly endearing. 'C'mon then, lets go inside,' Rhiannon tugged on his arm. 'I can tell your dying to go in.' Damien Casnes Though Damien is unsure of his own strength as a protector, he nods. "Aye, I will fight anyone that looks at you in a cross manner," he says, grinning at her, his eyes dancing.
Then, he tugs at Rhiannon, actually pretty anxious to get into the bookstore. He truly looks like a kid getting ready to walk into a candy store. "I am dying to go in!" he admits, enthusiastically. Visions of quills, and leather-bound journals and books start dancing before his eyes.
"Since you'll be seeing the stationary more than I, you can help me pick it out," he suggest, unknowingly trying to spread his excitement.
He pushes open the door and holds it for Rhiannon. He breathes deeply. The smell of books is heaven for him! Quote: 'Well sure,' Rhiannon walks in, chuckling. 'But your the one going to be using it. I mean I dont suppose I can write you back can I? From what I've heard of the place anyways.' She still hadnt told him she had tried for a place there and she wasnt sure why not. Damien Casnes "Rhiannon, you can write me back," Damien says, looking around the store. "It is a magic school. Just because it is flaoting in the air, doesn't mean we can't get mail," he adds, turning to grin at her.
The grin on his face still, he looks back at the books. "Have you heard of the Academy?" he asks again, absently.
Then, doing a complete change of subject, he sort of mumbles to himself, "I think I will look at the quills first. . . ."

Quote: 'Yeah I guess.' Rhiannon shrugged, following him. She just wasnt a big letter writer, but for Damien she would definately change that. 'Ok find the quills then,' she chuckled then fell silent. 'Ahh yes. I have..I kinda applied but didnt get in,' she mumbled. Damien Casnes Damien almost doesn't hear Rhiannon, as he makes his way toward the quills. But, he picks up on the mumble. He turns to look at Rhiannon, slowly. "You let me ramble on about it?" he asks, tilting his head a little. "You must have felt as though I was rubbing it in your face," he says, in a soft voice. "I'm sorry that you weren't accepted. I truly am," he adds, looking away a moment. Yeah, he kinds of feels a little stupid just now. Quote: 'Yeah well its kinda why I got so upset when you first told me.' she walked on, looking at the rack of feathery quills and picking one up, brushing it against her face. 'You didnt know. Its not your fault I didnt tell you.' Rhiannon forced a smile. 'But lets not talk about it anymore. Lets just get some stuff for you. Maybe I should get some stationery as well. I dont have any.' Damien Casnes Damien respects her wishes, and nods. "Stationary would be good," he says, smiling slightly again. He plucks up a few raven-feather quills, and then some species of hawk quill.
His eyes linger on the ink wells. He has enough to last him, he thinks. "Next stop, stationary, then," he says, holding out his arm to Rhiannon. "If you want that quill, by the way, you can let me hold it for you," he adds. Quote: 'I was wondering whether to tickle you with it actually,' Rhiannon pointed the white feather quill at him. 'But I think maybe I will get it,' she handed it to him. 'And what colour ink?' She picked up a few different wells but just went for black in the end. 'Okay then. Stationery.' Damien Casnes Damien smiles when he takes the quill from her, and holds out his hand for the ink as well.
When they are in the stationary section, they are greeted with a long isle of paper, all in different colors, patters, texture, and weight.
Damien lets out a little laugh. "This might take a while," he says, looking around at all of the paper. He already knows what he wants, but he isn't telling. He doesn't want to make Rhiannon feel rushed.
It is a little more crowded over in this section. Apparently, a lot of people ran out of paper at the same time.
Damien leans closer to Rhiannon, and says close to her ear, "It should be fun, trying to navigate through all these people." Quote: 'Ummm,' she looked at the vast selection. 'If I get lost in this paper do you promise to come find me again?' Rhiannon shivered a little as he spoke near her ear. 'I'm sure it will. If anyone touches me you'll be sure to know,' she winked, grinning and showing her teeth. Damien Casnes "I promise," Damien grins at her. "And, no one will bother you. I am a acary guy," he says, making a face that probably was meant to come off as scary, but just looks goofy.
Then, he starts to make them a path through the people, so that they can look at their selections. Damien sees his usual stationary toward the end of the row, but continues to look at the other selections, anyway. Quote: Rhiannon giggled softly, watching him walk off and enjoying the view. She shook herself and started looking at paper. 'Ooh there is some lilac coloured paper.' she smiled to herself. 'And envelopes.' Damien would know who the letter was from before he even opened it if she bought this stationery. The paper was an odd sort, thicker then some of the other and was pleasantly rough to the touch. She looked around for Damien, wondering where he had gotten to. Damien Casnes Damien comes back with a large box of his particular stationary in his hands, the quills and everything else stacked on top. He asked one of the employees if they had a box or more of it in the back, as he needed it for school.
"Sorry," Damien says, smiling again as he rejoins Rhiannon. "I could have sworn you were right behind me," he adds. "Bloody crowd."
He hitches the big box onto his hip, mindful of the items on top of it. "That paper pretty much matches your room," he observes. Quote: 'Its ok,' she reassured him, and nodded. 'Yes exactly. And now you'll know who the letter is from out of your hordes of admirers if I get this stuff,' Rhiannon teased. She looked at the box. 'Get enough stuff?' Damien Casnes "I don't see why I would have admirers," Damien shrugs. "But, indeed. If you got that stationary, I would know who it was from right away," he admits. "Besides, even though I teased you, it suits you. The color."
He shifts the weight of the box on his hip again. "Yes, I have enough stuff," he adds, a sheepish smile on his lips. "I don't know how much I will be using. Better safe than sorry," he explains. Quote: 'You would. You might. You are very good looking.' she smiled shyly at him. 'And thanks. I do really like the colour. Even if its more girly then I am.' Rhiannon looked at the box again. 'True.' she looked at the paper she was holding then at Damien. 'So we are finished here?' she was panicking a little. Where was the day going? Before she would know it the day would be over and he would be gone for months. Damien Casnes Damien waves off the good-looking comment. How could he be, with his scales and all?
"Still, it suits you," her admits. Then, he is nodding. "Give us the paper, and I will take it up to the cashier," he says, holding out his hand.
When he has everything, he makes his way to the cashier's station. After a short wait in line, he plops everything on the counter and waits for the cashier to ring it up.
He pays for it all, and takes the bag, and the box.
"Shall we leave, then?" he says, smiling. "Then, we can figure out what we are going to do now."
He starts to lead them back outside. Part of him wishes that Rhiannon might suggest heading back to her house. Then, they could just hang out in her yard or something, while he is able to set all of this stuff down. . . . Quote: Rhiannon had handed it over without clicking, thinking that he was just securing a spot in the queue and she would pay for her stuff herself. She caught up with him at the door and she lightly socked him on the arm. 'Now why did you go and pay for my stuff?' she asked. She rolled her eyes at him. 'Anyway maybe we should go back to my place? You might fall over if we walk around anymore.' she giggled.

Damien Casnes "Because, I have the money. Besides, I like spending it on other people, not myself," Damien replies.
Then, he looks almost comically relieved. "Are you sure you can't read my mind?" he says in a teasing voice. "That sounds great. Lead the way, nn hiril," he says, inclining his head to her. Quote: She squinted at him, wriggling her fingers in a mock-mystic way; 'Hmmm...' Rhiannon laughed, dropping the hand. 'Nope I cant. But I wouldnt want to lug it around.' she nodded. 'Ok my dear.' she patted him on the behind and walked ahead of him, wending her way towards her home. Her steps were a little reluctant however and she slowed often, walking in silence. Damien Casnes He laughs a little, before he is jumping at the bum-patting.
Damien is shaking his head, a small smile on his face, as he begins to follow her. The smile soon fades, though, as he continues his walking. His steps are equally as reluctant. It is getting closer to the end of the day, he is painfully aware of that. And, he still has packing to do before he leaves tomorrow. That doesn't matter, though. It can be handled easily enough.
He sighs a little as he walks with Rhiannon, shifting the heavy box to his other hip, lost in thought. Quote: Even walking slow didnt stop the fact that they still had to arrive, and they did so. Rhiannon walked up the path and stopped at her front door, turning to speak to Damien. 'Did you want to go inside again or sit in the garden?' Damien Casnes "I'd rather like to sit outside, if you don't mind," he replies, trying a smile, somewhat failing.
He bends forward, to set their purchases down. Is arms are starting to feel rubbery, and he is getting a sinking feeling in his stomach. Quote: 'Worried I'll pounce you huh?' she chuckled a little, and then tugged on his arm when he put the box down. 'Leave it there...lets go sit under the big oak tree again.' Rhiannon kicked off her trainers and left them on the front step, walking across the lawn and wriggling her toes in the grass. Damien Casnes Damien nods, and follows her toward the tree. Once there, he sits down, leaning his back against the tree. He holds out an arm, and says, "Come here," in a soft voice. Quote: Rhiannon nods carefully this time, feeling her eyes prickle. She doesnt often cry but she has a feeling that this will be one of the times. She knelt down beside him, tucking her head into the crook of his neck and letting him hold her. 'Why did the day go by so fast..' she mumbled into him, her fingers curled in his hair. Damien Casnes Damien rests his cheek on her head and strokes her hair. "Isn't that the way it always goes when we see each other?" he asks. "We had some fun though, right?" Quote: 'Yes we did,' she turned her head, feeling comforted by his hand on her hair. Rhiannon kissed the side of his neck, nuzzling him with her nose. 'I just...well I dont want to let you go.' she closed her eyes and those treacherous tears slipped out, sliding down her cheeks and dropping onto him. Damien Casnes Damien closes his eyes a moment. . . .
. . . . Until he feels the tears. His eyes snap open, and he feels a bit . . . panicked. People don't cry in front of him. Being sad is one thing, he can deal with that, it is the crying.
He doesn't say anything, only puts his other arm around her, tightly.
Finally, he manages to say, "Hey, Rhiannon, don't cry. . . ." Quote: 'I'm trying not to..' Rhiannon sniffed, wiping her eyes and looking at him. She put her arms around him, blinking away the tears and brushed her lips near his. 'Just hold me and kiss me please. I know you'll be back, but my heart wants you here with me.' she smiled a little. 'I will miss you..' Damien Casnes Damien nods. "I'll miss you too," he says, stroking her hair again, giving her a soft kiss. "For now, you have me 'til dinner time." he manages a smile at her. Quote: 'Love you,' she whispered, cupping his face with her hands as she captured his lips again with her own. Her hands slid from his face, pressing against his chest and sliding around and down his back as she kissed him. Rhiannon very much wanted to wrap her legs around him and pull him down onto the grass with her...give him something to think on when they were apart but she didnt dare make such a bold move. Instead she let her hands wander over him as much as she thought she could. Damien Casnes Damien blinks once, wondering how she can go from crying to . . . this, at the drop of a dime. Girls are strange all together, he decides.
Then, he isn't thinking anymore, he's just going with the flow, hands roaming probably more than they usually would have. . . .

Quote: Rhiannon pulled away, breaking the kiss reluctantly, her cheeks flushed but not with embarrassment for once. The fingers of one hand had wound up tangled in his hair again, and she gently pulled them out, going to one of his ears and stroking along the edge of it with fingertips. 'I dont want...to get carried away just because your leaving for a while.' she said. Damien Casnes "Then . . . you best not mess with my ear," Damien says softly, managing a weak smile.
He curls a chunk of her hair around his finger. "And, no teasing," he says lightly, poking her nose with his other hand. Quote: 'I guess not.' she agreed. Rhiannon made a snapping motion at his finger, chuckling. 'I will be a very good girl,' she said primly, folding her hands on her lap and tilting her head to one side. 'Like this see?' Damien Casnes Damien shrugs, feigning mild boredom. "Well, you see, that is entirely up to you, my lady," he says, looking down at his fingernails. "I could live either way, to be honest. . . ." Quote: Rhiannon tugged him towards her then, grinning wickedly; 'In that case I changed my mind. You get me as I am.' and she showered him in kisses, determined not to cry again until he was gone. Damien Casnes Damien is a little suprised again, but smiling. He soon puts his hands on her shoulders. "Alright, I'm going to stop you before you stop yourself again," he says. He kisses her lightly. Quote: 'Spoil sport,' she pouted a little. She shivered a little, the sun was slowly going down and she knew that the time had crept up on them again. 'Its getting towards evening,' Rhiannon whispered. Damien Casnes "I know," Damien sighs. "And, if I want to get home in time for dinner, I had better leave pretty soon. I have that box to carry all the way home. . . ." His face falls a little as he thinks about it. Quote: Rhiannon nodded, lost for something to say. She didnt want his last impressions of her as whiny and tearful. She didnt want to be a clingy girlfriend. But she also really, really did not want him to be going away for 4 months. 'I guess you do have to go real soon then.' Damien Casnes Damien nods. "Come on, we'll go back to the house now," he says softly. "We'll get the worst part over with, and then I will be home before you know it." Quote: Rhiannon hiccuped, standing and covering her face. She composed herself and then walked back to her front door with him, standing by his box of stuff. She knelt by it and pulled out the thing she had picked, putting them to one side. Then she stood, her hands clasped and her hair covering her face. Damien Casnes Damien puts a finger under her chin. "Give me a smile before I leave?" he asks, managing one of his own. Quote: 'O.. .kay..' she blinked, forcing a smile for him. 'I'm sorry...this is so silly of me.' Rhiannon folded her arms around him, hugging him tightly.Damien Casnes Damien hugs her back, equally as tight.
After a few long moment, he pulls away. "I better go. I'll send you a letter the first day I am there, I promise," he says as he bends over to pick up the paper and his quills.
He gives her one last kiss, before he waves goodbye. Quote: Rhiannon watched him go, her fingers pressed to her lips as if trying to hold onto his kiss. She sat down heavily on her front step, hugged her knees to herself and tried not to cry. She could visit him - he'd already said and it was only 4 months - so why did she feel so very sad? 'Love him..' And that was just it. The feeling was so new and intense that she couldnt quite get her head around it. Telling him and having him going all in the same day had churned her up in side. She stayed a while on the doorstep before finally picking her stationery bits up and went inside.

A letter to Rhiannon (while at school). Damien Bein Rhiannon,
Im maer, I hope the same can be said of you.
True to my word, I have included in this package an introductory to the elven language for you to look over at your ease. You can look up any of the words I might write out to you in the letters I send you.
Now that formalities are out of the way; I miss you already! I have only been gone a day. Look at how sappy you have made me, nî® hiril!
I have a bit of good news. I at least have one friend here with me. Elle was accepted! I won't be totally alone, even if this is not where I want to be anymore.
Enough sad talk. I will let you know when the school is landing for a break, and where. Maybe we can meet somewhere? Or, I can give you the best time for you to come and visit me at school? I am sure that I read somewhere that we were allowed to have visitors.
Lessons have not started yet, but we are going to be trying for our larith's soon. I do not hold out much hope that I will recieve one. Perhaps when the five summoning scrolls are handed out, classes will begin, and I can actually get some studying done?
Anyway, wish me luck in my classes when we start!
Navaer, and meleth,
Damien.

The second letter to Rhiannon. Damien Rhiannon,
I hope this letter finds you well.
A few things have happened since last I wrote you. First things first: I did not recieve a scroll, so I am not going to be able to summon a larith.
But, on the bright side of things, I will learn how to summon a familiar, which should be fun anyway! And, the rest of the school year should be interesting, anyway.
Elle and I are trying to get into the same clubs. Just so we have a friendly face.
Some of the people here seem nice enough, but I have not really met many of the other students. I tend to stick to Elle if I want to socialize. Probably because I have known her for a while.
Another person I know is here, but I have not seen him. He washed up on the beach on my sister's land in Greece. His name is Adrian. I heard he got a scroll. I will have to congratulate him at some point.
Also, Elle has sent you two copies of a photograph she took of me. I don't like it, I mean, I really hate the picture! But, I think you might get a nice laugh out of it.
I have something else to tell you, though. But, I think that best be left for in person.
I'm still missing you, and I hope to hear from you soon!
Meleth, Damien.

Rhiannon's first reply. Rhiannon Damien,
First of all please excuse any blotches that might appear on this letter. The sight of the stationery reminded me of that wonderful day we spent together before you left and I confess I started to cry a little. I was happy to see your letters however, and I am sorry to hear that you werent successful in obtaining a scroll, but I am happy that you will have other things that you'll enjoy doing whilst you are there. I miss you very much. I wake up thinking that I can just go around your house and see you - then I remember where you are and it hurts. Forgive me. I did not mean to sound so down in this letter. I just hope the time when I can visit you comes round soon. I am curious as to what it is you have to tell me that you could not say in your letter, and I am also a little worried. Is it something so very bad? And as yet I havent received the picture that your Elle friend took. I do hope it comes soon. I dont care how you look in it, I would just like to see your face! There is some news that I might have for you in my next letter, but that all depends on how tomorrow goes. For now I'll sign off and send this to you. I am forever yours, Meleth Rhiannon.

Rhiannon's second reply. Rhiannon Damien,
I hope my second letter finds you well. And missing me! Heh well as much as I miss you which is alot. Well I will try not to go down that road again in this letter because I will just get upset, and I'm guessing it makes you just as sad when I go on about it. Let me just say that I wish I was there with you, or you were here with me and leave it at that! I hope your lessons are going well (if you have had some in the time between getting my letter and answering). And that you are having fun...well not too much fun, if you know what I mean. I'm can tell you now what the news was that I mentioned in my first letter. I have a job! Its just a weekend one. I told my mother about how you had gone, and that time felt like it was dragging without you, and she suggested that a part-time job might be a way of keeping myself occupied. That and I can actually have money that I've earned. So I went job hunting and saw this one cafe that was advertising, I interviewed and got a place there. Well here comes the slightly embarrassing part. The Cafe is a themed one - a roller themed cafe! I have to wear this cutesy uniform and deliver the food on roller-skates! Which will be okay when I am more practised on the skates. Right now I am spending more time on my butt then standing up but I'm slowly getting better. The Cafe manager is giving me the easier jobs until I'm proficient on the skates. I bet you are wondering exactly what the uniform looks like huh? Luckily for you my mother is snap-happy, and took a picture of one of the times I was practising - I put the uniform on to try it, and the skates out and she caught me after I'd fallen down;
Told you it was cutesy - and short! I hope no one tries to grab my butt. Well apart from you of course...anyway what do you think of it? I have to wear my hair up as well because I'm handling food. Do you think it makes me look older? When my mother saw me like this for the first time she got all teary and said I looked like a proper woman or something. I couldnt quite hear her as she was sniffly. Well I've really rambled on this time! I should stop, and send it to you. All my love, Rhiannon.

(( next two posts ripped from Rhiannon's journal. ))
Damien: It has been a while since Damien last walked this route. The sun is blazing in the sky, making the day almost unbearably hot. So, Damien has left his cape at home. He does, however, have his wide-brimmed hat on, to protect his skin.
He finally was able to pull himself from the suffocating arms of his mum this morning. He missed her, too, but he has some other people he needs to visit. The school could be done with their maintenance issues sooner than he thinks, after all!
He tugs on the long braid in front of his ear as he nears the front door. Once he is there, he knocks, then clasps his hands behind his back. He looks down at his shoes and frowns. A smudge catches his eye and he bends forward with the thought of buffing it off with his thumb.
Rhiannon: Rhiannon hummed as she walked to answer the door. She wondered who it was, not even thinking that it would be Damien as she presumed he was still at school; although she hadnt heard from him at all in weeks. She opened the door and her mouth dropped wide open and she just stared at him.
Damien: Damien looks up when he hears the door open. He mentally grumbles about the brim of his hat before sweeping it off of his head, and straightening into a standing position. "Hello, Rhiannon," he says, smiling slightly.
Rhiannon: 'Oh my god oh my god oh my god!' she exclaimed. 'You're back!' Rhiannon flung herself forward and wrapped her arms tightly around him. It was so good to hold him again!
Damien: Damien's first reaction is to blink a couple of times, rapidly, and then his arms snake around Rhiannon. "For a bit," he says, hugging her close. "It's good to see you," he adds, grinning. "You look wonderful," he continues.
Then, his tone is a little teasing when he asks, "Did you miss me?"
Rhiannon: Rhiannon purposely blocked out the 'for a bit' - she wasnt going to dwell on him returning to that school. 'I missed you so much my love,' she brushed her lips against his cheek, taking in how he felt and his scent. The little feral part of her snapped awake as she held him but she pushed it away. She couldnt rip his clothes off...yet anyway.
Damien: Damien shakes his head. "That will not do," he says, leaning forward to brush his lips against Rhiannon's. When he pulls back, he is still grinning. "I missed you too, mela," he says. "But, tell me, how have you been? Is your job going well?" he asks.
Apparently, he is not aware of any other thoughts that Rhiannon might have in her head.
Rhiannon: 'Its going ok.' she said, pulling him inside the house and shutting the door once he was in. Rhiannon trailed a hand along his face, and stroked one of his ears softly. 'I've been good. But I kept thinking of you.' she tugged him to her, and kissed him fully, her lips warm against his.
Damien: Damien has the presence of mind to toss his hat next to the door, but nothing more after that. He allows himself to get lost in the kiss a few good moments, before he pulls back. He smiles a little again, and his eyes lock on Rhiannon's. "I am glad to hear that," he says softly, not clarifying to which comment he is referring to. "I thought of you often as well," he admits. "I kept that picture you sent me," he chuckles. "You look so pretty in all that pink and yellow," he teases a little.
Rhiannon: 'Bah! That uniform is too bright and too short..' Rhiannon flicked him a little. 'But was that what you liked? The too short?' she grinned, for she was wearing her bottom skimming denim shorts. She didnt mind showing her legs off at home but at work was a little much.
Damien: Damien should have known that Rhiannon would be able to turn the tables on him. It seems he is a bit rusty when it comes to her mind, and he feels the tips of his ears growing hot. Was this the time for something a litlte bold? Maybe. . . .
"And, what if I did?" he asks, his voice soft. He raises his eyesbrows a little, keeping his smile in check.
Rhiannon: 'Then I'd have to do this,' and Rhiannon slid her arms around him again, letting them fall down his back and resting on his bottom. She winked cheekily and pinched gently. 'I really really missed you,' she said throatily.
Damien: Damien's eyes widen a little and he looks down at Rhiannon is mild suprise. "I can see that," he chuckles a little. He really has no idea what to do next, his brain doesn't seem to want to function right now. So, he lets the silence drag on.
Rhiannon: 'So umm,' Rhiannon is flustered a moment, wondering what on earth is going on with her right now. 'How have you been? And how come you are home early?' They were in the living room now and she sat on the sofa, motioning him to sit next to her. 'Not that I am sorry to see you home now, believe me.' she grinned.
Damien: Damien sits down and starts to roll up his sleeves. It seems the heat outside might have carried with him in here. "I have been good. A bit bored, mind you. Classes were postponed, so I had little to do at the school," he starts, looking over at Rhiannon once he is done with his sleeves. "I am home because there were some things around the school that needed to be taken care of," he shrugs a little before smiling slightly again.
He moves to put his arm around Rhiannon's shoulders, and then freezes a little. "Silver isn't around, is he?" he asks. He looks around, half expecting the wolf to come out and warn him, again, with some sort of weapon this time, not to hurt Rhiannon.
Rhiannon: 'Oh thats a shame,' secretly praising whatever misfortune had led to the postponement of the classes. 'No he isnt,' Rhiannon grinned. 'No one is. We are completely alone.'
Damien: "Ah," Damien relaxes a little. They were alone. No wolf-boy jumping out from a dark corner threatening him, or anything of that nature.
Then again, alone could be just as frightening. If not moreso! "So . . . what did you want to do?" he asks.
Rhiannon: Rhiannon looked at him and smiled softly; 'You..' she said, keeping her face perfectly un-readable. She would not laugh and give herself away.
Damien: Damien blinks a little at the statement, and blushes furiously now.
Then, his mind starts working out a way to maybe turn the tables. Although, by now, he knows that not much really shocks Rhiannon, as it does him. Oh well, he can always try. . . .
"That can be arranged," he says, smoothing down his long hair a moment.
Rhiannon: She moved on the sofa, running a bare foot up his leg and stretched her leg across his lap, sliding almost onto his lap; 'Damien...' she said softly. 'I'm kind of partly serious. I thought about that - and you alot when you were away.'
Damien: Damien is blushing again, though not quite as bad as before. "Ah . . . Did you?" he hears himself asking. It would be a lie to say that the thought had never crossed his mind. But, he isn't sure he could bring himself to say anything like that right now. He doesn't believe he has the ability. Like so many times before, Rhiannon has left him a little speechless.
It is a few minutes before he gains his voice again. He looks away from Rhiannon. "What if I were to say that I was partly serious too?" he asks.
Rhiannon: Rhiannon blinked a few times..well that had been - unexpected? She knew he liked her like that because certain things happened when they got close. 'Well I didnt bring it up just to try and make you blush you know. I think...I want to do that, and I'd like to share the experience with you.' she squeezed his arm gently.
Damien: "I know," Damien says, turning in his seat to face her. "And I feel the same way, honestly," he continues. "I just . . . well . . . I think it will happen when you least expect it. Probably when neither of us are thinking about it," he smiles a little.
Rhiannon: Rhiannon chuckled softly; 'You might be right,' she pulled him to her again, brushing his hair from his face. She kissed his cheeks, gently touching his face scales with her lips. She smiled at him and then suddenly remembered something. 'Oh - what was that thing you brought up in your last letter but didnt go into details about?'
Damien: Damien pushes aside his discomfort at Rhiannon being so close to his scales. He simply keeps the smile on his face a bit longer.
Then, it falters a little. "Refresh my memory?" he says, his brain working overtime. How long had it been since he sent the last letter? And, what nonsense and the school could he have wanted to save for later?
Rhiannon: 'Hang on and I'll get the letter,' she slid off him and padded out of the room. Moments later she was back, and gave him the much read piece of paper. 'Here..' she pointed at the line after he wrote about the photo that Elle took of him. 'You said there was something you wanted to tell me in person.'
Damien: "Ah," Damien nods, looking over the letter. He doesn't comment on the state of the paper, but looks over at Rhiannon. "I really would rather this not go any farther than this room. And, since I have not been feeling any effects, I don't think that it is that big of a deal," he says, smiling slightly. "It is just a little . . . shocking."
At this, he pauses a moment, wondering if he really should tell anyone. Finally, he doesn't see the harm in it. Rhiannon wouldn't tell anyone, right? Well, he trusts her, anyway. "Elle had been starving herself, if I remember correctly. I can't remember the exact circumstances of the evening, but when I put my hand on her arm, she bit me out of reflex," he shrugs a little, to show that it really wasn't that big of a deal.
Rhiannon: 'Why would Elle bite you?' Rhiannon was confused. She wasnt about to tell anyone but she wasnt sure why not - what was Elle anyway?
Damien: Damien blinks a little. "Oh, dear," he says. "Well . . . she is half vampire," he explains. "And, if you didn't know about it, I am sure that she would rather not very many people know. I only know because Mum Lenore and her mum are close," he says, hastily.
Rhiannon: 'I wouldnt.' Rhiannon said. 'Damien I know what its like for people to hate or fear you because of what you are. I'd never bring that on to anyone.' she fell quiet, unconsciously running a finger over the now silvery scar on her thigh.
Damien: Damien smiles a little. "I know," he says, reaching over to stroke her hair. "Let's try not to think about that," he says, all along his voice soft. "Alright?"
Rhiannon: 'Well I would rather think of something else,' she put her arms around him again and nestled her head into his neck, kissing the side of it. She moved up to his face and smiled at him. 'You might not be able to return to school you know. I might not let you go,' Rhiannon giggled.
Damien: "Oh really," He says, grinning again, his arms going around her. "I might have a thing or two to say about that," he continues, humor in his eyes.
Rhiannon: 'Oh you want to leave me huh?' Rhiannon's face fell, and she pushed her bottom lip out, pouting.
Damien: "No, darling," Damien says, stroking her hair again. "But, my mum paid for me to go to school. I cannot just let her money go to waste," he kisses her forehead softly. "I would much rather stay here," he says, firmly.
Rhiannon: 'Yeah I know. I know you have to go again but I really dont like seeing you go.' Rhiannon tangled her fingers in his hair, letting the strands fall as she moved her hand. 'Smuggle me in your stuff when you go back?' she half-joked.
Damien: Damien chuckles. "Alright, then. You might want to put your two weeks notice in at work," he winks at her. "But, you know, if you want to see me, you can. I told you visitors were welcome in the school."
Rhiannon: 'I know but I didnt want to just turn up..' Rhiannon said. 'I didnt know your class schedule or anything after all.' she started playing with one of his ears, gently stroking it from tip to lobe.
Damien: Damien's eyes close a little, and his body tenses just a tad. "When I know my schedule, I will send it to you. Will that be better?" he asks, still smiling a little.
Rhiannon: 'Yes that will do,' Rhiannon kissed him on the cheek and snuggled against him. 'Mmm.' she laid a hand on his chest and left it there, liking the way it rose and fell with his breathing. 'This is nice,' she purred softly.
Damien: "Yes," he agrees, leaning his head back a little. He closes his eyes a moment, relaxing fully again as he stretches his legs out in front of him, crossing them at the ankle. "Let's not get up again."
Rhiannon: She giggled; 'I like the sound of that,' she laid a leg on top of his, wrapping around him properly. Her toes rubbed his ankles. 'So...' she said, after a few minutes passed. 'What are you thinking of right now?'
Damien: He is never really sure how to answer that. At any one moment, several things are going through his mind. It seems his brain never sleeps, really. He picks out a thought and speaks it. "Just how . . . at ease I feel. Just sitting here. It isn't awkward, the silence," he explains, hugging her closer. "What are you thinking?" he mimics, smiling a little.
Rhiannon: She blushed a little; 'Imagining you naked actually,' Rhiannon teased, giggling and rubbing his ankle with her foot again. The hand on his chest moved downwards and rested on his belly.
Damien: Damien actually laughs a little. "Really? That is interesting," he says. "I imagine me naked all the time," he jokes, opening his eyes just enough to look down at Rhiannon. "I hope it is a more enjoyable image for you than it is me," he teases.
Rhiannon: 'Well you've seen yourself so why would it be interesting...' Rhiannon said. 'Umm not that your body is boring! But you know what I mean.' she leaned up and planted a kiss on the end of his nose.
Damien: Damien chuckles, wrinkling his nose and shaking his head. "Oh, I see how this is going," he jokes. "You would rather not see me naked. That is fine," his tone is mock-offense. "I will just remain fully clothed around you at all times."
Rhiannon: Rhiannon sat up, poking her tongue out at him; 'You know very well I didnt mean that!' she straddled his hips with her legs and sat on him. Her hands went to his shirt buttons and she started undoing them. 'We'll see about the fully clothed thing,' Rhiannon winked at him.
Damien: Damien looks up at Rhiannon a moment, unsure what to do. Finally, he only laughs. "Do with me what you will, my lady," he says through his laughter. "Just know I will not enjoy any moment of this disrobing."
Rhiannon: Rhiannon smiled, undoing the last button and pushing the shirt to one side. She ran her palm across his bare chest, and then down onto his belly. Leaning, she followed the path of her hand with her lips, planting kisses on his warm skin. Rhiannon sat up again and looked at him, colour high on her face. 'So that wasnt enjoyable?'
Damien: Damien's one thought is that nothing embarassing is happening in his body . . . yet. Other than the blushing that he can feel spreading even as far as his neck. "Erm . . . so maybe I am enjoying it a little?" he says in a soft voice, glancing down at Rhiannon. He can't bring himself to move, or do anything to make her stop, even if he REALLY wanted to. He is not sure if that is a good, or bad, thing.
Rhiannon: He hadnt told her stop, and so she leaned and kissed his chest again. In her mind she wasnt sure if she wanted this to lead to anything, but she liked being this intimate with him - even if that was all they did. Rhiannon stopped again. 'This isnt making you uncomfortable is it?' she was acutely aware that she was sitting on his lap whilst she kissed him, and was whilst not worried about what might pop up, was worried that he would worry.
Damien: "Not entirely," Damien says, honestly. He is painfully aware of his inexperience, now. Is he just supposed to lie back and let Rhiannon do what she will, or is he supposed to be . . .
He mentally shakes his head. He adds, "It is just a bit . . . new." He smiles a little, to show that he is not closed to new experiences.
Rhiannon: She nodded; 'Oh and you think I'm the big expert huh?' she tilted her head and looked quizically at him. Rhiannon traced a finger across his chest.
Damien: "I wasn't saying that," Damien says, feeling his might have just put his big foot into his big mouth. "But, you do know a bit more than I do about this sort of thing," he adds.
Did he just stick his foot further into his mouth?
Rhiannon: 'I do have some experience..' she admitted. 'I kind of - had this thing with someone before we got together, and one time we got physically close.' Rhiannon blushed at the memory. 'But I'm still...umm - the cherry hasnt been popped.' she giggled.
Damien: Damien tilts his head, looking at her confused. "Why would anyone pop a cherry? Aren't you supposed to eat them, not squish them?" Yes, Nyoka had given him a few details that Lenore just didn't feel up to talk about, but she never once used this term.
Rhiannon: She laughed, nearly falling off his lap. 'Damien!' she managed when she had stopped laughing. She wiped her eyes. 'You are so cute,' Rhiannon kissed him softly. 'Cherry is another way of saying virginity,' she said.
Damien: "Oh," Damien is a little embarassed, but he is used to this by now. "Well . . . I suppose that is comforting for me?" he says, smiling nervously.
Rhiannon: 'I guess you could say that..' Rhiannon chuckled. 'I wanted to..' she squirmed on his lap. 'Lose it with someone I really loved.' she lay her head on his bare chest, listening to his heart.
Damien: The heartbeat is pretty fast now, after the squirm. He nods, however, ignoring his rapidly beating heart. "I understand that. I feel the same way," he says in a hoarse voice.
Rhiannon: Rhiannon moved a little, kissing his chest and then smiling softly; 'You're heart is racing...are you ok?'
Damient: "Fine," a lie. "I am great," he says, reaching up to stroke her hair, and smiling a little again.
Rhiannon: Her eyes slid shut, and the beat did seem to be calming again. Her hand stroked his chest and she let out a tiny contented noise. 'So..' she said quietly. 'Do I take my top off as well?' she grinned to herself.
Damien: Damien blinks, and looks down at Rhiannon. He swallows, and then glancing up at the ceiling, as though asking the Goddess what in the hells he is supposed to say to that.
"Erm," he settles on. "I guess that would depend on whether you want to or not?"
Rhiannon: 'I want to be comfortable...besides, this is a small step so that you dont blush into a melting puddle if anything else happens,' Rhiannon said quietly. She sat up and slipped her t-shirt off over her head. She was wearing a white cotton bra underneath so it was really only the same as when he'd seen her in her bikini. 'See? Its ok,' she giggled.

Damien: Damien looks away, despite himself. He takes a deep breath, and feels a slight flush on his cheeks. "Yes, it's okay," he says, still keeping his eyes off of her. "Besides, who says I would blush into a puddle?" he asks, risking a glance at Rhi's face. "Don't you get . . . caught up in the moment, don't think of anything?" he shrugs a little, wondering where that came from. . . .
Rhiannon: Rhiannon blinked a little at his words, then a broad smile slid over her face; 'Always when I'm with you,' she brushed her cheek against his, tilting her face to plant a soft kiss on his face. 'But I can never let myself go...because I dont think I could stop that part of me at the right time.'
Damien: Damien tilts his head as well, and looks into her eyes. "What if that were fine?" he asks.
Rhiannon: Rhiannon's eyes rounded; 'Umm ... you wanna repeat that? I think I just went temporarily deaf or something then..' she twined her fingers in his hair, not quite believing that he had actually uttered those words.
Damien: Damien chuckles. It isn't oten that he catches her by surprise. "I said, what if that were fine?"
Rhiannon: 'You really.. you mean that?' Rhiannon whispered, her fingers running along his chest. It was funny how alive she felt, seated on him, this close and with the knowledge that it might be something that he was okay with as well.
Damien: "Would I say it if I didn't mean it?" He asks, a broad smile on his lips now. he reaches up to run a chunk of her hair bretween his fingers. he then places his hands on either side of her face and nods. "I mean that," he says, not taking his eyes off her, the smile still on his lips.
Rhiannon: She was all nerves suddenly, tremors in her fingers. 'So did you want to...move somewhere else?' Rhiannon ventured, not able to move her sight from him as looked at her.
Damien: "Well, I would think we should go somewhere where we wouldn't be easily walked in on," Damien chuckles a little as he says this in a low voice, trying to keep his wits about him. "As this is your home, I believe you would know the best place."
Rhiannon: Rhiannon got off him reluctantly, which was a little silly given what might be about to happen between them. 'My room..' she said quietly. 'My parents wont be back..for a while I am sure.'
Damien: "Lead the way," Damien says, reacing out to take her hand, his stomach in knots. He manages another smile for her, as he tucks a strand of his hair behind his ear.
Rhiannon: She did so, squeezing his fingers with her slightly damp hand, and taking him up to her room. Which was tidy for once. Rhiannon shut the door behind them and sat on the bed, nervously pulling on the covers. 'Sooo...' she said, looking at him sidelong. Then she stood again. 'Umm. I need to go get - something.' and she left him again, heading for the bathroom.
Damien: Damien nods, and stands by the door, wondering how the hell he got to this point. He has no idea what he is supposed to do! Since he has nothing to do with his hands, he places them behind his back. He feels the butterflies start to flap their wings faster in his stomach, and closes his eyes. He tries not to focus on what might happen here, thinks about his studies, home, the koi pond.
He slowly feels himself relax, and he opens his eyes after a few moments. The muscles in his back and jaw relax, and the grip he has on his hands slowly starts to slack. He waits quietly, bt the door, for Rhiannon's return.
Rhiannon: Rhiannon had rifled through the cabinet in the bathroom, finally finding what she was looking for. Thankfully her mother and father still...did it, which made her shudder, but if they didnt there wouldnt be any of these....things. She pattered back to the bedroom, almost walking into Damien. 'You could have sat you know.' she giggled nervously.
Damien: Damien manages a nervous smile. He walks slowly to the bed, and sits. He can't find his voice at the moment, so he merely keeps the small smile on his lips, glancing over at Rhiannon. Finally, he manages to swallow the nerves, and say, "Well. . . ." that was all he could think of? Better no words, though, than to become a blabbering mess. . . .
Rhiannon: Rhiannon shut the door firmly again, placing the condom packet on her bedside table. She sat next to him, and pulled him to her, kissing him softly; 'We dont have to do this ok?' she said, her voice throaty. 'I love you..and that wont change whether or not we make love now, or a year later.' she smiled at him, tugging softly on his hair.

An Un-expected Delivery. . . . Damien walks into the kitchen, humming a little tune. He is put together perfectly, as always, Lenore notes, but there is something . . . different about him. She can't quite put her finger on it.
Maybe it is that bounce in his step? The slight swagger? Her eyes narrow behind their sunglasses to study him further.
But, she shakes her head when Damien looks her way, and beams brilliantly over at her.
"Beautiful morning, isn't it?" Damien asks, in elven.
"Sure," Lenore replies, narrowing her eyes again. "You have mail," she says, pointing a taloned finger at the package on the small table by the kitchen's entrance.
"Thanks," Damien says, setting down the glass he had taken from Emme before he walks over to get his mail. He lifts his eyebrows a little, but shrugs.
He first opens the note and reads it.David Wolfenbrother In a package addressed to Damien Slytherin-Natenhar: The note attached to the package reads as follows: The Note Hello Damien, I Understand you and my daughter had quite the time the other day. I'm happy that you two are happy together, and that you all where intelligent enough to use protection. So, as a little gift to keep you in that same zone of intelligence, I sent this. Knowing a werewolves appetites, you'll need them all. Signed, David Wolfenbrother Inside the package where 4 economy sized boxes of condoms, in all varietys. As he reads the note, his ears gradually build up to a lovely shade of red. He hastily stuffs the note into his pocket, and drops the package as though it is on fire. He has a good idea of what might be in it.
He glances over at his mum, and notes that she is staring at him with interest. He smiles nervously, and opens his mouth to say something. . . .
. . . .But Lenore beats him to the punch. "Aren't you going to open it?" she asks.
"Maybe later," Damien says, his eyes moving toward the exits.
"What, is it something that I am not supposed to see?" Lenore asks, rising from her seat at the table. She takes a step toward him. "Go on. It's only a package, isn't it?"
"Yes, it is," Damien sighs, looking sadly at the exit that seems so far away. Resigned, he opens the package.
And Lenore screeches. She rounds on Damien, and he winces, covering his sensitive ears, and preparing himself for a toungue lashing.
"WHAT WERE THOSE SENT TO YOU FOR?!" Lenore asks.
Damien closes his eyes, all of his face and neck red. "I would think it would be obvious. . . ."
"Don't you get smart with me, young man!" Lenore says, brandishing a taloned finger in his face. "You are grounded! Up the stairs you get!"
As Damien makes his hasty retreat, he hears Lenore growling something that sounded like he was far too young to be running 'round and doing things that required condoms.
Furious, he slams his door, and hurries to the phone. There is only one person that can talk his mum down. . . . And he is about to call her.

Well, I am not grounded anymore.
Thank the goddess!
Nyoka really came through for me! Of course, she then swept me off to my room and asked me just "What in the hell I was getting condoms for."
This is not a conversation that I wished to have with Nyoka. But, she is one of my closest friends, and I tell her almost everything. . . .
I guess I wanted this to be private. Just between Rhiannon and I.
Well, her father saw to it that my whole family knows. What he did was very . . . rude, for lack of a better word.
I don't know yet if I want to tell Rhiannon any of this. I am leaning toward a big "NO!" on that! It is bad enough that I won't be able to look into her father's eyes, and that I can't even look into my own mum's now. I don't want her to have that feeling.
I had better go. Mum is calling us to dinner. This should be a very interesting one. . . .

HalloweenDamien tosses his candy, untouched, on the floor by the bed.
"Why does she have to be so bloody stupid!" Damien practically growls, and tosses his hat across the room.
Alright, he tells himself. You really need to calm down. Take some deep breaths, sit on your bed, look out at the night sky. That always calms you. . . .
So, Damien does. He stares out at the stars, and thinks.
Finally, when he thinks he is calmed enough, he pulls open the drawer of the nightstand by his bed, and takes out his journal, and a quill.
Tinania is being a git.
Is there anything else I would like to call her? Probably, but I don't think it would be good for me to put the words down in writing.
Besides, I try to refrain from vulgarity. . . .
She is speaking with her grandfather. Indeed, visiting him! That is akin to me going and having tea with my grandfather!
After all that our mums have done to keep us away from that family! She goes and does this!
I am not the only one angry about this. Nyoka, I saw, was very upset. As was Aylana, I think.
I only hope that she wakes up before he has his wand to her throat. Or before she sees a bright green flash. . . .

December 24, 2005
Looking back on this journal now, I can see that it has been quite some time since I have written. . . .
But, I have been a busy, busy person lately! Mum Lenore was helping me with my Christmas gift to Rhiannon.
She is the hardest person to shop for! I have been done with my shopping for Mum Lenore, Nyoka, Ernia, Lucius, and the rest of the family for some time now, but I couldn't find anything for Rhiannon.
So, I made her something. I hope she likes it, I am a bit nervous about it. . . . Mum Lenore helped me make the bracelett, and with the enchantments on it. But, one always second guesses oneself when giving a gift that they have made.
Anyway, I still have not spoken to Tinania since Halloween. I admit, I am still very angry with her. I don't know how I can get past it. . . . But, now, I am a bit worried, because Nyoka informed me that 'Nani managed to give the Amazon she placed on her the slip a few days ago, and she doesn't know where she has run off to.
Of course, I think the worst. Where else would she slip off to? Where else would she have to slip off to for?
Just thinking about it makes that anger bubble.
But, it is the holidays. And, I will have to play nice with her tomorrow. Aunt Krista and Mrs. Rakamash are throwing a Christmas party in our backyard, and they have been working weeks on it. I am not going to ruin their planning and hard work with another row with Tinania.
I think I will just stay with Lucius, or Mum Lenore and Miss. Melantha. Maybe Uncle Rinon and Aunt Krista?
I still don't know how our whole family is going to fit wherever they are putting us! It should be an interesting night, though. . . .

The Full Moon!December 30, 2005
I was finally able to give Rhiannon her Christmas gift. I know it is late, but I have had family things, and I think she has been busy.
She liked it, which made me relieved. And, happy, of course. But, there was more relief there. I had been worried that she wasn't going to like it at all.
However, that is not why this entry is being made, is it?
Well, imagine our shock when I gave the bracelet to Rhiannon, and the full moon stone was glowing? It was close to nightfall, and Rhiannon tried to run away.
I talked her into staying. It was a bit harder for me to get words out this time, because . . . well, I really can't explain why. I can tell her I love her, but I can't tell her that I could see myself with her for a very long time. It is a mental block, I think. And, I don't know what is the cause.
When I finally got out what I needed to, she stayed. I was, I admit, a little hurt when she thought the worst of how I might act upon seeing her. But, I have to realize that everyone gets scared about this sort of thing.
When she transformed, I have to admit, I was a little startled. But, I could really only think that she might be in pain.
We spent the night outside. Well, she sort of fell asleep on me. I didn't want to wake her, so I slept out there as well.
Uleme, the centaur leader in the forest, found us under the tree. I just thank the goddess that I thought to slip my cloak over Rhiannon during the night, because she wasn't really wearing anything. . . . Uleme is a gentleman, though. Once he noticed the state Rhiannon was in, he turned his back and let her dress. Then, he walked us to the gate.
All in all, I think Rhiannon and I took a step further in our relationship last night. I would hope that Rhiannon feels the same way, at least. . . .
