As Michael set to work, he was in pretty high spirits. That girl always did that to him for some reason. This meant he was working with more enthusiasm than usual, and hardly even noticing the strain.
He usually started out with heavy lifting, before he could get to work on whatever cars or bikes were in the shop.
First off though, was a bad a** harley, old school. That thing was classic and in pretty good condition, but could use a bit of a tune up. The man who owned it was paying extra for a really good, but quick job, and who better to do it than Mike?
Actually, it didn't take long to get it taken care of, an hour or so, and then he kind of wished there was more to do on it, but there were some cars to get to next.
By now, he was all greasy, but he was used to it. He didn't even consider how he would look if he went to meet up with Rose if he didn't go out of his way to change first...

Julia checked her phone again, quickly, before jumping into the shower with a huge smile tugging at her lips. She took her sweet time in there, letting the warm water fall over her body.
When she got out, towel wrapped around her, she texted Reese again.
Tease? No, being a tease would be saying, wanna pic? I just got out razz She laughed lightly, then grabbed her clothes and stepped outside, steam following her.
"Whats going on with you?"
"What the hell Tristan! You waited for me to get out to question me further? I'm just ******** going out with friends tonight. Get off my case."
"You always tell me everything, there's something you're not telling me now."
"Just go away. I'm not keeping secrets. Chill." She slammed her door, annoyingly.
Gah. I love Tristan, I do. but he's getting on my last nerve.
Pretty baby, don't you leave me. I have been saving smiles for you..

He just gets on my nerves.
Reese had to restrain from writing anymore than that. All in all, Julia was related to him, and of course, cared about him. Badmouthing her family wouldn't do him any favors. So instead, he changed the subject,
I'm lookin forward to seeing you.
and then pressed send.
After the husky decided she was satisfied with the amount of running around Reese had done for her, she slowed her pace and jumped up, resting the front of her paws just reaching the middle of his legs.
Reese smirked and ruffled her fur.
"Thank you." he said, feeding her a dog treat before she jumped down.
Leash attached, the two of them walked out the other side of the park and back down the street towards the Montague house.
The husky waited outside as Reese went into the house to grab his car keys and an energy drink.
Out as soon as he was in, Reese slipped into the front seat of his jaguar v12 with Baby eagerly waiting for the car to start, in the passenger seat.
"Why you always so excited to see Mike huh?" Reese asked with a grin, as he backed out of the driveway.
"Traitor." Reese laughed and shook his head as Baby let out a confident bark.
Reese figured a visit was in order. He hadn't seen his best friend in nearly a week, if not just over.
Which was weird, considering the two of them were near inseparable through high school, teachers often mistaking them for brothers.
The drive was an easy 10 minutes, with a short stop at a coffee shop.
Reese drove into the garage and came to a steady stop.
Baby stepped up to the open window and barked an enthusiastic 'hello' the pair of greasy jeans sticking out from underneath a car.
"What up greasemonkey." Reese called out, killing the engine, and stepping out of the car.
He crouched down to see what Mike was working on and offered him the coffee.
"What's the diagnosis on this one?"

Julia plopped down on her bed, wrapped herself up in her blankets and sighed heavily as her phone beeped.
She couldn't help but smile.
Too bad my daddy told me never to trust a Montague. :p
and i know he does, understandably so.
And oh are you? You just wanna see me in that bikini again ;D
Eventually, the blonde pulled herself off her bed and drug herself back into her closet. She changed clothes a few times before picking up her phone and giving Rosemary a call. She could use her best friend right now, even if she couldn't tell her what was going on.
Pretty baby, don't you leave me. I have been saving smiles for you..

 Rosemary Anna-Lee Bret Peace is not something you wish for;It's something you make Something you do After releasing a few more dogs, she lead them outside where the gated dog park had been installed, thanks to her generous donation, and they all went wild, running and nipping at each other. She nodded to the other volunteers as she went back inside to clean up some cages and feed the rest of the animals.
No sooner had she finished did she notice a young girl looking around, Rose smiled instantly.
"Are you here to adopt?" She asked curiously, but the girl merely looked at her and ran. Greeaaat. Rose figured the girl would run, she didn't smell too great after that clean up job. Frowning, she washed up and went out to greet a few families before coming to the little girl and her family. They wanted a dog. Not just any dog, a small, friendly dog because the girl was picky.
"I don't blame her, but I think there are a few candidates." She beckoned them outside and let the girl take her pick. It took a mere ten minutes and the girl had chosen. "Great choice, she's one of my favorites." Rose winked and called the small Pomeranian in.
Paperwork. Ugh, but she got it done. The dog seemed to sense it was her last day and licked her hand gratefully. Ruffling her fur she kissed its nose and gave it to the girl's adoring hands.
Rose shot a glance at the clock and chuckled. Time to play. Fixing her hair into a better ponytail, her bangs sideswept, Rose ran out to enjoy the company of the dogs.

Mike was a little bad about the car he chose to work on, since he didn't have any specifics by his boss. He didn't exactly start with the most urgent. See, there was a mercedes benz that the owner simply didn't know what was wrong with it, and he set to work on that one instead.
It's not like it would take long or anything, since it was obviously in good condition. It probably had a low battery or needed an oil change or some such.
Michael hadn't been tinkering with it for more than 10 minutes when he heard a car drive up, and moments later, Reese's voice rang out.
Mike pushed against the under side of the car and slid out on the rollers he lay on and sat up.
"Hey man, what are you doing here?" he stood up and and grinned.
"The owner thought it had a problem, but it looks like it really just needs an oil change, easy fix."
He took the coffee and drained it.
"Thanks, so what brought you over here so early?"

"Sweet." he said, checking out the car again.
"Well if you need help with anything, I got hours to kill. And I'd rather not be at home." he said dully.
Reese stood up as Mike took the coffee, and patted the husky on the head.
"Just been to the park and thought we'd say hi. Haven't seen you in near a week man." he said, turning to face him, leaning on his jag.
"What's new and all that?" he asked as his phone went off again in his pocket. He took it out and read over the message, smirking and typing out a quick reply.
Your daddy is a wise man.
Yeeah.
Damn right I do. (;
He slipped it back in his pocket and ruffled up the pup's fur again as she stuck her head out further of the window.

When Rose didn't answer she decided to aimlessly wander around her house.
God, this was sad. She had a ton of friends, but none of them she really trusted... And she had money, a huge house, a nice car, and yet what was she doing right now? Nothing. Nada.
Waiting around for a boy.
Jeesh. This was so not Julia.
But when her phone buzzed her face lit up again.
Oh, so you can't be trusted eh?
And I know it(: But I'm sure you'd rather it be off this time razz
She couldn't help it. Though her and Reese hadn't done much, they had hooked up a bit here and there in the past week or so. Flirting was a must, and typically happened daily in texts. Especially when they couldn't see each other.

Mike thought about that. Yeah, he didn't really need any help, but could if he had Reese help him with some things anyway, maybe he could get off early....
Hm. On that note, Michael wondered what Reese would think about his situation with Rose. The guy had been pining after her for a long time after all...
But Mike also wondered about Julia. He suspected things hadn't ended at the dance.
He'd feel less guilty if that were true.
Absently, reached out to Baby to give the dog some apparently much needed attention from him.It always amused him, and Mike thought the husky was pretty awesome too. It was also cool that Baby wasn't intimidated by Passion, despite her size even for a female dog, being part wolf and all.
"I could probably put you to work on something if you want."
He looked around as he continued.
"Yeah, I know, what's up with that?" he asked as he looked back and grinned.
He was about to go on and answer Reese's question when he stopped and saw him eagerly pull his phone and text away.
Michael purposely looked at him suspiciously and said, "I could ask you the same thing, what's been going on wit you?"
Meanwhile though, Mike still had work to do, so he got moving, but could still pay attention to his friend.

Reese looked around the garage. "Go for it."
He crossed his arms and sighed a little. "'Father' started me up on the military schedule.." he said, knowing it wouldn't need further explanation. "I'm sure he'd be more than happy to have another recruit if you ever find yourself at a loss of things to do.." he joked, smirking at his friend.
Slipping his phone back into his pocket he tried to hold back a grin. He rubbed his newly shaven chin and scratched his finger lightely at the side of his head. "How stupid would I have to be to want to get involved with Julia Capulet?" he asked biting at the inside of his lip after he said it.
Reese felt his phone vibrate in his pocket again and pulled it out, read the text and put it quickly back in his pocket, looking up at Mike with something of an innocent smile.

Mike looked around and pointed to the car he had just been looking over.
"Change the oil? I gotta check out the other ones."
Aaaanyways...
"Haha, fun stuff, I'm sure." Oh military schedule...
"Yeeah, I think I'll live without thanks."
Michael had moved over to the next in line, but stopped a moment, in thought at Reese's mention of the Capulet. Ah, so something more had been going on since the dance eh?
"Depends, she into you?" Mike asked, turning to look at Reese with a grin.
"Because it's pretty stupid either way, but if she wants you... well, I'm game."
Ok, so maybe he had an ulterior motive that may have something to do with Rose... but whatever, that wasn't the only reason!
Tristan was the Capulet he loathed. Which would certainly complicate things for his friend, considering the jerk lived with Julia, but hey... Mike would love to see Reese spite him, for one, and if the two lovebirds wanted each other, then why not? Julia seemed alright. If a bit touchy.

Reese began to go about changing the oil of the car Mike had pointed out.
"Well, definitely seems like it." he said, looking up at him briefly.
He smirked at Mike's comment. "I'm seeing her tonight."
Reese knew himself that it was a stupid idea. If they got caught by any one of either family, they'd both be screwed. But the whole danger of it is what made it exciting.
Reese smiled as he finished changing the oil, grabbing a cloth and wiping most of the grease of his hands.
"We went back to her place after the dance.." he added.
"And I dunno, she's not like the other Capulets. She's a really cool girl. I haven't been able to stop thinking about her all this week." He laughed a little at the thought. "That's kinda weird right? Hm. Yeah it is." he said, answering his own question and shaking his head.
The only girl he'd every gone goo goo eyed over was Rosemary, and it was starting to go the same way with Julia.
"I mean, I haven't thought about Rosemary since the dance. Not even for a second." he said, knowing Mike'd be surprised at that fact. He didn't know how long he had pined after that girl, apart from that it was a while.. But now, it was as if she almost didn't exist in his head.
"But I dunno. It'll probably end up just being a sex thing or something." he said, dropping the cloth back down onto the work bench.
"So how was the rest of your night, you get up to much?" He never did ask what the rest of the dance was like.

Mike listened closely, admittedly, because he wanted to gauge Reese's exact feelings toward Julia... in hopes it would make him totally wanting Rose okay.
And when the guy was done, he was more confident about it!
Although... Yeeaaah, it did sound almost exactly like he had been about Rose, which was weird, because he never thought anyone could completely just push the girl out of his head... So Michael was now hoping that didn't mean he'd just get over Julia and go back to Rose........ Yeah he wasn't going to totally dash his hopes with too much thinking.
"Hey! That's a good thing! Even if it is Julia, which complicates things... because you've been hung over Rose for so long, even though ya know... It obviously wasn't going to happen... So getting over her is a good thing!"
He didn't want that to sound too bad... especially when he was sure his newer found feelings for Rose weren't one-sided.
But would he tell Reese now... Weeeell, he diiid ask about what happened later sooo...
"Ok, I'm happy for you man, but I'll admit it, I have a little bit of an ulterior motive..." he grinned, putting his hands palms up as if he was caught about it.
"Pretty much the group, minus you, ended up in the same place as her group, minus her... Which is why we pretty much figured you two ended up together for more than one dance. Tristan was an a** as always... but Rose... Well, I walked her home... And we've sort of had a date since, and I'm supposed to see her later today, although that's because we coincidentally ran into each other!" he looked off to the side, and went back to the work so that he wasn't looking at Reese.
But he was smiling just thinking about it.
