"Razor Leaf, I expected as much. Poliwhirl, use Ice Beam and blast those leaves out of sight." Crenu had grown quite serious, he was two pokemon down and looking at a troublesome situation, Erika had proved more problematic than he'd thought. But Poliwhirl wouldn't lose this, he was confident in his abilities. Poliwhirl bounced up and down happily, glaring at the Ivysaur and his funny leaves, pointing one of his hands at the attack and releasing a powerful blast of arctic energy that froze up and blasted the grass type attack away, one of the leaves that got through whizzing by his head. He was so ready for this fight, he wanted to turn that Ivysaur into a popsicle!

Keegan shrugged, trying to hide the amused smirk that crossed his features as she expressed her concern. "Don't you worry about me, Kassie, I can take care of myself. You should make sure you're okay and try to get a good night's sleep tonight. No offence, but you look terrible." He offered a smile to show that he didn't intend to start a fight with the comment, and looked over his shoulder at the group behind him. A few of them were talking quietly to each other, while the apparent leader of the group, Edward, was watching them closely, shuffling the cards almost compulsively. "I guess I'd better sit back down, it looks like the guys are starting to get annoyed." He leaned forward, and kissed her forehead, though he couldn't quite understand why, the gesture felt rather awkward, like maybe he should have just patted her shoulder and sent her on her way instead. "Go get some rest, and I'll see you in the morning." Without hesitation he turned and headed back to the table where he sat back down again, waving off the annoyed looks he was getting. "Sorry about that," he said, glancing over his shoulder to make sure she was leaving, "you know how girlfriends are. High maintenance, that one," he chuckled, nodding as the next hand was dealt out. "Okay, where were we...?" ===== Miharu had spent less than ten minutes inside the PokeMart, and ignoring her stomach's angry rumblings she headed back outside. She headed back down towards the waterfront, painfully aware of just how much time she had left before the ferry left, and she'd decided to spend it wisely. Once she'd arrived at her destination, she took a Pokeball from her belt and let it fly, watching with a wide smile as her faithful Staryu sped through the air and came to land on the ground in front of her. "Nice entry," the small girl commented, kneeling down on the ground so that she could wipe away a slight smudge that had somehow appeared on the water type's red center gem. It reminded her of something someone once had mentioned to her a long time ago, something about contests involving Pokemon. "I have two great new moves for you, Starrie," Miharu told the Staryu, wondering if perhaps she should get some more information on contests and when and where they were held.
Miharu pulled out the two shimmering discs from her bag, and studied them both closely. "I think you'll make great use out of these," she told the ever-stoic Pokemon. First, she pressed the golden-yellow disc against the Starshape Pokemon's core gem. The top point on Staryu's body bowed forward slightly, and after absorbing the knowledge of the new technique, hopped a little on spot, in a rare display of excitement. "I know, it's great, isn't it?" Miharu laughed, now applying the second disc, this one pinkish in colour. Now that both discs had been used up they cracked in half, and not wanting to be a litter bug she decided to put them back into her bag. Somehow she managed to knock a few of her belongings out in the process and she muttered a mild curse word as a few spare Pokeballs clattered to the ground, as well as the shiny blue Water Stone she'd won.
She quickly picked up the loose Pokeballs and put them away, but was hesitant with the Water Stone. She was fully aware of the fact that if she were to use it on Starrie, it would evolve into a Starmie, but she wasn't sure if she or Starrie were ready for such a change. Well, Starrie would become a lot stronger, and it would probably give it a huge confidence boost, she thought, picking up the stone. It felt cool and damp in her hands, though her skin remained quite dry. It was almost as if the stone was made of glass and she could see clear water contained within. Miharu sighed and looked over at Starrie. "With this, you could become a lot stronger," she told the Staryu. "But, I also think you're pretty amazing just how you are." She paused, and held the Water Stone out for Starrie to 'look' at. "It's up to you." The Staryu seemed to be thinking it over as it remained perfectly motionless, but after a few minutes it took a few 'steps' forward and nodded the best a starfish could. Miharu smiled, and nodded as well. "Okay then, as you wish." Her hands were trembling a bit as she took a deep breath and touched the sparkling blue stone to Starrie's gem, and watched with awe as the Starshape Pokemon began to transform before her eyes.

"WHY Click! WON'T-heh heh-Click!-IT Click! WORK! Click! Click! Click! Heheh-heh-HA-HAAA-haaaaaaAAAGGGHHHHH! ARH-RAH-RAAGH!" Mike slammed his fists into the ground, each strike shaking the earth beneath him. "Aaagghh!" he shrieked, tearing off of his gloves and throwing them deep into the woods. "WORTHLESS!" he screamed. "WORTHLESS WORTHLESS WORTHLESS! Must I do everything myself!?" The boy looked around for something sharp, a long drop, a wild Ursaring, anything he could use. "I'll have you out of my head Milo, even if I have to scoop it out with a ******** SPOON!" He descended into a fit of laughter when he spotted a rather large cliff n the distance. "Perfect!" Mike cried, running towards it.
"That's quite enough." replied Milo, his voice not showing any trace of concern, but rather annoyance. Mike found himself frozen mid-sprint, once again falling helplessly to the dirt. "As much as I enjoy you writhing around in your own delusions, which trust me, I do, I will not have you throwing yourself off of ledges because of some twisted thought that it will free you. It won't. You know what it'll do? Splatter your self across the Hoenn landscape, where your mangled corpse will be picked off by birds. They'll find your remains and broadcast it to the entire world that the psychopath responsible for the Liliycove incident offed himself, too burdened by his own guilt. And the people will breathe a sigh of relief that the world has one less nut-case to worry about."
"Good!" shouted Mike in reply, struggling to regain control of his body. "If nothing else comes of it, at least my death will bring some semblance of peace!"
"I'm not done yet." Milo said with a sigh. "While it's true that the populace will be able to sleep easier, what about those you hold so sickeningly close to your heart? What about your precious Flannery, your mother, those annoying punks that you call friends? You think they'll be happy that their good buddy just smeared himself all over the forests of Fortee? I think not. Even that tramp Winona felt bad for you after all that." If the very thought of his other half didn't make him sick to their stomach, Milo would have been impressed at his friends' willingness to forgive and forget.
Mike paused for a moment, thinking back to what Kasiya said to him before he left her at the hospital. "Like they even care about me anymore." he struggled to lie.
"You vastly underestimate the idiocy of the human heart, boy." retorted Milo, clearly unconvinced. "Whether we like it or not, you've got to continue living. To continue suffering. You wouldn't want your friends to get hurt now would you? To break their hearts?"
"Damn you Milo." Mike felt his vision begin to blur, the world around him fading into darkness. "Damn you..."

Fwoosh...fwoosh...fwoosh...P'WOOSH!
Mike awoke with a start at the sound of a loud crash, jumping to his feet only to fall down again. His legs were extremely sore, most likely from all that running he had done earlier. ******** it was bright out. Where'd the shade from the trees go? And what's with the smell in the air, nothing like it was when he blacked out. All these questions swarmed around in the boy's head as his vision came back to him.
"The ocean?!" Mike shouted in disbelief. "Where am I, Lilycove? Mossdeep?" he looked around for any sign that could help him figure out where he was. It was no doubt an island, with two large symmetrical caves being at the center. It didn't look like anything he remembered from Hoenn, but even he, as well traveled as he was, hadn't been everywhere. God forbid there was anyone around aside from the occasional speck on the horizon Mike gathered were swimmers, but no way in hell was he going out there just to ask. After a bit of wandering around, he found his salvation in the form of well, an actual sign. It sported an icy blue color scheme, and in rather lovely caligraphy read: Seafoam Islands. "SEAFOAM ISLANDS?!" screamed the boy. "What the hell am I doing in Kanto!?"

"All right, if you say so," Kasiya said, deciding to let Keegan win this one. She was too tired to argue it any further and she put the key in her pocket. "Have fun, and don't stay out too late," she cautioned. She'd been about to turn around and make her way to the front doors when Keegan planted a soft kiss on her forehead, and she found herself blushing for the umpteenth time that evening. She turned abruptly and made her way out, luckily not hearing Keegan's "high maintenance" comment, otherwise he might have ended up with a chair to the back of the head. She shivered a little as she stepped outside into the cool evening air. It was nice and peaceful compared to the bustling going on inside the Gala, and she was thankful it was over. Mission accomplished, she thought with a smile, reaching up and touching the place on her forehead where Keegan had kissed her. It tingled slightly, and though she wanted it to mean that things were right again, she somehow knew they weren't. Not completely. The bit of time they'd spent together this evening (when not shouting at one another, of course) had been quite awkward. Even the kiss he'd given her had seemed forced and insincere. These were troubling thoughts, and though she had been quite tired a few minutes ago, she felt more awake and alert now, as she'd gained her second wind.
=-=-=-=-= "Hah! Your Weedle is helpless now!" the boy shouted, pointing at the sleeping bug Pokemon. "I told you it was useless! Go, Nosepass, Shroomish! Tackle attack that bug! Then, when we've knocked it out we can focus on the Squirtle!" Both Pokemon were quick to obey, again with Shroomish being the quicker of the two. Lowering it's head as it charged, it rammed into Weedle forcibly, sending the small bug rolling along the ground.
"Ahh! No you don't," Jaeshan shouted. "Squirtle, use Aqua Jet on Nosepass again! Don't let it hit Weedle!" Squirtle nodded and dashed forward, and suddenly he was propelled forward by strong, speedy jet of water. He intercepted the Nosepass' tackle quite easily, and again the two skidded across the now-soaked ground, though this time Nosepass didn't seem to take as much damage as before, especially now that it had used Harden to buff itself up. I sure wish Squirtle had Water Gun already, Jaeshan thought, but quickly changed his mind. He knew Squirtle would learn it and other attacks soon enough, and for now he would trust in the abilities Squirtle did have. "Okay Squirtle, you've got to watch out for Weedle until he wakes up! Use your new Ice Beam attack on Shroomish!"
Squirtle nodded, and grinned at the Mushroom Pokemon before him. "I-ice B-beam?" the boy stuttered. "How does your Squirtle know Ice Beam?" He wouldn't get an answer though, as before he could call for Shroomish to dodge, Squirtle had opened his mouth and loosed a bright, icy ray that slammed into the inexperienced Shroomish and sent it tumbling.
=-=-=-=-= Oh, Ice Beam, so that's his master plan behind using Poliwhirl, Erika thought, calmly watching as Poliwhirl knocked the leaves out of the air with the icy attack. She'd seen more than enough of the Tadpole Pokemon in her time and she knew they weren't known for their special attacking capabilities. Still, she had to admire their strategy.
"Okay Ivysaur, they can't keep that up forever, so Razor Leaf once more! Rapid-fire!" she commanded. In all fairness, she knew that Ivysaur wouldn't be able to keep it up forever either, though she had to admit that she was very proud of her newest Pokemon's efforts. All our training has paid off, she thought, silently wondering if he'd ever choose to evolve into a Venusaur. Ivysaur growled slightly, still tinged with the green, glowing aura of his Overgrow ability and he took another step forward and sent another volley of leaves at Poliwhirl, though these ones were noticeably quicker than those from the previous round.

"Wow that was a pretty good move I have got to admit. For such a young pokemon he is doing pretty well." Jake said with a smile on his face. "Still that isn't going to save you. We still have the experience on our side. Even with your leech seed still in effect." Jake said as he watched the energy get sapped away from Baku again. "Still, we have enough energy to defeat you yet! Baku use your Confusion!" Moving his arms through the vines Baku took aim at the Totodile who started to run at the Drowzee who fired at the Totodile.
Black*Star had just enough time to leap at the Drowzee his sharp claws shining in the moonlight. Ignoring the pain racing through his body at the attack he used the last of his energy to slash his claws down in a boosted Scratch attack. Black*Star wasn't able to see the results of his attack as he had passed out by the time he had hit the ground.
The Drowzee stumbled back a little from the power of that attack. Still he managed to stay upright. The battle was over and it had been a clear blackout for Robin. Jake grinned and recalled his Drowzee back into the pokeball the leech seed vines falling to the ground. "Wow that little Totodile is sure going to be a force to be reckoned with when he gets a bit older." Jake said with a grin as he walked over to where Robin was picking the hurt water pokemon up.
"Yeah your right. I never knew he was going to put up such a good fight. I just thought he was full of himself. Anyway we better get our pokemon to the center to get healed up." Looking down at Luffy who was still covered in permanent marker. "Also Luffy needs a bath I think." Robin giggled slightly as they headed into town and towards the pokemon center. Dropping off Brook and Black*Star she grabbed Luffy and was about to take him into the bathroom to get him washed when Jake stopped her.
"Hey while Baku is healing I was thinking of heading off to the pokemart to pick up some TM's. This is probably the last chance we are going to get before we go to Sinnoh. You want me to get you anything?" He asked politely.
Thinking about it for a moment Robin nodded and pulling out her pokedex she opened up her pokedex and searched through it. After a second she handed Jake a sticky note and some money. "There we go. Thanks for doing this."

Another Razor Leaf, how dull. Crenu had expected something different and new, but then again it wasn't a bad move. He though about trying to repel it with another Ice Beam, or something else in general, but Crenu was growing tired of the Ivysaur. "Brace yourself and jump with in Poliwhirl. Don't let yourself get stopped by an attack like that." Poliwhirl started laughing, he was more than glad to do it. Crossing his arms in front of his body he charged directly into the oncoming attack. The leaves were very sharp and had a little bit of an extra punch, cutting up Poliwhirl all over his body. But he powered through it and took the damage like a champ, still laughing as he charged directly at Ivysaur. "Poliwhirl, Body Slam." With that Poliwhirl rushed forward coming in low, reaching his hands out ready to slam the Seed Pokemon into the dirt.

Eztli saw the exit to Route 34. The little in-between house that allowed a little rest for the lost and weary travelers shined with lights that lit the perpetual dusk of the forest. She sighed, ran for the exit. Oddly enough, she couldn't wait to be out of the forest. She felt the excitement of new adventure and exploration. She passed through the old doors of the little house, and out into the sunlight on Route 34. She shielded her eyes, the brightness a stark contrast to the night of the forest. She inhaled, smelling the scent of the water nearby, the long grass, and the stinking city of Goldenrod up ahead. The huge metropolis had a pollution haze hanging over it. The Radio Tower stood out, tall and black. She wrinkled her nose. It was an ugly structure, and Goldenrod was an ugly city. Too loud and noisy, even though she enjoyed liveliness.
She saw a little building outside the city limits, with a huge yard. She knew it was the Daycare, she often visited when she had to go to Goldenrod for shopping. The elder's were very nice people, much different then John personality-wise. They often let her care for the pokemon left there, and sometimes she even found some of the eggs that mysteriously appeared there. If she did, they let her have the honor of presenting it to the Trainer. Of course, they didn't always take it, and so the couple had alot of baby pokemon on their hands. One in particular was her favorite, a cute little Slowpoke. After all, she was from Azalea, where the residents basically worshipped Slowpoke. She had the named the little boy Tlaloc, a prestigious name for a rather slow in mind and body pokemon. Tlaloc enjoyed his time at the daycare, and greatly enjoyed his time with Eztli. She had hoped one day she would be Tlaloc's Trainer, but the daycare lady said she would have to wait until she matured more. It made her almost angry that the Daycare Lady didn't think her mature, she was 15, older then alot of Trainers, but she understood. Tlaloc would be a handful if she ever got him.
She avoided the long grass, hoping to get straight to Goldenrod City without being interrupted. She wasn't sure why, but it sounded like a good idea. Maybe she would train in the Naional Park, it always had an abundance of grass pokemon. She hurried past some battling trainers, and ducked behind some bushes when a little boy came dashing through, shouting about being a champion. She snickered.
"Um excuse me?" A rather annoyed voice came from behind her. Eztli jumped and spun around. A girl about 13 was sitting on a checked blanket, with a sandwich in front of her. "Yeah, I'm kind of eating here. Having a picnic?" She tapped the blanket.
"Oh sorry. I didn't mean to interrupt but I-"
"Oh hey you're a trainer! Tell ya what, you battle me and I won't yell at you for ruining my brunch." Eztli looked at her with a confused look at her face and rolled her eyes.
"Fine, whatever." She took Xipil's ball off her belt. "Come on Xipil, let's make this quick, I want to get to Goldenrod." Xipil came out breathing fire. The girl jumped back a bit. She recovered quickly though.
"Well good for me I have three pokemon." She threw a pokeball and out came a pink puffball with leaves. Eztli took out her crimson Pokedex and quickly scanned the entry.
"A Hoppip? Yeah, this will be quick."

Mazarin's eyes widened and he ran for cover as he saw the Golem begin to glow bright white. He knew what was coming, since he had seen Kilik's Weezing do the same thing many times. "P-Prooooo---" he called out but his command was completely muffled by the explosion. He held his ears as he ducked, but the force blew him off his feet and he flew a few feet back landing on his stomach. "Gurgh!" he coughed when he landed, standing back up. The boy ran over to the battle to find that both Golem and Sharpedo had been knocked out. Scratching his nose, he tried to think of something that would make him win. Snapping his fingers, it came to him. "According to Pokemon League regulation, any time both trainer's last Pokemon are knocked out by Explosion, the trainer using Explosion is deemed the loser. That would be uh..." he looked around absent-mindedly. "You, dear." He brushed some dirt and mud off - he was still wet from Sharpedo's Surf attack - then recalled his fallen Pokemon.
"And that means a kiss!" Maz said, jumping into the air, strutting his stuff as he moved over to Sasha. Very cooly, he wrapped his arm around her and pulled her close. "Now," he said lowering his voice to an almost Barry White tone, "give daddy some sugar." He closed his eyes and puckered his lips. Next would come the kiss of his life - a kiss with the hottest chick he'd ever seen in his life.

Downstairs was extremely loud for this time of night, but with each scientist working full speed and using every ounce of their energy to appease Giovanni, it's not as if they had much choice. Machines were working at max capacity, creating wheels, gears, shaping sheets of metal. If someone had just seen this, they would think it a factory more than a laboratory. Stretching his legs, Giovanni left the room, hearing one of his men cry out that their calculations had been off by an extremely slight margin. The man slammed the door behind him with his foot. As he walked down the large hallways deep below the Viridian City Gym, hands in his pockets, looking very calm, his mind was fast at work. His brain was turning quicker and thinking faster than those machines that echoed in his ears. Filled with images of his greatest creation finally destroying those bothersome children, his heart couldn't help but skip a few beats with each step. "I will show those kids what fear is. I will show them that Team Rocket is not to be toyed with! They're using us like...a training tool, just to level up and grow stronger!"
"I will show them!" he growled, slamming his fist into the elegant wall, "If they weren't so cowardly and fought me one on one, I don't think they'd be so smug! Foolish!" he put his hands back to his sides, leaving a giant hole in the wall where his fist had landed. Game over, kiddies.

"Oh my god!" a voice echoed from inside the caverns, a young girl. It's suddenness startled Mike, who hid behind the sign like some sort of troll. His quest for answers would have to wait. "I did NOT speak in the third person just now!" continued the girl, apparently upset at something.
"Whatever, I know what I heard," replied another voice. Two figures emerged from the darkness of the cave, surprisingly wearing nothing but swimsuits. Then again, judging from how lovely the girl was that walked out, maybe it wasn't so far-fetched. The couple made it about ten feet out of the entrance before they both stopped abruptly, noticing the boy lurking from behind the post. "Uh, hi?" said the guy. The girl, noticing Mike's tattered look, latched herself to her man. It was at this point that Mike realized how much bigger that he was compared to him, and that he had just thrown away his gloves in the woods. "What're you lookin' at shrimp?"
Shrimp? Mike almost giggled at the elementary school insult. "You I suppose." he replied, but not in an insulting manner. "To be honest I'm sort of lost." He left out the part of having a psychotic breakdown in the woods following an attempted rape and suicide in Hoenn then somehow magically ending up in Kanto. That might just turn them off a bit. "That and I'm kind of not a water guy if you know what I mean."
Seeing that this kid was clearly harmless (Ha.), both teens walked over to him. "Just how'd you get here if you're not a 'water guy' as you put it?" asked the boy.
Cycling through all the possible lies he could say, Mike chose one that this one just might understand, maybe even like. "Well, haha." he began. "I was out with some friends last night, had a bit too much to drink and wound up here." Both kids laughed.
"Wow," giggled the girl. "You must have drunk a lot. You're an absolute mess, and it's almost 3:30, ********, really? his eyes widened. There is no way I could have made it from Hoenn to Kanto this fast. What day is it? Mike pulled out his Pokenav. Sure enough, he'd been out for a greater portion of the day. This caused his heart to jump a bit. Last time he was out for this long he woke up on top of his half naked crying friend. "Oh boyyy..." the boy began to shake in place, him being worried was the understatement of the century.
"Yo bro, you alright?" the guy asked, concerned.
HA HA HA HA HA HA. "What? No I'm fine." he lied. "I just, well, ha, I don't really like the ocean as I said earlier. Thank god they didn't take my Pokemon."
"Well, it doesn't seem like a total loss, why not a battle?" The guy flashed a competitive smile, loosening the grip on his girl.
"Oh, I don't..." The last thing he wanted was to get carried away in a match. What he really needed to do was find a place to hide, to gather himself. "I don' t think that's such a good idea." Mike waved his hands defensively, hoping he'd catch the hint.
"Aw come on, dude." pleaded the beefcake. "Me and my girl have been dying to see how well we fight together." "We're gonna make it to the Pokemon League together!" the girl's eyes lit up, her mind wandering off into fantasy.
Mike loosed an exasperated sigh. "Alright, fine. Two each for you and four for me?"
"Sounds great! M'names Tyler by the way." "I'm Anne." "Mike." With introductions out of the way, the Pokeballs flew.
-----
Sasha grit her teeth at Maz's sudden burst of knowledge, recalling her fainted Golem. Figures. she groaned. The one time he's got a sliver of a brain is when it works against me. Merde. Before she could even react, the eccentric kid was upon her, squeezing her tight and trying his best (and failing miserably) to turn this into some sort of romantic encounter. Her face lit up in a devious smile when she noticed Maz was wet. You want sexy you little creep? Alright.
"Not so rough Mazzie," As if flipping a switch, Sasha switched from furious to enamored, making sure to add in any ditsy giggles wherever neccesary. "I'm a delicate beauty, you must be gentle with me." Shifting in his grip, she slid one hand into her bag, while the other ran gently up the boy's neck. "Vous êtes un imbécile crédule." she cooed, masking the true hateful meaning of her words with her sexy French accent, overdone to further distract the boy. There it was. She smiled again. "J'espère que cela fait très mal." In one swift motion, there was a bright flash of light and Maz was on the ground. The girl chuckled sinisterly, holding a still crackling taser in her hands. "How's fifty thousand volts, tu révoltante pervers."
After making sure the boy was completely out, Sasha ran back to the Pokemon Center, dried off, healed her Pokemon, and taking no special care, dragged the boy by his pant leg out of the city.

Keegan wasn't sure how many hands they played, but after the first few they all seemed to blend together, though he couldn't be sure if it was because of the beer that seemed to keep magically appearing in front of him, or because he was actually having a good time. It was probably because of the steadily flowing alcohol, however, that none of them seemed to be able to keep a decent pile of chips in front of them, though it became quite clear early on that only Keegan and Edward were really serious about the game. It wasn't long before two of the players had called it a night and it was down to just the two of them, as well as a fairly quiet, greasy-haired youth whom inevitably became the dealer.
By this point nearly everyone had already gone from the Gala and the cleanup crew had begun their daunting task, though a few remaining party-goers had started to gather around the poker table, rather interested in the current hand that was going on. Neither boy dared to look up at the other from behind their cards, though both appeared confident in their hands. Trying to keep his thoughts clear, Keegan eyed the pile of chips in the middle of the table before looking back at his cards. He was sitting on three kings, which wasn't bad, but considering how the rest of the evening had gone he wasn't about to brag about it. "I'll take two," he told the dealer, placing the two useless cards in his hand face-down on the table. The dealer nodded and tossed two new cards towards the redhead. Keegan just looked at them for a moment before picking them up, and assimilating them into his hand with the kings. Interesting, he thought, a doubtful expression appearing on his face as he looked across the table at Edward, who also took two cards.
Edward either had a terrible poker face, or a really, really good one; Keegan hadn't been able to tell one way or the other as the night progressed. His current expression was unreadable, even as he placed his arms on the table, careful to keep only the backs of the cards visible to his opponent. "Say Red," he said, a curious tone in his voice, "wanna make it a little more... interesting? Whaddya say we up the stakes a little, hmm?"
Keegan raised an eyebrow, peering at the other boy over the top of his cards. "Oh yeah?" he mumbled, averting his gaze just long enough for him to pick up his beer, though he didn't drink just yet. "How so?" Edward only grinned at him, and stood up so quickly that he knocked his chair out from behind him. Then, with one fluid swipe of his arm he sent the pile of poker chips, as well as several empty bottles, clattering to the floor with a loud crash. He reached into his pocket and withdrew something small, and he practically slammed it on the center of the table - a red and white Pokeball. The small crowd around them let out a collective 'oooh.'
"That's how," he said smugly. ===== When it was over, a larger, lovelier-looking Pokemon stood before her, it's many appendages a lovely shade of violet-blue. It's sparkling core gem was rimmed with gold, and Miharu gasped quietly. She'd never seen a Starmie in person before, and suddenly she was quite glad she'd used the Water Stone. She didn't know how, but somehow she knew that Starrie was happy as well; it was just a feeling she got from looking at the newly-evolved Pokemon. The two of them both turned towards the water at the same time, as suddenly Miharu came to realize something. "Hey, wait a minute, we don't need a ferry, we have Surf!" she said, suddenly feeling a little stupid. Now that Starrie had evolved, it would certainly have the strength to ferry her across the water, wouldn't it? After all, she could vaguely see the shoreline of Cianwood in the distance, the oddly shaped formations of the Whirl Islands, and she sighed, changing her mind. Nah, knowing my luck I'd fall in and drown, she thought, deciding to wait for the ferry after all.
"Hey, you with the Starmie!" a female voice called out, and Miharu turned to see a girl with short, blue hair making her way towards her. She wore a loose-fitting, white halter top over a blue bathing suit, and blue and white-striped board shorts.
"Uh... are you talking to me?" Miharu asked a bit uncertainly.
"Well, yeah!" the girl said, laughing. "Your Starmie is beautiful," she went on. "I love the way it's core sparkles in the sunlight!"
"Thank you," Miharu said, bowing slightly. "And yes, I think so too. We only just used the Water stone a few moments ago," she admitted after a moment or two, holding up the now dull-grey stone. "I wasn't sure at first, but Starrie seemed to think it was a good idea."
"Ooh, you can understand your Starmie? That's a sign of a really awesome Water Pokemon trainer!" the blue-haired girl exclaimed, hopping up and down. Miharu noticed now that she was barefoot.
"I'm not a water Pokemon trainer, and no, I can't really understand Starrie," Miharu said, though the girl didn't appear to hear her.
"My name's Marina, and I'm gonna be the greatest Water Pokemon master of all time! And to do that, I've got to battle other trainers and their water type Pokemon! What do you say, do you and your Starmie wanna take on me and my water Pokemon?"
"Sure, I suppose so," Miharu nodded, though a little annoyed that Marina wasn't listening to her. "I'm Miharu, but I only have one water Pokemon," she warned.
Again, Marina appeared not to be listening and instead had jumped up onto a rock jutting out of the water. "How's three on three sound to you, Miharu?"
Okay, maybe she was listening. To what she wanted to hear. "Fine, that'll work," Miharu said, sighing. But with Starrie's new move, I bet it won't last long even if she does use three Pokemon, the small girl thought with a rare, confident grin.

"A fire Pokemon?" laughed Tyler, pointing at the recently released Magmar. "You're really out of your element, dude." Out of his Pokeball came a Staryu, its core sparkling in the sun.
Mike wasn't the least bit intimidated at Tyler's comment, whether it was intentionally degrading or not. "They're my favorite." he replied bluntly.
"I can see that," Tyler said with a chortle, making note of the boy's wardrobe. At this point Anne had released her Pokemon as well: a Tentacool. Mike held his tongue, wondering for a moment if he should just let Napalm take them on by himself, just to show them. But, seeing as he was a sporting chap, he figured the Magmar deserved a 'fair chance' against these two strong water Pokemon. Finding no better substitute, Proton was sent out on the battlefield.
"Tentacool, Bubblebeam!" Anne commanded, the Jellyfish Pokemon shooting a stream of bubbles towards her foe; in this case, Napalm. "You too Staryu, let's take out that Magmar!" Hoping for an easy KO, both kids aimed for the fire type.
Perfect. thought the boy. They had walked right into his trap. "Proton, take the hits! Napalm Psychic that Tentacool!" he shouted, directing the two with his hands. The oceanic breeze felt weird in between his now naked fingers.
The Magneton flew in front of the Magmar, the bubbles all but harmlessly bouncing off of his steel body. Shielded from the bubbles, Napalm used his new legs to slide out from Proton's side, throwing his hands out and mentally grabbing the Tentacool before spinning it around and slamming it into the ground. The jellyfish cried out in pain and flopped around in the dirt, its trainer looking on in shock.
"A Psychic move?!" she wailed, gazing down at her Pokemon, nearly taken out in one blow. Her early spunky confidence was now gone, fear taking its place. Tyler, while shaken a bit, wasn't the kind of young man to let it get to him.
"Swift attack the Magmar!" The starfish's ruby red core flashed a brilliant shade of gold before loosing a barrage of magic stars towards the fire Pokemon.
"Thunderbolt." Mike replied in kind. Time for retribution. Seconds following the attack the Staryu was blasted by a concentrated burst of electricity. There was a small explosion of thunder, and the water Pokemon dropped to the ground, its body twitching with electricity.
"What the-?" The two stood there, rendered all but speechless at the current display. To which Mike responded the only way he knew how in that situation:
"Hnhnhnhnhn-eheh-heh-heh-heh-HYEH-HA-HA HA HA HA!""

Sam smiled for another picture, shielding Devlin a bit for the flash. The Darkness pokemon cringed a little. Sam's mom came in with sandwiches.
"Okay, eat up everyone! PB&J's all around." Sam immediately grabbed one and munched on it. It was always better when her mom made it. Devlin cooed a bit, and Star and Miles tugged on her arms and dress.
"What? Oh you're hungry..." Sam looked around. "Hey Mom, Dad? Want to come with me to the Center? I need to get these guys some food. Maybe I can find someone who wants to battle me there. Or I could train Devlin a bit." Her parents looked at each other, her dad's as placid as ever and her mom's overflowing with excitement.
"Oh sure! Let's go right now!" She grabbed all the sandwiches, including the one her husband had been about to take a bite out of, and put them in a lunchbox. Sam's dad blinked for a moment, then stood up and waited for Sam to go out the door. As Sam went out, holding the baby bird, and her other pokemon in tow, her parents held hands and walked close together. Her mom sighed contentedly. Everything was right again. Even though her baby was going to leave again, she knew where she was going to be and that she would be relatively safe. Sam skipped along, Devlin almost falling out of her hands. She was sure even if he did fall, he could fly to safety. She burst through the doors, and ran to the cafeteria. Miles ran ahead of her, jumping onto the tables. The Center was pretty empty, and she didn't see anybody she could battle. Most of the trainer's were here to battle Chuck, which meant they were much stronger then she was. She set Devlin on the table, leaving him with her parents while she got food for Star and Miles. Miles took his plate from her tray, and got back to the table before Sam could even turn around. He quickly gobbled down all his food, then bounced around all the tables and walls, overturning several chairs. The Nurse Joy in charge of the center glared at Sam, but Sam wasn't paying any attention. She spoonfed Devlin little bites, then quickly handed the spoon off to her mom, who gladly accepted it. Sam took out her green and black dex, and looked at blue bird's entry. It seemed pretty standard for a bird, except it said he knew a move called Drill Peck, which was certainly not standard.
"Hm...We should definitely train you a bit. I'm sure you're going to a be a good addition to the team." She remembered she still had to research Murkrow. "Can you watch Devlin for me please? I need to use the computer?" Her mom nodded, her mouth half-open as she fed Devlin. He crowed happily. Her dad stood up.
"I'll come with ya Goose. " Sam shrugged, and proceeded to the bank of computers. She logged on, and punched in Murkrow. 'Hmmmm' It turned out that with the discovery of Sinnoh had come new evolutionary stones, and one called a Dusk Stone would evolve Devlin into something called a Honchkrow. She clicked on a picture. She burst out laughing. Devlin would look like some mobster! Her dad shoved her aside and looked at the picture, then back to Devlin, then back to the picture. He pushed away.
"I don't belive it. Not that little crybaby," he said, affectionately. Sam laughed again.
"Well let's go train the baby." She walked back to the table, and scooped Devlin in her arms. She turned to look at Miles and Star. She needed one to be Devlin's opponent. Star sat sedately at her chair, while Miles was still bouncing off the walls. She frowned a bit. She wasn't sure which to choose since Star hadn't listened to her during the battle between Miles and her. "Well...which one of you wants to battle Devlin? But you'll have to listen to me exactly and take it easy on him." They both looked uncertainly at one another. Sam suddenly remembered the type match-ups. Devlin would be very strong against Miles...but then again Star's Ground-moves would miss. She decided to use Miles. "Come on, let's go." She recalled Star to her pokeball, and proceeded outside. Her parents followed cautiously, almost afraid that they were going to get caught in the fray.
"Careful, sweetie!" her mom called out, hiding a bit behind a tree. Sam turned to Miles, after setting Devlin down on the ground.
"Okay, I want you to take the hits for awhile until I say so? Don't snap at him, you'll hurt him if you do," she whispered. She backed up, and Devlin hopped a few times up and down. "Devlin, use Drill Peck!" Devlin backed up a bit, scared of the angry white fluffball, but then his beak glowed and he launched himself at Miles. Miles made no effort to move, and Miles drilled his beak straight into Miles fur. Miles staggered back a bit, but not too much.

Kilik stretched and yawned loudly, looking like a lion as he did so. His hair was messy, even though he hadn't moved around very much in his sleep. He felt a weight in his lap and looked down, noticing that Treecko was sitting there looking up at him. "Good morning," he whispered, petting her head. He then noticed that Mitsu had moved away from him. Shrugging, the boy stood up after putting Treecko on his shoulder and walked into the bathroom, yawning again while he looked in the mirror. With a few splashes of water and flicks of the wrist, his hair was back to its normal style. "What time is it?" he mumbled, walking out into the hallway as he pulled his PokeNav out. "Six in the morning...Jeez. That means I've got a couple of hours to kill. How's breakfast and some training sound to you Treecko?"
Despite training the night before, she nodded with a smile. That sleep did her wonders. Though if Kilik was ready to train already, she figured that this would become routine! She'd have to learn to like it, but then again she didn't have very much problem with it in the first place. She really liked her new trainer, rubbing her cheek against his when she thought this. Kilik smiled and lifted his hand, scratching the back of her head. Looking over at the couch again, the boy headed outside. "Whoo!" he said, jumping a bit. Even Treecko knew exactly what he was jumping for. "It may be summer, but it's rather chilly. I like that," he smiled, "Hoenn has nice weather. I wonder what Sinnoh's going to feel like." Master kept mentioning this Sinnoh place for a while now. At least, he's mentioned it a lot ever since she was born last night. Would she make more friends there? Going to the spot he trained for the past few days - the spot where he trained last night, the spot where Aggron battled Cable, and practically the spot where Cable evolved - he pulled the Electabuzz's Pokeball from his belt. He noticed Treecko shaking her head. Did she not want to battle with Cable? He let the gecko jump from his arm to the ground and she looked up at him. Crouching, Kilik pat her on the head. "Do you want to show me what you can do on your own?" Her face lit up and she started to blush, nodding. Even though she didn't want him to compliment her, that didn't stop her from wanting some alone time with him.
"Alright uhm..." he dug through his side bag and found a few flat discs. "Some empty TMs!" he laughed, "These are perfect. I'll throw one and you attack it, okay? This will work on your aiming and help you learn how to hit moving targets better. Understood?" As the gecko nodded, he let fly a grayed out disc. Treecko clenched her little fists and using her tail as leverage, jumped up after it, blasting out a Dragonbreath. The disc went straight into the ground, gaining a few scorch marks and cracks in the process. It could probably take a few more before being destroyed completely. Kilik let out a whistle. "Impressive already, Treecko!" She landed on the ground and upon the compliment, hid her face in her large tail, obviously blushing.
-*-
"Voo eat is on im-be-sil cree-duel, too, baby." She said something else and he laughed, "Jay asspar kay sela fate tree mall all night long." With those last three words, he did a few pelvic thrusts. She sure could say some sexy things. At least, he figured the things she was saying were seductive and sexual. It sure sounded like it anyway. And when he was about to get his kiss, he felt a shock go through his entire system. Boy! She's an awesome kisser! was the last thought that ran through his mind before he completely blacked out.
When he finally came to, he felt himself strapped to a tree with Sasha sitting a few feet away. Mazarin looked around and noticed that his Pokeballs were detached from his belt and beside her as well. He could tell because he always marked the bottom of the ball with a crudely drawn version of his face. He could barely move his arms and hands, but his legs are pretty free to move around. "Look lady, you're either into some really kinky stuff, what with this rope and all." That was his hope, at least. "And maybe you like to have a little electrical play, too. I'm totally down with that. Nothin' like a car battery to the nipples, I always say. But when you start to mess with my Pokemon..." he began to struggle. "That's..." he grunted and moved around, "when it..GRAH...Gets...MMMPH...Personal!" He began to flail his legs around and scream at the top of his lungs. "Lemme down from here, you crazy b***h! Don't know why I wanted to bang you anyway!" He stomped his feet a few times into the dirt. Then an idea clicked in his mind.
"Say..." he looked up at her, "Lemme down from here, and I'll put in a good word with Wesker for ya! Head of the inter-regional police force T.E.A.M. I'm sure you've heard of us?" He began to struggle against the tree, panting heavily. I forgot that rope is thick and trees are heavy. Dammit.

Mitsu awoke with a start. She hadn't slept quite as well as she would have liked. Groaning, she pushed the blanket from her body and stood up, stretching a little. Her hair was disheveled and messy, it looked as if some wild Pokemon had attacked it while she slept. She ran her fingers through it, but to no avail. She looked over to the other side of the couch to see Kilik and his newborn Treecko missing. She yawned, figuring they were getting breakfast or training.
Scooping up her bag she entered the bathroom. She quickly fixed her hair and straighten out her clothing which had also gotten a bit wrinkled during her sleep. A mental note to change into her PJs when she slept was soon made. She brushed her teeth and washed her face and completed the typical morning routine before exiting to the cafeteria.
An ripe and juicy red apple and a blue berry muffin were selected from the cafeteria. She didn't quite feel like being cooped up in doors at the moment. The excitement she felt for Sinnoh was beginning to really get to her. The woosh of the sliding glass doors of the Pokemon Center let her outside. She quickly spotted Kilik and his Treecko. Not wanting to bother them she picked a quiet spot to sit and watch.
She idly selected Ivy's Pokeball from her belt, already use to the placement of her team. "Saur!" he cried, happy to be free from the confinement of the Pokeball, though Mitsu had always assumed that they were quite cozy inside. She handed him the apple which he more than gladly accepted. Ivy was, after all, a huge fan of fruit. Mitsu patted his head as he enjoyed the apple and she the muffin. The early morning air and light felt nice and she was glad to be outside.
