"Reid!" Ike snugged his friend quite hard. Goodness, how he'd missed happiness, "Hiya, Li-man. MUMMY! MISS CHAO AND REID AND LI-MAN ARE HERE TO SEE YOU!"
Who the Hell is Li-man? Stalker... Rabid thought, ever-weary of Vampires hunters and the like. She set her computer to print the rest of her pictures and shuffled to the door, not taking her eyes off the floor.
"It's Liam, actually..."
"Gods, Chao, who're you leading in...ohmygod..." her heart pounded horribly quickly and she clutched at her chest, fearing that it may burst. Her breath caught and she choked on nothing, her eyes horribly wide. She felt so many things...confusion, surprise, fear, joy...
"Uh...'ello, Rabid, m'luv," Liam looked up into his long-lost friend's eyes. Yeah...she didn't look like she was going to bit his face off, but one never knew with women...yeah, there he went. He started tearing up and sniveling like a little girl
"L'adrien!" Rabid shrieked Liam's technical name and lunged forward, hugging him as tightly as she possibly could. She was sobbing hysterically and didn't give a damn who saw.
Liam buried his face in Rabid's shoulder and sobbed, feeling quite ashamed of himself...crying in front of a girl and all. Oh well.
"Uh...Reid? Are they okay?"

"I'unno," Reid murmured, not quite sure if he liked the noises they were making. He watched on and clung slightly to Ike, worry increasing as he caught sight of Rabid's current state, she looked really sick....
Chao smiled slightly as the friends embrace, seemed like bringing Liam here had been the right thing to do. The teen manuvered herself off to the side, expression tinged with worry as she caught sight of Rabid's state as well. She knelt down next to the toddler's, "Ike, has your mum been...alright since we last saw you? Has she been acting weird?"

"Psh," Ike looked up to Miss Chao, his brow furrowed in concern, "She hasn't eated the red stuff in long time. Ever since Jul...an as-i-dent. She dun'n't sleep either. I watch her at nite 'cuz I'm worried but she dun know I do it. She had this big black thing in her hand, too, and told Ike to go away. Then she was yellin' "NO AM OH" or summat...and then she wuddn't stop cryin'..." He inhaled after his rant, feeling happier now that he could tell someone.

That...was worrying. What the hell had happened to cause that sort of reaction? The big black thing and starvation were most worrisome.
Sighing Chao smiled to Ike, "thanks for telling me Ike," she ruffled his hair fondly. She'd have to corner Rabid and ask her sometime soon, but... well, she wasn't about to interupt the two friends' moment so she just stayed silent, maybe Liam's return would help Rabid overcome whatever had happened.
Reid blinked and gave his friend a few pats on the back as he finished with his rant. It sounded like Ms. Mor'b really had been sick.

"Mmhm," Ike nodded, hoping that Miss Chao would do something. He didn't want to get Mummy angry at him.
Rabid finally coughed and pulled herself from Liam. "Gods, where have you been?!"
"Dead. From the looks of it, ye'are too."
"Naw...going through a rough patch. Oh my God...you're back...you're really back..." So it was noticible...
"Aye. I'm really back," Liam laughed, sniffling and wiping tears from his eyes with the back of his hand.
"Ah, Chao! You have no idea how much I love you now. Even more than before, even!" she laughed, feeling happy for the first time in weeks.

Chao gave Rabid a lopsided grin, "anything to make my wifey happy," the underlying meaning to her voice and the concerned look she gave her friend seemed to be something like 'wifey who has obviously been going through one hell of a rough patch and didn't want to tell me anything.'
She flopped so that she was actually sitting on the floor, "thank gods he wasn't just some random guy in the forest claiming to know you," she murmured aloud, though she'd pretty much nixed that option when he'd de-deadified himself via... her wait, he still had her knife....

Rabid gave Chao a pitiful look. She deserved what she was doing to herself...well, most of it. The attempt may have been a bit over the top...
Liam gave another zombie moan and looked down to Chao, smiling and sticking his tongue out at her. He could sense her worry, and that surely wasn't good.
"Err...Shorty?" Rabid peered down at Liam's bloodied, bulging pocket, "Is there a dead squirrel in your pocket, or did you just rupture a blood vessel?"
"Oh!" Liam reached down and removed the bloody knife from his pocket, cleaning it as best he could by wiping it on his shirt and handing it down to Chao, "Sorry about that, and very funny, Twiggy."
"What the...?"
"I told you. I was dead, luv."
She suddenly remembered the ritual Liam had pulled on the building's dog oh-so-many years ago. So he hadn't been kidding about the death thing...
"What happened?" She recieved no answer.

Chao returned Rabid's pitiful look with a concerned look of her own. Her eyes flicked to Liam and she couldn't help but crack a smile at the zombie moan and took the knife back with a light grin. The teen sheathed it and stuck it back in her boot, making a slight face as a bit of the blood ended up on her ankle anyway.
At the sudden understanding in Rabid's voice she looked up, quirking an eyebrow, "so you've done that ritual before?" There was nothing but honest curoisity in her voice.

Rabid sighed and leaned agains the door frame, squinching her eyes closed and rubbing her temples. She kept feeling woozy...as was to be expected when your body began absorbing its working blood to sustain itself.
"Yeah," Liam placed a hand on his best friend's back, suddenly catching onto what she was doing, "Back at the orphanage, some li'l jerkwad blugeoned the dog to death. It attacked 'im afterward, too." He gave a slight laugh at the memory, but his eyes continued flickering between Chao and Rabid...

"Aha," Chao nodded with a light nod, considering the turn around a good tactic as far as she was concerned. Glancing at Rabid the teen decided it would be much better if she left and let her friend lie down and chat her previously lost/deceased friend.
Brushing off her pants she hopped up and picked up Reid who'd begun to lean sleepily on Ike while listening to the adults, "well, I have done my duty and must be off," she threw Liam a look that plainly said, 'take care of her,' and, cradling her son she headed out the door, throwing a wave over her shoulder, an action that was mirrored by Reid.
"See you guys later!"

"Baibai, Reid! Ike see Reid later, kay?!"
"See yah, Chao. I'm okay. Really."
"Bye, Chao. Nice te meet you," Liam waved and smiled, nodding at her...kind of...un-verbal message. He waited until Chao disappeared before closing the door and looking seriously to Rabid, "We need to talk."

~A Necromancer's Plight~
William used his third eye to peer down at himself through unopening, translucent lids. He saw underdeveloped fingers twitching slowly...a large, round belly...and beneath that...GOD DAMN IT! Months and months all put to waste...again! Ever since he'd left his last infernal host, he'd had a horrible time of finding a male fetus of the same blood line.
With an angry kick and a sigh, he fled the child, amused to the point of laughter by the shriek the mother let go as he split through her abdomen. Ah, sweet, coppery blood.
He walked out to the street, the blood magically slouging off him. He took no delight in his adult state, though, as something was very obviously very horribly wrong.
"What the nine levels of Hell?" William lifted his hand to his face and found it emitting strange pitch-black vapors. His soul!
"BLOODY HELL!"
This could mean only one thing, if he was dissipating so quickly. The host he'd been feeding off of was alive again...but how?! The young man crossed his arms and closed his eyes. He had to find the boy...
He opened his eyes, staring into the cobblestone street of some horribly cheerful-looking city. A large arch loomed above him, and he could see some kind of mansion far off in the distance. Still emitting bits of soul, he stomped down the street.
"Oh, little guv, you are so dead...again..." he muttered, his light British accent disappearing completely in his anger.

~A Visit~ Chao rapped lightly on the door to Rabid's room, quietly contemplating just which excuse to use to explain the unannounced, to Rabid anyway, Liam had actually given the teen a call several minutes earlier, visit besides just coming straight and saying she'd been worried about the older woman's condition.
There was her son, but Reid was half-asleep on Chao's back, loosely hanging onto his mother's shoulders, not exactly looking as if he'd been desperate to see Ike. Oh-wait, Liam had her jacket, yes, that was a decent enough excuse.

Liam quickly leaped up and grabbed the door. He had her jacket clutched in his hand, having completely forgotten that she'd given it to him the day before. It was a legitimate excuse, right?
"Aye up, Chao?" Liam smiled to the girl, but made no move to hand over the jacket.
Rabid had been sitting on her bed moment before, petting her sleeping son's tail, but was now completely mobile and walking toward the door. She had more colour to her face now, but still didn't look so hot, she knew. Why in the world was someone here?
Ike sighed as Mummy left, curling into a tighter ball and swishing his tail in front of his face...which made him sneeze.

"Heya Liam," Chao replied with a smile, eyes flicking towards the jacket hopelessly. Dispite the formulated excuse she was never getting that back, was she? At least she didn't need it for the HQ. "How're you holding up?" she glanced over his shoulder, catching sight of Rabid, and smiled, relieved that the woman no longer looked ready for a cart filled with corpses. "Hey Rabid!"
At if in response from the sneeze from inside the room Reid wrinkled his nose and sneezed against Chao's neck, causing the teen to make a face, before sniffling and burying his head in his mother's hair, keeping one eye open and waving to Li-man.
