Elizabeth's mouth seemed to drop. "Chronos!? Is it really him over there! Oh my god i though he had died years ago! Oh my god!" She stood up quickly. "I have to go to him, I don't believe it!" Her body swooned from the movement of the helocopter and she fell back to her seat.

Chronos saw the captain was hurt... bad. His beak twisted into a dark smile. He moved to the phoenix in a swift movement, his mouth over the other's right wings, bitting down; His claws piercing the captain's back.

-Strider stood- "Say please." -Strider grabbed Elizabeth's shoulders- "Hold on." -A light shone around Elizabeth and Strider in a bright light they dissapeared. They reapeared below where the pheonixs were fighting-

Cher blinked as Elizabeth and Strider disappeared in front of her eyes. She rubbed them, but knew that that was a useless move. They were gone from the helicopter, and she figured that they were now where the two phoenixes were.

The captain fell back down to the ground, struggling under Chronos's weight and his attacks. He knew that he was finished when the other phoenix gained the advantage, and then when he saw the half-elf man appear with two others. He turned back to his human form, completely wounded. "He'll be waiting, Chronos." He was able to say, before he crushed the small cyanide pill lodged in his tooth, going into a twitching frenzy and then dying.

Chronos fell back, shocked. Did he really just kill himself? What a wimp. Chronos began to feel extreme pain, and let himself fall over, turning human. He'll be waiting... Chronos wasn't looking forward to that. He curled up in a ball, like he always did when he was in pain. He was unaware of the others.

Elizabeth was startled at how quick things had happened. She staired breathlessly at Chronos. She couldn't believe her eyes. She walked over to him, and fell on her knees beside him, watching him.

Cher sat back in her seat, not having anything to do now, really. The unconscious Keeper in the seat diagonally from her was snoring lightly. She fidgeted with her mechanical crossbow aimlessly, stretching it out as she did. It was nicely made, if by humans. She never used guns and preferred tp stick to bows, even if they were mechanical.

"He's dead." The female phoenix noted, with some satisfaction. "The captain?" She nodded. "Yes, crushed the capsule in his mouth." Echo shrugged as if he could care less, which he didn't. "Oh well, he wasn't going to last long anyway." He stood up and watched the town, or city, in front of him, listening to the screams and yells. Suddenly he laughed out loud in surprise, covering his mouth with a gloved hand. The phoenix watched him closely, feeling uneasy at his reaction. "What is it?" She asked tentatively. Echo shook his head, still laughing. "Nothing, it's nothing. Just something I plan to do." The phoenix watched him warily though, one could never be at ease around him, no matter how cheery he seemed.

-Strider went to the dead pheonix and touched it's temples and used his mind to trace all it's telepathic thoughts and they all went to a single entity. He used his own mind to speak to this person- "Hello there sorry for intrudeing but i'd like to relay a message. Tell your leader that i'm comeing. Tell you leader that Strider's comeing and nothing is going to stop me. That they shall not know a single day of peace until they are no longer a part of this world."

((Durn, this is going to ruin mah plans now...Or maybe not?))

The phoenix tensed up as she received an odd message. Through the dead captain's mind, no less. She told Echo about it. Echo turned his head to look at her over his shoulder. "And what does this message say?" The phoenix repeated the message. Echo frowned and nodded after a while, crossing his arms over his chest. "What does this "Strider" want I wonder?" The phoenix said aloud. "It's just another Keeper to begin with, and--""Silence." Echo cut her off in mid-sentence. "Take a small group with you to the last town we used as a base immediately." The phoenix opened her beak in surprise. "No questions. If this "Strider" is coming like he or she said, then he or she would be able to find the current position of this force through the link of you and the dead captain. Therefore, finding my position as well. So, no contacting me from now on until I'm sure of a safe location." Echo explained, then gestured to the burning town. The phoenix nodded and cut off her link with the dead captain, thinking to take it again when she reached the town from before. She took off and glided over to find a couple, then flew with them away from the whole group's area.

-Strider picked up the dead pheonix and put it over his shoulder- "Well come on. We can't stay here. I'll get him." -Strider also put the other pheonix over his shoulder- "Come on which way to base?"

"Oh..." Elizabeth looked around until she found a cut up tree. She examined it. "This way." She began to walk in the opposite direction.

"Okay." -Strider followed her thinking how he would find the pheonixs. He had no idea where they were-

Echo stood on the tree limb for a while until he got bored. He'd done all what needed to be done really, now he just wanted to kill some time before heading off on his own. It wasn't a bad plan, he thought to himself. He'd just thought of it a few moments ago but it did eliminate a couple of loopholes. Though that "Strider" figure didn't fit in, his old friend Chronos and the new Keeper leader sure did. He wondered how he'd react to it and laughed to himself.

Elizabeth stopped and checked another tree. She turned and after a few more minutes they came to a tunnel. "This will lead to one of the basements in the place. It should be the medical facility, so we can get Chronos help as soon as possible." She started down.

"Good. He may not look it but he's heavy." -Strider started down after her. Once he got to the base he would try to find somewhere he could cremate this captain so they could interogate him- "Hey do you guys have like a furnace or something so I could cremate this dead one? I think we could get some good info out of him."

Cher noticed that the Keeper's base was getting closer now. She hoped that Elizabeth and Strider were doing okay, wherever they had disappeared off to. She wanted to go and find them, but she her duty to the Keepers. Those supply boxes wouldn't unload themselves.

Echo wanted to leave then and there, he was a little impatient. But he didn't really know where the Keeper's base was, though he told his forces difefrently. But that and the fact that his advisor he'd sent off to the town from before could probably tell him the whereabouts of Chronos, gave him a slight disadvantage since that "Strider" was most likely in contact with his friend. He didn't want to take that chance quite yet.
The female phoenix that had set off landed in the town they had previously occupied, along with two other grumbling ones. It was as deserted as it had been when they left it, no one was around yet to investigate for survivors. She assumed that Echo would notify her when he thought it was safe enough for the mind-reader to come back. Her abilities were limitd to only phoenixes, or people who had some blood of them in their veins.

"I would think so." Elizabeth laughed. Chronos grunted, hearing what was being said. He was starting to become aware of where he was and who was around him. His pain was subsiding, but it was still strong.
