Keri put down the menu and was silent for a moment. "So this..."fish". It's not like meat, or fruit?" She asked. She hadn't known what fruit tasted like when she originally came to the surface, but the elves had let her try some.

"Well it is a type of meat just this meat isn't as strong. It's actually very good." -Strider put down his menu-

Keri nodded and watched the people of the town walk by. "I'm guessing that since fish lives in water, it'll be softer and have a water-like taste?"

Keri sniffed the air when the odd smell reached her nose. "If you say so, I'm not an expert." She said. The lobster looked like a crab-like fish, but longer and with a tail. In fact, it didn't really resemble a crab, or what she'd seen in her dark homeland, except for the red shell.

-They were already open so Strider took a fork and took a bit out and put it in his mouth- "Ahhh now that's food. You have no idea the kind of food I had to eat on my trvel here." -Strider took another bit and ate it-

"You're not from this town?" Keri asked curiously, picking up a fork. She stabbed the lobster experimentally before taking a bite. She blinked in surprise, she hadn't thought it would taste so good. The surface world was always amazing her with sharp contrasts like this. "This is good." She said, eating some more.

"No. I'm actually not from any town. I'm kinda a wanderer of sorts." -Strider rubbed the back of his head- "But I settle down every now and again." -Strider laughed as Keri ate- "Well i'm glad you like it."

Keri felt her face flush with heat and ate slower, embarrased. "I used to belong somewhere." Her eyes went distant and she shook her head to clear it. "But I found that that life wasn't for me. It just seemed..." She frowned. "...Wrong."

"Well my life wasn't wrong. More like I was banished from my life." -Strider took a few more bites- "Now tell me what do you plan on doing next? I mean I pretty much had to walk you through ordering food from a menu. So what next Keri?" -Strider stared her in the eyes-

"Uh, I don't really know..." Keri replied, poking her food absently. "I thought that I could just live in a cave somewhere..." Something came to her mind then, and gave Strider a curious look. "Did I tell you my name? I don't think I did, but I might've forgotten..."

-Strider cursed his powers of the mind- "No. No you didn't. I'm quite sorry I can't control my mind sometimes." -Strider rubbed the back of his head and laughed hopeing she'd dismiss it-

Keri nodded, figuring it was probably a spell of some sort. Those things weren't uncommon, she'd even cast a few before. And it was also likely that someone who was talking to her would be suspicious of her anyway. "It's fine. I just don't know your name." She said. "And considering that you've helped me this far, I'd like to know it."

"Well most people call me Strider. That should be enough for now." -Strider wiped his mouth and got up- "Well if you need me you can find me not to far outside of town inside a small cave i've taken residence up in. Until then, goodbye Keri." -Strider left the money for both their meals and left the restraunt-
