Eh? Well, yes I'm sure they do/have used that concept but honestly for the atheist who truly are irritated by religion or just believes in general, that comment should be something nice to hear. I never understood why people can be so harsh or vicious when discussing religion of any kind period. I mean, rather than have no faith and seeming to be a bit pessimist about people ir life why not take a change and put faith into something like God? I mean no one can take God away from you right? ^_^

The people of the pentecostal church, I went to, believed no one, not Satan, Budda, the lost puppy, or anyone; could take God's gift away from you... But, you could refuse it, or walk away from it. Even after you prayed for redemption and salvation, you can still walk away from those two gifts. Like a kid walks away from his christmas toy to go somewhere else. And it is that reason that Satan, puts so much "hell" into our lives. So we can turn away from the gifts.

Personally, I have yet to find that in the Bible, so I am a bit sceptical

That's true...and it's kinda sad but to each his own I suppose. Can make someone else DO something they don't want to do. It's when a person accepts God's gift or any gift for that matter that things will get better^^

(I'm so nervous I'm not making sense I really haven't talked religiously in a long time.)
Don't be, I will not judge. and we are all friends or friendly. The only way you can technically be wrong is if you said... 3+4=0... or something like that. If you would like we could do it differently...

And Satan has be pitching a perfect game this evening, the bottom of the ninth. The score is 0-0, and little Jonhson steps up to the plate... and the first pitch is as strike... the second... strike...wait what is this, Johnson is walking away from the plate and giving the bat up.... His replacement steps up to the plate... and the pitch... The crack of the bat and the ball is going going going...GONE!!! Satan's perfect game has been defeated by... Jesus Christ!! THE HOME TEAM WINS THE HOME TEAM WIN!!!

the things you remember most are those that are tied to an emotion. A positive experience will always bring positive emotions and a need to do it again. A negative can also bring the need to do it again, but only because you feel trapped.

Like I said before, we are all friendly here. Don't feel nervous about talking about anything. God, Cheese, Toe nails, hair color, the space shuttle.... why it is possible to divide by zero... It doesn't really matter. We might disagree, but we will do our best not to bring you down.

Though, I think we might want to move this conversation else where on the site... or Rob might have to yell at us...lol

Influential quotes (I have many):
Quote:

"...when I fall into the abyss, I go straight into it, head down and heels up, and I'm even pleased that I'm falling in such a humiliating position, and for me I find it beautiful. And so in that very shame I suddenly begin a hymn. Let me be cursed, let me be base and vile, but let me also kiss the hem of that garment in which my God is clothed; let me be following the devil at the same time, but still I am also your son, Lord, and I love you, and I feel a joy without which the world cannot stand and be."
--Fyodor Dostoyevsky, The Brothers Karamazov

Quote:
"In His unbounded love, God became what we are that He might make us what He is"
--Saint Irenaeus
