Great... Consciousness was slipping away from him by the moment, and there was nothing he could do to stop it. In fact, as the wooziness grew worse, so did his attempts at trying to draw out the poison. At least the pain disappeared... He thought faintly. No! What sort of solace was that...? He may have defeated the scorpions, but to succumb to the poison meant he had lost anyways! He can't, he can't... Even if he must struggle...he must stay conscious...

Not yet. He didn't want to die yet...there was so much more to do. And from mere poison? How would he be able to meet his mother in the eye, in the afterlife...? Ugh... It was no good, even as he struggled...he was quickly running out of strength... Shinratsu felt his vision blacking out, slowly... He didn't even register that in the distance, the body of the scorpion trapped in the ice had slowly started cracking - it was dead. This was unfair...his victory, and yet...

"I found him, I found him!"

Elruda's voice...?

"Jii-chan, hurry, he's poisoned!"

What a way to end life... Shin mused. And why her voice, of all people, that he hears in the end...? Wait a moment... His vision returned to light and Shinratsu opened his eyes. Large worried pale orbs... And then.

SMACK!

A handprint on his cheek.

"Are you stupid! Don't fight those things without antidotes!!" Elruda was screaming into his eardrums, accompanied by a shake or two. "Don't you dare go unconscious!"

DC to extract fat-tailed scorpion venom: 60 - (Chakra Control) 112

An orb of chakra was suspended above open palms, and it held poison floating in the center. "...that's quite a dosage..." Zephyr commented. How on earth was this child even able to last this long with this in his body... Sure it was baby scorpions, but really...

"Come, Elruda. Let's move him to the hospital."

"What...about...?" Shin managed to gasp out.

Zephyr laughed. "Haha. Did I say something earlier today?"

Shin groaned. "Never mind...just...take me back to the village..."

Not ill-naturedly, the Senju poked him in the forehead. "As you wish, Mr. I-can't-move-but-still-want-to-give-commands... Who knows, maybe you'll even be in the hospital for a couple of weeks...and learn from this foolishness."

He wanted to point out he stood his own ground well against those scorpions...

But Shin groaned, dreading the feeling that the Senju lord was probably right... Hospital: here he comes!

[Damage Post]

Nothing would be seen, of course. That was the nature of this jutsu. Only those who could see or sense chakra would know what was going on here and these creatures, being in a lust for blood, wouldn’t know what hit them. The shards of the stone would come flying out as piercing spikes from hell.

Being that they were so low level, the spikes would pierce into their shells no problem at all. Roy would grin a bit and looked to them for a long moment but he knew that wasn’t enough to kill them, all their vital organs and points of entry were missed. But this was getting boring quickly. Leaping on top of the closest scorpion, he awaited their attacks.

Just as predicted, in a fit of rage, the other 3 scorpions would move to attack him without paying attention to what he was on. Even the scorpion he was on would try to attack him with its tail.

The strength scorpion Roy was on began to buck a bit while trying to hit him.

Roy slipped and slid out of the way of these incoming pincers and tails. It was actually quite easy considering the size of the enemy attacks. He glanced up for a moment and grinned as he saw that several of the attacks missed him but struck their companion scorpion that Roy was standing on. He glanced down to see the damage done.

He looked down to see if the inspiration would take. To help it along, Roy began to move his hands quickly to form the jutsu for Magen: Narakumi no Jutsu and cast it upon the scorpion he was standing on.

The Genjutsu began to take root. Since the scorpion had seen it’s allies attacking it, the Genjutsu was very easy to plant. It was one to make him see his allies attacking him over and over again. This would enrage the scorpion and he would go on the offensive. Roy hopped off his ride and began to take off back up the side of the place watching as they would begin to tear each other part. What a pain this was.

[[New Weekly Roll. Again, since these events are relatively new, I will give you till the end of the day if you have already started the Scorpion event to finish it. If you haven't even started then tough.

Now, lets try to get one of the last 2 events available shall we?

1=Ore event
2=Acting event]]

2)Ore Rush
Apparently, not all the veins of ore and precious metal in the mountains were completely drained. Someone found a strong supply in one of the old abandoned mines on (insert mountain name). Everyone’s getting in on the cash...why aren't you?

Rules: Using an axe pick provided by the mining society, the user must mine for items. The user rolls 2 20 sided dice. The first one is to see how much further the wall can be pushed till it breaks. The user will have to do multiple rolls (in separate posts) to add up to the DC for that wall. Each post can have as many rolls as attack turns that character has.
The second one is to see what item you gain. Different items give different payouts. The user must go through 5 walls before they can say they are done. You can do up to 10 walls. The DC is comprised of 1D20 + str mod + 5(for pick axe).

Gennin DC - 20 + 5 for each new wall
Chunnin DC - 30 + 5 for each new wall
Jounin DC - 70 + 10 for each new wall
ANBU DC - 80 + 10 for each new wall
Kage DC - 120 + 20 for each new wall

The payouts for the 2nd D20 are as follows:

Odd numbers you gain nothing
2, 4, 6, 8: you get high grade coal = 5 Ryo
10, 12, 14: you get silver ore = 10 Ryo
16, 18: you get gold ore = 25 Ryo
20: you get a rough diamond = 50 Ryo

Other: *When you complete one wall and move to the next, any points OVER the DC for the last wall carry over.
*If you roll a 1 at ANY time on a wall, the wall 'collapses' and you must start again on another wall at that same DC but with no points accumulated.
*If you collapse 3 walls, you fail the event and get nothing.

Restrictions: No weapons, tools, Ninjutsu or Genjutsu

Special: *If the user forgoes using the pick axe and decides to use taijutsu instead, they must take a damage equal to str mod however, all rewards for this activity are increased by 1.5 times rounded up.
*If you run out of HP through this method, you fail the event and get nothing but you may try again but you have to start from scratch.
*You are allowed only 1 Rest post per 3 working posts.

The mines had normally been a point of avoidance for Shuiro and her brother. Too much metal for them. Normally this meant they could see better, in certian areas that is, but ther was always some sort of problem that tended to occur. Emitiing pulses of electricity constantly, Shuiro found that when her electricity magnitized certian metals that were found in places like mines, things on herself tended to get stuck... or pulled away for that matter. Today was a different day, however. She had removed from herself pretty much everything she had that was metal, except for her shinobi headband, and decided to see what all the commotion was about. The idea of making some money was tempting for her as well.

Next thing she knew, Shuiro was down in a dark mine with various others. She wandered various areas, touching the walls lightly, letting out a pulse every now and then to 'see' where she was going, and to possibly predict where she would find something worth money within the walls. She didn't even bother with the pick ax... What was the point? She could easily take down a wall or two with her fists. After all, she'd been trained well.

It only took a punch or two before the wall went crunbling down. A thick sliver inside produced something lovely... maybe. Coal, but high grade at that, was all she found so far. She pocketed it and moved on.

Letting pulses go, she followed her senses to another wall, one she believed to produce something useful. Now this is where things start to go wrong. Though she 'saw' that there was something she'd want, there were other types of metals and with her electric chakra pulsing, it magnified some of the magnetic pulls of other metals. Now the only metal on her was the headband... meaning her forehead when smack into the rock wall. I should have seen this comming... I know I should have... damn it all... She placed a hand on each side of the wall and pushed, but nothing. She was stuck. Sighing at her small dilema, Shuiro did the one thing a rash person like herself would do. She punched the wall. She figured she was going to do it anyways... why not make it for two reasons rather than one? Placing her left hand as close to her head as possible, to pull back as fast as she could upon impact, she pulled back her right fist and shoved it as far into the wall as she could.

The wall cracked and crumbled around the fist that was imbedded into it, and though her head was free from the wall, she was still trying to resist being sucked back towards it. The only thing that lightened her annoyance was seeing the slight glimmer of silver ore in the dim torch light. ATleast she'd gotten something out of it besides a blooming headache.

( -_-;;; what a waste of a perfect 20...)

Sighing again, as the magnetic pull was making her headache worse, she did the one thing she figured she could do. She shut her pulse off. Normally this wasn't a problem, for a second or two, but for her... well, let's just say she didn't like doing it. It plunged her into almost complete darkness, not that she wasn't before, but now all she had was her eyes to see... and they sucked. Without her pulse etching things out in nearly perfect detail, the world around her was soft and blurred. Everthing was always mushed together, and there was some loss in the sense of depth. What was worse was that her eyes had adjusted to the darkness before, so even the dim torch light hurt her. Glancing away, she removed her headband from her forehead and shoved it into her pocket. She couldn't feel the magnetic pull anymore... and she enjoyed this, however she knew the price of it if she were to keep it up. What's worth it? To be utterly blind, but be able to get work done at a faster pace without the headache, or... suck it in, take the head ache, and the magnetism, and be able to actually see what I'm doing. She mulled it over for a bit and she pounded the wall before her. She figured as long as she was careful, she'd be fine without sight... It would be like a type of training for her. Smiling at this though, she had made up her mind. Now all she had to do was collect what she had dug up from the walls and move on once more.

The sting in her hands, centered around the knuckles and flowed, achingly, all the way up to her shoulders. In the back of her mind she wondered why the heck she would even want to try something like this... and then a little voice in her head yelled at the top of it's little lungs, "Money baby!" She rubbed her knuckles warily and listened to the echoes of her feel down the tunnels. She wondered what it was like for the minors back in the day where they spent days, wekks, and even months at a time down in these dirty holes... I wonder if they became sensitive to the light... living in such a dark place all the time...? Pondering this ever so slightly, she struck at the walls again. The wall cracked and crumbles, pebbles rolling off the rough walls and onto the packed-in earth floor. The fire from the torch cast her long, dark shadow over the ore she'd found inside. She wasn't sure what it was yet, but she would soon find out... when she got back outside anyways. She was starting to long for fresh air.

Feeling around the mine walls with her hand guiding the way, she ran into, more or less anyways, a wall that seemed to have been worked on by one or two others before. She touched around a place or two and found that the wall had already been weakened considerably... It would be child's play for her to knock it down, or so she hoped. Pulling back her fist, she let it slam into the the worn rock and felt as it crumbled... random specks and crumbs of rock splattered all over the place... all that she found of use was more coal. She only knew it was coal, however, from it's texture... as she had collected some of it not long before now. Flexing her fingers, she waited for the sting to disappear, atleast somewhat, before she would try to punch another wall.

Feeling that the air was a bit clearer, after the dist had settled back to the ground, she flexed her bandaged fingers once more before letting loose and pounding into the space next to where she'd found the coal. Chances were there might be more... if the vein ran deep enough, or long enough. Cuncks of rock rolled out of the walls, as well as a couple of smaller ones dropping from the cieling, making distinct clincks against eachother. Felling around she was somewhat disappointed to realize that there really was nothing there to take. What wasted effort... Oh well, atleast I know there isn't anything there, rather than passing it by and there actually being something valuable hidden inside. Brushing the dirt and rubble off of her shoulders, head and chest, she continued to make her way through the mine...
