Vergil paused for a moment. "Because I think I might be a bad fox underneath it all." He breathed a sigh of relief thankful he didn't tell her that he was starting to take a liking to her. He was supposed to be a mean fox. Normally he would tend to chase anyone away from him yet this one chose to stay by him even though he had shown her parts of him that were not so great. Why was it? Vergil sighed again looking down. "Well why don't you mind hanging around me?"

Teithi woke again in the morning, looking over to see the beautiful foxover to the side of him. He smiled over at him, barely resisting the urge to wake her. He stood quietly and walked over to the windows, looking over the grounds of the mansion. He watched the other animals in the yard for a few minutes, but then directed his attention back to Karin. She confused him, because she was so kind. He was not used to that kind of fox, but was glad to have met her.

"My name is Teithi," he said, looking over at the woman cautiously. He let her pick him up and check his paw, although he was worried about it the entire time. He was still a little tired, but was doing much better now. He let her examine him, and got down happily when she was finished. He walked over to Karin, and said, "Is that all, can I leave the infirmary yet?" He was starting to get a little antsy again because he was not used to being in one place for long.

Karin gave a little laugh. "Yeah, you can leave the infirmiry now. But take care to be gentle on that paw and don't do too much walking else you hurt the injury. You don't want to have to come back here?" Karin stretched and went to push open the door for him. "Would you like a tour? Or would you like to go outside and get a bit of fresh air?" she asked.

Pumpkin just smiled at him. She really liked talking to him as he was an interesting fox. "I am not sure why you are judging my reactions. There is no need to do so in my knowledge. What is it that you are searching for? Perhaps asking may help but then again I may not be able to answer. Such is life, it seems to me, to be full of uncertainties."

Pumpkin blushed and smiled as she caught the tail-end of his. She walked up to him and smiled as she rubbed her head against his in an unusually revealing and emotional way. She stepped back. "I guess it is a good thing that I like you too. But I am not sure where that leaves us at all. What do you want?" she asked, trying to beat down the hope inside her as she did not want to be disappointed.

"I would love a tour, and then maybe some air a little later-like after some kind of food?" he said, his stomach growling. He looked down sheepishly, he could not believe how hungry he was. He looked at her and smiled, and then sat as he waited for her to lead the way. Then, he stood again and followed her as she walked out of the infirmary into a long hallway.

Pumpkin blinked and blushed. His words were kind of jumbled up and not grammatically correct but she caught his meaning. She gave him a small smile, "Well, that is good, because I believe that my like is like your like and really means love as well. But we do live in seperate places and there are so many things to consider. But I would like it if you wanted to spend your life with me. I kind of want you to stay here with me." Pumpkin was embarrassed and walked back to the window, unable to continue.

Karin led the way to the kitchen first then turned towards him as she pawed open the fridge door. "Would you like some of the fish, or do you see something in here that you would rather have?" she asked, pulling out the fish for herself and waiting for his answer.
