Upon hearing the newcomer in the entranceway, Okaa-san motioned gently to the maid.
"Mikako, would you mind please showing the new girl to the maid quarters and getting her set up? When you are done, please come back here and do bring her with you."

"Hello Iyasu-chan." She smiled at the young girl before answering mothers question. "Well, since Sayuri-chan has left and become a geisha, i happen to be little sister-less! I am so proud of her though, did you hear she recently took on her first little sister?"

Okaa-san nodded and sipped her tea. "I have heard she is doing very well, building a support network of her own. I can understand why you are so proud."
" We seem to have quite the shortage of geisha at the moment. You really should be thinking of taking at least a couple more younger sisters!" Okaa-san chided the geisha lightly, smiling. "Perhaps there are a couple girls from our own okiya that you think you may be able to transform from duckies to swans, yes? Ha ha!"
Gi barked on her lap, thumping her tail at her mistress's laughter.

Mameo walks into the room where Kyoku was and realizing that they were having a private conversation, she bowed so that her nose almost touched the floor and said, "Forgive me, onee-chan, I shall depart."

Looks up hesitently at hearing a voice talking about her, the new comer. Mikako? Sadayakko looked around subtley for the one who answered to that name. She was scared being in a new place, and so afraid of doing something wrong. Especially the thought of doing something wrong in front of Okaa-sam. She knew she would have nightmares about that.

Iyasu placed her empty tea down onto the table and smiled back to Kyoku. As she listened to the conversation of Mother and the only geisha in the okiya, she pondered on when Kyoku might take on another apprentice (or apprentices) again. She may want to have some down time before she decides to guide another young one once more. The maiko shrugged and continued to listen intently to the conversation.

Kikaru glanced at Yokome for a moment, no one had offered to be her older sister either. She took another sip of her tea, set the cup down and rested her hands neatly in her lap.

Mikako bowed her head and stood up, gesturing for the new maid to follow her. She shut the screen door gently behind them both.
"Follow me please." she said quietly, leading the new irl down the hall. she showed her the large room where all the maids slept. You can have a mat here with me. You can place your things on the ground, we will deal with them later. what was your name?"

The conversation in the room downstairs had quieted and most of the geisha and maiko had left. Yokome excused herself from the table, and walked up the two flights of stairs to her room. She let herself fall onto the futon. She was exhausted, she then looked at the celing...just thinking about life.

Sadayakko quietly followed Mikako, wondering if all maids were so quiet.
Out of the corner of her eye, Sadayakko looked at the surroundings, trying her best not to stare. "Thank you," she murmured. She knelt and placed her things neatly on the ground. "I am called Sadayakko." She gave a small, hesitant smile.

Yokome got up and walked around the okiya saying, 'A new salon for geisha and maiko has opened up. You all should go visit it because I recently took on being the shop keeper because of my skills with the various hairstyles' ((You can find it in the Geisha Town Quarters))

"I do hope that this salon will not take away from your duties as a maiko, Yokome. You will, of course, make sure that you finish everything you are supposed to each day." Okaa-san petted Gi as she made sure the maiko would not be losing money for the okiya.

'Don't fret Mother, I am devoted to this okiya more than the salon. ((I am rping as a seprate character there plus I am getting paid for my maiko debts)) I am getting paid at the salon so most of it will go to the okiya.' She said giving a bow.

Seikeida walks in unnoticed and at once loves the place. " Ummmm h..h..hello. Seikeida puts her two small bags down near the door, takes off her shoes and starts exploring her new home. 1st post
