"I can know better than you do." she replied with a small smirk, tapping her right index finger to her temple. Allowing her expression to slip into blankness, she watches the Dark Knight for a few moments further. As his aura settled about him, it seemed he was only being himself, not trying to be overly malicious. Shrugging, she simply leaves it at that. "Nothing personal, but it seems you could really use a bit of loosening up...." she tells him before turning away and returning to the small group that had formed with the mix-match of factions. The captain returned to stand at Jin's side, falling back into an invisible lounge chair as she levitated herself off the ground. "So how exactly is this going down, Jin?" she asks, settling into a more casual conversation style with the other captain present. "Any news from Mister Anti-Social and Mister I'm-Gonna-Rip-Your-Guts-Out?"

(Notes: Mori is currently very pregnant, towards the end of her second trimester, but doesn't know it, she just thinks she's sick. Puck wants her to see a healer, she's refusing and hiding the fact she's sick from everyone... Puck only knows cause he caught her in a moment of morning sickness... I think that's it... She isn't appearing now, I'll wait for Sage to introduce Jon first. And Puck is still Puck, just more aware of his attraction to Anlu. All the updates I have for now, I'm not touching profiles till after the wedding.)
Thoroughly disgruntled and annoyed with his aunt, Puck stalked on to the beach, struggling against the urge to shift into his human form when he caught Anlu's scent. The years had been too kind on the girl and downright cruel to his control. It was better for all involved that he stay in an animal form around her. Picking his way carefully down to where the group was gathered, he flopped down on his belly with a sigh. Captain, you are going to lose a Strider soon if you do not talk sense into a silly aunt of mine, he said conversationally, She and Jon will be around later, and she is not listening to me. My temper is fraying.

Anlu didn't see him at first, but out of the corner of her eyes she saw a very familiar black blurr approach the Captain. Turning her floating self around, she couldn't help but wave. "Puck! Over here!" Overly excited, as usual, ANlu had gotten considerably more pery over the last few years. A lot less wopries about family matters as well. Her main concern nowadays was her comerades... especially one in particular... Took you long enough to get here. How's Mori doing?

Still trying to deny the fact she is sick, even though she cannot keep anything but the most mild food and teas down most days, he informed Anlu, growling under his breath as his annoyance grew, She will not tell Jon, but I think he guesses something is wrong through the mind link, she will not see a healer, she will not stay in bed and rest rather than join this hair-brained mission... Whining now, he looked at Anlu with sad puppy eyes, I would have you talk sense to her, but you are not suppose to know she is ill, she promised me to secrecy. This is where having an aunt who is younger than you was a distinct disadvantage, Puck decided. He had no authority to shove her at a healer for her own good.

Anlu looked at him sympathetically. Well, she never told me to be secretive about it. Another smile lit up her face as she looked over at Yata, knowing he would hear her thoughts. Would youmind, somehow, getting Mori to see a doctor or something? She's sick and shouldn't be moving around much. Yata was like a father to Mori, so Anlu was sure he'd be able to get to her... if the Captain didn't first. Turning back to Puck, she motioned for him to join her where she was, extending an arm out to him.

Raigon smiled and swept the little Anlu up in his arms and jumped into the air about twenty feet up intot he air and used his psychic powers to hold himself up along with her. "And who is this that is aproaching." Raigon said this in a teasing manor.

Anlu almost yelped, but covered it with laughter before looking up at Raigon with the same puting puppy face. "A friend," she said innocently. What she spoke was indeed true, for Puck was a good friend of hers... however, perhaps more than that? She glanced down below her to see Puck only as a smaller blur than before. What was he feeling about this?

Puck scowled and snarled at the stranger teasing his Anlu. Wait, his? Burying the possessive thought as soon as it reared its head before he said anything stupid, he growled and grumbled before lying his head down on his paws, eying the stranger with anger and envy alike. He wanted to be close to her, Nayru quote it, but he couldn't... Could he...? She never made any signals he could read, so he was left in limbo.

Being called "little one" and "kitten" for the past three years, ANlu didn't seem to mind it all too much anymore. Upon landing on her feet, however, she gave Raigon a quick smile and knelt down by Puck, scratching behind his ears like she always did. Turning back to the wolf-man, she introduced them. "Raigon, this is Puck of the Xerian clan and a fellow Strider. Puck, this is Raigon, another Strider, and I'd assume an old friend of Yata's?" She smiled up nat them again, despite her now lack of levitating that she had so easily pouted for. Are you alright Puck?

Raigon noded his head rembering. "Me and Yata were among the first Striders in this faction besides the captain herself." Raigon noded if he was remberen right Yata and him had joined the dawn striders around the same time. Raigon had a big smile on his face as he rembered the old days. "So yes me and Yata are brothers and close friends. Although not blood related obviously." Raigon let a howling laugh.

You'd think a being like Vergil would have a little trouble bending in, but Vergil had learned that if you didn't make loud noises or move in a threatening manner Mortals usually left you alone. It'd slipped into the situation just after the Half Demon Puck had, following him to Anlu's location from the blind Woman's home. Its only close living friend was currently positioned with uncomfortable proximity to a fire, which the puppet was too wary of to approach. It had no desire to be a log. Instead it simply watched with a grim fascination at the potential trainwreck that was unfolding before it. Vergil couldn't mind read with half the accuracy of Puck, most likely, as others had determined, because the it simply didn't have the same mental functionality of most mortals, despite the puppet's "life." But it knew enough to get by, and over the 2 years since Vergil met his friend Anlu and his... (cautious acquaintance?)... Puck, it'd witnessed its fair share of flirting.
Hey, you gotta give it to Vergil. For what should be an inanimate object, it sure payed close attention.
While it knew and cared very little about romantic pursuits, it did however have a veswted interest in keeping his good friend happy. Tentatively, it reached out with its psionic powers and gently "tapped" on the back of Anlu's mind. It conveyed the message that it was present, and was willing to help in any way it could.

Glancing over at Puck, the captain shrugs to his message. It seemed that many of her Striders were beginning to gather, though it seemed to be the more the merrier. At eh mention of Jon and Mori, the face of another flashed through her mind, though she kept such to herself. Catching another present further back, the captain turned to look. She knew this Strider of course, but she hadn't been formally introduced as was usual. Waving her hand in greeting to the puppet, she doesnt bother to wonder why he doesn't come closer. Fire plus wooden puppet meant bad news for the puppet. Mentally shrugging, she shifted in the air, watching her Striders with more than a tad of amusement.

Jon walked at a slight pace moving towards the group. He seemed content and at peace as he usually was though it seemed that there was something nagging him in the back of his mind though. What it was he could not be quite certain of. It was as if there was some veil shrouding knowledge that was just at his fingertips. It didn't matter though. Very little had changed about Jon over the past two years. His hair was slightly shaggier and the pieces that he wore for protection were a little more scuffed. There was a new scar under his shirt along his rib cage from one outing. The ring he wore on his left hand though was still well polished and kept up with despite other things. Around his neck hung a piece of leather with the key to his special poison cabinet on it between his shirt and chest. He had grown a little more comfortable with the tattoos scrawled around his neck and chest and aloud most of them to be seen. Soon enough though he was with the growing crowd.

Following her husband at a slower pace, Mori took in the large group with amusement. The red fabric of her dress caught the light occasionally from where it fluttered down to her upper thighs under her usual black corset and over black leggings tucked into her familiar black boots, the sleeves and collar of the dress leaving many of her markings exposed. The twin garnets set on opposite sides of the larger one at the hollow of her throat also caught the light occasionally, as did the burgundy combs set at the base of the braided bun she kept her hair in. She had matured physically, and it showed, the gangly, coltish look gone and replaced with streamlined elegance and curves. Her wedding ring was obviously well cared for, despite her habit of twisting it when she was nervous. Only someone who was really paying attention would see the slightly drawn look to her features, as if she had something hidden that was weighing her down. Still obviously shy, she hid slightly behind Jon as she caught sight of some strangers, or those she hadn't seen in a while.
Puck growled low in his throat at this one named Raigon, though Anlu's attention to his ears calmed him some. Her warmth and scent had become a great comfort to him over the years. However, he glared at his aunt as soon as she came into sight, his ears laying back. You are in a land of healers, you should see one of them, he scolded in way of greeting, knowing she would not be happy with him since Jon would probably pick up on his mental warning, You have been sick for what is it, one month now? Two? That is long enough to cause real worry, aunt of mine. And do not glare at me, you should have told your mate weeks ago.
She was glaring at him, alright. Puck had been harping at her about being ill for ages now. Her eyes narrowed, the pupils still feline slits from the dark, and mentally hissed at him, I'm fine, leave me alone. It's getting better. Okay, that was a half-lie, and she knew he caught it when he snorted in disbelief. It wasn't as bad as it had been a few weeks ago, that was certain, but she still had problems keeping food down, especially in the mornings. She didn't want to worry Jon, she had caused enough problems for him when they were just getting to know each other and she had been trying to be his equal since they were married. Being ill was just a sign she had been careless somewhere, and she didn't want to worry him when she would be getting over it soon...no matter that she thought she would be over it by now.
