Marisella sat down in the chair and placed her small black bag ontop of her lap. "Thank you, I'm Marisella Vivoide", she smiled. Then reaching inside of her bag she took out the envelope she recieved and handed it to Miss Annabelle.

"Ah, thank you." Anna read it over a few times to get the gist of her guest. "Lovely! Now, I'll have to go over some nitty-gritty details before unleashing you unto the campus, Marisella. But first, would you like some tea?"
It was becoming a customary gesture for her to offer tea to all her guests as they spoke.

"Oh, no thank you, I'm fine", Marisella shook her head and placed her hands folded on her lap.

Annabelle nodded sweetly and began the somewhat lengthy process of explaining the does and don'ts of the Grove. "Alright! Well, first things first. On campus, there is a Gatehouse. Please, do not go near or inside, for your own safety." As she illustrated that little tidbit, Anna dug around inside her desk drawer for Marisella's packet. Once she brought it out, she handed it right to her.
"You'll also see on your map the dorms. Keystone students enjoy their privacy, so please, extend them that courtesy while you're here. You'll be staying in the Maple Dorms, room 106. Oak dorms are for the young lads who also enjoy having their space." Anna stopped, just in case her guest had any questions. There was still a bit more to cover before she could leave.

Marisella reached for the packet and looked at it for a second before putting it on her lap. Nodding her head she said, "Alright". She was already starting to get a little restless, not used to be around different people for a long time. Not thinking of any questions she waited for her to continue.

Seeing she had consent to continue, she did so. "Your room key is in your packet. There is the town of Moline, which you may visit to gather your uniforms and anything else you may need to start the year." Anna stopped, rethinking everything to make sure nothing had been forgotten.
"I believe that's it, Marisella. Welcome to the Academy!" Anna beamed at bringing in another student successfully through the doors. With a flick of her wrist, she tucked a strand of hair behind her elven ear. If Marisella wasn't a believer of fairy tales, her life was about to change drastically.

"Okay then, is it alright if I go after this, so that I can hurry and get the things I need?", Marisella asked. Then watching Annabelle, her head tilted in a confusing way staring at her ear. Huh...?, she thought to herself. Not wanting to be ruse and ask questions she shook her head and stood up grabbing her things. "Well then, thank you so much", she smiled and stuck her hand out to Anna.

"Of course you can. It's actually encouraged that you get everything sorted out so you can start adjusting to your new environment." Anna didn't want to risk calling it her home if the girl truly didn't feel that way about the Grove.
Taking her new student's hand firmly in hers, Anna gave her a reassuring smile. "Once again, Welcome to the Grove. Im sure you'll enjoy yourself here!"

"Alright", Marisella continued to smiled and turned around to leave the office. "Thank you again", she said as she closed the door behind her. Sighing she closed her eyes and pulled out the map, searching for her room. Finding it, she started to head towards it and sighed thinking, Well gotta start new here...

Her knuckles rapped on the hardwood of the principles door before she let them drop back to her side. Awkwardly shifting her weight, MaryAnne switched her bag to her other hand and fingered nervously at the small half-round of glass that hung between her collarbones on a fine silver chain. A faint green swirl ran through the glass, twisting about a trail of granule ash as if the two were frozen while they spun about each-other in a current of water. The blond drew in a deep, cleansing breath, and pulled out the letter she'd received from the Academy, hoping she would seem more prepared with it out and ready. First impressions were everything and with her luck, this would be another great failure at such, but she would make her best attempt, driving negative and distracting thoughts out of her mind, not to fall on her face. "You can do this, MaryAnne," she told herself, hoping she didn't look like a lunatic, talking to herself.

Hearing yet another knock on the door was a bit of a surprise. Things had been so quiet for a few days that Anna had almost grown used to the silence, but she happily bid it good-bye. It was truly time she start earning her keep with a good day of real work.
The elf stood up from her chair with a fluid grace, and strode over to the door. Even before it was fully opened, she was giving out a warm welcome. "Hello, hello!" she said, her brown eyes, the color of a mourning dove, meeting those of her guest. "Come right in!" Anna moved aside, already sensing out the race of the young woman. An angel, that's what her senses told her.

MaryAnne's shoulders stiffened slightly but she plastered a smile on her face and looked up to the older woman warmly, blue eyes nervous and a bit wary, but excited. She quickly stepped inside the office and extended a hand to the other female in greeting; it was shaking, but just barely. "Hello, I'm MaryAnne Lightburn. It's an honor to be here and meet you today. Thank you for seeing me."

"My, what lovely manners you have," Anna said, taking her guest's hand in a gentle shake. Letting her hand drop and fall into a sweeping gesture, she ushered MaryAnne into a chair.
Of course, before they could get started, Anna had to display the proper hospitality. No one had ever come into her office hungry and left in the same state. "Would you care for some tea? Cookies?"

"Thank you," MaryAnne smiled, placing her bag at the foot of the chair and sweeping her hands under her rear, gathering her skirt as she sat. Placing the letting on her lap, she folded her hands over it. At the offer, her stomach rumbled in the most atrocious manner, causing blush to sweep over her features. "Ye-yes please," her voice was a faint squeek. Her eyes shut tightly, her head bowing. How could she be so rude?! This is business, not snack time! But she hadn't had time to make herself breakfast and forgotten all about lunch...

Anna's delicate ears couldn't have missed the rumble of the girl's stomach. The sound immediately made her want to giggle, though seeing the blush rise to her guest's cheeks, Anna stopped herself from showing her amusement.
"Goodness, yes, we need to get something in you," she said, walking over to her shelf of tea cups. She chose a nice, fine one, with a forget-me-not design on the cup and saucer. It seemed to suit MaryAnne, so she thought.
"Feel free to stay for as long as it takes to feel better. Or you could stop by in Moline, at the Inn, for a lovely breakfast." Anna went from her shelf to the small water cooler, placed the cup under the red tab, and filled it with filtered hot water. "I just came from there myself, just this morning. Lovely place, really." Anna smiled and hummed as she brought MaryAnne the cup. On her desk lay the small tea chest, unmoved from that morning. With a little bit of ceremony, Anna lifted the lid and presented her guest with a fine assortment of individually packaged tea bags.
"Feel free to choose whatever you like," she said.
