"Okay then. Ban-" A wind picked up and spiraled around Thanatos and his body started to ignite in blue fire. "-Kai!" Thanatos body was completely burned away and a dust formed of what was left of him. The dust formed on the ground as a skull and the same blue fire that burned away his body ignited in the eye sockets. His skull floated up and a cloak formed, followed by a scythe, and lastly a body made of the same blue fire in his eyes. The blue fire was espers, a type of spirit that can combine with other espers to do certain things. Thanatos skull spun around as he grabbed the scythe and he floated towards Yamoto. He had no legs, and like a ghost his body was cut off at the hips and went down into a single tailish thing. Thanatos faded and appeared behind Yamoto slashing his scythe.

Thanatos dissapeared again and appeared above Yamoto. Espers rotated along the scythe creating a chainsaw like blade. "Let's keep going then.~" Thanatos said in his raspy skeletal voice. He shot downwards the scythe trailing behind him, leaving a glowing blue trail of its movement, and at the last second Thanatos spun sending the scythe at Yamoto. "Show me your bankai!~" Thanatos stopped the spin infront of Yamoto and pointed his hand out in one quick motion. The espers flew off of the scythe and combined in his hand making a pulsating blue ball of fire. "Esper Fire.~" The ball shot out towards Yamoto and burned the grass and singed the dirt below it.

The 'demon' raises his hand and the hado is absorbed. His ghostly body tingles with the attack but shows no other signs of anything just happening. Thanatos reverts from bankai and walks over to Sho, his attack on Yamoto fading instantly "Hi, Im Thanatos, your 3rd seat. I guess Yamoto promised to teach you, so I'll let him train ya before I fight him again." Thanatos grinned as he gripped Sho's shoulder tightly and whispered in his ear, "If you see someone in danger, never go with kidou. Your in the Hand to Hand squad now. Show some physical techniques." And with that Thanatos released his shoulder and gave Yamoto a wave as he walked out.

Yamoto unphased by anything walks over to Sho. "Alright let work on a basic Hakuda move." Yamoto puts his finger to the ground and closes his eyes for a moment. Suddenly a large rock about 20 feet high and 10 in width appears before him. "Alright by the the end of the day you will be able to cut this in half with your hand."

Yamoto laughs at Sho's statement. "Sho I was never in any danger, if I had wanted I could have killed Thanatos right then and there. Just so you won't forget I am considered to be a captain level shinigami. Hell I even trained some of the people who are captain's right now. Get this through you head I was never I any danger at all. You job isn't to protect me, it is to protect the squad and it's member, but first you need to learn how to protect yourself if you ever lose your sword." Yamoto holds his right hand and begins to wave it around. "You see squad 7 main purpose is to teach it's members how to fight without a zanpakuto. My job is to help you turn this." Yamoto points his left index finger at his right hand. "Into that." Yamoto points his left index finger at Sho's zanpakuto. "You say we are turning a big rock into smaller rock, no no that would just be brute strength which is also a good thing to have in this squad, but what this training does is metaphorically turn you hands into blades. Let me give an example." Yamoto walks over to the nearest tree, it was a fairly good said cherry blossum tree about 10 feet in height and 5 feet in width. "I kinda feel bad for cutting you down, but don't worry I plant another in your stead." Yamoto raises his right hand and brings it down towards the tree, instantly his hands was on the other side of the trunk as if Yamoto had sliced his hand at nothing but air.

The two halves of the seperate, the top sliding off the bottom in a diagonal direction. "You see not splinter, no signs that anyforce was made, the same result would happen if I took my zanpakuto to another tree. No one could tell the difference. Well I take that back most upper ranks could espically Captain Bullene and Myself, but I am getting of topic. Sho this is one of the primary technique you will learn in squad 7, it has been given the rather clever name of Knife Hand."

"Send your reiatsu to your dominant hand, then glently grind the reiatsu into a fine sharp blade." Truthfully this was much harder then Yamoto discribed, if done wrong the reiatsu could cutthe user itself. "Please be carefull don't push it."

Saying nothing Yamoto points to the rock towering over them. "Cut it if you can"
