Akechi chuckled and followed Bryant. Yay for one liners. Add another line to make it a three-liner and seem important.
Go.

arrow North Fields
A figure dramatically ran in from nearby. His scarf was dramatically waving behind him in the cold winds. The man was wearing a full suit of armour, not a single bit of flesh was exposed, and even if it could be there just seemed to be darkness. Strangely enough the man was strapped with more martial weapons than any one person should carry.
Strangely enough he had to stop to catch his breath.
"One... Second... Champions... I just... Ran... A bunch... Of threads... Very... Quickly..."

Valkyarc found himself at what looked like a junkyard that was blown apart by a war. Pieces of metal everywhere sticking out and about and there didn't seem to be much life. He treaded carefully forward with his crystal staff still in hand, pulling it up to lay horizontal. The quiet district gave him a bad feeling.

"You there!"
A voice would come out of nowhere shouting at Valkyarc.
"Are you one of the brave warriors that have come onto this city?"
What he would be faced with was a fellow in a full suit of plate mail.

Valkyarc turned his head surprised at the man shouting, turning towards him.
"Brave? I'm not so sure about that. I'm just a humble fellow doing what I can." Valkyarc replied smiling once again. "Oh, nice armor. "

"How unfortunate." The man in the armour proclaimed, "I am looking for brave warriors to test my steel against! Perhaps someday your humble beginnings will allow you to don such fine armour as this!"
He made a dramatic gesture.
"But if you are not a worthy fighter for whom witch to fight! I will not waste the time of both you and I!"

"I hope so. I wouldn't mind such armor." Valkyarc complimented, tilting his head as he smiled. Something else came to mind though, as he figured someone with that much armor wouldn't be taking a stroll like this. His attitude suggested an agressive mind was behind that armor. Valkyarc decided to ask him a question. "You know, would you mind me asking if you were over at the water plant not too long ago?"

"The Water plant?" He paused to think, "Unless that was the place filled with the men who challenged me, then yes, yes I was! Unfortunately their skill did not match their own boasts."
"Why do you ask?"

Valkyarc's smile turned into a frown as he sighed. And I thought this job was going to be easy, he thought. He then pulled out a small communicator he had been given from the meeting and placed it next to his lips.
"Attention all Greywater employees. The man who tore through the Greywater base at the water plant has resided within the district of steel. This is an alert for all not bound by a fight to come to the district and resolve the issue." Valkyarc placed the communicator back into his robe and smiled again before responding to the armored bloke.
"Your destruction was quite impressive against those weaklings," Valkyarc paused to reposition his staff with his left arm, "but was completely unnecessary--"
Whoosh!
Valkyarc burst forward thrusting his crystal staff straight towards the center chest of the armored warrior with enough Krysterian strength to blow him backwards. He knew he couldn't pierce such armor, going with the idea of knocking the man off-balance as he stood there with his left arm holding his staff and his right reaching into his black pouch.
"I shall amuse you until the others arrive." He then said, eyes sharpened into the look of a soldier and a mirage of heat rising from his body.

"Ah-ha!" It was a clean hit and the armoured fellow stumbled back a few paces, "A dastardly trick to catch me off guard I see. Well then! A fight you shall have!"
The first problem was getting his grounding back, something, considering he was a man in armour, he did fairly well. In fact the astute observer would note whole suit bent in a few ways that shouldn't be possible without breaking bone and crushing flesh. man went for a longsword at his hip with his right hand and the shield at his back with his left. Putting the shield between himself and Valkyarc to prevent a second such thrust. A charge forward to gain back the ground and attempt to overcome the staffs range, and lead into an overhand slash aimed at his outstretched shoulder.

Valkyarc said nothing. He no longer was a smiling, dry humored idiot he played out to be this entire time and had already planned five moves ahead.
After his thrust, Valkyarc lowered his staff and began backing up immediately as he predicted the man to be charging towards him. Just before the armored man took his first step, Valkyarc's staff glowed blue again and ice shot towards the ground and curled upwards around his enemies' foot. It would serve as a slippery slope to once again bring the giant off-balance as Valkyarc pulled his right hand out of his black pouch and threw three crystal marbles in his direction.
Three feet before they could make contact, the marbles exploded into thousands of pieces, a diamond dust that looked like mist. Then he quickly placed both hands on the staff to parry the blow, but not directly. Valkyarc swirled the staff at an angle as he side-stepped to the right, forcing the sword the other direction. Right after that, the staff disconnected into three joints and turned into his four-section staff, Valkyarc getting into his stance awaiting for what will happen next.

The ice had quite the desired effect, when sword impacted with staff the armored figure stumbled backwards quite a bit. The diamond dust did cover him, but unless it had unexplained effects, didn't seem to hamper the armored figure's vision at all. Valkyarc got his distance quite easily.
"Clever. But I have tricks of my own!"
He pulled back his sword as if he was going to charge once more, but this time there was no charge. Just a stab. As the sword went forward the joints on the armour seemed to come undone and stretch out. Literally the sword was thrust forward and the arm streched out behind it. There would still be a good deal of force behind the sword even with the distance.
It should be noted that it would become abundantly clear that the armour was the arm. There was nothing underneath the armour, just the pieces of armour spaced out and floating in the air behind the gauntlet still grasping the arm.

Valkyarc found himself wide-eyed with surprise as this fight he presumed to him be a duel between two living creatures, it seemed now that his opponent's was something else entirely. He couldn't put his finger on it, but this giant tin-can acted very strangely, or in fact, stereotypical of a proud warrior. As the sword came flying towards him, Valkyarc watched it zero in as he calculated the next few moves.
He had no choice, but to side-step the thrust a second time. The difference between this step and the first one was his arm. Right as it came in, Valkyarc had brought his left arm up as he side-stepped and yelled as he slammed his elbow down on the back of the sword. He knew this was possible due to the Krysterian skin, which was hard as thick ice. The parry would pound the sword into the ground with the same strength he showed earlier as Valkyarc then got low enough to get inside the armor's defense and go in for a thrust towards the middle of the stretched arm. He knew the armor was indeed powerful, but it would lose its density when out-stretched.
In doing so, the four-section staff reconnected once again and was nearing the stretched arm when front end of the staff took a new shape, an axe as sharp as a diamond blade and had an edge pointing forward about a foot in length. Valkyarc pushed ahead thrusting the axe-head at the stretched arm, knowing that a shield might coming down on him. As he predicted this, the diamond dust he created earlier and kept floating in the air began to take the shape of two shields. One would parry the enemies' shield in an indirect manner to avoid direct damage and the other would block a knee strike.
In the end, Valkyarc hoped this would work, uncertain of what will truly happen next.

The knight hadn't moved yet but he could feel it as the sword was knocked down. Then again as the axe pierced the armour. This would be met with immediate reaction. The first thing the figure did was begin taking steps forward shield outstreched.
That wasn't the part that would be dangerous for Valkyarc.
The arm began to snap back into a coherent piece with alarming speed, and since the axe had pierced the armour, unless he pulled out very very quickly, then he would likely be yanked off of his own balance and right into a shield.
Either his own ice shield if was still forming, or the armored figure's raised shield. If he did in fact hit the figures shield, the figure would respond with a shield bash.

Throughout the city, the people of Frostschild were coming home. Men, women, and children, knocked out of reality by a magical punch no one saw coming, were being nudged back into existence by the very same force. Eating, sleeping, shopping, working, they had been going about their lives, and to them no time had passed at all. Still, something was not right.
They were changed.
Metal. Jagged. Screaming and shrieking with inhuman voices, they returned skeletons of their former selves, grim visages of decayed bodies animated through the fusion of magic and robotics. They would go about their daily lives, clumsy brutal mockeries of what they once were, but lacking in human comprehension or understanding.
That is, until they saw someone alive, someone unchanged, someone who was still human. They turned on these people, watched them. Approached slowly, cautiously, sizing up the strange being. They would clang their metal teeth together threateningly, stretch out their claw-like fingers, and then...
...they would attack.
