Serena looked back at the new kid, her arms still crossed. He was kind of..odd. Like something was going on with him. She couldn't help but smile again to hide a snicker, for he agreed that the Orochi next to her ought to change his personality up a bit. And then suffering...Suffering? Then why is he just sitting there letting himself suffer? He should do something...She cocked her head and tried to look through the dark glasses, though it was pretty obvious she couldn't. "Are you alright? Shouldn't you be doing something to help the suffering?" She was intrigued. Though she said that, there might not have been a way for him to prevent what he was feeling..or else he would have gone to the village and found someone to help. Or maybe this boy was just stupid. But she wasn't going to act like she didn't care like snake boy had told him. The Raiken shook her head and then looked back to the Orochi, rolling her eyes mockingly. "Boy, you sure are nice and helpful to others. How about helping me guess your name then? You know..one without an 'F' in it.. " It was pretty obvious..he's been doing the same thing since the beginning, suggesting letters and such. Of course it could be a trick, but..she would counter it by disagreeing, so if she was right, he might be surprised she knew. If she was wrong, he might be satisfied she didn't believe him. It was hard to tell with this boy but she was going to take her chances. "Like.. She thought for a minute, her eyes gleaming in the dark. He had used double letters..maybe she would give it a try. "..Hi..Hei..Seihen..?" Shoot. It looks like the Raiken just found her weakness in this game. She was horrible at making names...Maybe something good will come up if she keeps making random guesses. She doubted Seihen was even a real name or meant anything..

So they think that I actually let myself suffer heh? They don't know anything at all.
That Orichi kid wasn't going to change for the better...the girl was actually nice to him. She seem's to be caring, has he was just a stranger...a little kid from the village.
''Oh...I got nursed of course. But nothing will ever ease that suffering. Though, has goes the saying, that wich cannot kill you will only make you stronger.''
And has he said that, he raised is right hand, for all to see a little bug, crawling on his skin. It was black, a little scarab. It was crawling out of a little hole on his hand. It didn't hurt that much. The bug seem's to be happy to get some fresh air.
Seems like their network is almost done. Seems I won't be suffering for a long time after this is done.
''This little life, will soon grew out to be my strength. That is why I must suffer.''

The tall, shady creep and the rival in intelligence did not care for the attitude. That was ok with Shisei. He was not very fond of their attitudes either. The snake youth watched as the spikey hair explained himself and then allowed a tiny beetle like insect to emerge out of his skin…. his skin!?? Yes the gold eyes did not see wrong. Despite sleepiness gaining more control, his eyes were still focusing correctly. The little gnat had dug out of his skin. Its jaws gnawed and created a small tunnel from the flesh of his hand. Shisei could not comprehend this for a second. His mind had to make sense of this child first. “What the..?? Does he have parasites? It must be some type of parasite. Then why is he sitting here with parasites in his body? They can probably eat through his body.”.The stolid face remained on phased, but the mind of this kid was stunned and intrigued.
The ideas kept spinning throughout his mind loudly. So loud that they made Serena’s mocking voice become tiny as a mouse squeak. At the time Shisei had forgotten about the game and just replied to her incorrect answer of his name. “No you’re wrong. It’s Shis…”. Damn. That was a terrible mistake to do. If the girl heard, she would know of the ‘S’ that quietly squirmed out by mistake. Curse this new boy disrupting the flow. Shisei had to get control. Now she definitely had another letter. It was not only because of the weird teen. Shisei was slowly getting tired too. The pale youth has had his share of pulling all nighters multiple times. Hence why the black rings around his eyes were not just aristocratic paint. Still, he preferred his diligent schedule of early to bed early to wake. By now it must be close to the twilight hours of morning. This one girl was a lot of trouble.
Little snake had to think carefully now. There was only way he could still win this. If she will take the bait for it. The other would have to be his somewhat ace in the hole. That depended on if the Raiken was similar to normal chatty girls or if she would rather work her brain. First was to try and make the playing field even for him to guess. To get a fighting chance. “You know. It’s probably almost morning by now. And neither of us is getting anywhere quickly. Let’s try this then. We’ll each state five letters. Within the five has to contain the right letters for your name. That way we don’t have to keep going through the whole alphabet. The ones that are not in your name can be any of the letters you want. A lady goes first so why don’t you give me five to choose from and I’ll start off picking. This should make it move a little quicker. Then you can go back being concerned with him…” the snake youth stated pointing towards the teen who was ‘suffering’ as he put it. Now would be for the next part. The dread head heard that girls liked to talk a great deal about things they found pivotal. Clothes, shopping, romance novels, and boys. The maverick snake did not know just how much of this was true, but he had one time see a pair of female teens chatting about one of those things. They became so engulfed within the conversation that one of them didn’t see a traveling carriage stroll by and it knocked her down. If women could get this engulfed into trivial things then hopefully sly smile was somewhat the same.
It still proved to be troublesome. Shisei had no knowledge on any of those. They were frivolous. A rather ironic statement considering how eye-catching the scaly boy’s attire was and the dedication he took to keep that appearance. The only one he could probably force a conversation on was the boy topic. Nothing a serpent mind really wanted to do. The other idea was to try some other form of attack on her brain. Light conversation was not working anymore. The Raiken was smart to some degree and liked playing with minds. Shisei had to admit that. Now would be the time to see if puzzles would divert her attention. Only one way to find out if it will work. “Speaking of, I remembered something. There was a little riddle that I forgot an answer to. Do you think you can figure it out?” amber eyes said with a wondering tone. Once the raven haired youth suggested her five letters he would then give out the brainteaser. His face still did not change from its statuette fashion. Yet one just might see the little fidgets from his eyes after he acknowledged his body’s tiredness. Still Shisei was prepared to go for another 24 hours, no 72 hours if need be, if it meant to beat sparkle eyes at this challenge.
[For your next roll you can make a lie roll with the five letters you choose, since I would still have to sense to figure it out. That is if you choose to switch to that format.]

Serena's deep gray eyes squinted to get a look at what the new boy was showing them. The second she saw a little black 'thing' crawling out of his hand..crawling out of his hand..her hazy glowing eyes grew wide in surprise and suddenly she let out a breath she had been holding for a second. Taking a few more breaths, the Raiken relaxed herself. Of course..he said he was suffering..the bugs, it had to be. Her head turned swiftly to look at the Orochi boy again before she had the chance to say anything about her thoughts on the bug. The snake boy had slipped...pretty badly so to say. It seemed like he too was intrigued by the black bug digging its way out of the other boy's hand. Serena kept silent, though. Even the snake boy would know that she caught it. It was too obvious of a slip. The corners of her lips twisted up at the new challenge the boy was offering. It was a pretty interesting suggestion, plue she realized just how tired she was when he reminded her it was almost morning. The Raiken sighed and agreed. "You're right, we'll do it that way then. I'll go first then.." The thought about the letters she wuold choose for just a moment, then looked back at the Orochi. "H, E, Z, T, R...there. Five letters, within them, the rest of my letters are hidden. " Another thought. Then a flash of excitement flashed in her eyes. "Well, what's the riddle? I could give it a try.."

“So those are your five? Fine. Then mine shall be F E I N T. Some where in those letters are the correct answers.” The fanged mouth hissed. Shisei immediately realized two of the letters that she picked. Perhaps the girl was lying before. The ‘E’ and the ‘R’ returned. The other choices seemed plausible too. The ‘Z’ being the least. Now this tactic could make it slightly fair. With three letters to guess the odds were in the serpent’s favor. His mind just had to make the correct choices and keep a strong front at his adversary. Not only that, but she took the bait too. Things were going much better than expected. The snake could grin at the moment, but the game was not over as yet. He was still behind and had to regain his dominance. There was nothing to grin about as yet. The future of this challenge was beginning to look brighter.
It was time to guess. “I think I’ll go with the letter.. ‘H’” Shisei said. The snake child was not sure of his answer. Perhaps their names were much similar than he expected. The ‘E’ and ‘R’ are tempting, but it could still be a ruse. He waited a few seconds for an answer and then began to say the riddle. It was something he heard a while ago and found the correct answer before anyone else could. It wasn’t the most difficult of riddle, but the snake child belief it would be enough to stump the girl’s mental capacity for a suitable duration. The only variable in this plan might be… “Him…” the small individualist thought as his eyes stared over to Bugs. The thought was quickly diminished though. “He’s suffering and in pain. His concentration should be on that and his parasites.”. Stolid snake had more important matters.
“Ok. Here’s the riddle: For some, I go fast. For other’s I’m slow. To most people, I’m an obsession. Relying on me is a well practiced lesson. Do you think you can figure that out? Maybe you can. I couldn’t.” the snake child lied. He already knew the answer, but it would be interesting if she could come up with a correct answer. Of course Shisei had his bets that she could not.

Time...is passing....that's it, Time. Maybe I should help that young lass there.

{confused..lie or sense for this one? either way I lose :/ Need to wait for FireSturm's post to complete my post.}
"H, alright..no." The grey eyes looked up through the towering bamboo stalks. It was pretty much morning already...Serena's eyes fluttered for a few seconds as she realized just how tired she had become. It was a good think she woke up late and skipped school. There was still enough in her to last maybe an hour or so..a yawn tried to escape the pressed lips, but gave up since the struggle was no use at all. The Raiken would not show weakness to this boy anymore now. This was when she would have to put more thought and energy into it. "As for you, how about 'T'?" Then she went over the riddle in her head. "For some I'm fast, for other's I'm slow..and to most I am an obsession.." The grey eyes stared into nothingness as the mind behind it was put into deep thought. There were two things she wanted to guess, but maybe she would just chose one for now.

[I’m sorry. My fault. I should have kept it the same. I’ll make a Lie roll this time and you can make a sense to try and guess the riddle and figure out another letter. So if you guess the letter you also get the riddle and if not you miss both. It’s the same as before, just an added stipulation.
Shikai you can use Shisei’s next roll and get involved. I’ll only make riddles when I lie so the DC will be my Lie roll. Sorry for the mix up. Again I apologize. I hope this is clearer. Ohh and don’t forget when you edit your post to include your twilight posts.]
Twilight: As the name challenge continued, small clouds of icy precipitation began to fall. It was the heralding of icy season. Winter was upon Shimagakure, ensnaring Shisei at his most vulnerable. Dawn's light began to crack through the sky as three teens continued their game, sleepless, in the forest of bamboo.
-Exit to Winter 3-
Cold. Cold and tired. All night trying to figure out this person’s name. Pale arms within the blue sleeves crossed over the boy’s chest. They had been like that for the past fifteen minutes. The statuette look had chipped not only because of sleepiness, but also because of the weather. Even though he tried his best not to show it, the boy’s body gave a small shake every few minutes. His eyes were slightly squinted trying to retain focus on the two teens before him. The patches of white lay on top his head like the condiments to food. The serpent did not bother to wipe any away. He just wanted to finish her off and be done with this challenge. He wanted to prove his dominance and then head for bed. His body could already imagine the soft comforters of the Tenmoki household. It would be coming soon. First he had to take care of this cunning diva.
She had responded, now was the time to see if he could fool her. “T is not a bad choice… maybe after you take a stab at the riddle I’ll respond to that.” his voice replied, slightly shaky from the cold. For now he wanted to bide time and continue thinking of what her name could be. His voice also had to ensure that she was preoccupied thinking. The snake youth usually did not feel this way from the cold, but the snow had snuck up on him. It seemed Mother Nature was on the Raiken’s side, but that would not stop Shisei from winning.

{I'll just leave the last post as so and continue on to this one.}
Twilight: Serena was able to keep awake through the night in order to guess Shisei's name, but sleep continued to sway her every now and then, until the cool air and dim light began to shine through into the bamboo forest. The game continues..
{Exit Day 3}
Conscious...yet, unconscious. The lids fought to flutter over the grey eyes, instinct wanted to cast the Raiken into a drifting sleep. As the pupils gleamed like new in the awakened light, Serena fought back at the tiredness, the coldness of the new day. Right now, the best thing in the world would be a soft bed to sleep on. The yawn she was fighting back finally broke through after a while, and it awakened the girl just a little bit. A hum emitted through her lips as she tried focusing on the game as much as possible. "Hmph..for some I'm fast, for others I'm slow, to most I am an obsession..relying on me is a well practiced lesson.." She went over the riddle over and over in her head until she narrowed the answer down to two things. Patience, or time. Most likely, one of them would be an answer. Either guess wouldn't be bad..they mostly make sense. She shivered at the coldness and sniffed, it would be best get the whole game over with now. White puffs of snow rested on the dark hair and shoulders. The Raiken breathed in the icy air and finally replied. "I think the answer you were looking for is Time. Hey, look, it also starts with a 'T'.." She smiled again and tried to bear the cold air floating around her.

“Yes it does… but I don’t think ‘T’ is what you’re looking for. Maybe you should try another letter. Maybe…. The riddle is correct. I remember now. I did hear about that answer before. I didn’t think you would be able to get it so quickly. Impressive.” The snake child lied. He didn’t find anything impressive about her. Aside from being an annoyance. Considering she had the cobra kid standing out in the snow at the brink of dawn, sly smile had succeeded in being more aggravating than anyone else thus far. She didn’t get the correct letter, but she had gotten the riddle. The serpent youth would have to think of one with more difficulty. Quickly too. It seems the vixen was not faltering as much from sleep and heat deprivation as Shisei would like. Her eyes did shift a bit, but it wasn’t enough. This would have been a good time to know a sleep inducing lullaby. Then the viper like boy could just lull her into dreamland and win by default. Yet would he even submit himself to that kind of action he his tongue knew of such a song. To wipe the smile off of sparkles face, yeah Shisei would.
That would not be the case though. She was getting closer, so it was time for dread head to continue with his guess. His arms kept folded across his chest as his eyes glared into the enigmatic Raiken’s gray orbs. He was not too sure what to guess so he just decided to go down the list of letters she had suggested. ‘E’ would be the next one. “Does your name contain an ‘E’?” the fanged boy was unusually terse with this answer. Even he knew that. His brain was not hurrying as much as it was six hours ago. Still maybe light conversation could still screw around with her head. If at best, Shisei could get information about the rest of the island in the meantime. “How many academy students are on this island?”. Information on other classmates just might peek tiny snake’s interest and cause him to forget sleep and bed. It would be good to also know how many other competitors are within his classes. As proven by the insect carrier in the background, there seem to be more classmates than first assumed.

The Raiken yawned. "Well that's one letter down for me..only 4 letters to choose from now..I supposed that the riddle would be a bit more challenging.." Her eyes flicked from side to side for a second, as if someone else was actually there watching her every move. Serena wanted to sit down and take a nap, right there in the forest, but knew that wouldn't be a good thing to do. That would mean a forfeit to the boy's challenge. "An 'E', yeah, there's an E in my name..is there one in yours?" She wasn't thinking right anymore..too tired to mock back at him. Answering the questions as plainly as possible would do for now, as long as this game would finally end so she could sleep the rest of the day. The big problem would be adjusting back to staying up all day and sleeping all night. It was getting colder by the minute, as the snow that made its way through the bamboo stalks froze the earth below her frozen feet. No one had told her to be aware of snow today, or else she would have worn some other kind of shoe that didn't numb her feet of cold. At least she had a jacekt..

[Can I give her a hand in finding your name? I just want to humiliate your char for some reason....XD kidding(don't take it personnal please I'm joking)...still Shikai got nothing to do better then listen to you two guys...wait I think he got an idea]
Clearly, that atractive young lady was smart, and good at guessing game's it seems. That snake boy was slowly loosing that contest. But it wasn't over...not yet.
Never understimate your oponent. Even more a snake...they got poison ready for you, ready to lunge at you at anytime, at the right time.
''Pherhaps I could give an hand.'' Shikai didn't want to interfere in their contest, the snake boy was already infuriated by his mear presence, that he was sure. The lady in other end, didn't mind him. She didn't judge him anyhow, even though most people just saw him has freak. And with the Kikai bugs, it would be worst. It was better to get an ally...no...a friend to his side. Such a smart friend...wich needed his help. The cold would get both of them. It was a matter of will power. Whoever would succumb to the sleeping ambrace of the night would face defeat.
Time to turn the scale.
And has he though that, Shikai toke out is hodded sweater, revealing his white skinned face and arms...and he cover the youg lass with it.
''This should help keep you warm.''
Just after doing this, Shikai feeled the cold embracee of the wind. A chill ran down his spine, and he touched his head...it was hot...fever again...the cold would help, but it could reveal a double edged sword.
You better finish this soon. Other wise I'll end up with an even worst condition...backa for me...should have brought more stuff with me.
Shikai decided to sit back near that big bambo again, it was more hot their, and the wind didn't reach him....then an idea sprunged, he took off some of the leaf around, gathering them on himself. He usuallly did that for camouflage...but it would prove usefull in keeping him warm. And it did.

[lol Think nothing of it Fire. I take it as a compliment that you want to disgrace my character. The riddles are actually meant for Shikai to solve. You just have to be a little quicker. Serena's a speedster. Maybe she'll mess up on one and you can solve it. Or solve it before her.
Ohh Fire in one of your previous posts can you edit it to include twilight and exit to day 3. Serena also in your Twilight post just add in exit to day 3. I forgot to mention that before.]
Shisei stared hesitantly as the lanky insect holder walked behind his opponent. He placed his hooded sweater across the kunoichi in training shoulders. The viper child was beginning to wonder just what relationship the two had. Surely a person who just met someone for the first time wouldn’t be this granting. Especially how the snow is descending. If anything the shade wearer should be huddling more in his hood and parasites. This gave him an idea for the next brainteaser, but first he had to reply to sleepy sparkle.
His whether it was from a brisk wind or tiredness the, boy’s face crinkled slightly when she asked about the ‘E’. He didn’t reply straightforward, but maybe if the vixen has enough consciousness to her tired mind, she’ll know just how close to the truth she is. Instead Shisei decided to continue his own statement, between slightly trembling lips. “How noble…” his voice stated to the spikey hair boy with slight antipathy a pause before continuing. “Maybe you want to be this Raiken girl’s knight.” the rest of the voice came out mockingly in the brisk air.
Pale feet turned the rest of lithe body away from the two teens. First to respond to sly smile. “An E is plausible, although are you sure you don’t want to stick with T?”. The dread snow head was getting too tired to correctly manipulate his tone into tricking her. Unfortunately that would have to do. Now for the other person. “Ok insect knight. Why don’t you take a riddle and help her; What is so fragile that when you say it's name you break it?” the snake voice slithered out at the older boy.
Shisei felt slightly proud at this question. It was one he had come with himself. It was improved in this weather. A pang of pride meagerly boiled within him. Only a meager though. Lack of sleep and cold precipitation was keeping the heat within his body at an undesirable temperature. It was becoming an annoyance. Maybe a change of pace would be able to help his mind. “We’re going to village. So I can find something warm to eat and drink. I’m not getting sick over you two. Parasite boy, I don’t really care what you do, but warm food is probably going to go a longer way than your bush coat. Raiken girl, you should come. I wouldn’t want to think of you being disqualified for not coming.” the serpent youth stated sharply. He already gathered that once this game was over, he would probably sleep for most of the day. Whatever Karite had to speak with him about could hopefully wait till later. Shisei had to make sure he didn’t get sick. He had to continue training vigorously. Cause at the end of his training was that crimson jade eye mutt. Tanu.

The cold in the surrounding air was starting to get to Serena. It was hard not to show it anymore..the truth was, it was freezing and she was tired and sleepy. Just the thought of losing the game kept the light in her eye from disappearing under the flickering eyelids. She was so unaware of anything but the game and the coldness that she had not realized the other boy had gotten up. A weighted layer of something resting over her broke the Raiken from her trance with a short breath that emitted a small fog into the air. It was a hoodie, and it was warm. Her head turned over her shoulder to see who it was that had given it to her. A warm rush of blood began to slightly fill her cheeks as she realized that the boy, silently standing by, had taken off his own hoodie and offered it to her. Now, his arms were bare and pale and his face was uncovered except for the glasses, and now, she could clearly see a long scar trailing from his dark shades to the corner of his mouth. "Th-thank you, but, won't you be cold then? I don't want to cause any more suffering than you might have already.." Serena put the thought of his suffering to mind, though as she talked, she pulled the hoodie closer to herself for warmth. Though she didn't know exactly what it was, she knew the cold would just cause more pain for the boy. Then she turned her grey eyes abruptly towards the Orochi boy. He was just being his usual mocking self. She mocked back, but with more attitude than before this time. 'shut up...' "Maybe it's because you're too selfish to be one yourself." She wouldn't let him slide this time. This new boy had not even met her before, and he lets himself stand in the cold while she is kept warm by the jacket he had offered, even during a time he was in some kind of suffering. He was being nice, something she had not experienced in a while. "If it's plausible, then I'll take it..and yeah, good idea, let's go to the village.." The Orochi was right..it'd be best if they all got something warm in themselves, except for the fact that he was being all selfish again. Only thinking for himself. The Raiken shook her head and began thinking about the riddle. She would let this boy solve it out. She hoped he would be able to get it..it wasn't too hard..she already had a few solutions in her head.

[You expect me to beat a twenty with another twenty? Your a nut case XD And if you don't know the answer of my riddle....well...I'm not the only one who can play at this kind of game. XD]
Shikai was feverish, but his body was fighting well. He listen to the young smart lass...she didn't want to further increase is suffering.
''Do not worry about that, in my current state, cold won't do anything harsh.''
if he wasn't determined to keep to himself at this moment, he would have huged her right now. He did came up with a small, and for a moment, his faced showed to be less pale and more redish. And although no one could see it because of the shadow, he was smiling. That girl was something. It seems she had replied with ingeniosity, quite vicious for the snake boy. Shikai believe the boy would either lose is temper, or came up with a similar desperate retort in order to keep his good image. Either way, he was proving he was selfish, and seriously closed minded. If you want to attain power, you need knowledge. Knowing something by the back of hand can help you discover power. How you used is a matter of wisdom. Snake boy was far from wisdom. Or at least, that's what Shika thought.
He lack something....can't put a finger on it...maybe it's something related to his life...maybe something related to his parent's...his way to power will cost him.
He listened to the snake boy riddle...again, his tactic dosen't change much...he must desperate. Although that riddle was somehow hard. Shikai though of the cold, but that wouldn't be the answer.
Then he listened to the snake boy's suggestion.
''Finally something I agree with, but don't think any farther then that.''
Shikai said with a neutral. He decided he would give is answer after thinking a little more about it. Right now, setting himself near a fire would work nicely with accelerated thoughts. He got up on his feet and decided to walk by the Raiken girl. At least she was more friendlier then that snake boy...less colder too, in both sense of the term.
''I got one for you, snake boy. I got no keys, I got no door, I got no lock. But I hold a yellow treasure. What am I? Your not the only one who can play at these game.''
