Usrah watched the others leave. If so many people were in a panic over a minotaur, he could only imagine their reaction to a flying man in devil armor. He heard Ashe's question and his eyes took upon a sorrowful visage. He turned to her, not really looking into her eyes.
"The only woman I ever loved was slain in battle over nine-thousand years ago. Had I been stronger, she would be alive today. Every mission I have ever taken has been labeled 'suicide', due to the danger involved. I survive each mission with ease, occassionally becoming stronger in doing so. I will never be happy until I can be with my love again, be it in death or so other means. If there were a way to bring her back to life I would. As elders, we could be together forever, our bodies and our love never wearing-down."
He turned his head and closed his eyes briefly. He returned, his eyes no longer sad and he looked into her eyes.
"So you see, I take on missions for the off-chance that I may die. The payment I receive from my missions goes to the House Iroziel, so that we may further research and create weapons and armor. Besides, your group sounds like they need help and I'm one of the finest adventurers in the land."

Surprised by the amount of people coming out to his defence versus the humans, Rok smiled and nodded towards Lin.
"Thank you, Lady Liniathe. I might have overreacted at the end, there, but I am grateful for your aid," he said formally.
Next, he picked up his axe again and replaced it on his back.
"I would enjoy meeting your companions. And yes, I do need to restock," Rok answered her question, feeling and hearing his stomach growling.

Luniya sat down in the bar. There wasn't really much to do. By accident she heard what the elder, Usrah, was telling to Ashe. It's wasn't her fault she had good ears, she really wasn't trying to listen but it's not like he was talking quietly or anything. His story was sad, and in Luniya's opinion he was living his life all wrong. She gripped her three deceased siblings fur wrapped around her waist. She could relate to Usrah somewhat; yet she knew her brothers and sister would want her to live. A single tear escaped her eyes. She began to stare blankly out the window.

Lin smiled. "Please just call me Lin, and I shall call you what you wish to be called." She quickly lead the way to the inn, and once outside she opened the door, and held it open for Rok. "At the end there was not your fault, the human tried to take your axe, I can understand how protective, one is of their weapons." She rested a hand on her sword hilt. "I myself am very protective of my weapons. Well I will let you meet my companions over a meal, and then I will take you to restock on your supplies."
Lin turned to the group of her companions in the inn, and smiled. "Luniya, Sir Usrah, Flint, Ashe, and Sorrow; this is Lord Rok, from the minotaur capital, he will be joining us on our journey." She looked back at Rok. "The people in this inn, are quite used to different races, they aren't going to try an hurt you, so you may come right in, the doorway is big enough for many races." Lin took a few steps inside, and motioned to the table that all her friends were at, she kept the door held open, still smiling kindly to all her friends. Their travelling group was growing. This way, the quest may be easier to succeed in.

She smiled and then looked over to the others leaving. Wondering if it was really trouble outside or what she thought was a few human towns folk getting scared over nothing. She turned her attention to the waiter, who she flagged down and ordered some pancakes, a bagel, and some orange juice. She then waited for her food while looking at the others.
“Usrah that’s a really sad story. I can’t say I’ve ever felt the loss of a loved one like you have. But I know what it’s like to be alone in this world.”
She fiddled her fingers around and waited some more for her food. It arrived and she grabbed a eating utensil next to the napkins and started to take a small bite of her pancakes.
“Mmm.. I love blueberrys. Oops I was talking with my mouth full, sorry.”
She then went back to eating the round flat pancakes and then set her fork down and took a sip of her cold fresh orange juice. She looked over at the others that were remaining when she saw Lin come back with a rather large Minotaur creature. She noticed how big he was compared to the others.
That’s what they must be freaking out about. Oh pancakes. Wait I think I just forgot my manners, I almost burped just now. Oh no I completely forgot about Usrah. Maybe I should act more like Lin.
Sorrow grabbed a napkin and placed it on her lap and then started cutting her bagel and putting on cream cheese. She tried to act as well mannered as she could, although she wasn’t usually the type to show politeness at the dining table.
“So Usrah, tell us more about yourself. What kind of powers do you have? I’m a healer and a bard. Yes I know it’s kind of silly to be a female bard, but it can be really helpful.”
Sorrow stared at Usrah with a lovey dovey look.

Flint bowed a second time to the minotaur. "Sir" he said simply, before straightening up and sitting back down. He grabbed his glass of water, taking a slow sip and nearly laughed at Sorrow's last remark. Which would have ended in him chocking, if he had. "Not silly to be a female bard at all, honestly" he said, lowering his glass. "In fact, I know quite a few. Some are gnomes like me, quite a lot are elves, and a couple are humans, but that lot doesn't last long, and have quite small memories, so they can't remember or recite many songs or stories" Flint finished by leaning his chair back, hooking his feet around the table legs so he wouldn't fall.

Luniya looked at the minotaur. He was huge, he made her feel like a small beaver or some other small animal. She walked over and extended her arm so he could possibly shake it. If he did shake it he'd cover up her whole hand. "Hello Lord Rok, you must be starving," Luniya said with the biggest smile. Her face suddenly became a little more serious. "For you to travel all this way, and be greeted... judged rather, by humans that way shows how cruel the world is," she started laughing, "but nevermind that you are among friends now."
Luniya agreed with Flint, "Yeah if you love what your'e doing then it is never silly. Be happy you found your passion." She was still waiting for Lord Rok to shake her hand.

Sorrow turned her head away from gazing at Usrah and looked over to Flint and Luni when they spoke. She agreed with them, that she should be happy she enjoys her powers and what she can do. She smiled a little bit and looked over at Rok again. “I am happy that I can help others, whether it be with my healing magic or with the power of magical songs. I know I’m not really that big of a help offensively. Although I have a few attacks, like my small ability to control wind and my holy magic. But mainly I’ll be in this adventure as support.”
Ryo was feeling a bit more relaxed around the others, and even though she had only met them a short while ago, she felt as if she had known them for weeks, maybe months. She looked over at Rok again and decided to introduce herself.
“Um.. hey there big guy. I’m Sorrow. I would give you some kind of proper greeting, but I’m kind of in the middle of breakfast.”
She turned her head down looking at the food on her plate and took a bite of her bagel. At this point as she chewed she looked back to Usrah and started to day dream again. She dreamed of her and Usrah sitting on a beach, playing instruments and holding hands. Typical girl stuff.

Ashe nodded her head at the Minotaur and said, "Name's Ashe Windsong." She shifted in her seat and pulled out her book. She didn't open it, but the fact that it was in her hands calmed her impatience. She wanted to get out into the wind, she had been inside a little to long for her liking. If we don't get going soon I might just scream.

Usrah chuckled at the question.
"Powers? Well, in the simplest terms, I am a paladin. Most of the members in House Iroziel are either paladins or mages, females typically taking the role of the mage. Because of that, nearly all of our research is conducted by women. Most commoners would find that appauling, but House Iroziel is quite progressive."
He paused for a moment.
"I have an assortment of unique 'powers', I suppose you could call them that. I have the power of Vigor which increases my strength by an obscene amount. It allows me to perform such actions as breaking through stone or metal, even with my hands. Sadly, the effects only last for a short time, about as long as it takes for the action to be completed. Another is the power of Celerity. This increases my overall speed. I find this to be the most useful in combat, because if your enemy cannot hit you, they cannot win. I have a power that is constantly active called Heightened Senses. The name should be self-explanatory. My final power is one of unknown origin. I have the ability to manipulate any type of blood. This power allows me to, say, harden blood into a spike and fling it at an enemy with will alone. It is quite interesting."
Usrah sighed quietly. He did not usually talk so much and had not really talked to anyone in many years.

Lin smiled, and watched her group of friends. They were all getting on nicely, and she found herself taking a seat at the closest table to her. He mind wandered, and she began staring out the window with a blank expression on her face. She was thinking about home, and how much she missed leaving it now. The cheerful mood, the peace, the music, anything that the elves enjoyed doing. She remembered those times, and a small smile came to her face. She wasn't really aware of what was going on around her, until a tankard clattered to the floor. She quickly turned, and noticed a man, he was a human, but there was something else about him. A strange power that she couldn't quite put her finger on.
It wasn't a very friendly power however, and she found herself resting a hand on the hilt of her sword. It seemed like an old magic, and it seemed to seek blood. She just noticed a glint of steel, and saw the man with a small dagger which could easily be hidden, and used with speed. She saw a tavern wench moving to pick the tankard up, but soon she walked in instead, and said she would take care of it. Just as she suspected, as soon as her hand touched the tankard, the man tried to stab her in the back with his dagger. His eyes had changed to a crimson colour, and just before the dagger was into her back, or too close to her, Lin pulled out a dagger and knocked his dagger away, before freezing him with a quick ice spell. "This man isn't fully human it seems" she said simply.

Flint had been watching the affair, and his own knife was out, flicked open with an ominous click. "No, I don't think he was" he said casually, as if commenting on the weather. He got up, walking over to the man. "Unfreeze the b*****d" Flint said, then remembered who he was talking to. "Please?" As he asked, he hopped up on the table so he would be about eye level with the man. He slid the dagger under his neck, right on his jugular. "On second thought, Lin, please just unfreeze his head" Flint added, remembering his dagger.

Luniya's ears twitched and her nose wrinkled. She walked up closer to the frozen person that tried to attack Lin. She leaned forward and sniffed. She must have looked akward because she didn't want to get too close. "Well, doesn't smell human." Luniya glared at the woman who picked up the tankard. "Do you guys think our company is still welcome here? Maybe it is time to leave."
Flint can look really vicious when he wants. Threatening too All she could do was stare at Flint in awe. She didn't think such a small person could have so much intensity, but this was Flint after all. You have to expect the unexpected with him.

"No, I think it would be best if we leave" Flint said, lazily scratching at the ice around the mans face. Flint's artistic...enough...side showed through as he started making a face on the ice. The face looked infinitely more ugly than the guy who was encased behind it. "Of course, I wanna interrogate then either intimidate or kill this guy" he added, grinning at his work. "Perfect."

"We'll have to get rid of this guy first," said Ashe. She walked up to the frozen man and then to Flint. "I don't think the barkeep doesn't want blood in here. Best to kill him with out spilling blood." She took the man's head in her hands and looked to Lin. "Your command though."
