Roy smiled at Pichu, and then glanced at Lenny reassuringly.
"Don't worry, I'm sure Growlithe will be fine."

Kenny sat at his desk, once again, organizing his papers. When the phone rang, he just sighed and picked it up.
"Hello?", he asked in a boring tone.
"Hello, is this Officer Kenny?"
"Yes... what is it...?"
"Is there any update on Officer Lenny's Growlithe?"
"Who's asking?"
"Oh, uh, sorry. This is Avril Lee, one of Lenny's friends."
"Well, if you must know, Avril, we're still trying to find a place..."
Avril turned to Roy, covered the receiver on the phone and exclaimed, "Growlithe's still free! I might have a chance!"
"Hello?"
Avril heard the voice and started speaking again. "What kind of person are you going to adopt it to?"
"Well, if a person wants to adopt it, they'll need to take some tests..."
"Okay, well, thanks for letting me know!"
"No problem."
"Bye!"
"Bye."
Avril hung up and handed back Lenny's phone.
"Lenny, I solved the case!"
"What?!"
"Oh, I meant, the problem... I really have to cut back on the TV... "
"Uh, ok, what?"
"I'll go in, take the surveys, and try to adopt Growlithe!"
"Great. Well, for him... I've still got to solve a lot more problems than that."
"Oh, sorry..." Avril said before looking at the clock.

"Oh my gosh, people, we gotta go...!" Avril said while dragging Dante and Roy by the wrists, Pichu on her shoulder, and Houndoom just following. "See ya soon, Lenny!"
"Bye..." Lenny responded just loud enough for them to hear.

When they exited the doors, Avril got out a map. "Let's see... O my gosh where's the Pokemon Center on this thing!?"
Dante pulled away the map. "Let me see." After a moment he concluded, "There isn't one on this map. And it's even from this year."
"No way!" Avril responded while she took back the map. "Maybe this is a part of another building... it was kinda small.......... We don't have time for this! We have to find the station!" Avril realized.
"Okay, we'll walk around and figure out what street we're on."

Derek Finished Polishing Kron. The Steelix Happily Growled and it went back to its pokeball. "Yea the Girls back home would love that...." Derek pulled out a map and Frowned. "Weres the Pokemon Center?" Derek Looked around and Tried Finding it.

"The water's getting higher? Hmm, must be high tide tonight."

The boy stood by the bay watching the sunset with his hands in his pocket. He seemed too deep in thought, but the sunset was what he was really thinking about.

It was beautiful, not like any other sunset he had seen before. It colored not only the sea, but also the horizon, a darkening tangerine into a solid bronze. The usual warm atmosphere had begun leaving, making room for the cold mountain breeze to linger until morning comes.

"HYEAH!" said Staryu proudly.

It flew by, spinning into Kross' arms. It had been by the fountain nearby playing with his Luvdisc and Feebass. Looking at his trainer card, it would seem that he found all the love in the world just by being with Water Type Pokemon. His picture was off though, smiling at the sight of his younger appearance.



Now, he had longer blue hair, and he looked more mature. To him, it didn't matter what he looked like. All he know is that he's comfortable with what he was wearing.



"Hey there Staryu," he said with a smile. "d'ya have fun?"

"HYEAH!"

It could not have said it more enthusiastically. Kross was glad. Tomorrow, he would go train some more, but he could not help but miss his hometown. The sunset reminded him of the view.

"We are so far away from home," he said, letting loose a fair amount of air inside his lungs. The Hoenn region was far indeed, but to journey out for the adventure was what made him leave in the first place. Turning around was hard. He had been moved emotionally, but for once, he was very determined. He reached for three Pokeballs inside his bag and approached the fountain where Luvdisc and Feebass were playing.

"Okay guys, we should probably go to the Pokemon Center now. Luvdisc, Feebass, return. You too Staryu," the Pokemon returned happily into their Pokeballs, and Kross made his way to the Pokemon Center to ask for a Regional Map and for a place to spend a night.

The Center doors open. The usual, trainers as far as the walls go. This was an unsually big Pokemon Center compared to the others, and Kross was amazed at how they managed to make the Center 3 stories high. As Kross made his way towards the front desk to ask Nurse Joy for assistance, a boy of a slightly younger age approached him.

"Excuse me, miss, would you like to join me for dinner?"

Kross was disappointed. He knew that he did look a lot like a lady. He had taken his traits from his mother, sadly, it did not work wonders for him. He raised his hands and appologized.

"Oh, eh, you've got the wrong guy here," he said, and the kid just walzed away, blushing.

Jeez, I really need to do something about this. This is the sixth time somebody's mistaken me for a girl today. It has to stop, he thought, groaning as if he was experiencing slight pain.

Upon reaching the counter, he dinged the bell, "Excuse me,"

Avril was walking backwards when Roy spoke.
"Hmm. I figured out why the Pokemon Center's not on the map..."
Avril said before turning to the direction the others were looking in.
"Oh my gosh, you DID find it!"
Avril began to sprint towards the building.

After filling in forms, the Officer Lenny came by and said aloud,
"We will announce who gets the Growlithe tomorrow at noon. Even though only 12 of you came in...
"Okay, now, POKEMON LAB, HERE WE COME!" Avril burst. She started running again, the others mostly sighing and picking up their pace.
...
"Here you are." Professor Heartwood told the new trainers while handing them their Pokedexs.
"Woah... This lab is cool!" Avril said aloud as they entered the building.
Houndoom panted heavily as he came to a stop directly inside the doorway.
Avril's eyes: Some trainers talking to the professor, one kind of walking around, and assistants watching Pokemon and what-not.

The Pokemon Center was buzzing with business. Trainers were scattered all over the Lobby, and Kross didn't have any choice but to move out. Obviously, there were no available rooms anymore, but he was glad to make it to a place called Ichiro Town before nightfall.

"You should head on to Ichiro Town. Mizuke City is always full of busy people nowadays," said an anonymous young trainer.

"Why Ichiro Town? And where is it?"

"Well, since you have a functional GPS, and a Holomap installed in your Laptop, I assume that you knew, but anyway, it's to the west from here and it's not quite far either. Just pass the meadows and you're there. Also, if you want your Pokedex updated, you should talk to the Professor there. Ichiro Town is where all trainers of the Jovilline region start,"

The sun was setting fast, his shadow long and tall and was cast by the sun that was setting in front of him. Ahead was the facade of the Ichiro Pokemon Lab. The entry scene was definitely fascinating.

The town was quite small, but the space made up for it. There were not much houses, but there were huge green grazing fields for Pokemon. Ichiro town was definitely the best place to start out and get to know Pokemon. The gardens and the green of the grass and trees were a crisp orange. Tauros moved along the fields with the Miltank. They seemed to be living peacefully.

"I'm actually impressed," he said.

Grey stone steps, a huge wooden door, and commotion inside the Laboratory. That was what kept Kross alert, he would enter and then get his Pokedex and Holomap updated. He stood there far longer than he would've thought anyway, the flock of Tailow were already flying back into the forest, and he thought that he should make this quick. The Lab doors open.

There were a few trainers inside the Laboratory already, and Kross took notice of that. He went near their group, grasping the strap of his backpack in worry, feeling the pressure.

"Um, excuse me," he said, his voice sure and obviously hiding the insecurity he felt. His eyes were fixed on the person wearing the white lab coat, the other trainers were in his side-vision, "Are you Professor Heartwood?"

"Why yes, what do you need, sir?" Heartwood replied to the nervous boy.

"Hey, guys, I found the professor!" Avril said before flowing into the semi-small crowd that surrounded Heartwood.
