"Your sister has greater power than you think. She's saved my ife a few times. I'm Kyle... I lost my memory. I swore to protect your sister. And apparently I've been failing at that. I guess since I'm trying to protect your sister I'm on your side," Kyle said.

Kyle smiled as he saw that it seemed to be a somewhat good reunion. But Kyle couldn't help but wonder why Akemi would use the last of her energy to help him. So many questions filled his mind, but not one was about a memory.
Meanwhile, Shade was watching Katsu carefully. "Hah... Lord Akio would love his head. And Kyle. He will be the perfect minion if Akio lets me keep his soul once he's dead," shade said to himself. His key blade was out now. He then jumped down and chucked his key blade at Katsu.

Akemi smiled. She had been struggling to use her mouth muscles for the last minute or so. Still lying motionless on the ground, she answered Katsu's jibe, but not hiding the overwhelming relief and love in her voice.
"Katsu, you're the one who decided to play the hero and just leave everybody. And who would think of trusting you with the Ultima Weapon? You know very well that you'll always need your older sister to protect you, you big...silly."
She propped herself up on her elbows. She was still pale, couldn't stop blinking, and was extraordinarily dizzy. It was all she could do to think straight.
So when a keyblade came flying out of nowhere at Katsu, she merely stared at it wide-eyed.

"Akemi, stay here." Kyle said, jumping up and stopping the key balde with his own. Shade appeared and laughed.
"we meet again, Kyle," Shade said. A crystal shard appeared from nowhere and zoomed past Kyle's face, cutting him. Kyle placed his hand on the wound then looked at his hand. Blood.
"who are you?" kyle asked. shade started to laugh.
"why, I'm basically Death. But my name is Shade. Oh, you were a good boy, destroying worlds and such, but then a heartless bumped you in the head and all of that went adios, amigo," Shade said. Kyle was confused.
"So your saying I was your accomplice?" Kyle asked.
"You could say so. Ah, the worlds we destroyed. If only you would work for Akio and I."

Of course, the wannabe-hero in Akemi wanted to help Kyle, whatever had just happened. Her vision was little blurry...her head hurt...but she saw what occurred.
"You...who are you?" she choked out to the stranger, trying to prop herself up straighter. "What do you know about Kyle?"
She looked to Katsu pleadingly, knowing she didn't have the strength left to help Kyle even by the simple act of healing. It had been kind of stupid to use her last bit of energy before...she should've tried to find help somewhere else...why had she done that? Now she was useless...

"well lookie here! Kyle's found himself a girl. Now, it would be bad if something were to happen to her," Shade said. Kyle glared at him.
"don't hurt her," Kyle said, gripping his key blade tighter.
"Then I suggest you just stand there and die. I won't let you stop me from destroying everything," shade said, pulling out his key blade. Kyle knew this was bad. "Just to let you know, sweetheart, Kyle destroys worlds. He even destroyed his own." Rage started to build within Kyle.

Akemi blushed at Shade's annoying remarks and glared at him. If he dared try and make her a damsel in distress, he had another thing coming...
His next statement made her hesitate a bit. But of course she wouldn't take this from some stranger who was trying to kill the very person he was slandering.
She looked at Kyle, then back at Shade. "And I'm supposed to believe you...why?" she asked with all the spite she could muster. "And--wait--you work with Akio?!" Her pitch rose dramatically. "Where is he? Tell him he'd better get here and get what's coming to him for that trick he pulled before..."

"Well, miss, you should trust me because I'm the only one that's alive that knows who Kyle is. And you'd have to kill me to get to Akio. And I'm afraid that won't happen because I'm going to kill you first," Shade said, pointing at Akemi. Kyle growled and swung his key blade at Shade. Shade blocked and sent a crystal shard into Kyle's stomach. Kyle felt dizzy. He fell to the ground, knocked out. "That one down, three to go," Shade said, looking at Akemi. "But I'll get you later. Good bye for now." Shade then transformed into a dark mist and drifted away.

Akemi's heart fluttered as she realized she was getting deeper into this than she had ever imagined. She wouldn't admit it, but she felt a bit of fear for herself.
Looking at the crystals, she remembered something Kyle had said in the very beginning.
"A man that could turn into crystals..."
She pushed herself off the ground and ran for Shade, keyblade raised, but was too late. He had disappeared.
Remembering her mistake from before, Akemi calmed herself slowly before running back to collapse to her knees beside Kyle.
"Katsu, Ski, we need to get somewhere...is there anybody we know around here that could help us?"
She wouldn't acknowledge Shade's remarks about Kyle's past. Being the only one who knew anything just meant that he could say whatever he wanted and no one could refute him. That made him less trustworthy than ever. She would simply wait to see Kyle's opinion on the matter, if he could remember anything more than what he had revealed.
Her head hurt. She needed to lie down. So did everyone else. They were all tired, she could see.

Kyle's memories were coming back. Shade was right. He had destroyed worlds. Many of them. Kyle was a monster on an endless rampage of destruction. Eventually, he awoke to see akemi. "What... Happened?" he asked, not noticing a crystal embedded in his chest. The strange thing was he wasn't bleeding. He felt fine. The crystal was now inside his skin, and the wound healed up almost immediately. It was as if it was meant this way for him to live.
Shade stood on top of the clock tower, smiling. "And so the tracking device has been planted. Lord Akio will be pleased," he said, fading away.

Akemi looked at the place where the crystal had lodged worriedly, brow furrowed.
Then she attempted to pick Kyle up and motioned for the others to follow, explaining as she went.
"He...he threw a crystal at you. It went...inside you. I don't know if it's doing any harm. He's gone now...but Kyle, you said something about crystals before. Was he the person from your memory? Do you know if the crystal is harmful? And...you know what, we should get to somewhere safe before we pump you for information."

"he was the man, Akemi... And I feel fine... But there's a hotel in the second district," Kyle said. wait... how did Kyle know about the hotel. And how come he felt like a man named Jason Bourne? Who was Jason Bourne?
