Ominous Bloodlust Argh, I believe this is the first post I've techinally made, since joining. I've been busy, school sucks a**. EDIT: Damn typos. I'm recovering from a broken finger. Sorry, for any and all mistakes. Don't worry about it, Speaker makes them night and day. And his fingers are fine. (although he has a not so hot keyboard -- so I hear.)

I knew a guy who visited our local gun range who lost the first knuckle fo his pointer finger, and he was still making bulls-eyes at 100yrds with his high-powered .22 semi, complete with an AGOC scope and military-grade bi-pod. Come to think of it, the whole damn thing was military-grade. the barrel he had on it spun the bullet a full 10 times before it left the gun --- that's huge.

All I can say is, I wasnt a high-powered .22 with a semi-automatic action, complete with a 30-round clip, casing-catcher, bipod and ACOG scope.... and a Barrett. those two guns, and I'd pwn in any revolution.

I take three days off, and everybody finds out about the installation... Ugh. I hate catching up, especially when most people are making short conversational posts... Well, I guess I have some reading to do. Also, MANY MARINES ARE WOUNDED, PEOPLE! NOT EVERYONE IS A-OK! You gotta take that into consideration before jumping in head over heels onto the installation (under-strength companies, a distinct shortage of weapons or ammo would make that obvious, and are things I've been trying to describe over the last few posts.) But still, everything is looking good and we have lots of excellent new RPers, so carry on!

Everyone who's not A-OK is gettin treated by spare docs in the Medical Bay.
Yarr! We be space marines, we know nothing about "caution", or "patience". These concepts are strange to us! Jump in, the fires of hell are great!

There's a small problem with the unit size you've got going. A Battalion is composed of 4 to 5 companies and would be led by a Colonel and a Lt. Colonel or a Lt. Colonel and a Major. A Company is composed of 4 platoons and would be led by a Captain or a Major. A Platoon is composed of 40 men and would be led by a 1st Lieutenant. A Lieutenant wouldn't be put in charge of 175 men. That's usually how many people are in a company.

Well since so many are injured, I assume only the most able men are going in. So our group would have to be small. Anyways our company is awesome because it's so small and doesn't make sense.

I think at this point as far as the story goes, they're using as many men as they've got. Whether it's the correct format or not.
If it's 8pm and you're starving and the only food is pancakes... you would eat the pancakes even though it's not time for Breakfast.
...That may have been a bit of a stretch. Point being, you're right. It doesn't make sense. But we're starving, does it really matter?
(Again...bit of a stretch.)
