The Power of Suggestion.

It has parts written by Sigur Ros, Jutras, Philip Glass, and the closer was written by my band director. Yes, my director does that~!

my band is doing The City of Angels it is a Broadway play and also played by Jasper High school it is a little weird because our director will continuously change something like adding to our olds and changing were we go and auhg but the music is really awesome because it's a blues except for the third piece which is my favorite because all we do is stay in place while the chapelletes (our school's dancers) dance around us and still haven't got to marching or playing the forth piece yet.

I'm in the Western Carolina University marching band this year as a freshman. We have about 360 people (42 Trumpets! OMG!) and our show will be absolutely amazing. If you ever get a chance to see it, you need to!

It's called Work It! featuring the music of Beyonce, Ac/DC, Kanye West, Bachman Turner Overture (or something like that) and lots of other people. It's amazing!!

This year, our show is called 'American Dreams'...we have three movements 1)Dreams/Aspirations 2)Fears and 3) Realizations...The music is a mix of American Pie and Igor Stravinsky's Appalachian Spring/Simple Gifts

Trombones get the American Pie melody in the 1st and third movements =] it is amazing

I'm happy to say that my band's show this year is all based off of Les Miserables. Among the songs we'll be playing are Work Song (At The End of Day) and I Dreamed a Dream. My BD says that we'll even have a scene where we "storm the bastille". it should be AWESOME! We already have the first six pages or so of our opener on the field with music. I can't WAIT for marching season to start.

This year, the Bellingham High School Marching Band in Massachusetts will be performing "KISS" with the songs "Rock And Roll All Nite" "Beth/Detroit Rock City" and "Shout It Out Loud", all arranged by Paul Murtha.
Our color guard is getting all new uniforms. This year should be promising.

We're doing "Symphonic Music for Marching Band" and while the name sucks, the show itsself doesn't. We're doing Emperata Overture, Into the Light, Comedian's Gallop, and Chorale And Shaker Dance. The drill is what makes it so hard since we're a small band. Plus, it's a huge change from last year's show which was the music of Styx (Grand Illusion/Renegade, Best of Times/Too Much Time On My Hands, and Come Sail Away). But we're also switching alot of our woodwinds to brass because our brass section graduated...and last year we were mostly a woodwind band. But poor little Buffalo, WV tries its hardest!

We are playing Japanese music this year, last year and the year before that we played Russian, now we are changing, and we all love the show

It's all traditional music and most we don't have the names of because our music writer just calls it "Japanese Closer"

We don't know what the show will be called yet, probably something in Japanese, then a translated version, it's always fun listening to the announcers screw it up
