Shandra nodded to herself, "Okay...well follow me if you want. Maybe they'll be more people for you to meet...or re-meet maybe."
Shandra started to the kitchen, letting Blade choose if she wanted to follow or not. Besides she was thirsty and some hot apple juice sounded really good right now. Of course working to get said apple juice was a pain and a half but she supposed it was either make her own drinks or she could always drink water.

Blade hurried after Shandra with a shy smile, something that was rare on her face. "So, hot chocolate sound good? If there is any, anyways." Blade rubbed her hands together to try and get some circulation back into them. She always did have poor circulation so it was easy for Blade to get could.

Kara stared boredly out her bedroom window watching the huge flakes of snow fall from the sky onto the already white ground below. She couldn't help but wonder whos room that had been and why their scent was so familiar. Yawning she went over to her bed and flopped down onto it and stared at the ceiling. "What to do..what to do." Leaning over the side of her bed she grabbed the laptop that was underneath it and put it infront of her and started it up. She connected to the internet through the wirless network that the guy next door had setup and started surfing the web.

Tramping downstairs and being careful to avoid anyone who's first name began with the letter "V", Lance shuffled his way into the kitchen to see what, if anything there was to eat. Tugging open the often sticky fridge door with ease, he knelt down a bit and peered in. His dark eyebrow raised in surprise as there was actually a fair amount of food occupying the shelfs and doors. Guess none of them would have to resort to shoplifting. For food, at least.
Grabbing the fresher looking of the two loaves of bread inside, he picked up some slice ham, cheese, mayo, mustard and anything else that looked like a fair addition to a sandwich. Dumping it all on a clean bit of kitchen counter, he nudged the fridge door closed with his food and proceeded to make himself brunch. The moody teen even whistled softly as he went to work, enjoying the momentary silence he found himself in.

"Mmm, don't go there," said Victoria quietly and shook her head so that only Becca could see. She had never talked to Rouge much about her powers in detail, or anyone else for that matter, but it seemed like a touchy subject. The two had been at least one training battle since Victoria had joined up last Spring, so she knew first hand the damage that Rouge's powers could do, as well as the potentially fatal side-effects for her "'victim" of the moment. "Practicing" with other peoples powers was definitely not something Rouge would take part in. Well, not unless they really deserved it, possibly.

Shandra frowned, more like pouted and let out something like a short depressed laugh, "I can't have hot chocolate..."
If there was ever a time for a little emotional icon of a face to appear above her head now was it. It would have very watery eyes with lips trembling and a whining sound coming out from it. But of course she was in the real world and things like that didn't happen. Of course...considering the fact that mutants live...maybe she was wrong.

Tilting her head to the side, Blade couldn't help but be the least bit curious. "Why not?" She asked innocently. "Are you allergic?"

Sara snapped back to reality as Rogue went into detail about her powers. So far Sara had managed to not come into contact with the other woman and for wich she was really quie proud of herself. After Rogue was done Sara felt she should expand on hers just a bit. "I'm really strong." She said with half a shrug. She couldn't exactly demenstrate that just now seeing as there wasn't anything heavy enough to lift without damaging something else in the process.

Her stomach growled, loudly at that. "Figures." She rolled her eyes and hopped off the bed and went out the door. I'll make some of this pizza roll things and then pop back up here to finish my game. She thought as she quietly went down the stairs and into the kitchen. Kara didn't really notice Lance until she was ready to put her plate in the microwave that he was standing infront of. "Could I get by you real quick?" She asked quietly as she looked down at her plate of food and shuffled her feet, she didn't know if he was still pissy or not...she hoped not.

"Huh? Sure," mumbled Lance, and he had to admit, Kara did a good job of sneaking up on him. He had hardly heard her until she spoke...perhaps being a cat-girl had something to do with it. Scooting over a few paces and pressing himself again the counter, he glanced back at the microwave, figuring he had given her more than enough room to get by. Turning his focus back to the cat-girl he remembered something. "You that thing only works half the time, right?" he said, indicating the microwave.

"Eh," Shandra let out, "You can say that. I can't eat anything that humans have made really...I think the only things are naturally made cheese and butter...and milk, as long as it wasn't pasteurized. Professor Xavier's very nice about that, he has a small shipment brought in for me every week."
"But besides how nice he is," She paused on her walk and gave her temporary companion a wry smile, "Now harder to make apple juice than doing a back flip."

Becca watched Victoria politely, and quietly hint that she should avoid the topic. She nodded only slightly, glad to have Sara speak about her power.
"Strong? That's gotta be useful," she said with a smile as she imagined the girl before her wearing some sort of tight spandex outfit that weight lifters would wear, lifting some impossibly large weight.

She put the plate in the microwave then looked at Lance. "Yeah it's a testy bugger. Only works when it feels the need to." She said as she punched in the amount of time and pressed start. Nothing happened. Kara pressed the start button again and still nothing. Her ears went back and her tail lashed in annoyance, accidently hitting Lance in the shin. "Eep...sorry." This time she punched the side of the microwave then pressed start. The machine started working. "I gotta find a way to sneak a microwave outta walmart that way I can go up to the roof and chuck this peice of crap off of it." She glared at the tempermental machine.

"Yup, sure as heck she's useful," interjected Victoria, and she grinned as she glanced back at Sarah, almost as if she was in awe. After an instant she turned back to face the new girl, nodding her head back toward Sarah. "She's my buddy, she's awesome," Victoria teased and then just so happened to glance up at the clock on the far wall.
"Wow," the brunette mumbled softly, more to herself than anyone else. "We've got to get going," she finished, remembering their plans for the afternoon and debating if she wanted to invite Becca along for the ride or not. "Do you...have any plans for the afternoon?" she asked, her tone curious yet slightly suspicious at the same time.
===
"Exactly," seconded Lance, returning to what he was doing. His tone was civil by Lance standards which was odd. No one would have known Lance and Kara were yelling at each other through an adjoining wall just a few minutes before. "Good luck with the microwave stealing thing, by the way," he continued, taking a hearty bite of his sandwich, leaving the fixings on he counter for the time being. He chewed for an instant before swallowing dryly and wishing he had something to wash it down with. "I know you're got that cat stealth-thing going for you, but they did step up the security a bit ago, but that's nothing a bit of back-up can't handle," he finished with a small, sly grin.

Blade raised an eyebrow in confusion. "Humans . . . made? I'm afraid I don't understand . . . ." The runaway was sure that she had not missed that vital piece of information if Shandra had told her. Now Blade could only ponder what it meant.

Shandra tilted her head. She thought that had been clear but maybe she was just being strange again.
"Like...sodas...and candy...and chocolate...and anything that I couldn't grow or raise without anything else...." Shandra said, "No corn syrup stuff, nothing out of a fast-food place..."
