The two of them tried to repeat the jutsu once more, but failed none the less. Baylonka desided to finaly back down and rest for a moment while watching Hiei.

((yeah sweatdrop ...not that long though, also were all in the class room))
Giglamehs saw as they boy went out and actuly did what he said he was atleats makign attempt to help the other students. If any fell behide it was not going to matter to him because it was up to each to keep up the pace. But if they were to fall behide durring the next lesson, which was his first physcial lesson things would become quite confusing, this was basicly the exact reaon why giglamesh didnt want late comers and why keiko and him made a system to keep them out. But as he read her profile he would see roy was the one which oked her, he would glare heavily and he would get pay back for this one.

"That would not be necessary." She would speak up, a bit briskly. Lady Yokou was still out and may not have realized she was missing yet...but Asternyx had brought all her Academy scrolls. The Hyuuga head had bothered in obtaining a copy of the Academy curriculum for her. Her pale eyes browsed over the first batch of instructions, in neatly written calligraphy. Kawarimi... Asternyx had a fair idea of what this Jutsu does - using chakra to replace one with an object. As she further unrolled the scroll, a small coin dropped out. Yokou-sama sure had made certain that her clan members were prepared. Asternyx tossed the coin on the floor, allowing it to roll a few feet away from her, before emulating the handseal illustrated on the scroll.

Not that she had expected to get this assignment down perfectly on her first try. But that was alright... Asternyx reobserved the handseal drawing, and corrected the positioning of a few fingers. It was just as Shikamori-sensei had said, if one forms a handseal erroneously, no matter how small, the result would either be disaster...or none at all. And for her first attempt, there was no result at all.

Tao watched as the creepy emotionless girl managed to get it right on the second try. Far more interesting than the utter roboticism with which Hiei had approached his technique.
"Bravo, new girl!" he shouted, as he'd been rather out of earshot when she introduced herself... and he wasn't really one to pay attention to names anyway.

The next moment, Asternyx was a few feet away, the coin replacing her old position - which was in her seat. Well, it was good to know some progress was made already. She was among one of the youngest within the Hyuuga refugee group, but she was intelligent. But Asternyx still believed Yokou-sama was praising her a bit too much with the title of 'genius'. The red-haired Hyuuga girl observed her handseal. It would seem to be correct. And then she would close her eyes, allowing a flicker of chakra to pass through. If all went well, she would return to her seat.

Rather unfortunate, but her concentration was disturbed by a loud voice. Her self-control refused any flicker of annoyance on her features. That boy...was as loud and annoying as that Rittou. Asternyx tried the Kawarimi once again, concentrating on her handseal and chakra only - willing herself to shut off all possible distractions.

"You can do it, *!" he shouted, slightly mispronouncing her name. "* all the way!"

Hmph. Well, she was no fool to continue. Asternyx knew that her chakra had run low - the elders' training back at the Hyuuga compound had taught the Hyuuga children to be wary of chakra exhaustion. For one, it could kill. And it was never wise to gamble your life simple for training - after all, if you do kill yourself, all of the hard work and effort would've been put to waste.

Asternyx closed her eyes, in meditation. This helps with her chakra-molding and though she was a Hyuuga, her chakra control was still not very proficient yet. That was fine. With time and training, she would make sure to change that. Drawing energy from the body...power from the mind... The formation of chakra, like the yin-yang insignia.

She had hoped that Yokou-sama would've a chance to train her in Juuken today... But Asternyx supposed that would've to be reserved for after school. The good thing was that the Hyuuga clan had emphasized on spiritual-training from an early age. And so, her concentration when molding chakra was more well-developed than other, non-Hyuuga children her age.

Time passed, but Asternyx could feel chakra returning to her. Steadily, with her heartbeat. Her eyes, closed, saw darkness - her ears equally heard nothing. The power of the Byakugan, lies within wisdom and insight after all... Concentration, on nothing but the formation of chakra. And then she felt ready to try the assignment again.

The first time, she was not close at all - still halfway concentrated upon the formation of chakra, while the other half of her attention was focused on the technique. But she simply closed her eyes - her expression not even betraying the slightest hint of frustration. Frustration will never prove beneficial, and only hampers concentration.

The second time around, she was closer to her goal... But it wasn't still enough. Her concentration still wasn't quite there - though slowly creeping closer to her goal. Yin-yang, the balance of light and dark. If she does not learn how to balance her technique and the chakra channeled - it would not succeed.

The third attempt, she was even closer to success. The Kawarimi, not matter how many times she had seen it, was still fairly knew for her. Shikamori-sensei had shown her the basics, and explained the basics of shinobi techniques. In some ways, rather, the Kawarimi was perhaps even like an early form of a teleportation technique.

And finally, she successfully performed the Kawarimi again. It might've taken a bit longer than expected, but that was alright. Her own pace. Yokou-sama had never minded that, unlike the other Hyuuga elders. Though she was the most intelligent, they always demanded more. Now back in her seat, Asternyx closed her eyes again, concentrating on meditating, not the assignment. For it was time to regain her stamina, before resuming the task at hand.

She had completed most of this assignment fairly quickly, and Asternyx felt she had a fairly well grip on how to work the Kawarimi. But once more, just to make sure...would be necessary, besides being mandatory. For now, she would concentrate on nature - not the classroom, her 'classmates', or even on herself. The only thing that mattered, was her balance with nature

Asternyx opened one eye, eyeing the small copper coin, still lying in the position she was just in a few moments before. This technique, in a way fascinated her. And she wondered, in the farthese corner of her mind... Was perhaps the Kawarimi a precedent of some kind for the Shunshin technique she had watched Yokou-sama so often use?

But, sadly, she was not interested in her classmates - not the slightest. Nor the pitiful fool whom slurred her name. Only scorn she held for those whom cannot greet others properly. Yokou-sama was a primary idol in this manner...being able to memorize names hearing it only once. Not only that, to recognize names with faces... Asternyx wondered if this had something to do with the Byakugan. Perhaps Yokou-sama was affiliating people by their chakra signatures?

Close, very close. She nearly had all of her chakra returned to herself now. Asternyx concentrated on drawing the energy from her body's cells, combining with her spiritual energy, forming chakra. It was so oddly perfect...how well shinobi techniques were balanced. Everything, when it comes down to the basic element, revolves around the universal balance within life.

Just as Yumi was on the brink of frustration and throwing in the towel she tried the jutsu one more time. With a smile she realized she had successfully switched places with the rock. "Yes!" She said loudly. Her eyes got shifty and she nervously looked around. She felt that she had just made a fool of herself in front of her classmates. She collapsed onto the ground as soon as she quieted down. She landed firmly on her butt with a little bit of pain and she winced. She was winded and tired so she took a break.

((Nope, hp is not affected by performing this jutsu. But running laps is. So don't get mouthy with sensei))
"And congrats to you as well... female classmate!" he shouted to the girl who loudly announced her first success to the rest of the class. Tao realized that it would benefit him to end up on a team full of single-syllable names, otherwise there was no way he'd remember them.

Still miserable, her first attempt. But she was getting better as time passed. Her understanding of Jutsus still weren't perfect, of course. And considering that she was at least a year younger than the other students, her ability to easily even out chakra within a technique was also limited. Her command may be poor now, but after mastering Juuken...

Balance... She would have to stop concentrating on simply the drawing out of the molded chakra. Without balance, her chakra would only be wasted, and the execution of the Kawarimi would not be perfect. The slightest imperfection would ruin her technique. Asternyx closed her eyes. She understand now. And she would use this newfound understanding to her advantage.

At last she had finished with the Kawarimi. In the blink of an eye, she was once more away from her seat, her tossed coin having taken her place. The handseal, she had learned to perfect. Drawing out and evening her chakra, she had learned from her mistakes. And to apply that chakra to the technique - at last success. The red-haired Hyuuga girl eyed the clock. She had finished fairly quickly - now for her homework... And she would rest up her chakra while at it.
