Kaosu smiled, stepping up. He was interrupted with his boubi, but he didn't mind. "Kaosu Hokosaki. I want to be anywhere I can be of use, as long as I can fight." He dipped into a bow before raising again. "And fight often." He added, patting the curved zanpakutou at his side.
As the most experienced there, he decided that he'd probably be in the most action, if any at all. Plus, he liked fighting. Sure, he had to fight according to his own rules, but fight nontheless.

Hikari looks around to see who's responding and how they are responding. She doesn't really care where she's place. Perhaps by Aichou's side. If she'd have her fight by her side, she's sure she'll speak on her behalf instead. On the other hand, there were other options. She could use kidou best of those here. If Nagi or the taichou from the library noticed, she might end up where those skills are best used. She holds her zanpakutou close to her chest in her usual embrace. "Will I know your name soon?" "Child. It's about time, and we swear it will be before battle we tell you. If you can hear us, we will join you as never before." Hikari nods. At least it was a pleasant answer. She'd be of far more use with shikai.

Shunketsu had never really learned what were the differences between each squad...all he really knew is that each squad was led by a captain...not like he could distinguish which captains had which particular abilities...they were all relatively the same to him at the moment...people with fancier clothing than him...
"ehh...I don't really know which squad is doing what, but I think my zanjutsu fighting abilities are my best attribute, so maybe I can help out there?"
Shunketsu scratched his head...he was a bit annoyed...here he was, trying to get some graduation requirements in, and an attack comes...but inside, he was more overjoyed than anything else...it was payback time...

Just the thought of an actual battle had Haruko rattled. All she had done up to this point was spars, and she had not done very well in those. She really did not seemed to be made for combat, and her kidou skills weren't the best either, so Haruko's logic left her with on of two places...
"Um... Battle isn't really my strong suit... So I suppose I would be best suited for recon or backup...." Haruko said meekly, shifting her body slightly as she talked, trying to mask her rattled nerves as best she could. She had figured that recon wouldn't see much battle, and if she were to serve as backup, the enemy should be below thier full strength by time she joined any fighting.

Even though Rei had been the first to get out the door, he had stopped so that every one gathered in front of him. "The old man....the top tier around the Gotei thirteen.." Gripping his longert than normal Zanpaktou with a white knuckle grip that could be taken as fear or, more likely at this point, excitment. The boy came up through the crowd, and up behind Kaosu. He plants a free-hand on his shoulder, tilting a slight bow with a wry grin and his glassy and hazy eyes half hidden by half-shut eyelids, giving him the look of a drug fiend. "Rei, Huro! And the same goes for me!" He stated proudly and eagerly, with just enough confidence to let people take him seriously who had not previously known or met him.
"YES! Thats what I'm talking about! Where has this Rei been?"
A voice rang out in Rei's head, only serving to pump him up further.

The woman in red arrives, looking a bit agitated. She turns her head about here and there..and nods to herself. She points at one student..then another. Two she picks out of the groups that are there.
"Hikari. Kaosu. I want you two with me. We're going to be on the front, against the largest force. It's what Eleventh does. We fight, and fight, and fight, until the world sees red! It doesn't matter if the blood is ours, or our enemy's blood. The most important thing is the fight, and the madness it inspires. Anyone else who loves the color of blood and doesn't care if they die, as long as they can tear their enemies apart, then come with me. I don't care about Kidou, or any of that other crap. Come with me if you want to use a SWORD."
Aichou grins her fanged grin..but under the surface, she's not quite as jovial as she seems. Something is wrong..she can feel it. He's near.

Masaru stood amongst the other students, some of them leaving with the eleventh division captain. At this point, he wouldn't really know what he was good for. He fought he could be a good fighter, but he wasn't nearly skilled enough with a sword yet to be of any use to his comrades on the field. In fact, he wasn't really skilled at any shinigami talents at all. He hadn't gone through the hakuda course to see how he would fare in hand-to-hand combat with another shinigami, which would have been his strong suit. Putting those thoughts aside, he spoke up.
"I wish to be placed where I'll be of any use. I don't know where that is, myself, though."
He'd stepped forward a bit to let the captains see him amongst the others. As he stood, he wondered what they would think of him. Maybe they'd judge him on his large size and place him on the front lines. Or maybe they'd have him guard the innards of Seireitei. All he could do now was wait for one of the captains to make a decision.

He held his zanpakutou blade steady as he carved it across the already existing scratch that he had attempted to heal twice, just so he could make it a little bigger, since the healing had partially worked before. He smiled ever so slightly as he stood there and he looked down at his arm as the blood began to steadily leak out of the gash and drip towards the floor. He walked back to the book he had been reading and looked over the incantation again, and anything else he could see about this whole kidou deal. He smiled slightly as he looked it over and he took a deep breath as he lowered his head. He decided that since this particular demonic art did not need physical contact, if he put more scratches on other parts of his body, they should all heal if he projected enough healing energy to his whole body. That would have to be his goal. He closed his eyes and he smiled as he slashed across his left shin, his chest, and his other arm. Blood was steadily dripping from his body now...but it would work.

Haro knew he was defying a direct order, sure, but he had to finish this before he went anywhere, and it didn't really seem like anyone had payed much attention to the fact that he had not left anyways. He smirked to himself and he closed his eyes once more, thinking of the healing energy that he had surrounded his body with before. He would have to concentrate completely and without flaw. He needed to learn to control his reiatsu better, and he needed to learn to use these kidou better. That was why he was here he supposed. He needed to do this fast however, he could not afford to dilly dally. He wanted to get the hell out of this place and with the rest of the students out in the battlefeild...though if he missed squad designation time he would be pretty pissed off. His eyes narrowed as he thought about it, but soon he was back into his concentration. He had to do this.

His eyes almost seemed to glaze over as he stood there, because he was so utterly concentrated upon what he needed to do right now. He was completely and totally zoned in on creating a good result that he no longer cared for what was going on outside of his little area here. He smirked as he breathed in deeply, and as he breathed out he tried to expell the healing energy as he yelled the incantation. "Great whales, white and gray, spurting water of the living from holes of mammals, healing the scalding words of the wise: Healing #1: First Lesson Of Healing!" He screamed as he felt the energy get sent out completely enveloping his body, feeling like some sort of cool breeze. He yawned sleepily as he looked around him and he smiled ever so slightly. "Well look at this." He said to himself as he looked at his arm, the wound was not completely sealed by any means, but it was at least a lot smaller, and as were the ones all over his body. "I am almost there." He said with a nod.

This would be the last and final attempt that he would try. This would be the one that finally worked, and that was for sure. He was going to throw ever ounce of himself into making this work, he would pour every bit of energy into it and he would completely seal off all the wounds. The zanpakutou did a good job of making sure there were semi-large gashes to be taken care of. He smiled, concentrating now not only upon the healing energy, but upon something much more, he was now concentrating on the blood that was leaking down his arm, his leg, his chest, everywhere, he was concentrating on the sting of each individual cut. He was concentrating on everything that he possibly could at the moment, and he was damn sure going to use that concentration to execute this ability, and use it to it's fullest extenet. He was sure after he had learned to use it, he would be able to do it alot better, and not to mention a lot faster.

Haro smiled to himself as he stood there, the sting of the wounds was a little overwhelming when he concentrated in on it the way he was, because it was as if his mind was intensifying the feelings of pain within his body because he was so focused in upon it. The blood leaking out of the wounds felt warm, and he could feel the life in his body leaving him inside of that blood. He closed his eyes and he nodded, he had concentrated now upon the wounds that needed to be healed, now it was time to concentrate upon the stuff doing the healing. He sought after the healing energy within his body and he smiled gently as he stood there and felt its warm preasence. He then grinned as he began the incantation as he expelled the energy. "Great whales, white and gray, spurting water of the living from holes of mammals, healing the scalding words of the wise: Healing #1: First Lesson Of Healing!" He yelled, the energy flying out across his body and he kept his eyes closed and concentrated, when he opened them and looked down, there were no traces of wounds.

Now that that was over, and he had finished up where he was, he slid the book back onto the shelf and he ran as fast as he could, leaving the library where he was and heading off towards the distance, towards the courtyard, and towards the rest of his friends. He had been pretty gappy lately, and hadn't been paying too much attention to stuff, but he was getting back into a rhythm now, and when he burst onto the courtyard he smiled as he heard the man infront of him ask for requests for squads to be sent to. "I humbly request to be sent to any squad that will be present and involved in the heat of battle. I wish to fight, and do so as much as possible. If that is alright with you." He said, giving a slight bow.

"Nya?" Hikari looks at Aichou. The look could be taken as confusion, but she is experiencing anything but. She's crossed swords with this woman. Not very well, but she has. She heard her call for Kaosu and, somewhat surprisingly, herself. Considering her abilities with sword versus kidou, the phrasing Aichou employs is the only confusing part. What Hikari is giving the look for, however, is an underlying unease she senses. She shakes her head. "I'm probably reading too much into it..." With a breath, she quickly changes faces to a jovial one and waves her right hand in the air, still embracing her zanpakutou with her left. "Hai! Ai-chan!" She rushes forward to stand near Aichou, not quite sure what to expect next. After all, she's definitely one she wants to show her shikai to...and she can feel she's ready for at least that.

Rei would let his hand fall to the side, allowing Kaosu to go unhindered. "Anyone who wants to use a sword...unless any of these other Captains see that I should be elsewhere......well....lets try not to think about it..." He thought, running a finger under the black chain that connected the sheath of his Zanpaktou, to the blade handle, letting it sway and nick the ground as he walked over to Aichou's general area. "A sword....I'll fight with my hands if I have to...." He murmured mostly to himself, waving his free-hand to the side. This change in Rei since he had arrived at the academy was something drastic and strange indeed, as if the voice in his head was taking a stronger root....whatever IT really was.
