FanFicGuru Hey everyon! Good news and possibly bad news...here goes: Good news: Rightstuf is having their famous 10 for 50, 25 for 100 sale on ADV DVDs. You will definitely want to take advantage! I saved over 600 dollars on my stuff with the sale. W00t. Possibly bad news?: If you've been watching ANN (Anime News Network) you'll have seen a number of news articles on ADV's recent activity. Things aren't looking good. I'm hoping this is all a bunch of SNAFU's and that we get back to releasing series ASAP. In other news, I took my g/f to San Francisco this last weekend and it was great. Also, I've been watching all the anime in my collection that I haven't touched despite having owned it for like...years. So yay for making the most out of my purchases. See you guys later! I saw you post on ANN when I was lurking the forums. ADV's new isn't looking good. I hope something changes and soon. And thanks for the alert on the ADV sale. just wish I had some money.

If Kin can have several wives (I AM STILL FIRST scream ) then so can I.It's just that skin-eating diseases could possibly be a touchy subject and I would never want to hurt or offend anyone who knew someone who had one. Am I just missing some joke or was I just referred to as a he? emo Sorry, misread the page or two of stuff as well as the reply. I thought that part was responding to an offer by someone else, possibly Atemu.

Did anyone remember to bring up that their website has been hacked at least once or twice before... or that they've lost links in restructuring... Or is ANN in its usual speculative froth? Over the years I've developed a firm policy of taking anything of ANN's that isn't backed up by a press release with several grains of salt. There is a lot of speculation going on. I for one hope that it's more of a technical thing like you are talking about. However, ADV is declining to comment on the retractions on the website at this time. Personally, if it was an internet screw-up, I think it would be a lot easier to say "The site is acting up." then saying "No Comment" to a bunch of titles disappearing off their site. But, that's just me. Whatever it is I hope we get some more information sooner rather than later. In the meantime, hoorah for awesome sales. ^_^

ADV's news is looking just fine, actually. All we've seen so far to fire up the tizzy can be explained as server problems or the site being changed up. For starters, their 15th anniversary is over, despite what the current page says. Also, their site is running insanely slow... even though it has run plenty fast many of the times they've come out with big news. Another sign something funny is up? Air Gear. It isn't in their calendar... even though it has been a huge seller (along with many of their recent releases) and recently just released its last disc. There's a few other titles I noticed missing, most of which are a bit on the recent side. I'd be willing to put some money on there being a need for some kind of restore on part of the site. This is why I don't hang around much on ANN. They speculate in a manner that guarantees the kind of paranoia that keeps their forums hopping to generate advertising hits. They're like the AMC, but just about everyone is an "intelligent reg"... and I mean that in the same sense as the term "prommie".
