reddy2bplayd I dunno why people are like "You shouldn't need a special day to do something nice for the person you love." because that's rarely the case.
I know I don't need a special day for it. I do nice things for my boyfriend as often as I can, and he does the same for me. It's just that there is a day in place meant for it, so why not just go ahead and celebrate it? Actually, if you wait until the day after then all the candy goes on sale. ninja

Universe, see, this is where situational irony comes into play. Since I planned on celebrating Unvalentine's day I should wind up having an amazing Valentine's Day date to make me eat my words. See that would be ******** up my plans, something you're very keen on doing. Welcome to an opportunity to create win for both of us.

I like Valentine's Day. You don't need a boyfriend to celebrate love.

I've always been indifferent towards Valentine's, single or no. I mean, when I was an angsty emo kid back in like, my freshman year I would mope about V-Day, but eventually I got the picture that it didn't really matter and became neutral. Sure, it's just a way for Hallmark and florists to make extra money, but hell, that's what most things are about nowadays anyway, so who cares?
This year is the first year I've had anyone to share V-Day with. He says he makes a big deal of it but I'm not anticipating much -- we're kinda broke -- nor do I really expect much. I picked him up a cute T-Shirt he said he liked, a dorky stuffed animal and some chocolates -- and I don't really care what I get in return. Even if it's just some chocolate, I don't care. I mostly got him a few things since I didn't have any money to get him stuff for his birthday last month. D:
It's really just another day to me, I'm still neutral towards it despite having a hopeless romantic wanting to spoil me. Then again, he spoils me every chance he gets, not just on a special day.

Well, I generally don't care so much about the day. Hell, I generally forget what day it is anyways. It's more that I want to actually have a meaningful relationship for once.

This is the third year in a row that I've gone through something shitty involving a guy right around V-day, so I'm a little more bitter towards the day than I have been in past years. *shrug* I dislike the entire month of February (and January and December, too, for that matter) more than just Valentine's Day, though.
I'd probably like V-day a lot better if there wasn't such a huge focus on romantic love.

Jahoclave Well, I generally don't care so much about the day. Hell, I generally forget what day it is anyways. It's more that I want to actually have a meaningful relationship for once. Understood. That was pretty much my view as well for the longest time.

Bypass the keys.
And then I can.

The only thing left to me is writing and I don't feel in the mood for that.
