3.14 Chromefox I'm 5'5" too, and it's infuriating because my entire family is absurdly tall, so I don't know what happened to me. gonk Shallow end of the pool I guess.
My brother is 6'3"! And he just turned 17! gonk I definitely take after my dad as far as height goes. My older sister is only an inch or two taller than me. And my undeserving brother sucked up all the tall genes, and he's the youngest! crying

I'm the tallest one out of me, my mom, sister, and grandma. When I was younger, I used to pick up my mom when I hugged her. I think it terrified here. Somes times it's good being 6'0".

I find it amusing that I'm taller than my mother and my step-father, but my (half)brother looks to be trying to pass me in height! gonk

In the recent update of "Hey, Answerman!" Zac gave his thoughts on ADV's latest news updates (cancelling Newtype and closing their British office) and I think his last statement hits the nail fairly solid: Quote: Frankly, I think it all speaks to the way things are going right now: not good. We're seeing a dramatic shift in the way business needs to be done. Do I think the R1 industry as it exists right now will continue on? For a while, maybe; obviously there are enough people buying DVDs to keep these companies afloat. But the fact is, and this has been pointed out a bazillion times, that the market has proven that there are a LOT of anime fans who want to watch it but not have to buy a DVD. So they absolutely have to find a way to monetize that, a way to make money off of those eyeballs. I think pessimism about the way things are right now, especially if you're worried about more companies going down or having trouble, is completely reasonable. I don't think the ship is sinking, but it's pretty battered and bruised and we're still navigating the reef and fighting off pirates, and I'm not sure when the coast guard is going to show up. They might not.

@Ashram: Pirates are the poison slowly killing the industry. Like it's been said a thousand times. I mean, look what happened to 4kids and the people who did Ranma... just 4kids is a more recent happening. They lost it horribly, and now they won't handle GX properly and use jokes from the Abridged Series to try to keep a base on it's a** because they aren't done yet.

Some days I wake up and am reminded of WHY I hate the AMC.
You know, so many people are just like "Oh yeah, because the internet is SUCH serious business rolleyes ", but you can hurt someone's feeling's online too and being able to cowardly hide behind anonymity doesn't make it any more reasonable to act like a total jerkface.
Some girl posts in the wrong forum. She doesn't understand what the AMC is, which she makes obvious when she asks. All the following comments consist of "THIS IS SPAM!" and "YOU FAIL!". How hard is it to answer the stupid question so that she understands, and let it die?
It was still awful there when I was a reg, but I can't stand the newer regulars. It's like... ALL they do is spam and troll and say "gtfo" or post name-drop threads. It'll be just like the GD sooner or later.
