Wilhemina Hey Pasta Wilhemina And whoever decided the Shortcuts menu needed to be clicked on instead of mouse-over needs to be shot. DX Did you sit there for two minutes waiting for the script to finish loading too? xd

I was confused about the shortcuts menu yesterday too, I didn't wait long because I have the habit of clicking things after the page loads. sweatdrop
But yeah it's such a stupid idea to switch it to clicking it get into the shortcuts menu. talk2hand
*sigh* Thirty more minutes and I have to get my a** out the door and drive 30 miles, even though I'm almost positive that I've not be picked to be put on the jury.
I just wish I had more money other then what I have for lunch, so I can go to the bookstore and pick up a book or two. crying

I can't read all of this stuff about the Vietnam War without feeling upset. Upset at the atrocities of war. At the communists. At the American government for slaughtering millions of innocent people. At all the women forced into prostitution to serve the US military. The orphans. The widows. My mom's house was bombed; her brother disappeared at sea; her cousin died beside her; my dad's father was imprisoned and tortured. So many stories from that time...
I have these phantom memories from listening to stories of my parents as teenage refugees. And even though I didn't enter their story for another 10 years, I still feel connected to my heritage and their beginnings. I don't even know what the current Vietnam flag looks like - when I think of my parent's home, I think of the old flag with gold and red stripes, representing the division of the North, Central, and South regions.
My parents didn't just leave their home - they lost it, everything it historically was.
I should start putting this in a journal...
Oh well, "what are you thinking" vs journal, same difference.

This music makes me want to learn another language, just so I can appreciate it fully. When the translator admits the she can't get all the poetic nuances into the English translation, it's time to give it a shot.
