I just got a PSP for my Birthday. Kind of a little disappointed, really wanted a DS (really, reallly wanted a Wii), but they were out of stock at Gamestop and I told my girlfriend that a PSP would be cool too. But in retrospect... I don't want the PSP so much. Its a used system so I have to buy my own Memory stick at like some $30 for the basest amount of storage, the game library doesn't impress and the game play is just a scaled down version of the Playstation minus two shoulder buttons and an analog stick.
What would you guys suggest? Should I stick with the PSP or should I go to the Gamestop she didn't go to, see if they have any DSs in stock and just trade this sucker in?
The DS is tempting enough with its damnable online pokemanz!

I mean, I'm really looking forward to the God of War game coming out for the PSP, though I agree that there aren't as many games for it that I'm interested in. I've seen a lot more DS games that catch my interest but it's a matter of the price with some of the games.

Skizzors Streamjumper Skizzors Streamjumper I love the totally vacant look he has when he's in his innocent "that's what Sensei said" assistant mode... I like his teeth heart Good morning, Mala. No but seriously? Creepyface up there is distracting me from my homework. It looks like he should be scaring me but he's too damn adorable. <3 I should harass you with my Neuro mule. xd

I'd suggest the DS. The PSP isn't awful or anything, but the DS is my favorite handheld ever, and there are too many games available that I'd kill for... crying The battery life is impressive given the system's screens, the controls are pretty comfortable, and the double screens make for some quirky little things in games. It's pretty awesome. Not to mention I partially believe a few people at Sony could use a good kick in the-

The DS is tempting enough with its damnable online pokemanz! Honestly, coming from an owner of both, I play my PSP far more than the DS. Then again, I also have the unit modded and pirate some games so as not to live beyond my means monitarily, so I might be a bit of a hypocrit here. There are some very good games for the PSP if you like RPGs, and the MG:Acid games are a surprise and joy to play. There's also the remake of Valkyrie Profile, Radiant Mythology, Disgaea, and a few others. I will admit though, that there's little going on in the new ideas department, but that's kind of hard to do with 'old' hardware with the way developers work these days. Can't make 'TEH SHINEH L33T GRAFIX' like on the consoles.
