I'm seriously thinking about just ******** dropping this damn poetry class. This is the second time she hasn't put any of my poems on the sheet to be workshopped. Other people get both of their poems and I don't get s**t. And the only thing she ever writes on my stuff is "I'm not sure about this." Hell, it's like it can't be poetry unless it's got some sort of ******** nature reference in it. Some of this s**t my teacher last semester actually liked. If I'm going to have to sit in that class and miss half of practice for this s**t, I see no reason to waste my time.
That and the class is full of a bunch of pretentious ********, do these people not understand that there is a reason nobody ******** reads poetry anymore? Perhaps it's because it's all the same boring nature imagery bullshit that people don't give a ******** about. Do these people not notice that Dr. Seuss and Silverstien are the top poets? I'm not going to write ******** poems that I can't even stand to read.

Maybe it's time you just published some and waggled your paycheck in their faces? domokun
And somehow I've discovered I like this silly brown MTV jacket. I do like jackets that cut off sleeves.

I really want to be able to draw again like I used to. I used to have no problem sketching out picture after picture. Sure I was worse then, not that I'm so much better now, but jesus, I can hardly even complete a SKETCH. Ugggghhhhh. Where's all my inspiration? I'm letting all my "talent" rot away. Such a freaking waste. -___-;;
But at least there's some good news. Finally.

Is it Friday yet? I'm ready for this week to be over.
If there's clothes in the washing machine tomorrow when I go to do my laundry, I WILL kick someone.

They b***h about how nobody reads poetry or buys poetry and defend their stuff with this pomposity about meaning and imagery all the while Silverstein is making out like a bandit. You can put meaning and entertaining together. And I'm sorry if I don't want to put down more lines about how exciting nature is to me. For a bunch of people who ascribe to "make it new" it all comes off sounding exactly the ******** same. Hell, the Victorian poets are more exciting then this contemporary bullshit. At least they had sexy poems. And damn, my story is almost five thousand words, and that's before editing, which the last part is definitely going to get.

...still nothing on ideas.
Every time I sit down to write I end up daydreaming about other things.

Poetry generally tends to be like roleplayers.
RP'ers generally tend to suck really, really bad, and think they're awesome, or whatever the hell...
or there's pompous assholes who do cliche storylines and predictable s**t over and over.
And way too dramatic/descriptive.
Of course, there's always a few exceptions.
But you get the idea. <3

D: How did I ever make art in the past? It just seems like such a foreign process to me anymore. Sigh. Someone send me some inspiration!

We should start celebrating "Creative Block Week" here in the guild at the beginning of every February. Or we could celebrate "Seasonal Depression Season" and blame all of our troubles on that.
I've found that if I sit around and wait for inspiration, it never comes. It seems to help if you force the s**t out. Then after awhile, the stream becomes unclogged and the fresh ideas flow.
Jotting a new idea down is pretty easy. The challenging part for me is developing it and working out the kinks. But if you keep pushing through the blockage, even if you don't like what you've done, it at least leaves a clear path for you to go back and fix things.
