Yuna brushed his gloved hand across the dust, tattered walls of the temple. He strolled along this winding corridor. Finally he came across an open gateway, that clearly had an 8-headed serpent etched on it's central plate. The plate was rustically gilded, it's emblems gave Yuna a rough idea on when this temple was erected and who did it. However, it seemed so trivial to him now, he was so close to the Kusanagi he could taste it.

String_Theory Akira had kept goo pace and when Shinji freed himself he was next to Shinji within seconds after he stood with his weapon drawn. Akira took up a taijutsu position next to Shinji and said, "I can take her from here Shinji-san, I've done it before. I'll just have to go full speed again." Taki waited beneath the spider as the battle started, she would make her move when she deemed it right, until then she would remain hidden and silent.... Chiyo watched Shinji dash away with a face full of worry and regret. Then she spoke to Akira as if she knew him well. "That boy...I only ever did what I though would help him. Now he pushes me away."

Renta dashed through a random corner, only to fall through a trap door. It caught him off guard, but he managed to gain footing before he landed. He noticed he wasn't alone. A youngish bespectacled man stood before him. No questions asked, Renta charged him.

Silly Genji Asakura, now fully clothed, walked next to Sabu. "Does your coin say where we need to go now. I don't know about you, but to me, it seems that we are lost." Sabu flipped the coin again. It bounced down the passage they were walking and then stopped. Sabu waltzed over and picked it up and furrowed his brow. "It seems to be directly above or below us. Do you have any way of getting through?"

String_Theory Nova Blancke Dragon Sneeze As Onryou's sword stabbed toward her head, Ifuuki vanished in a puff of smoke revealing a log where she was standing. "Some of the oldest tricks are the best." The sword in her hand continued to pull away from her and would prove to strain her muscles if she hadn't exerted control over the area. "Fast aren't you? Then I suppose escape is out of the question?" Tobasu reached the place where Ifuuki and Onryou were fighting. He regretted to see her fighting actually. But joining in on the fight would only cause chaos. That other fella might consider him to be an enemy if Ifuuki plays it right. Afterall they both knew eachother. So for the time being he watched the fight. He remained hidden but perhaps Ifuuki would spot him regardless. "It would seem my jutsu is ready now," Onryou said, "Watch you step." Flashback At the same time that he spun the sword in the air he brought his hand together in a string of seals that was so fast it was barely visible before he caught the sword the air and said, "Doton: Diamond Minefield" as well as "Doton: Exploding Earth Spires" (no translations for those yet). At that instance, the spot under Ifuuki exploded in a hail of diamonds. if she was caught in it it would surely shred her quite thoroughly. Onryou's plan seemed to be to imply destroy Ifuuki's body as completely as possible so many times that she ran out of chakra to recover and was using jutsus specific to that aim. Behind Tobasu a female voice said, "Amazing to see two people of that level fight isn't it?" The voice belonged to Kira, how stood behind Tobasu with Kasa over one shoulder and her free hand on her sword hilt. "So the question is, who's side are you on?" Ifuuki felt the pressure below her feet and predicted what was about to happen. She had been caught. Again. Her lust for the final piece was making her act sloppy. She had no choice but to pull out her emergency trump card. "Kaimon!" Ifuuki shouted and shot forward at unbelievable speed and shot a fist into Onryou's stomach. The shards bounced harmlessly on the ground robbed of their target.

Sabu clasped his hand and nodded. "Better get going. I bet Muuga is loose by now." Sabu began to set up a an explosive tab and gave one final comment. "Take care of him for me will you? He may be an insane murderer but he's still my friend. I hope to bring him back one day."

As Akira moved through the streets he felt something stirring, something deep within him moving for the first time.
"What is this..." He whispered, forming a seal and walking towards the centre of the village.
His mind flashed images before him; a boy playing in the strett, Sakura blossoms, eating sweets with his friend, graduating the academy, high fiving in the street, showing off his forehead protector...
"Who is he..." Akira gasped, his mind grasping for his name, the boy who Akira seemed to have spent so much time with,
"His name is Raika..." Ryou explained.
"He draws closer." The ring added, warming slightly.
"He... is here?"
"He's been following us for some time, Akira."
"What does he want with me?" Akira queried.
"He wants to kill you."
"No..."
Akira formed two more seals, his arms raised to the sky, his face no longer emblazoned with a smile.
No, now there was only sadness.
Now there was only sadness, decay and degredation.
"This is what I have become..." He said, tears rolled down his face solemnly, his lips tried to smile, his eyes tried to glisten, but both failed miserably.
As his tears hit the floor a terrific rumbling could be heard, a violent tremor shook the entire village.
"I am no more..." Akira hissed, concentrating his chakra, his body shaking wildly.
From the ground, tiny cracks formed into larger cracks, and soon a network of tiny canyons interlinked throughout the city.
"Akira, what is this?" Ryou asked kindly.
"That man... is no more." The Shinyuudai sighed, flicking his hands slightly.
Each chasm trembled, then spewed forth a torrent of water, a rising waterfall.
The water joined to form a great disk overhead, stretching to each corner of the village, covering it like a blanket.
His body felt empty, his chakra was almost gone, but still he strived on.
Two seal, fuuton.
The water compressed tremendously, a large potential force built behind it, ready to jackhammer it downwards.
"This is what I'd always planned..." he smiled.
Two more seals, then three, and then one.
The water shook hesitantly, then a roaring filled the ears of anything and everything nearby.
The man looked up, the water came down on him hard, crushing him beneath it, taking the entire village to the grave.
Shinyuudai Akira is dead.

Landing him right in front of Chiyo. He rolled into another flip, meaning to lock his leg under her shoulder once he was behind her, drag her into the air and flip her around, slamming her on her back on the spider's back.

Kira smirked at Tobasu as she watched the battle unfold. "You're talking about a man who walked through battles of the Boshin War like they were a playground. He has tricks you've never dreamed of. If he wanted, I could barely touh him."
The Onryou that Ifuuki punched just grabbed Ifuuki as it exploded in a blast of fire.
Onryou appeared in a flash of smoke, "That technique you use to bring you body back together. It has to use chakra depending on the amount you have to regenerate I would think. Which means that most of my killing blows won't hurt you that much, a single hole in your heart or lung takes on a second to heal and not much effort. I just have to do as much damage to you're body as possible each time I hit you."
Onryou sighed as he put his sword away as he said, "Which means that sword wounds won't help me too much. You have to run out of mana at some point Ifuuki, and I'd bet money you're using it faster than I am."
"I wonder how much chakra it takes to force microscopic ogranisms out of your blood?" Onryou said as he took up a neutral taijutsu stance, holding one kunai in each hand, a lind of blood running down each of the knive's tips, Onryou's blood.
