Yes, totally. And I'm hecka bored 'cause the teachers are freakin' uncooperative (though I should be supporting them...). They posted two videos on YouTube of their strike, actually. Hey... I should watch them. xd

Oh wow, teachers on strike?! Thats the stuff I hear about, but it never actually happens! I wish my teachers would go on strike, then school would be cancelled...but then we'd probably have to make it up, so I guess I'm happy they don't. Besides, the teachers at my school all, for the most-part, love the school, so they wouldn't anyways.

My senior year in high school I remember rumors that the teachers might strike. Apparently it got all figured out in time. Any other year I'd have been fine with it, but senior year, you just want to get out of there and on with your life.

I remember that. xp Honestly school isn't so bad. I didn't mind the work or the teachers to much it was the other students. Honestly most people if they had the choice between school or hard labor for the rest of their life, would choose school. Support the teachers too. Believe it or not, most don't go in for the money and the ones that do are the worst teachers.

I know what you mean about the teacher's, they really aren't our enemies like most people say. I feel bad when students treat teachers bad, especially new teachers and substitutes...which reminds me, one time my english 10 class made a sub cry!!! They were talking and completely ignoring her so she called some officer and he came down and took the main trouble-makers out and she started crying the second he walked in, saying we were wild and out of control!!! I know we could've been nicer, but it's not like we were flipping desks over and running around, which sounds like fun, lol! Anyways, I just sat through it all, reading. Honestly, I love some of my teacher's, and it's good to be friends with them so they can write good recommendations for college. About the work though, I don't mind, honestly, I just can't stand math!!! I'm good with words, but numbers and formulas, so not my thing.

Yeah, I know. Teacher's in my school make 51,000 a year minus taxes. (My government teacher showed us his paycheck to demostrate taxes and all that junk one day.) I am surprised that the teachers around the US haven't went on one big strike together. I would laugh so hard if that happened. (My sense of humor is twisted, I know)

Yeah, most don't do it for the money, but they are talking about money and the curriculum. It's very annoying. Even though I support the teachers and everything (I think I'm "required"), the teachers in my district are one of the highest paid educators in the state... area. Though if they also live in the city, the pay isn't really enough. It sucks, really. In June/July, I went to Yellowstone and the gas there was.. like... $4.05 to $4.30 per gallon or something. And when I came back home, the gas was $4.60 or something. And with the money that would buy a 4bed 3bath 3000square ft house on a quarter acreage of land here, you could buy a 4bed 4bath 5000 square ft house on like, a acre of land in Texas. That's actually a big difference considering the house here would be 30 years old with laminate, carpet, and all that jazz, and the house in Texas would be new, high-techy, real granite, "designer" (sorta) and all that good stuff.

I know what you mean. Where I live, we are like the place with the most jobs besides NYC, I think. It's super expensive where I live for everything. (Plus the next county over from mine has the 2nd or 3rd highest crime rate) Luckily, we never reached over 4 dollars for gas. Always right under three.

 And they said:

 Hello,

We're sorry you've experienced a problem on Gaia! Our developers are aware
of that issue, and are taking steps to resolve it. Unfortunately, we cannot
offer a timeframe as to when you will be able to successfully save your
account preferences again, so your patience is appreciated.

It's already been three days, which admitedly isn't too terrible, but how long am I going to have to wait until I can get Daily Chances again? It's been MONTHS and gifting still isn't fixed. How much money am I going to be cheated out of? My mule can't receive hers either. To be on the safe side, my advice to you all is to avoid going into Preferences to change your password (or anything else) because that's what I did and now I'm screwed.

That teacher called my stepmom, told her my stepbrother is too smart for her class(they want to move him from 2nd to 5th or 6th!), and the teacher is considering retiring because of him. The way he corrected her was wrong but the fact that he, being an 8 year old, was able to do so is hilarious.

I taught my sister positive and negatives at age six, but that didn't mean she had to skip grades. Geniuses should be entitled to advancement in life, however, by putting them away from people their age it causes making friends to be more difficult than it already is.
My teachers and parents seriously considering advancing me by a year or two when i was 9 because my entire life I'd passed with 100% in every subject. They decided not to because they didn't think I could handle it emotionally. I cried almost everyday because other children teased me so cruelly. I'm glad I didn't skip since i wouldn't have the friends that i do now if I was years ahead in school.

Yeah, when they tried to make me skip, I refused. People all the time ask me why I don't and it was because I didn't want to. I can still take advance classes without skipping a grade. And that's what I do =D.
