"We'll be there in no time flat in this baby," Rogue said in answer to Victoria's question about how quickly they could get to the mall. She had figured they'd probably end up doing something on that side of town, so she'd headded in that direction the moment she'd left the mansion. She pulled up to a stoplight and signaled a right turn with the blinker. As soon as the light turned green she was around the corner and on course for the mall.

"Sweet check the roller coaster..... Hey were here" Dairus said just as the bus stopped in front of the circus and him, Kidd, and a few other random people with their kids got off. He spotted the ticket booth surprisingly there was not too much of a line. "Do you want one of those go-anywhere-wristbands or just a buttload of tickets?" he asked Kidd as they waited in line.

Owen stared openmouthed at Tobias, then he shrugged and let out a sharp hiss. The roaches scattered as though they had never massed, and Owen walked stiffly past Tobias. As he passed him, he considered throwing the can at his fat head anyway, but his mind cautioned him, and his stomach agreed; why waste food? Besides, with that kind of attitude, he'll find a knife in his back before too long. He reached the end of the alley and paused to root though some trash until he found a plastic bag, where he put his ravioli cans. Much better than hiding cans in your threadbare clothes; a lot less suspicious-looking too. As Owen boldly walked out and joined the trickle of humanity flowing down the sidewalks, he let his mind wander back to the boy in the alley. 'Mundane?' 'Losers?' 'Not human?' What kind of hospital was that kid playing hooky from? What was he doing there anyway? The way he jumped down my throat, you'd think he was the one who.... He almost stopped dead in his tracks as the possibility hit him. He just sighed and continued on; it wasn't any of his business anyhow.

Tobias dropped into a half-crouch, ready to flee or fight, when the van pulled into the alley. Whether its occupants knew it or not, they'd just cut off his escape route, and that made him very, very nervous. The temperature in the narrow space began to noticably rise even as the dumpster's paint smoked and curled away from his hand. Tobias knew that this display would only make anyone watching instantly associate him with the fire; the frustration and anger at that realization only made his powers intensify. The alley had become almost uncomfortably warm, and the dumpster's surface acquired that distinctive sheen steel gets when greatly heated. Tobias cursed quite fluently. A simple prank had gotten out of hand, and now there more even more people to be dealt with. "What the bloody hell are you doing?!" He snarled at the kids getting out of the van, hoping desperately that his belligerent nature would distract them long enough for him to get himself back under control.

Kidd's eye were dazzled by the bright lights of the roller coaster and the ferias wheel. She loved to go on rides, she only realised that they were there when the bus jerked to a stop. Kidd hopped off and was bouncing with excitement. "Oh the go-any-where things! I want to go on everything twice! Oh my god I can't wait!", she hopped behind Darius as the line slowly inched forward. She was going to eat so much candy and pop cord, and try everything she could before they closed the gate. Hopefully Darius was prepared for a long hall.

Kevin and IBen got out of the van and followed Conner and Mori. Then he saw that two people were outside waiting for them. "Um, what? Are you the one responsible for the fire?" Kevin said in response. They didn't have time to deal with people like this. If some needed help and was in the fire, they needed to help.
"So, what exactly are we going to do when we arrive at the mall?" Tabitha asked to Rogue and Victoria. She wasn't exactly sure if they had everything mapped out. "What's our game plan?"

the line finally started move fairly fast after a large group of hyper kids and one parent finally got everything taken care of. He bought one of the free pass to anything and paid the guy selling the tickets. the booth guy look like he was having a bad day, so dairus tried to make it easier on the poor guy. The booth guy looked thankful that he took the wrist bands and not the tickets. Dairus turned toward Kidd holding one of the bracelets, ready to put on Kidd's wrist, his own already on

Damion shrugged as he was offered a spot in the front seat. It was an adequate responce to any situation after all. "Jill it might be about time you admitted that you have a n addiction." He said casualy in reference to Jillian's whole DDR storming down the stares incident.

Albel watched the van as it went by the building and into the alley. It didn't take a genius to guess that the van and its occupants were not normal people. The only normal people who would drive toward a fire like that in a van would be a news crew, thieves, or idiots; the first is thrown out due to the vans looks and the way its hiding from public view. The second is a possibility some people can be pretty desperate. The third option was another possibility, some group trying to get involved in an affair they shouldn't. Either way it wasn't normal and needed to be looked into.
Albel edged closer acting like every other idiot in the vicinity and pointing at the fire. After a few faked sympathetic remarks and several short steps he was close enough to the alley to see the people and almost in hearing range. With a glance he could make out several teenagers near the van all staring at something, another figure standing father down the alley. So some damn teens and a...TOBIAS!? What the hell is he doing here, and who are those teens, Albel thought hastily. This is becoming interesting, lets see how it develops.

"Game plan?" Rogue asked glancing at Tabby though the rear view mirror, "Since when do we have a game plan when it comes to the mall? I figured we'd go shopping, maybe hit the food court or a movie. Basically, just have fun." She looked over at Victoria, "That sound about right?"

Marking the start of summer vacation, Bayville's one and only shopping mall was, as expected, packed to the brim with teens and young adults of all kinds. Some where there to shop, as having an up to date summer wardrobe was considered 'in', but most others were there simply to kill time as well as escape from the heat. Either way, it could easily be said that Bayville mall had, at that moment in time, the highest concentration of people within a ten mile radius, making it the perfect spot for some mid-afternoon chaos...
Though a quick look at the mall and its surrounding area showed nothing out of the ordinary, a view of the roof would have revealed something different entirely.
The roof was on fire. No. Not on fire, exactly, but rather there was a fire hovering unchecked some seven feet above the roof's surface. If that alone was not terrifying enough, the sight of an young, orange haired teen psionically bending and twisting the fire as it streamed freely from flamethrowers attached to either wrist was bound to turn heads.
The trademark psychotic laughter of no one other then Pyro, the mutant master of fire, filled the air as the flame rapidly grew larger in size. The smile on the young Australian's face widened into a full fledged grin as the fire, now spanning over half of the roof, morphed from a lifeless blob to one resembling that of a large, winged fire demon.
Pyro's eyes shined with that of a small child in a candy store as he looked gleefully upon his masterpiece. Almost as if on cue, the fire demon stood up to its full height and flexed it's wings before breathing a deep, fire filled roar into the afternoon sky. Cackling madly as neighboring trees caught fire, he could only image what waves of destruction he could inflict on this town. Less then 60 seconds he had been loose in Bayville and he could already hear the screams of panic coming from ground level; give him ten minutes and who knows how much pandemonium he would stir up...
OOC: Yes, this is part of a mini-plot we schemed up...

((yay for pyro!!! <3 ))
Once everyone was in the car she pulled out of the driveway and they were on their way. It took less then five minutes to get to the highway and once on the highway she hit 100mph. At one point Zion glanced out the passanger side window after something caught her eye. It was the Bayville mall's roof that looked as if it was on fire. She slowed the car enough not to anger drivers behind her but, since the highway was close enough but not right on top of the mall, to see what was causing the fire and in their passing she saw the orange haired youth. "Well...that's interesting.." She said semi-boredly and sped back up keeping on to their original destination, unless anyone said otherwise.

((100 mph??????!!!!!!! gonk crying ))
Lizz rode in the back in a state of near panik. "........" She opened her mouth at one point to ask Zion to slow down but couldn't seem to make herself talk. Mainly because she had caught a glimps of the speedometer. She just clamped her eyes shut and prayed for them to make it to their destination in one peice.
