"I'm sure," Trey said, leaving them. "Where to?"

"Not much to do, until they've talked of what they need to." Mordranna said. "I suppose we can take in the sights in the meantime," she offered. "I didn't really get to sight-see the last time I was here. A shame, as this is a beautiful world," she pensively commented.

Kelrek Solms stepped out from the shade a spur of Stone jutting from the Mesa's surface, clad in his modified Sepratist Commando Armor, his rifle hanging from it's strap at his side.
"Darksun." Solms stated, his voice filtering gear producing a stale tone. "I was wondering when you would show up. I was getting a tad bored."

Cale's eyes behind the dark material of his glasses were unreadable as he stared down the armored hunter.
His faced was locked in the bland expression of a well practiced poker face.
"Can't say I'm sorry to keep you waiting, but I had some affairs I had to get into order."

Solms nodded.
"I'm sure. I suppose its not that surprising that you're ready for death. On this field, it's certain."
Solms tossed aside his rifle and his hand dropped down to brush aside the hem of his outfit to reveal a pair of Blaster pistols hanging in low-slung gunslinger's holsters at his hips.
Neither were the DT-57 he was known to use.
"You're familiar with Mer-sonn's DD6, I assume." Solm's remarked.

Cale nodded.
The DD6 was Mer-Sonn's Answer to the DL-18. It was more powerful and a stronger design than the DL-18, a fact that made it a popular Military Sidearm.
And he had two of them.
Cale wasn't sure which he'd reach for first, or if he'd draw both.
But Cale wasn't completely outgunned.
"Just so you know, Solms: I have an SST pack loaded. Spin Sealed Tibanna. Even from a DL-18, that kind of punch will pierce your armor clean through."

Solms chuckled.
The Tibanna pack would melt his blaster in one shot.
If the Outlaw missed, or didnt take Solms down with that one shot, Cale was his.
"Then its down to the fast-draw. No lightshields, no hidden defenses, just blaster pistol against blaster pistol. It will be satisfying to take you down at your own game, just so you can spend eternity with the knowledge I was better than you."

The outlaw's hand dropped to hang by his pistol.
He was aware that he would only get that one shot from his blaster.
But he was sure of his skill.
He was a pro Blastslinger. He knew exactly what he was doing.
"Yeah yeah. I got the rules. I may be prepared to die, but that doesn't mean I'm planing on it."
He locked his gaze upon the center of Solm's visor.
"Ready when you are."

"Very well then. I supose I'll have to start the Count down. On three."
He matched the outlaw's stare, his hands hanging by his pistols.
"One..."

Cale remained calm, focused.
His eyes focused on Solms, yet watched around him as well, waiting for the clue that Solms was drawing.
"Two..." he called out.

"Three."
Solm's hands darted for his guns as his helm locked on Cale and in an instant his blasters had cleared their holsters.
He fired, twin bolts screaming down range.

By the time Solm's hands gripped his pistols, Cale's blaster had cleared the holster.
And by the time Solm's had pulled his triggers, Cale's bolt had struck his chestplate, directly where the heart would be in a human.
Cale held his position as the bolts, thrown off by the impact of Cale's shot, flew past him harmlessly.
He twirled his blaster pistol, cooling the now ruined barrel of his DL-18, and then slid it back in his holster.

As the bolt hit, burning through the chestplate of the armor that served him well for so many years, Kelrek Solms, bounty hunter, mercenary, and upholder of the Galaxy's laws, gnashed his teeth as the impact rocked him off his heels.
Everything went black before his body even hit the ground, his pistols scattering from his limp hands.
His rifle, his prized companion since he first took up the Bounty Hunter's life, lay just outside of his reach.

Cale drew his DC sidearm from his jacket and edged closer to the corpse of the hunter.
Curiosity beckoned. And Cale answered.
He stuck his pistol in his belt, knelt over the prone Kelrek Solms and removed the man's helmit.
Behind the mask, Kelrek Solms was a dark skinned humanoid with tattooed markings under his eyes and his dark hair cut militarily short.
A Kiffar.
"That explains a lot." He muttered as he dropped the helmit.
He looked over the body of Kelrek Solms and shook his head.
"Clear skies, mate." He muttered as he strolled off to his ship.
within minutes he had powered the Auric Runner up and within half an hour he was away into hyperspace, enroute to join back up with his fleet.
One more task accomplished.

Night fell upon Ord Mantell.
It had been over six hours since Cale and Solms had did battle, resulting in the motionless form upon the mesa.
And then, it stirred.
Solm's eyes snapped open.
He lurched into a sitting position and steadied himself, still feeling a tad dizzy.
"Damn Metabolism surpession pellets. Sure they make a convincingdeath, but they dont mention the Nausea when you wake up..."
The hunter felt about his chestplate until he found the hole the Tibanna powered bolt had scored on him.
It had gone clear through the durable armor and through his bodysuit, but failed to penetrate the armorweave vest he had slid on under his bodysuit.
"Sloppy Darksun. Very Sloppy." he remarked with a smirk.
Standing up slowly, he picked up his rifle and his helmit.
"Well, its over." He stated to himself as he walked to the edge of the platform. "Never thought I'd live to see the day I retired from Bounty Hunting. But with the Money Drako payed me, theres no need to keep doing this, to keep risking my life like this."
He reached the edge of the mesa and lept off, landing on a ledge just three meters down which concealed his airspeeder from view. He powered the vehicle up and nosed it towards the old water station that he used as his home.
"No more bounty hunting. Maybe start up my own buisness. The idea of a Private investigator sounds mighty tempting..."
