Anna-Marie realized she was frustrating him. Good. She was just repaying the favor. She rolled her eyes at his response. " What do you care if I am shoved around. It's not like any of the Death Eaters, or their children care. Why would you be any different?" She challenged.
To be honest, Anna-Marie endured her treatment. As long as her family was alright, she could almost care less about how she was handled by the Carrow's and the little student minions they had. Right now, they were more important than herself. However, there were sometimes she did fight back. The times that mattered more for her own safety than her family's. That was something she wasn't going to reveal to Jake.

Megalyn BroadwayStar Elle shook her head. "The last thing I remember was the night Hagrid took me to Kingsley's. We met Professor McGonagol there and they covninced him he was the only one that could protect me...from the Death Eates." she paused a moment to take in a deep breath. "The first nights I was there I remember these horrible nightmares with people screaming these horrible screams and flashes of green light. And then it would feel like snakes were crawling through my bed and hissing things in my ears." she paused again to hold her emotions in. "I was scared to run to Kingsley's room because I knew he thought I was an inconvenience. Something he had to put up with until I was old enough to come here. To Hogwarts.". Then she ran hwer fingers through her hair and pulled herself back to reality and to the present. Cam listened to her story. It was hard to imagine, and he knew she could use the comfort, so he put his hand lightly on her arm. "That sounds horrible...I'm sorry I can't help, or that the memories can't either."

"Because you're making it harder on me to do my frickin job!" He snapped/shouted. For a second he stared at her, breathing heavily as their conversation overwhelmed his feelings. Then he threw up his hands in defeat, turned around and grumbled to himself.

Raven and Draco walked around the halls, looking for someone they knew to chat with, preferably someone else in the DA. "We haven't had a meeting in a while." Raven said holding Draco's hand as they walked. "I think it's time that we had one. Maybe that will make you feel better."
"Maybe, but for some reason the fact that Daniel won't accept my apology is eating at me. I know I don't deserve to be forgiven, but after everything we said to prove it he still dismissed the possibility." Draco said as they stopped on top of the East tower. He gazed out onto the grounds, looking for anyone who may of be good company.

Anna-Marie raised an eyebrow at that statement. Of course she would make things harder for a death eater. However, it seemed as if he was possibly referring to something else. She paused and thought a moment as he was turned around. Reaching up, she grabbed the hilt of his sword, which was still stuck in the tree. She pulled with all her might and it finally came free of the trunk. She walked up behind him and tapped him on the shoulder, hoping he would turn around. Her hand was holding his sword out for him to take, while she was looking at him curiously. Anna-Marie bit her lip for a moment before she spoke. "Tell me a reason why I shouldn't make it harder for you to do your job. Or, even why you're doing this whole Death Eater thing. It doesn't have to be specific...Just let me know so I can work with you...As long as it's a good enough reason, that is..." She finished, giving him a half smile.

Devin had just sent a 3rd year Gryffindor flying into a door that cracked under the added weight and fell apart. He was breathing heavily with intense rage but never felt any better in his life. Despite having been badly beaten by a fellow Dark Lord Supporter and his b***h friend, he felt much better.
And then he turned a corner. His eyes set upon both Raven and Draco. Good. Draco was already a Death Eater so maybe he could settle this with the back stabber. "Draco!" He called out harshly, though in the same tone he usually took with Death Eaters.

Jake hesitated. He was calmed by her half-smile, wondering if she would just accept his apology and an insufficient answer. Professionally speaking, he wasn't authorized to openly discuss his job, anymore than that he was to become a Death Eater. "I'm sorry. You just have to accept that I volunteered for this." He turned around when she tapped his shoulder and he took his sword, sheathing it, and looking at her with a serious look. "I can't say what I have to do."

Anna-Marie sighed, biting her lip once again. "I'm not asking you to tell me what you have to do, Jake...I'm just asking you to tell me that you don't agree with them..." She decided to leave the statement vague. That way, if anyone tried to read her thoughts, or his for that matter, it would come up like that. "If you do agree with them, then I don't know if I could make things on my end easier for you..." This was for obvious reasons.

Draco and Raven both spun around quickly, shocked to find Devin coming up behind them.
"What do you want now, Devin?" Raven said seriously. She knew he was about to have words with them about the duel.
Draco gazed at Devin as he approached them. "Look, before you begin, you must know something." he said holding out his hand in assurance.

Jake shook his head. "I don't." He said quickly, and above all else, honestly. "Simple as that." Then he paused a bit and, stroked his chin slowly and in wonder. "Though...it would be a plus if I were able to get girls faster. Certainly the ones in the Slytherin House who denied me earlier..."

Devin looked at Draco's hand weirdly as if it had been covered in goo...or something. He ignored it completely stopping in front of the couple, not knowing their true allegiance at all. "Can you explain to me why Christopher Odgen, one of us..." he emphasized the us, but pointed at himself with his entire left hand, jabbing the fingers into his chest. "...protected and helped one of those who would stand against us?"

Anna-Marie smiled at him, not able to help herself, she flung her arms around Jake. She was considerably happier than before. She didn't know what to say, that is, until he mentioned a Slytherin girl. "Wait, what? Who are you talking about?" She asked immiediately, for she was a Ravenclaw. No way he'd be referring to her in that statement. Anna-Marie blushed, realizing her arms were around him. If he wanted a Slytherin girl, her hugging him would make things more awkward. So, she let go and took a step back, not apologizing though.

"So you know about Christopher, but you don't know the full story." Raven said with a smile, her arms crossed against her chest. She glanced over at Draco. "Would you care to inform him of the plan? Our plan that is." she said nodding, her eyes closed, and still smiling.
Draco chuckled. "I suppose the git deserves to know." He said with his former flare. "Christopher is indeed in alliance with us. Well, I should say with those who aren't already marked, like Raven. She's the leader of the up coming group who remain undercover." He said putting his hand on Raven's shoulder lightly. We want to give the mudbloods a false sense of hope, so we are undercover as their friends." He said laughing heartily. "There is but one reason that we have not asked that you do as we do, and that's because you're so good at being evil." Draco said taking a few steps toward Devin. "So speak of nothing, and treat us as if we were equals, which we are undoubtedly, Devin. You will be rewarded if you do not blow this for us." He said holding his hand out for Devin to take as a brother.
Raven drew level with Draco, and Devin. "I apologize for not having informed you before. I didn't think that you would be interested in even pretending to be friends with one of them." She said rolling her eyes. "You have no idea how much torture we've put ourselves through. Draco's had a crap time trying to convince them that he's a good guy. So many empty apologies, and my ears nearly bleed from them." she said laughing at her fiancé softly.
"Yes, well as it is, you've got a knack for telling lies. You're amazing at it. If it weren't for you, well I wouldn't have managed. However, befriending a mudblood is, as she said, torturous. Just being in the presence of one is unbearable, but we carry on in hopes that when the time comes we can kill them all." He smiled evilly. Draco began thinking about how they had never come up with a back up plan if someone was discovered, but he thought that this was as good of one the could come up with, at least on the spot. They would have to inform Christopher, however.

Jake stopped and looked at Anna-Marie with slightly narrowed eyes and a frown. "No...I meant...that I can get a date with a girl more often than not with power...- you know what? Nevermind." It was obvious that the American didn't feel like explaining himself. Maybe to Daniel but not to anyone else.

Devin looked at them in the same way Jake had looked at Anna-Marie. "Fine...I accept your explanation. So it's totally fine if I go and confront Christopher about all this then?" He asked as he turned around and started to walk away towards where he was sure he had left Jillian and Christopher.

Anna-Marie blushed, looking down. It also appeared as if her hugging him hadn't phased him at all. Figured. Biting her lip, she forced herself to look up at him, even if it was barely. "You didn't need power to get me...." She said softly, turning around. If he felt that way, then fine, but she thought he had a right to know. Anna-Marie began to walk off. She'd let him go about his business now. The fact that he wasn't truly a supporter of the Dark Lord eased her mind, but it was still troubled.

Raven shook her head seriously. "He is currently indisposed so to speak. I believe he is currently gaining the friendship of a very important person. To have Jillian Borgin's alliance will aid us in gaining access to more...powerful items of magic." she said as he walked away. "I ask you not to speak to him presently. Wait, and we shall see that you undoubtedly receive the Dark Mark. Simple politics really."

"No! I didn't mean that..." Jake started, then she started to walk away. "Anna?" He called out, then looked around for anyone watching before taking off after her. "Anna-Marie?" It didn't take him long to catch up. She hadn't walked that far away and she wasn't moving at a pace that would create that big of a gap. A short jog, a mere five steps, and he was at her side. He put a hand on her shoulder to stop her then stepped in front of her.
Miraculously, they were behind another tree, away from prying eyes. "I didn't mean it like that. It was a joke."

"Oh...I think I have proven myself extremely loyal to the Dark Lord. If not to your eyes, then indeed to the Carrows and Headmaster Snape." Devin boldly stated, stopping in his steps but keeping his back turned towards the couple. He paused for effect then looked over his shoulder. "And I'm sure they'll be pleased with the new addition of Jake Defi to our ranks. Perhaps another person you can add to your...secret group." Another pause as he began walking away once more. "Nevertheless, I must speak with Christopher. Perhaps catch him when he is not around his target."
