Remus sighed, shaking his head. "Coming," he said softly, walking out into the Entrance Hall behind Sirius. "Sirius, don't do this to yourself, it's not a big deal."

Harry winced. "I really hate people sometimes," he muttered. "Maybe I ought to just use my influence and become Minister of Magic or something when I get out of school."
He kicked the stone floor in irritation, scraping his trainers across the stone and stubbing his toe. Hissing in anger, he took a deep breath and glanced at Gabriel. "I hope you're not bothered by Remus being a Werewolf."

"It is a big deal. It's a huge deal," Sirius replied quietly and harshly. He walked over to the main doors and pushed it open, slightly disappointed when it's weight and massive size kept it from slamming open as he had wanted it to.
Muttering curses at the door he walked outside, purposely pausing once or twice to end a poor bug's life to take out some anger.
It wasn't helping much, but it was a start.

"I hope you're not bothered by Remus being a Werewolf."
Gabriel raised an eyebrow. "You think that little of me?" he questioned softly. "I could care less if Remus was a grindylow with a Polyjuice Potion that sold dice down in Knockturn Alley. He's a nice guy, and he cares about people. That's all I need to know."

Harry grinned. "I didn't think you were," he said quietly. "I don't remember much of the Act though, but they passed it last year after some incident with Fenrir Greyback. Apparently, he threatened the Minister."

Following Sirius down the grass lawn, Remus wondered if there was any way of telling Sirius about the rest of the article without upsetting him any further. Probably not. He glanced back at Harry and Gabriel. They seemed perfectly fine and he wasn't going to let Sirius' foul mood ruin the day for them. They didn't deserve it.

"Oh wow, someone threatened the minister, let's make a law out of it," Gabriel grumbled. "Someone's always threatening someone in a position of power. It's why Aurors exist. Stupid morons."

Harry shrugged. "That's why I gave up on becoming an Auror. I'd rather not work for the Ministry. Of course, that leaves me with no idea as to what I want to do, but I figure I've got a few years before it really matters."

"Become a bartender, like me!" Gabriel advertised with a large grin. "It's fun, noctournal hours and you get to meet everyone who never mattered to begin with. And you can pull pranks on customers, which they probably won't remember, thereby getting you off the hook."
Gabriel looked around him. "Are we almost there?"

Sirius glanced over at Remus. He calmed slightly and glanced back at Harry and Gabriel before looking back at Remus.
"Don't tell me, you're not allowed to have a relationship right? I'm going to have to hide this," he said bitterly motioning between them. "From the entire world, no matter how completely happy it makes me, not because I'm gay, but because you're a werewolf. Will you be able to keep that wonderful house of yours in Wales Remus? Or is the Ministry going to take that away from you too?" Sirius shook his head and looked forward taking in a deep breath.
"It's not right Remus. It's just not right."
((I will say I came up with this post before you posted your vicious new rule Moony, I just didn't post it because the ending was tripping me up))

Remus sighed. "I don't own it," he said carefully, keeping his emotions in check. "I had to sell it and the money from that went to the Ministry, as it was worth nearly twice as much. I've been renting it at a Galleon a month from the Witch that bought it. That's fifty-two of the two hundred Galleons. The rest covers my clothes and the few books I haven't sold."

Sirius shook his head and reached out to Remus with one hand.
"Let me buy it back. Let me buy you proper clothing and all of your books, please. They have no right doing this to you. You were too young, it's not your fault, you've never done a single thing wrong in your life Remus. Please," Sirius looked at Remus pleadingly.
"I know you can take care of yourself and if you insist on calling it charity, then think of it as my way of screwing over the Ministry. That's not exactly charitable," he forced himself to grin before shaking his head.
"I hate seeing you like this, you deserve so much more."
((Now, I think we've got this covered in nearly all of our RPs Moony, so let's get the sap out of the way, and then we'll never have to deal with it again...untill the next RP sweatdrop ))

Remus shook his head, swallowing back the wave of emotion as Sirius reached out to him. It had hurt him deeply to have to sell his parents home, but the witch that had bought it had taken pity - god he still hated the looks she gave him whenever she came by for a visit, always somehow bringing along an extra something or other that she'd baked or cooked. He was supposed to be the together one and he could feel his own carefully preserved emotional walls threatening to crack.
"I-" stepping quickly into Sirius, he buried his face into his neck, clutching the front of Sirius' robes tightly in his hand as he fought back the harsh sob fighting its way up from his chest. It didn't work as well as he'd hoped and he struggled bitterly for control over his emotions, well aware that Harry and Gabriel were just a few feet away.
(I need a hug.)

Sirius quickly wrapped his arms around Remus and took in a deep shuddering breath fighting for control. "Shh, it's ok, Remus. It's going to be all right." He rubbed soft circles on Remus' back and leaned his head down to whisper in Remus' ear.
"It's going to be all right, ok? I'm not going to leave you this time. I'm going to be here and I'm going to take care of you as best as I possibly can. The Ministry can make as many laws as they want, I will not leave you, and you will not live on the street in rags. They will not win, not against us. I love you Remus."

Kathryn shifted over a bit to give the Slythering girl some more room to sit. Giving her a quick smile she turn back to her pancakes and continues to eat. Once again she resumed her role as listener, preferring to listen to the others' rambling, tantrums and the idea of going to Diagon Alley. She really didn't want to buy an outfit, it wasn't like she had anyone to go with anyway. But as the others left she felt obliged to tag along, picking up her bag and following outside.
"You coming?" Kathryn called back at the Slytherin girl and gave a hand gesture to follow. She quickly caught up in time to see Gabriel ask Harry to the ball and she couldn't help but smile at the cuteness of it all. Putting a hand up to her forehead, she brushed away to stray locks of red hair that broke free from her pony-tail and marched on. It wasn't long until the "Act for the Protection of Werewolves" came up, and immedietely Kathryn slowed down, placed her hands into her pockets and frowned. It was because of this new law that Kathryn had to look forward to a lovely life of living with her mother. It was only because of the "age of consent" part of the law that made her able to keep her stuff until she reached 17. Feeling a slight bit of relief that everyone was paying attention to the only other one who was affected by this law. "Hey Remus, it'll be ok" was all that she said, seeing as he was much to busy hugging Sirius.
