"Oh, I see," Ben said as he nodded, noticing the Raichu's sudden interest in him and laughing a little bit. "Well, I have a Pikachu.. and I have a Pidgey," he said, feeling awkwardly like he should have more by now. "I've tried training them on my own, I guess I'm just not a very good teacher... Do you know any good training tips? Maybe you can help me find techniques that will work." Ben looked up at the older girl with a hopeful expression. He was sort of floundering as a Trainer, and he would accept any help he could get. "What other Pokemon have you trained? Do you specialize in a particular type, or do you like all kinds?"

Bzzzt. There he is!

"Seulement cinq?" After seeing Keegan battle several times, it came as an honest surprise to her that he was just now past the halfway point. Then again, he wasn't really the typical trainer, but were any of them? Regardless, such an achievement deserved a reward. "Plaisir?" she smiled. "C'est vrai." It certainly would be a pleasure. Reaching back, she undid the clip and let her bra fall to the floor then, covered up her chest with her arm. Now wearing nothing but her underwear, Sasha raised her phone in the air and snapped a quick shot of herself. She looked at the picture and grinned. Oh did she look good.

So I could keep it. About to do a shoot so I have to go. Enjoy. ; ) xoxo Sasha

"Z'hat ought to put a smile on his face." she said, sending Keegan quite the scandalous shot, then putting down her phone to get changed. Didn't want to keep Celeste waiting. Her only regret was that she wouldn't be able to see his reaction in person.

Keegan muttered something under his breath as Dante walked into the Pokemon Center that he didn't catch. The auburn haired teen figured that if Keegan wanted him to hear it he would have told him. Heading over to the front desk he waited in line for a moment, it seemed like a few trainers had had a battle outside a little while ago. Waiting off in the small line forming against the counter Dante leaned against it as he pulled Kali's Pokeball out from his bag. Tossing it up a few times he watched it with bored eyes as the next trainer got their Pokemon healed. Upon catching it again an idol thought floated through his mind, maybe the reason why Kali kept escaping was due to a flaw in her Pokeball? When he caught it again he held it up closer to his face as he looked over it for cracks or something. He wasn't exactly gentle with his stuff so maybe when he threw his bag somewhere it had cracked, or maybe something happened during that time he couldn't remember?

"Ah sir it's your turn." Nurse Joy interrupted.

A little embarrassed but shaking it off Dante handed her the dark dragons Pokeball. "Could you heal my Deino? Don't let her out, she will probably bite you." Dante figured that he should give her a bit of warning, just in case."

Taking the ball the Nurse gave him a weird look, probably wondering why he hadn't trained his Pokemon not to bite yet. Dante proceeded to ignore her and wondered what he was going to do after this. Azelf had mentioned something about going somewhere new, after this little side track he was taking. Maybe he could do that, maybe he wouldn't. To be honest the auburn haired teen was feeling somewhat lost, and he didn't really want to ask Kenny because the ghost would want him to go back and be responsible. Taking his Pokemon back from the nurse he slipped it back into his bag ignoring the flashing of his phone signaling missed calls and messages and whatever else it took.

~~~~~~
Maybe another Pokemon would have appreciated that but as young as Zuko was he was not exactly happy with his trainer taking it easy on him like this. It felt like he wasn't doing well enough, like he wasn't good enough to be on this team, from the annoyed looks on his fellow fire type and the gator it showed they didn't really think that either. His horns show a small blast of fire up into the air in annoyance as he struggled to push himself harder. He didn't really pick up the pace to much but he did manage to push himself a little ahead of his trainer for a moment before she picked up her pace and continued to jog along side him.
Robin herself figured that they were about halfway done with their jog as she watched with fierce pride as Zuko pushed himself even harder. She wasn't sure what types of moves he had or anything, she would have to use her updated Pokedex for that, but she figured she could do that while the group was training. Taking a turn at the end of the park she started their loop back. If she looked up she would see a few shots of water going up into the air as Raz and Slowpoke practiced.
His cigarette was disappearing quite quickly, but that wasn't an uncommon occurrence for Keegan. He made his way over to the red-roofed building and leaned up against the wall, eyes closed as he replayed his last gym battle and those leading up to it in his mind. His Pokemon had all been brilliant, but the fact that it was only his fifth badge weighed heavily on his conscience. Even his dorky little cousin had won more than he had, and he growled slightly, deciding that he was looking forward to meeting up with her in Goldenrod and showing the little squirt a thing or two about battling. He stuck his smoke between his lips as his PokeNav once again gave that cheerful chirping sound and he sighed, wondering if Sasha planned to get to the point any time soon.
She wants my attention... so she can keep it? he thought, raising an eyebrow for what felt like the umpteenth time that day, though he wasn't quite sure what the rest of the message meant until he saw that she'd attached a photo to the message. Not sure what to expect, he clicked it open-
-and nearly sucked in and choked on the remainder of his cigarette as a result.
Needless to say, the photo had the desired effect, at least he assumed that's what she wanted as he stomped out the butt of his cigarette on the ground. His face had flushed so red that by now it rivaled his hair, his emotions shifting quickly from anger to lust to confusion and then back again. Closing his eyes didn't help any, either, as when he did, all he could see was that time at Lilycove when Sasha had jumped on him at the pier, claiming that he was her boyfriend in order to try and scare off the jerk she'd duped into flying her over there in the first place. Of course, she'd just been messing with him then, as well, and he smirked as he recalled rising to the challenge, pulling her close before they'd shared was was possibly the most heated and passionate kiss he'd ever experienced, though he'd never been sure what Sasha had thought of it.
He opened his eyes again, finding that his skin had returned to a normal colour and he glanced down at the photo again. He had to admit that it was much better than the blurry, windswept one he'd snapped of her when she flashed him during their flight to Lavaridge Town, and he smiled, deciding that he could play this game, too. His fingers made quick work of his reply this time, and it wasn't until he'd finished it and read it over to check for errors that he realized he was still smiling. Okay, so maybe he was in a good mood now.
Why thank you, darling. I shall love and treasure it forever - if you know what I mean. ; )
He'd never really been one to use smiley faces and the sort so that part felt a bit awkward, but regardless, he couldn't help but question the actual nature of his friendship/relationship with Sasha as he pressed send. Sighing, he looked down at the provocative photo again as he pivoted on a heel to turn and head into the Pokemon Center. The only problem with this scenario was that he wasn't anywhere near the front doors so in actuality he'd walked face-first into the wall, prompting laughter from the few people that had to be walking by in time to witness his stupidity (naturally). Muttering a few curses to himself, Keegan jammed the 'Nav deep into his coat pockets before finally entering the center and walking right up to the front desk to get much-deserved treatment for his party.
The laboratory seemed vastly empty now that the other two trainers had left. If she were in her right mindset, Miharu might have wondered where they were going to go, and what they were going to do. For now, however, all she could think about how this day, while not the worst day of her life by far, was slowly making a good bid for second spot overall. Time slowly ticked by, but Oshawott hadn't left her side for even a moment, not even when Professor Juniper set out a bowl of food for his lunch (and in spite of his steadily grumbling belly, at that).
It wasn't until Miharu's own stomach had start to growl that she realized that she could not sit there and stew over things forever, and when she finally looked over at the little otter, he was sitting straight up, staring longingly at the tantalizingly-good morsels of food that were only just out of his reach. Miharu bit her lower lip and placed a hand on Oshawott's round head. "Go ahead," she told the Water-type, having to push him forward as he hadn't budged. "I know how much you like your food, so go ahead."
The otter jumped to his feet and hopped up and down, his beady little eyes impossibly wide. "Osh, osh! Osha-wott wott!" he sang before hugging Miharu's leg thankfully and darting over to the bowl, almost as though he were afraid someone would take it away before he could get to it. The Oshawott's actions caused the smallest bit of a smile to appear on Miharu's face, but it faded rather quickly. What... what am I going to do now? she mused, only just able to hear her own thoughts over the Oshawott's loud crunching.
Thankfully, there wasn't much of a wait before Keegan's turn came, and he carefully placed each of his assorted PokeBalls snuggly in the tray before handing it over. The only Pokemon that didn't need treatment was little Hades, as he hadn't even really seen a real battle yet and the redhead frowned - that would have to change, and soon. He stepped back as his Pokemon received their treatment and looked around, wondering where Dante had gotten to. It didn't take long to spot the auburn-haired teen and his long jacket, seemingly staring off into space and looking somewhat troubled. "What's up with him?" Keegan murmured, thanking the nurse as his six Pokemon were returned to him. Before he put them back into their rightful places, however, he thought for a few solid moments before deciding to make at least one change.
Despite the fact that he'd once promised to never move Helios out of his party ever again, Keegan decided to send the Ninetales back home for a bit. In doing so, he withdrew his narcissistic little Grovyle, and after some thought he also swapped Moeder for Shiva, though that one was so that he could give the recently-evolved Walrein a reunion with her original trainer. The exchange took very little time and he clipped the spheres into order on his belt, save for Shiva's which he now tossed up and down as he approached Dante from behind.
"Heya Chuckles," he said, giving his friend a light thump on the back in an attempt to bring him back to reality. "You good now, or are you gonna start laughing like a nut job on me again?" the redhead asked, still showing off his amazing one-ball juggling act with Shiva's PokeBall. "What's up? You look kinda... lost," he continued, sounding a bit more serious. "Everything okay?"
=====
For the second time that day, Miharu watched as Oshawott stuffed himself to capacity before flopping down on the floor, patting his balloon-belly contentedly. It was becoming increasingly difficult not to smile at the little otter's antics, and Miharu could hardly believe that he was now hers to take care of. I guess I should have seen that coming, she thought with a chuckle, recalling how she'd given him a bit of extra food for his breakfast. Her own stomach growled again and she sighed, unable to ignore it any longer. The small bit of fruit she'd enjoyed with the Professor's Minccino early that morning seemed so long ago now, and finally, the green-haired girl stood up and looked around.
Juniper and her aides were currently not around, and as Miharu stepped forward, she spied Oshawott's empty PokeBall still sitting on the cart, along with a brand new PokeDex and another device (something that looked like a high-tech wrist watch). Were those for her? They had to be, she reasoned, as Juniper had given a PokeDex to everyone else. Oshawott had fallen asleep and Miharu smiled, holding out the red and white sphere. "Return," she said softly, and the Water-type was enveloped by the red beam and pulled into the ball without incident. She slipped it into her pocket before grabbing the other two items and she left the lab, in search of Professor Juniper.
When Keegan thumped him on the back startling him back to the present and out of his somewhat upsetting thoughts, Dante let out a small yet super manly, squeak of surprise. "Erk!" He cast a somewhat wide eyed look at the taller redhead. "I am never going to lose that name." He stated then sighed slightly before waving off Keegan's concern. "Don't worry about me. There isn't really anything you can do about it." He grinned slightly at Keegan though before continuing. "There is something though you can help me with in the here and now."
Reaching into his bag he pulled out Kenny's Pokeball. "As much as I love being your cheerleader, outfit or not, I do have another reason for meeting up with you." He wasn't going to release the Dusclops yet, just in case he had changed his mind and decided to haul his trainer back to Sinnoh and responsibility. "Kenny evolved into a Dusclops, and we happened to get our hands on a Reaper Cloth, I don't think I could ask anyone else to help me evolve him then you." He tossed the Pokeball up slightly and caught it before reaching into his bag and pulling out the ghostly cloth. "All though this would make a great costume." Dante muttered as he watched the fabric for a moment.
~~~~~~~~~

Back at the park Raz and Slowpoke were doing what Robin had suggested. Well Raz was trying to, Slowpoke looked like he was about to start taking a nap. The large dragonfly Pokemon buzzed his wings in irritation and sent a small gust of wind at the bubblegum pink Pokemon. The dopey Pokemon just gave him an irritated look and closed his eyes again. No, he wasn't going to get in trouble for not training! He was in charge here not this lazy Pokemon. Growling Raz backed up slightly before slamming into the Slowpoke in a somewhat fierce Tackle attack.

That certainly woke the Slowpoke back up. The dopey Pokemon looked about as angry or threatening as a bright pink cute fluffy blob could, not very. Still it filled its cheeks with water and sent a Water Gun flying straight at the zippy Yanmega, which was easily avoided as the dragonfly glowed blue as Speed Boost kicked in. Now that he was awake training didn't seem like it would be that bad, plus he had free reign to shoot water at the suddenly annoying bug type.

"Pikachu and Pidgey," Kasiya repeated thoughtfully. "Hey, that's a good start! Of course, if you ever want your Pikachu to evolve into a Raichu, you'll need a Thunder Stone. And with enough training, Pidgey will become Pidgeotto, but you probably already know that." She smiled at the boy, remembering well her days as a beginning trainer. She kind of blanked when Ben asked her about training tips, and she shrugged apologetically. "I don't really have any special techniques or anything like that," she admitted. "I just try to battle with every trainer that I can. And if there's no one around to battle, sometimes I get my Pokemon to train with each other. It helps them to learn about each other's abilities and strengthens their bonds as teammates. It really comes in handy later on, especially if you ever get yourself into a double battle."

Shocker had decided that Ben was safe enough and she positioned herself in front of him, smiling as best a Raichu could smile and tilting her head back. Kasiya giggled. "She wants you to pet her," she said observantly, while also pondering the other questions he'd asked. "Well, I don't really specialize in any particular type, though Electric-types are definitely my favourite. I try to keep my team as diverse as I can." She watched the mouse Pokemon for a moment, then continued on. "My first Pokemon was actually an Eevee that eventually evolved into a Vaporeon. Shocker here was the first Pokemon I ever caught on my own."

"Chuu!" Shocker said in agreement, her tail twitching ever so slightly.

"Oh yes, Monferno," Jaeshan chuckled. "Yes, I remember him," he said, hardly having enough time to confirm it as a dual Fire and Fighting-type before it was speeding across the ground and delivering a swift uppercut to Magnemite, sending the floating Pokemon spiraling through the air. "Magnemite! Hang in there, and fight back with another Thunderbolt!" Clearly rattled, the Steel/Electric-type seemed to have difficulty recovering from the strike, but regardless managed to fire off another concentrated bolt of lightning at the offending chimp Pokemon.

"Ooh, good shot, Monferno!" Lisa cheered, incredibly proud of how tough her little simian had become over the past little while. When she heard Jaeshan's command for a Thunderbolt, she grinned. "Dodge it, Monferno! And take Magnemite out with your Fire Punch!" The chimp gave a screech and did a rolling tumble to avoid being hit by the Thunderbolt, and then he carried through with his momentum and sprang up, slamming a blazing punch to Magnemite's underside and once again sending it sprawling through the air.

Magnemite slammed into the ground, leaving a slight skid mark in its wake and Jaeshan sighed. "Well, you did well enough," he said, smiling a bit as he returned the unruly Magnet Pokemon to its confinement. "A Fire-type, hmm? I got just the thing for that. Bibarel!" He flicked his wrist and the Beaver Pokemon appeared in front of him, smacking the ground with her tail. She eyed the monkey in front of her and gave a sneer. This would be easy peasy!

Up until Faustus had become attracted to Erika's Vileplume, Riza had felt as though she'd been in control of the battle. It had started to go to hell since then, culminating in the massive blast of solar energy that sent the large Dragonair tumbling back. Even though he resisted grass-type moves, the damage he'd taken from the poison plus the other attacks was more than enough to finish him, and Riza simply smiled as she returned the dragon-type to his poke ball. "You were amazing, rest now," she told it, clipping it into place on her belt before she looked across the battlefield to Erika. "It's been fun, but this ends here and now," she stated coldly, withdrawing her third and final poke ball and tossing it out. "Yula, hit that overgrown weed with Confusion." Riza's elegant Gardevoir appeared in a flash of light, quickly glancing back at her trainer as she sensed the chill of Riza's icy aura. Regardless, the psychic-type then turned to Vileplume, slashing her arm forward in a graceful manner as she sent a wave of psychic energy sweeping toward it.

"I guess fighting moves aren't going to work," Kojiro said thoughtfully, then pointed very suddenly at the Solosis. "That's just fine with me! Machop, it's time to activate your special move! Burn them to ashes with your Fire Punch!" The little Machop jumped to its feet after being bowled over by Darla's Shadow Ball and raced forward, little fist bursting into flames as it jabbed a punch into the Solosis's round body. The Reflect flashed again but the little floating psychic-type cried out in pain as she drifted back.

"Darla!" Katie cried, having not expected that kind of move to come from Machop. The Solosis looked shaken but able to fight on, mostly thanks to her Reflect. "Fight back with a Psywave!" the orange haired girl called, wishing more than ever that Darla had a more reliable psychic-type attack. The jelly like Pokemon glowed a bit before she shot off a strange wave of energy that rippled the air in front of her as it sped toward the Machop.

If it wasn't already obvious Brock didn't appear to know who or what his new challenger may be talking to, but after a moment or so the gym leader clearly realized it wasn't him. 'Okay then,' Brock thought, simply looking on as the boy in front of him seemed to discuss his choice of Pokemon with the thin air before sending it out, and finally a tiny, blue pokemon resembling a candle. The gym leader guessed it was probably a fire-type at the very least, and advantage or not, Brock knew better than to let his guard down. The candle, named Pumpkin, it seemed, started things off with a Confuse Ray. "Geodude, block it with Rock Tomb," Brock called cooly.

Geodude gave a sharp cry and hopped forward, slamming both of its fists down onto the ground, the shock wave causing a long row of sharp stone spikes to shoot up in a line in front of him, much like how his Onix had defended against Hayley's Snivy's vine whips yesterday, and with any luck they'd land a bit of a hit on the little Litwick as well. If anything Brock could tell this battle would be interesting at the very least.

"Right. Gym Leader." Mike said, watching the sharp rocks dissipate Pumpkin's attempted ray. Even though he had just fought Tate and Liza yesterday, it still hadn't sunk in that even though Brock was the first leader in Kanto, he had to earn that position first.
Should have assumed that he would be able to defend against something like that right off the bat.
"We can play that game, too! It's gourd time, Pumpkin! Minimize!" In a small puff of purple smoke, the Litwick shrunk down to half size; and just in time too. When the smoke cleared, Pumpkin was face to face with the pointed tip of rather aggressive stalagmite. The little Pokemon gasped and fluttered back a few feet to put some distance between himself and the ground.
"Whoo!" Mike threw his hands in the air for the small victory, which Pumpkin hesitantly mimicked.

Sasha took a moment to look herself over before putting on the dress. She heard her phone buzz across the room and smiled, wondering just what the boy had said in reply. Judging from the break between replies, it must have taken him quite a bit to compose himself. This only further delighted the girl, and as she admired her mostly naked body, she couldn't help but feel the temptation to send him something a bit more...revealing. "Cannot spoil, z'he boy." she said, biting her lip slightly. Oh this was just too much fun. Moving on, Sasha grabbed the dress and stepped in it, pulling it slowly up her body. The material was so soft it felt more like a light autumn breeze than an actual outfit. After tying it behind her neck, if she wasn't actively looking at herself in the mirror, she might have forgotten she was wearing anything at all.

One she slid on the matching gloves she did one final spin. From the tied off point in the back of the neck, the dress split down in two, exposing her cleavage and navel before meeting back right above her waist. The back was much less modest, aka non-existent, and it all fanned out near the bottom, reaching right above her ankles. This was a high-end dress. This was red carpet material, and she couldn't have rocked it any harder. And the best part? It worked with her beret. She bounced her way over to the door, but stopped, taking one more look at her phone. "Oh, okay." she said to the devil on her shoulder. "Couldn't hurt to get a second opinion, non?" After a quick shot, she sent one last picture message to Keegan before walking out the door.

What do you think? ; ) xoxo
Au Revoir for real this time!

Keegan smirked at the mention of Dante's newest nickname. "Nah, you'll lose it. Just wait until the next time you do something stupid." Keegan was well aware of just how utterly hypocritical he probably sounded, as he'd done plenty of stupid things himself, but for the time being he was still more concerned with what was bothering Dante. He'd opened his mouth to object when Dante said he couldn't do anything, but stopped as the other boy continued. "Help you with something? Sure," he said, but then stopped as a thought crossed his mind; the memory of it alone enough to make his face start turning red. "Just as long as it has nothing to do with women's clothing, all right? Never again, Dante. Never again."

The redhead rolled his eyes at the cheerleader comment and again refrained from adding his own two cents in, and instead stared at the PokeBall that Dante had pulled out of his bag. His eyes widened slightly at the mention of Kenny's evolution and he nodded, remembering that he'd looked up the Dusclops' final evolution during the time the once-little ghost had been with him. Keegan hadn't meant to smile as widely as he had, and he'd never admit it to anyone, not even to save his own life, how happy it made him that Dante had sought him out just for this task. His gaze fell on the strange, ghostly cloth that Dante then took from his bag and gave a low whistle. "I wouldn't bother," he said with a smirk. "That is so not your colour."

He tossed up Shiva's PokeBall one more time and caught it again, thinking fate or the universe or karma or some s**t was really after them today as he'd taken the Walrein out on a whim, and he nodded at Dante as he rolled the sphere along his fingertips. "I'd be happy to help you evolve Kenny," he said finally, nodding at the now-broody auburn-haired boy. His PokeNav chirped again, and even though he couldn't help but wonder (and hope) that it was Sasha sending him more scantily-clad photos of herself, he ignored it for now as his focus was on Dante and Kenny. "You just tell me when, and I'm game."
=====
Miharu's search would not last long, as the moment she left the lab she was able to hear Juniper's voice coming from her office. She decided that the polite thing to do would be to wait, as the one-sided conversation quickly made it clear that the professor was on the phone. Miharu knew it would be rude to eavesdrop, but the harder she tried not to pay attention, the more clearly she seemed to hear the woman's voice.

"Yes, Papa, everything is fine." A pause, and Miharu could make out the faintest sound of the other voice on the line, but she couldn't understand what he was saying. "Yes, the new trainers left some time ago. And yes, yes, you were right about that as well." The professor gave a soft sigh as she listened, and Miharu could imagine her nodding along in silent agreement. "Chargestone Cave? No, not recently... What do you mean you got your pen stuck inside a Klinklang's gears? How does that even happen, Papa?"

Miharu stifled a giggle, looking over as Juniper's Minccino darted by. Spotting the girl, the little Chinchilla Pokemon stopped and doubled back, hopping up and down excitedly as he was happy to see her. Naturally, he was within Juniper's line of sight from the office, and it wasn't much longer after that when the phone call ended. The fluffy grey Pokemon darted away as Juniper appeared in the doorway, looking down at Miharu with a kind smile. "Can I help you with something, Miharu?" she asked. Even her teal-coloured eyes seemed to be smiling.

Damien wasn't at all surprised to see Gastly returned to him relatively quickly, as the Ghost-type hadn't suffered a lot of damage in the match and he looked around the large lobby. It was getting quite late, but naturally, Damien didn't feel tired in the slightest so he hadn't even thought of finding some place to crash for the night. He did spot Karrigan wandering around the lobby, probably waiting for him, and though it was against his better judgement, he walked toward her. It was easy to see that the redheaded girl was tired, judging by the way she was trying hard not yawn.

"Someone looks ready for bed," he commented dryly as he came up behind her, slipping his right hand into his jacket pocket. "Any idea of where you plan to sleep tonight?"

With a bug catcher right in front of him Kressen knew he could get some more training in before the big match with Brock. He'd need all the help he could get against that gym leader. Half his team was weak to rock types after all. That meant Gilgamesh and Odin were his best bets. "Alright then I'll take you on Todd!" Kressen withdrew a pokeball and sent out Odin.

Todd danced about excitedly then withdrew a pokeball of his own. "It will be a three on three match! Switching out it permitted." He threw out a Kakuna that simply fell onto the ground and wriggled a bit. "Kakuna use harden!" The cocoon pokemon glowed bright then simply sat there.

"...Odin use Psycho Cut!" Odin slashed and sent the energy spinning towards the Kakuna who simply sat there and got bashed into a tree. Somehow Kressen felt that this battle wasn't even fair.

Grinning as Keegan mentioned the fact that Dante had indeed gotten the other boy to dress in drag he just waggled his eyebrows at him. "I think I might have some pictures of you in that outfit you know" He didn't. "In case you ever wanted to show someone your first time." Keegan probably wanted to shut that small bit of info away from everyone.

Rubbing the cloth between his two fingers for a moment Dante wondered how exactly this cloth would evolve his once tiny, now huge, Dusclops into the giant ghost Pokemon he had seen in the picture. "I didn't know you knew anything about colours." Dante commented offhandedly, he himself had almost no sense in fashion and only dressed in things his mom had drilled into his head. "Then again one only has to take one look at your jacket to know you are a fashion expert." He eyed the huge holes torn into the jacket. " Anyway let's get this done before one of us gets us kicked out of the Pokemon Center." Remembering all the trouble they got into whenever they were together for any sort of time Dante figured nothing was really off limits on this.

Heading over to the trading area he released the large ghost Pokemon in a spot that wouldn't scare to many people. "Hey there buddy. Want to say hi to Keegan? Show him how big you've gotten?" Dante teased the large Dusclops who just rolled his single eye at his trainer before turning his gaze to the redhead. It had been so long since the ghost had seen the trainer who he had spent a lot of his short life with. Not to mention who had been his trainer for a bit. Kenny stomped, as much as a ghost could over to Keegan excitedly and tried to wrap him up in a hug, which was a little hard when he had no arms.

"Oh I see who you really love." Dante muttered but he felt happy seeing how joyous his Dusclops was to see the redhead.

~~~~~~~~
When Robin managed to get back to small clearing she had left her Pokemon she was greeted with an almost full out battle. "Oh wow!" She stared at speedy Yanmega who was doing aerial acrobatics that were truly impressive while Slowpoke was starting to get very creative with his water blasts. The redhead ignored a lot of the looks that some of the other park goers were giving her. "You guys are so good at this!" She cheered practically vibrating in excitement. She watched for a moment longer before turning to her other three Pokemon. "Ok we can't let them get ahead of us! Let's practice together ok? Ace and Black*Star, you two need to get along better, I saw both of you earlier, don't think I didn't notice you try to take a bite out of your team mate Black*Star!" She scolded while Ace just shot the Croconaw a smirk before Robin rounded on him. "And don't think I didn't notice you not doing anything about that! If he tries to bite you punch him! You two need to work out your differences. " She huffed out a breath and put her hands on her hips trying to look as serious as she could. "That's why you two are going to duke it out."
For the third time in five minutes, the redhead's face matched his hair perfectly and he glared daggers at Dante, completely oblivious to the fact that he was bluffing. "Don't you even...." he grumbled, already too flustered to be able to think of a suitable threat to lay down should Dante ever produce said pictures. If now was ever a time that Keegan wanted to get hit with laser-guided amnesia, now was it - if he never had to think about that day again, it would be too soon.
His face had started to revert to a normal colour as he watched Dante poke at the Reaper Cloth, shrugging at the comment about colours and nodding along as Dante went on to point out that he was still wearing the ratty jacket that Hades had shredded, and even after buying no less than two replacement ones, at that. "....shut up," was all he could grumble in return, along with a string of cusses as he emptied his pockets of anything valuable before yanking it off, crumpling it into an oddly-shaped and lumpy ball of torn leather and hurling it into the nearest trashcan, the weight of it actually knocking the bin over. And no, he didn't bother to go over and pick it up, either.
Keegan was in the process of removing one of the spare jackets from his bag when Dante released Kenny, and the sight of the huge Dusclops nearly froze the redhead on the spot. The Duskull had always been so, well, tiny. "Kenny, you're looking a bit... chunky," he said, nodding as he slipped his arms into the new jacket. It didn't have the same smell or feel of his old one, but at least this one didn't give people the impression that he was a hobo. He'd only just stuffed his cigarettes and lighter into a pocket before the Dusclops was trying to wrap him in a hug, which sort of worked and sort of didn't as Keegan suddenly recalled something in the Ghost-type's PokeDex entry about being sucked into the void or having his soul ripped out of him if he happened to look inside the Dusclops' hollow body. Somehow, Keegan managed to free himself and he looked up at Kenny, grinning. "Yeah, Kenny. It's good to see you too," he said, nodding to Dante as he stepped in front of the trading machine and dropped Shiva's PokeBall into the slot on his side. "Let's get this show on the road, then!"
Miharu forced an apologetic smile for not-so accidentally eavesdropping on the professor's conversation, and naturally, her curiosity got the better of her. "Papa?" she asked, but then immediately bowed her head. "Um, sorry. I wasn't trying to be rude," she said quietly, a slight blush appearing in her cheeks.
"Yes, you heard right," Juniper laughed, dismissing the girl's apology with a wave of her hand. She gestured for Miharu to enter her office where she picked up a framed photograph of herself and an older man standing next to each other. "Cedric Juniper - my father," she said, nodding to the photo. "He is a professor and researcher as well. He specializes in Pokemon distribution and biology, although he is a bit..." she trailed off as she searched for the right word.
"Strange?" Miharu offered helpfully. She hadn't missed the part about the pen and the Klinklang's gears - whatever that was.
"...Unorthodox," Juniper laughed. "But, his heart is always in the right place." She took note of the two items in Miharu's hand, and continued. "Is there something you needed?" she asked.
"Well, yes," Miharu answered, now holding up the PokeDex and fancy wristwatch-thing. "I was wondering if these things...?"
"...Are for you?" Juniper smiled. "Why yes, Miharu, they are yours. Of course, you know what a PokeDex is-" Miharu had nodded, as Leroy had taken her first one -"and that other device is what's known as a Cross-Transceiver, or XTransceiver for short. It works as a means of communication, and it even has photo and video chat options, if you want to use them."
Miharu nodded, having slipped the PokeDex into her pocket with Oshawott's PokeBall as she studied the XTransceiver. No doubt Leroy had taken her PokeNav, as well, and she felt her stomach turn itself in knots at the thought of her friends and family being unable to contact her. They must think something has happened, she thought worriedly, now strapping the device to her wrist. It actually looked pretty smart sitting there, and she smiled at it. "Professor Juniper, I... I don't know what to say," she said, fighting back another wave of tears.
Juniper smiled again. "Then how about just saying thanks?"
It took a moment, but the girl managed a small smile, as well. "Thank-you."
Dante just watched the jacket fly and knock over the trash can, having no intention on picking it up himself either. He did grin though as Kenny got a bit depressed at being called fat. "He just hit his growth spurt, remember how tiny he used to be?" He put his hands a small distance apart as if to signify how tiny the Dusclops used to be when he was a Duskull, Kenny seeing his trainer making fun of him made an abortive punching movement that just kinda phased through Dante's body. "Hey that feels super weird!" Dante whined as he shivered shaking himself a bit. "Ok buddy, how about you put this on so we can get you all evolved. That way you can kick Keegan's butt all over Hoenn. After all, he is just jealous he doesn't have you on his team anymore." Dante added that last bit on as he wrapped the cloak around Kenny's neck like a cape. "See you on the other side." He muttered and not caring if Keegan made fun of him for a moment he gave the Pokemon who had stuck with him through almost everything a quick hug before sucking him back into the Pokeball.
"All right let's do this." Dante stepped up to the other side of the trading machine and put down Kenny's Pokeball in the other slot. Ideally he wondered who the redhead was trading over. Shrugging he hit the ok button and watched as the machine started to light up.
The two Pokemon gave Robin incredulous looks and the small Larvesta was even giving Robin a weird look. "No, I am sick of it you two! You are always fighting, so I want you guys to get it all out of your system for now. If we have to do this every town then we will! So get your butts over there and just let it all out." She pointed a finger at a more dry side of the grass clearing, Slowpoke and Raz were doing a great job of just spraying everywhere.
Robin watched the two head off a little ways before planting her butt down into the grass and scooping Zuko into her lap. "Hey there, I haven't forgotten about you but I need to deal with them first. So we are going to watch them while I have you do some basic training ok? So I saw that little burst of flame you did earlier out of your horns. You think you can do that again?" She questioned keeping one eye on Zuko and the other on her two problem children. She grinned as Zuko gave a small nod and a few more quick embers spurted out of his horns. "Great, I want you to try to keep having fire come out of your little horns for as long as you can."
The laugh that escaped Keegan's throat as Kenny gave his trainer a sort-of ghostly punch was a little more than obnoxious, and he shrugged, nodding to the Dusclops. "Kenny knows that's not what I mean. When he was with me, he never ate more than like, one friggin' apple a day. And besides, as much fun as he was to have around, it was totally worth it to crack you in between the eyes with his PokeBall when I gave him back to you," he added, grinning like a jackass. That is, until he remembered his karmic payback a few days later as his own father had purposefully beaned him in the forehead with a beat-up old badge case. Payback was a b***h after all.
He rolled Shiva's PokeBall around the slot a bit as Dante outfitted the Dusclops with his new accessory. "Very fashionable," Keegan remarked, nodding like he were someone who knew the faintest thing about fashion. "Yes, very chic. Slimming, even," he went on, still never really knowing to quit while he was ahead as Dante gave his Pokemon a quick hug before returning him to his PokeBall. Keegan was vaguely reminded of the time he'd evolved his Graveler into a Golem (much to Flannery's obvious horror) as Dante flipped the switch, but now, it seemed so long ago. "Here we go," the redhead, watching the machine as it began to hum, both PokeBalls being sucked into the tubes before being exchanged, and dropped down again. "Okay Kenny, time to get your badass on," the redhead said as he picked up Kenny's PokeBall and clicked it open.
=====
The next hour or so consisted of Miharu receiving a crash-course in the use of her new XTransceiver, packing up her belongings the new messenger bag she'd chosen with her new outfit and sitting down to one last lunch with Professor Juniper and her aides. Well, perhaps her first actual meal with everyone, as now she felt more like a welcomed guest and less like an intruder. Oshawott had joined them as well, though he was still a bit too full from indulging earlier to eat anything else. Once they were finished, the aides cleared the dishes away, leaving Miharu, Professor Juniper and the now-dozing-on-his-chair Oshawott alone at the table.
"Have you put any thought into giving Oshawott a nickname?" Juniper asked as she sipped her tea. The otter's ears twitched and he drooled some on the chair but didn't stir as he was mentioned.
Miharu, who had been staring out the far window at particularly interesting patch of nothing, missed the question. "Mmm, what?" she said dreamily before snapping back. "Oh, I'm sorry! Can you repeat the question?"
"Are you going to give your Oshawott a nickname?" Again, the otter flailed some in his sleep. "And stop apologizing - you've done nothing wrong."
"Sorry-" Miharu clamped a hand over her mouth, exhaled slowly through her nose and composed herself. "I have a few ideas, actually, she said, leaning over and plucking the Water-type from the chair. Amazingly enough, he slept on. "I've always nicknamed my Pokemon," she said fondly, looking down at the Pokemon on her lap, her heart breaking yet again as she thought of her missing team. "To me, this little guy feels like an Emile."
As Miharu uttered his name, Emile's eyes snapped open, and he sat up, yawning and stretching. "Oshawott?" he asked sleepily as he rubbed his eyes.
"I think it's just perfect," Juniper agreed.
"Me too," Miharu said, nodding. "Emile it is, then."
