((my goodness I've been gone for ages, but I'm not lost! Strange~ biggrin ))
Alexandria sighed and looked at Lenore with wide eyes,
"I think she's not proven herself untrustworthy as of yet, and so there is no reason not to." She nodded to herself for a moment, then felt the ship shift beneath her feet.
"Excuse me if you will, I must see if the Captain needs me. up top. Could you keep an eye on her please?" she motioned to the Kannibal before rushing from the galley, up the stairs and into the control room.
"Captain! Are any charts needed presently?" She satluted upon entering.

[Kitchen]
Penelope had slipped past everyone in the galley on her way to the kitchen. She prepared a bowl of stew for Mr Finagle and set it on the counter just as he walked in. The vest and shirt looked better than the dress had, less like a drag queen.
"Mr Finagle, you have good timing." the cook smiled at him and looked around to make sure that no one else needed anything. There were some dishes waiting for her to wash them, but they could keep waiting.
((I don't know where I've been, but now I'm back.))

After sitting in his seat in the corner for almost two hours and doing nothing but twiddling his thumbs and eavesdropping on whatever conversation there was available, Dominik looked as Penelope entered the kitchen. He got up from his seat and followed her until he reached the door, assuming that he was not allowed to enter. He decided to play it safe and knock before asking his odd question.
"Do you have any scrap meat that I may borrow?"

Penelope opened the door beside her, kicking a little doorstop under the bottom to keep it open, and smiled at the professor. She laughed at the question and nodded. "Of course, but you don't have to worry about returning it." she took the meat that had gristle or too much fat on it from the freezing room attached to the kitchen. With the skill attained from spending years in a butcher shop, Penelope wrapped the meat in tidy wax paper packages. "May I ask why you need it?"

Dominik smiled in an unintentionally creepy fashion as he accepted the package.
"I am going to test some chemicals on it due to the fact that it is the closest I can get to testing my chemicals on a living thing. I am trying to see if I can vaporize it to know if my chemicals would work well for what would obviously be called a vaporizer. The last thing I really need is angry political activists at my front door with pitchforks and torches because of me testing my deadly chemicals on the living, which kind of defeats the whole purpose of them being deadly. Nevertheless I can simply just assume that one would no longer be alive after being vaporized."
Not being completely oblivious to the fact that he was babbling as a response to a straight-forward question, Dominik ended his explanation abruptly.
"I am terribly sorry about that unnecessary rambling of mine;I just got excited. Well, I'll just be off. Thank you for the meat."

Penelope was sorry she had asked. The Professor rambled on and her mind wandered from the meat he had requested to other strange request that she had heard in her grandfather's butcher shop. The strangest had been...Oh, he's stopped talking.
"You're welcome. Tell me how your experiment works out." she smiled kindly. Penelope was intreagued in the professor's work, her mind just seemed to get off track when explanations were in order.

{Khaos Engine room}
The mechanics had been skillful with their short time tending the engines. The repairs had not only been completed but they had tuned both engines to peak performance. When Daniel sought them out after stowing the last of the cargo from the merchant, he found the engines in fine repair and ready for the skies. Pleased at their quick work, he paid the two mechanics nearly triple the going rate. (the money form the impromptu parade and the new cargo helped) He also paid his own mechanics their wages.
"Lets get this show on the road. Thank you for your services. We shall depart In around three hours. Cant wait to get The kahos back in the sky." shaking hands with the two, Daniel heads to the bridge.
{bridge}
Seating himself at the helm, but not activating anything, Captain Daniel looks proudly at his ship. Leaning to a speaker tube, he calls out "ATTENTION PASSENGERS AND CREW. WE SHALL BE DEPARTING COG ISLAND IN THREE HOURS. PLEASE FINISH ANY BUSINESS IN TOWN, AND ANY NEW PASSENGERS THAT HAVE NOT SPOKEN WITH ME ABOUT FARES, PLEASE STOP BY THE BRIDGE. THANK YOU."

[Silas's Cabin]
Clutching his head, Silas woke as the booming voice of the Captain cackled out of a pipe in the wall. In desperation, he blocked it with a sock. Sighing, he put on his tophat and coat before stepping out of the cabin. The last thing he remembered was fighting constructs and, ah yes... the Southern Comfort. Now it made sense.
Ambling down the hallway, he approached the stairs. He followed them up to the bridge, emerging in a shiny room with lots of intricate and complicated instruments which Silas knew was far too valuable for him to be allowed to touch, though he dearly wanted to.
He announced his presence quietly to the Captain, still leaning against the door frame in pain from the hangover.

Dominik nodded at Penelope and decided to add some of his charming pessimism into the situation, "Even though it is obvious that any experiment of mine will be a complete failure, I will remember to tell you the results anyway."
By the time he left the galley, Dominik heard the captain's voice on the loud speaker. Because the message was of his own concern, he decided to save his weird little experiment for later and head on over to the Bridge. Once he reached the bridge, he found Silas there before him. He assumed that he was there for the same reason. "I guess I'll just wait my turn."

~ hold ~ "Three hours? Plenty of time." Myles was reminded by that little show that he'd been letting certain entertainment skills lapse. He goes to his autogyro, retrieves a pair of devices that appear to mainly consist of curved steel strips, and straps them to his feet. Lenore looked at Alexandria leave then turned to the Kannibal. She cocked her head to one side and then blinked twice.
"Madam... Pray tell me, if you can, may, or will, where are you from?" she said with her childlike curiosity.
Upon hearing the capitain's words, Alexandre kissed his sister's head and left to the bridge with an uspoken "careful, girlie".

Given he had a little of a poor sense of direction, he took a bit too long to find the bridge, but he finally did. He beamed at the girl eh had seen earlier, and then looked at the capitain.
"What fares were you talking about, sir?" he said.

"Ah welcome gentlemen. I am speaking of traveling fees. If you do not intend to join our crew and work, then I must charge for a ticket. I wont make the ticket costly, unless you intend to stay with us on a particularly long voyage."
The captain named a modest sum per passenger to the anachronism. The cost was much less than most captains would charge, but Captian Daniel was not like most airmen.

"Ah... well..." mumbled Silas, still rubbing his forehead. "Technically, I'm the richest man on this ship, if not in this port..." He sighed. "However, this seems to be a useless fact at the moment, as I don't, per se, have any money on me..."
He groaned, realising what this meant. "I suppose I'm going to have to work for my keep then, Captain..."

"I doubt that my non-functioning chemical weapons would bring any benefit to this ship. I'll just pay up." Dominik took out his wallet and withdrew the requested amount of money before handing it over to the captain. "If I can think of any way be of assistance, I will talk to you about it."
