As Jaeshan approached Mount Moon, he was pleased to see that the police had since cleared out, and peace seemed to settle upon the vast mountain once more. Jaeshan wondered if the Pokemon were going to settle again inside the dark caverns of Mount Moon, although they'd be pretty jumpy after the chaos that had recently went down. He also wondered what state the tunnels and passageways would be in after the cave-ins. He veered off the main path to a well-hidden one that most passers-by would miss, and headed off through the trees. The air was crisp and fresh, and the leaves and undergrowth were still soaked with dew. Mightyena lead the way, only his tail visible in front as they navigated their way through the forest.

Kilik blinked at Koga as he followed the Poison leader to an area in the Gym. He was brought to a small room and the door was shut. Koga called through the door: "Sit in the center." The boy sat down along with Flareon. There was a click and then a slight rumble. Suddenly, more than twenty Golbat were flying around the room in all different directions. Flareon wailed loudly and Kilik sunk down slightly.
"I'm supposed to be calm in this?!" he barked at Koga. The Golbat began to emit Supersonic through the room, causing the trainer and POkemon to cover their ears.
"If you don't learn to be calm, you won't know what to do in a tense situation..." whispered Koga.

Kael emited a sigh of relief as he approached the train to Johto.
"You saved us Munchlax." he said.
Munchlax grinned as he tossed the apple core into the garbage can. Kael grinned as he and Munchlax boarded the train. As he took their seats Munchlax pressed his face against the glass of the window.
"Munch, lax munchlax munch."
"Yep we're off to Goldenrod City."

Kael sighed as he sketched out Munchlax's eyes in his sketchbook.
"I wonder when we're gonna get their?"
Munchlax stretched and yawned.
"Munch munch lax."
He grinned "Yes hopefully before you evolve."
Kael pulled a set of colored pencils from his backpack and began shading his picture.
"Hey Munchlax...could you keep still for a second?"
Munchlax nodded and tensed up, not moving. "Thank you."
Kael quickly filled in most of Munchlax's body with forest green and then colored his feet and face peach.
"THere, you can move now. What do you think?" Kael held up the picture to MUnchlax.
It grinned and waved at its drawn double. Kael smiled as he put the sketchbook back into his bag and began to mess around with his Pokedex.

After feeding his Pokemon and himself with the fruit and berries he purchased earlier he took up resident inside Slateport's PokeCenter. The sky darkened outside signalling that nightfall was arriving. Seth watched the stars and the golden cresent moon appear shining it's brilliant glow through the window. He gave a contempt sigh and rested on the couch near the east side of the Pokemon Center which was deviod of other trianers. Satisfied that the contest was tommorrow he quickly slipped into a dream like state instantly falling asleep.

The Golbat stopped. The screeching disappeared. Kilik and his Flareon rested in the center of the room. Koga opened the door, clicking his tongue. "Come. I will show you to your sleeping quarters." The boy followed the ninja, the small Fire Pokemon close-by.
The Leader opened a door, revealing a room with a small sleeping bag and blanket on the ground. "If it's not adequate, it could also be a lesson in learning to be comfortable in a normally uncomfortable situation," Koga laughed. The ninja went into the room and opened a closet. A large pillow rested in his hands. This was for Flareon. Kilik walked inside and laid down on the ground.
"Good night, master," was all he said.
"Your training begins at dawn. Sleep well. Once you learn to be calm," the leader explained, "your discepline will be complete."

Munchlax grinned and jumped off the train onto the platform. Kael quickly followed pulling out a Pokeball and pointing it at Munchlax.
"Munchlax return."
The Pokemon dissapeared in a flash of red light.
"Now to find the Pokemon I'm looking for..."
He pulled out his Pokenav and analyzed the map.
"Hmmm. It looks like just south of jere will be a good place."
He put the Pokenav on his belt and exitec the train station, heading for the southern exit of Goldenrod City.

The bright morning light shone threw the windows of the Pokemon Center waking Seth up. He stretched and gave a quite yawn before he got up from the couch. He went into the bathroom and splashed his face with icy cold water. Fully aware of his surroundings now he made his way to the Pokemon Contest building. A crowd already had gathered around the entrace.
Arriving in the room with the other contestants he got a good look at his competetion. Most of the trainers looked easy enough to beat even if it was his first time. The girl wearing the red bandana and the boy with the Roselia on the otherhand looked quite hard to beat.
A woman appeared with a flicker of the large screen before them announcing that the contest had begun. She explained all of the rules and called out the contestants name. One by one the coordinators put on a dazaling display with their Pokemon.
"Next up is Seth from Pallet Town!" The lady announced. Seth took a deep breath and walked up on stage.

Kael looks back at Goldenrod City.
"I think we're far enough... Go Munchlax!"
The Pokemon appeared in a flash of white light.
"Mmmkay Munchlax, its time to learn Hyper Beam!"
Munchlax grinned as Kael put the small gold disc into his TM case and a hologram flashed out of the end. It showed a Mightyena opening its mouth, then a small ball of orange energy appeared in its mouth. A few seconds after a beam of pure energy burst out of its mouth. After watching the short video a few times Kael looked at his Munchlax.
"You think you can do that?"
Munchlax nodded and opened its mouth aiming it at a nearby rock.
"Use Hyper Beam!"
A ball of energy formed in Munchlax's mouth and then sputtered out.
"Good try. Lets try again. Hyper Beam!"
A thin ray of pale energy burst out of Munchlax's mouth and then dissapeared.
"Use it again!" "Munchlax munch lax lax!"
The globule of energy formed and then an enormous blast of golden-orange energy obliterated the boulder. Kael's mouth dropped.
"That was really powerful. Didnt take as long as I expected either. NIce job Munchlax."
Munchlax grinned and did a quick goofy dance.

"Let's go Aero!" Seth called tossing out the red and white Pokeball. With a burst of crismon light the Dragonair appeared. "Let's get things started! Twister Aero then fly into it!"
The Dragonair began to spin around making a small tornado on the stage it then flew into the center, the eye of the storm. "Thunder Wave!" Seth eclaimed. Aero gave out a cry and lightning struck the Twister creating a cone shapped attack with electricity crackling on it exterior.
"Let's finish this with Dragon Dance Aero!" Aero preformed the battle ritual creating blue orbs emitting a sense of power from them. The spheres were caught in the Twister creathing a dazzleing affect. Aero appeared calm and satifised within the attack. The Twister had blue orbs spinning around it with the soft crackle of lightning dancing on the air wave.
A collective gasp could be heard from the audience. The attack fadded away as the judges scored Seth's performance. Twenty-nine appeared on the screen, Seth knew he was going onto the next round. There were only two more contestants left for the opening, the girl with the red bandana and the boy with the Roselia.

Munchlax frowned perplexed at the Pokenav before him.
"Come on Munchlax, at least look at the thing the right way."
He reached down and turned it over for the small Pokemon. After a few minutes MUnchlax pointed at a point at a point on the map.
"Lilycove City? But it's in Hoenn... Why would we go back."
Munchlax grinned and pointed at the Ches French restaurant on the map.
"We're going two hundred-fifty miles for a restaurant?"
Munchlax shook its head and then pointed at the contest building.
"You wanna try a contest? But we hardly know any moves, and we have no experience."
Munchlax shrugged "Munch lax munch lax munch munch"
"Yes I suppose everyone strarts off with no experience. Okay. Lets go back to Goldenrod so we can get on the next train.

I'm in Slateport's by the way. >>))
The boy, which he found out was Drew, had an amazing opening. Seth even doubted that he could beat such an experienced coordinator. The girl, May, on the other hand wasn't as good as he expected.
The semi-finalists were displayed on the screen as all the contestant returned to the back room.
Drew vs Alex
Seth vs May
Seth smiled at the pairing. It was going to be interesting. The four remaining contestants stayed in the back room as the lowest scores left. Drew's battle with Alex began on the stage. It was a five minute fight with a point meter and judges. Drew's battle style was incredible, and the battle was over in a few minutes.
"Drew moves on to the final round! Next up is Seth verses May!" The announcer called and the duo walked up on stage.

Kilik woke up weary eyed as the sun peeked through the window. Flareon was above him, licking his forehead. Koga sat in the opposite corner of the room, drinking a cup of tea. "It's about time you woke up."
"Wh...what time is it?" Kilik grumbled. A smirk appeared on the leader's lips.
"It's ten in the morning. Meaning you've woken up five hours late." The leader stood up and picked up Kilik by the neck of his shirt. "If you plan on becoming diseplined, you're going to have to learn how to get yourself up!" There was thud as the boy fell onto the floor.
Remember... he thought, this is for Nina... Kilik brushed himself up and followed out to the room where he would be assaulted with Golbat.

Kael frowned slightly as the sea flashed by and Munchlax bounced happily on his seat.
"Munchlax...you do know we're going to the master rank contest. Which we can't enter until we beat normal, super, and hyper rank."
Munchlax looked dumbfounded. Kael sighed.
"It looks like we're gonna have to go to Verdanturf Town on foot."
Munchlax shrugged in apology.
"Its okay. I'm sick of trains anyway."
