Streamjumper Ok, did anyone get the invites for the Strange Brew private showing? I went through the process, but it seems that Cinemas isn't giving me a link to it to add people or even get into the showing I set up. evil I got two. rofl

Streamjumper Zelyhon Streamjumper So... Myself; Yourself... decent series... but the ending? Not so great. Two characters never get their shared problem resolved, one character spends the series on the sidelines, another gets more or less ignored after the first half, and the big climax is rushed before LOL, time skip that really doesn't show all that ******** much. Seriously, going the extra ep to 14 or cutting back on some of the extra stuff would have left more time to handle s**t. I agree. I mean, they'd have had two extra episodes (okay, maybe a little less) by cutting Hinako, who is by far the least relevant character who gets any focus in the series. Aside from the few actual plot points in those episodes (which can be done elsewhere), that would give enough time to finish fleshing things out. I mean, I liked the end well enough, but we really didn't get any sort of closure for most of the characters. You've summarized most of what I'd point out. Too many things left unexplored by the series, even as it hints at them. I still enjoyed the series, but a couple more episodes to wrap everything up before showing the future would have been nice. I can't say too much negative about the timeskip, because I do enjoy when series show what happens after (best example, in my opinion, end of the Kare Kano manga), but a little more before the skip would have made it quite a bit better. A little more after the time skip would have been nice too. I also wish something had been done with Aoi, my favorite character in the whole show. How did I guess that Aoi was your favorite? XD I liked Aoi a lot as well. It's always nice, in a group like that, to have at least one character who isn't horribly psychologically scarred and borderline psychotic. Helps when they work very well for comic relief too. XD

I just don't think it's possible. We poured all our effort into knocking a point off the gator attack for version 2.1, by 2.3 we should be able to begin putting up some kind of defense against Changling mindgames. Which will probably crumble horribly. BUT THE HELMET STAYS! mad

WE LIVE 10-15 FRIGGIN MINUTES AWAY! scream Personally, I just don't think it makes sense, as that's money that can be spent on other stuff, like DVDs or wallscrolls or other assorted stuff. What's weird is that at this point, it's not the $20 or so of my share so much as the desire to use my own shower and have my own bed and my entire closet and stuff when its so close, even if the commute ends up taking an hour. I think there's something to be said about spending money to have a good time. Cons are about having a good time and if a little cash in the direction of a hotel room (or better food) makes the time more enjoyable, I think it's worth it. Better food and whatever other amenities you want to spend money on to have a good time, sure, but I still don't see the point in getting a room when home is close enough that Lightrail can take you there easily. I always prefer my own room to somewhere else, and there you have most of those things you cite as being nice in a hotel room, but better. To each their own, though. I just think that money could be better spent.
